NEALE, Lily Margaret (nee Bjerke) - At West Park Health Centre on Monday, March 17th, 2008 in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband George (1993). Loving mother of George C. and Karen E. both of Thorold. Also predeceased by one brother and five sisters. Lily was a Veteran of WWII, serving with the Airforce. She was a long time member of Trinity United Church Choir and in the past was a very active square dancer, and enjoyed to knit and sew. The family will receive friends at the HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 pm and Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, March 19th at 2:00 pm. Interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Willard Lawrence George Joyal , 1934 - March 16, 2008 It is with sad and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Will on his journey to the Spirit World. Elle laisse dans le deuil une fille, Diane (Guy Doiron) de Tétagouche Nord; deux fils: Paul (Kathy Burke) d'Ottawa et Ronald (Yvette Collin) de Saint-Léolin; quatre petits-enfants: Line et Edgar Doiron, Janelle et Kim Downing; sept soeurs: Anne-Marie (Roland Gilbert), Jeanne (Raoul Losier), Stella (Paul Losier), Edith (feu Théo Duguay), Marcella (Gilles Poirier), Thérèse (Richard St-Amand) et Yvette (feu Fernand Morais); quatre frères: Gérard (Pauline Lanteigne), Antonio (Jeanne Beaulieu), Euclide (Louise Brassard) et Yvon (France Chrétien), ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-soeurs, neveux et nièces. Trois frères: Pierre, Jean et Alcide, l'ont précédée dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle de Mme Downing sera exposée à compter de 19h, le mercredi 19 mars, au salon LeGresley de Grande-Anse. Née à Saint-Paul, elle était fille de Bertrand Maillet et de Lorraine (Melanson) Maillet. Outre son époux et ses parents, elle laisse dans le deuil une fille, Chantal Babineau; un fils, Sébastien; trois soeurs: Dianne Petitpas (Eugène), Lillianne Cormier et Fernande (Fernand) Saulnier; trois frères: Donald (Ginette), Alderice (Clara) et Victor (Cecile), ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Mme Babineau travaillait au Havre communautaire. Elle aimait beaucoup les fleurs et le jardinage. Les visites se feront à la Maison mémoriale Thompson de Saint-Louis-de-Kent. BOUCKHOUT, Leo William August 7, 1946 - March 16, 2008 It is with extreme sorrow that we are announcing the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. It is difficult to summarize a life in just a few sentences. Leo believed that there had to be one more miracle out there that he could claim and we marveled at how he fought the cancer with dignity and determination but was totally at peace with God's will. Leo was born in Leamington, Ontario to Arthur and Anna Bouckhout, their only child. Leo completed his first degree in Biology at the University of Windsor; Masters degree in Environmental Science from the University of Calgary; Executive Development from Banff School of Management. Leo started his career at Lombard North, an environmental consulting firm in Calgary. That is where he met Nadine and they married in June, 1974. Leo's environmental career continued at Foothills Pipe Lines, Husky Oil, Canadian Petroleum Association, and E2 Environmental Alliance. In 2002 he joined Matrix Solutions where he was Vice President - International Division until his passing. Since 1992 Leo completed more than fifty consulting and training assignments worldwide for industrial clients, foreign governments and international financial institutions. His work took him to more than twenty countries on five continents. They have two wonderful children, Nicole born in 1977 and David in 1980. Nicole has his love for chocolates, shopping and his attention to detail; David has his skills of good financial management and his passion for cars. There are so many things that we will miss about Leo; his laugh, his positive attitude on life reminding us that "we have to play the hand that God dealt", and his unconditional love for his family. Leo will be joining his Mom and Dad in eternity with the precious Lord Jesus. He will be remembered by his wife Nadine; daughter Nicole and her husband Colin Schieman and granddaughter Ruby Schieman; son David. He will also be remembered by family in Saskatoon - mother-in-law Pauline Bodnar, Walter Bodnar and family, Ernie and Bernice Bodnar, and Darlene Bodnar. All of Leo's extended family reside in Belgium and Holland. There are so many people to thank for their support and encouragement; the Foothills Medical Centre (Unit 61), Kevin Huntley, Dr. J. Simon; friends who have touched our hearts forever with the kindness