COREY, William (Bill) In his forty seventh year after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Bill passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his sister's home in Ottawa on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008. He is survived by his son Michael William of Yellowknife, mother Barb Corey of Sarnia, father Neil Corey (Angie Lambert) of Grimshaw, Alberta, sister Cindy Bricker (Dave) of Sarnia, brother Mark Corey (Debbie) of New Dundee, sister Patti Craven (Scott) of Ottawa and brother Grant Corey (Fiona) of Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. He will be sadly missed by his ex-wife Carol Nychka of Yellowknife and all his nieces and nephews; Todd, Josh, Shaun, Ashley, Dylan, Dustin, Matthew, Skye and Tara. We would like to thank all the health care workers from Yellowknife, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa who took such good care of Bill during his long journey. Thank you also to all our family and friends for their thoughts and support. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 26th, at the Orleans Legion (800 Taylor Creek Drive) from 1 to 3 p.m., with another to be arranged for at a later date in Yellowknife. A measure of a man is how he will be remembered. George will always remain in our memories as a loving father, husband, son and brother. A successful film distributor, movie producer, sports car enthusiast and scuba diver, he was a kind and generous man with a zest for life and a wonderful sense of humour. BOGNER, Willie April 11, 1926 - July 20, 2008 Willie Bogner, beloved husband of Clara Bogner for fifty-five years, passed away on July 20, 2008 at the age of 82 years. Willie was born and raised in Didsbury, farming at Westcott prior to moving to Didsbury in 1972, where he ran Bill's Gulf Service and then worked for the Town of Didsbury until his retirement in 1991. Willie is survived by his four daughters, Dwila (Rod) Slatcher, Pam (Wes) Thomas, Rhonda (Glenn) Schneidmiller and Jill (Rod) Campbell, his five grandchildren Chantell and David Slatcher, Anthony and Benjamin Thomas, and Meghan Campbell. He is also survived by two sisters, Ethel Baudistel and Helen (Robert) Brookwell, two brothers, Fred (Bernice) Bogner and Ted (Lorna) Bogner, and numerous sister and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant son, Mark Cameron Bogner, his parents John and Helene Bogner, and siblings, Oscar, Daniel, Lilly and Rosie Bogner. GRANT, Douglas George 1929 - 2008 Douglas Grant, beloved husband to Winnie of Chestermere, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Strathmore Hospital on July 20, 2008, at the age of 79 years. Doug will be lovingly remembered by his children, Brian (Jen), Kevin (Alana); son-in-law, Mario; ten grandchildren, Marci, Matt (Bonnie), Murray, Russell, Mark, Ryan, Megan, Logan, Cole and Dylan. He is also survived by his brother Jack (Helen) and sister Jean (Ray) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Doug was predeceased by his daughter Debra and brothers, Red and Ken. Doug was born in Winnipeg, MB, moved to Alberta when he was in his late teens and resided in the Calgary area for over fifty-five years. He worked for Trimac Transportation for over thirty-eight years. Doug loved farming, spending time at the local arenas and was involved in the Chestermere 4H Club. Doug will be deeply missed. Braeden was born on January 11, 1992, in Burlington, Ontario. Braeden leaves his mother Dawn and father Brad, his older brother Curtis and his younger brother Keil. STAINGER, Wesley John September 18, 1944 - July 23, 2008 Wesley John Stainger passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 63 years of age. Wesley spent his younger years in Exshaw. In 1973, he met, fell in love with, and married Doreen Goski. They were a devoted couple and lived in Calgary throughout their married life. Wes loved life and had a great sense of humour. He was also a very generous and kind-hearted person. He made the most of every day and possessed a very positive attitude. Wes enjoyed socializing and never stopped making new friends. He especially enjoyed camping trips with his wife, family members and his good friend Jack Northam. His friends and caregivers at his Waverley House care home were like family.
