Dorina Roy Mise à jour le samedi 29 décembre 2007 POINTE-VERTE - À l'Hôpital régional Chaleur de Bathurst, le vendredi 28 décembre 2007, à l'âge de 99 ans, est décédée Dorina Roy, épouse de feu Amedée Roy. Elle était fille de feu Sylvain Fontaine et de feu Marie-Odile LeBlanc. Elle laisse dans le deuil cinq enfants: Jacqueline (Fernand Savoie) de L'Ascension, Qc, Michel (Manon Theoret) de Plantagenet, Ont., Armand (Aurella Doucet) de Petit-Rocher, Monique de Pointe-Verte et Marie-Reine de Montréal; un frère, Ovila Fontaine (Gwelda) de Port Hope, Ont., ainsi que dix petits-enfants et huit arrière-petits-enfants. Cinq frères, quatre soeurs, ainsi qu'une fille, Sr Imelda, rhsj, l'ont précédée dans la tombe. Dorina a été une pionnière dans le domaine de l'éducation au N.-B. Elle a enseigné 35 ans dans les écoles publiques, dont 30 ans à Pointe-Verte. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 9h30, le lundi 31 décembre, à la Chapelle funéraire Verret de Nigadoo (546-4120). THORNLEY, Dorothy - In her 86th year, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2007 at L.H.S.C. University Campus, London. Beloved wife, soul mate, travelling companion and dancing partner, squares and rounds for over 65 years of married life with her husband Stanley. Born in Chichester, Sussex, England in 1922 she served her country during WWII in the Women's Land Army, and 4 years as an inspector in the Metrology Department of the De Havilland Aircraft Company at Lostock, Bolton Lancashire. She emigrated to Canada in 1948 and resided in Brantford for 53 years, being a member and regular attendee of St. Luke's, St. James and St. Mark's Anglican Churches and serving in many capacities. Residing in London since 2001 she has been a member of St. Martin in the Fields Anglican Church. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her husband Stan, sons Stewart (Nancy), Jan (Mary Anne), Christopher and partner Michael, who were all deeply loved by Dorothy and who held her dearly in their hearts with true admiration and affection. She was very proud of her grandchildren, Shelby, Reid (Laurie), Matthew, Harris (April) and great- grandchildren Brandon, Luke, Jack and Faye. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families in England and Canada. As per Dorothy's wishes, her cremation and committal service will be under the direction of the Rev. Canon Sid Smithson of St. Martin in the Fields Anglican Church at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. Henry LeBlanc 1926 - 2007 Surrounded by his loving family, Henry LeBlanc, 81, of Highfield Street Moncton, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday December 27, 2007. Born in Dieppe, August 6th 1926, Henry was the son of the late Leo and Julia LeBlanc. Henry had been a stockbroker with Dominion Securities for many years prior to his retirement and was member of St Bernard's Church where he was very active in church activities. He is survived by Genny (Quann) LeBlanc of Moncton; his daughters, Bernadette (David) Donelle, of Moncton, Elaine (Mark) Lennehan of Riverview; his sons, George (Kathy) of Moncton and Michael (Gail) of Trenton, ON. DOLEMAN, Margaret Elizabeth The world today has lost a true lady. Our much loved Wife, Mother, and Nana has succumbed to complications resulting from a fall. She fought her very best to stay with us, however God needed another Angel, and he is getting the very best. Margaret was very proud of being a native Calgarian, and her family was always the most important thing to her. We love you dearly and your presence will be deeply missed, but we need look no further than the red breast of a robin, the daily sunrise, the sparkling diamonds of a fresh snowfall, the gleaming radiance of a full moon, the bright eyes of a kitten, or the laughter of children to know she is always surrounding and protecting us with her love. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of sixty-six years, Cyril; daughter Sandra (Jake), son Terry (Brenda); four loving grandchildren: Sylvia (Ian), Kimberlee (Ronnie), Jason, Aaron (Courtney) as well as family in B.C. and England. Claude Chiasson Mise à jour le samedi 29 décembre 2007 MISCOU - À sa résidence, le mercredi 26 décembre 2007, à l'âge 46 ans, est décédé Claude Chiasson, domicilié à Miscou. Né le 19 avril 1961, il était fils de feu Gilbert Chiasson et Thérèse Ward. Outre sa mère, il laisse dans le deuil cinq soeurs: Simonne (Maurice) de Miscou, Jeannette de Pointe-Alexandre, Claudette (Daniel) de Lamèque, Nicole (Jean-Maurice) de Saumarez et Hélène (Danny) de Miscou qui s'occupait de lui; trois frères: Maurice (Edith) de Lamèque, Brian (Pierrette) de Cap-Bateau et Wilbert (Thelma) de Sainte-Marie-Saint-Raphaël; un filleul, Jonathan Chiasson, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Deux frères: Jean-Paul et Wilbert, l'ont précédé dans la tombe. La famille recevra parents et amis à compter de 14h, le dimanche 30 décembre, à la salle mortuaire de Miscou. Les funérailles seront célébrées en l'église Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue de Miscou, le lundi 31 décembre, à 11h. Lillian I. Dickson 1917-2007 MIRAMICHI - Lillian Isabel Constance Dickson, widow of the late Burton O. Dickson, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of Newcastle and Napan, passed away at her residence, on Friday, December 28, 2007, at the age of 90. Born in Lower Napan, on May 16, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Alexander J. and Lillian I.M. (Cornish) Campbell. She was a homemaker and a dedicated member of St. James & St. Johns United Church, Miramichi as well as a former member of Carmel United Church, Napan; a former member of the choir; a former Sunday School as well as Explorers Teacher; a member of the Good Times Fellowship Group; a life member of the U.C.W. (unit 6) of her church; a former member of the Napan W.I.; a former Volunteer with the Miramichi Hospital Ladies Auxillary. She is survived by one daughter, Noreen Mills (Robert), of Miramichi; one son, Greg B. Dickson (Janice), of Miramichi; four grandchildren, R. Jerome, Jocelyne, Shawn, Lesley; seven great grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda, Christopher, Lydia, Amelia, Samson, Isaac; two sisters in law, Mildred Campbell and Veronica Campbell. She was predeceased by her husband, Burton, in 1985; four sisters, Christella Dickson, Marguerite Godfrey, Marion Lobban, Bernice Lamkey; two brothers, Howard and Norman Campbell. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Saturday evening, from 7-9 pm and Sunday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. James & St. Johns United Church, Miramichi, on Monday, December 31, 2007, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Ron Feltmate. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi, later in the spring. COCKRAM, Edward Richard - Passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, December 25, 2007, at Brantford General Hospital, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Brenda for 50 years; loving father of Steven (Rennie) Cockram, Gary (Patti) Cockram, Lyndsey Mulligan (fiancé Danny), cherished granddad of Meagan, Rhian, Tyler, Samantha, Sarah, Corey, Natalie, and Jordan. Eddie will be dearly missed by his brothers: Fred, John and David and his sisters Jane and Rose in England. Predeceased by his parents, Jim and Mary, and his sister, Heather. During his life in England he was an avid rugby, table tennis and football player. He was a driving instructor as well as achieving his tool and die apprenticeship. Eddie emigrated from England to Kitchener, Ontario in 1974 and began working as a tool and die maker for Budd Canada, where he progressed to Tool and Die Supervisor and General Foreman. He stayed until his retirement in 1996. During his life in Canada, Eddie pursued many interests. He was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus Dart League, organized numerous social events including the Tool-maker and Machinist golf tournament, as well as a yearly event supporting his wife's passion for Muscular Dystrophy. STEWART, C. Harry - A resident of Rondeau Park and formerly of Blenheim, Harry Stewart passed away at the Blenheim Community Village on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the age of 79. Born in Detroit, son of the late Sid and Elizabeth (Stephenson) Stewart. Beloved spouse of Molly Meloche. Harry will be fondly remembered by Molly's children, Kelly, Shawn, and Penna Meloche, all of Dearborn. Dear brother of Jack and Lucy Stewart of Nevada, Bill and Pat Stewart of London, Ann Pickering of Chatham and the late Allan and Phyllis Stewart, and Wilfred and Pat Stewart. Also survived by his uncle Gordon and Sylvia Stephenson of St. Catharines, and his aunt Ann Thomas of Chatham. Harry will also be missed by Betty and Garnet Hebblethwaite and family of New Scotland, Dorothy Perrodou and family of Rondeau, Isabel and Doug Brown and family of Westland, and several nieces and nephews. Harry sailed aboard Shell Oil Tankers for over 35 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #185 Blenheim.