they showed to Leo and to our family; the "care group" from First Alliance Church; and to Pastor Ray Matheson for his prayers and many visits. LEGAULT, Roger - The family announces with sorrow his death on Monday March 10, 2008 at the age of 60. Loving step-father of Lionel Tapp (Colleen Cook) and Denise David. Dear grandfather of Natasha Tapp (Daniel Bernard), Pascal Tapp (Dustin Crites), Andrea Tapp, Marie-Claude David, Martin David and Yves David Jr. Dear brother of Renée Legault, Carole Legault, Claude Legault and Gilbert Legault. Predeceased by his wife Therese Auger-Legault, his parents Robert and Cecile Legault, his brother Bernard Legault and his step-son Yves Legault. Survived by his good friends Yvette Dolbec, Dan Dolbec (Claudette) and his children Zachary and Natasha, Denise Duchesne, Claire and Ronnie Babcock. Roger was a surface driller with Bradley Bros for 43 years. He was a hardworker, but on his days off, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a generous, kind, loving and an understanding person. He was always willing to help others. Roger was an amazing step-dad, grandfather, friend and co-worker. He will be greatly missed by everyone. He will be in our hearts for always and ever. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place. FARNSWORTH, DORIS MARGARET Doris Margaret Farnsworth passed away at York Manor Nursing Home on March 15, 2008. Doris was born in Chesterfield, England on April 6, 1914 to parents Thomas and Maryanne Locker. She married William Farnsworth and emigrated to Canada in 1946. They settled in the area of Kingston, Ontario where they lived until moving to New Brunswick in 1965. Predeceased by husband William and sisters Frances, Lillian, and Mavis. Survived by son David (Giselle) of Kingston, Ontario; daughter Elissa (Richard Thibault) of Montreal and Mark (Saveta) of Fredericton; grandchildren Jean, Daniel, Paul, Philippe, Karen, David, Mikaela; and great grandson Samuel. Doris was always known for her kindness, adventurous spirit and vivid imagination. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses who eagerly shared Bible truth with others at every opportunity. Upon her graduation, she began her career at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and, in 1983, started a new career at IBM Canada where she worked for the following 24 years. She will be remembered by those close to her as a loving and caring woman, with boundless strength and an unbreakable spirit. KOHAJDA, Victoria “Vicki” Gizzella (Szilvasi) - passed away on Sunday March 16, 2008 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham campus with her daughters by her side. Vicki was born in Saskatchewan 76 years ago and was predeceased by her husband George Kohajda, 1992. Surviving are her three daughters Kathy Kohajda & Gary Swance of Huntsville, Nancy Kohajda of Chatham and Karolyn Kohajda of London. She is also survived by her sisters Elsie of Blenheim, Dorothy of London and Irene of London. She is predeceased by her sister Betty and by brothers George and Bill. Vicki was passionate about growing fruits and vegetables. Together, she and her husband George owned and operated Pine Crest Farms on Talbot Trail for over 50 years. Beloved son of David and Barbara Small both predeceased. Loving brother of Agnes Forsythe predeceased 1984 and Mac Forsythe predeceased 1988. David worked at INCO for 45 years, retiring in 1978. He served overseas during World War II with the Royal Canadian Air Force and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. David was a fiercely independent man who maintained his independence his entire life. He was truly a father figure to his nieces and a grandfather figure to his great-nieces and nephews. KLEVEN, Margery - Peacefully at Eastholme, Powassan, on Sunday March 16th, 2008, at the age of 83 years. Margery (nee Simms) was the beloved wife of the late Agnar Kleven. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her brothers Eddy and Boyd (Dorothy) and her sister Doris-Rae Brownlee (Bill) all of North Bay. She will also be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews Carla, Karen, Nancy, Brian, Bonnie-Rae and Tammy. Born in New Liskeard Margery was the daughter of the late Albert Edward and Winnifred Eunice Simms. A long time employee of the ONR, Margery joined the railway in the early 1940's. She was one of the last telegraph operators for the railway, trained in both morse code and teletype. He career took her to Cochrane, Kirkland Lake and Timmins where she retired after 40 years of service. A dedicated member of the United Church and the Rebekah Lodges in both Timmins and North Bay.
