PATERSON, Debra Lily-Anne 1956 - 2007 Debbie, beloved daughter of Lily and Bruce, passed away in Simi Valley, California, December 21, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 51. Besides her parents, she leaves to mourn her sister, Dawn, brother Tyrone (Joanne), niece Simone, nephews, Benjamin, Isaac, Rembrandt, and Adam, and her companion, Lawrence Bologna. Debbie was an accomplished pianist and music teacher in Los Angeles. Inurnment will take place at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens at a later date. OBITUARY BEATE WOLF (nee RIESENFELD). 1913 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Predeceased by first husband Willy Marcus and second husband Albert Wolf. Left to mourn this wonderful lady are her loving son Ernest, her caring granddaughters Susan (Frank), Rebecca (Shira), her sweet great-granddaughter Kealy, special niece Judy (Ken & children), devoted cousin Margot, close cousins Debbie (Adam) and Christopher, good friends Peter and Suzanne and Gil Trigo (thanks go to Gil and his late wife Ginette for their kindness to Beate); mourning also longtime friends the Auzas, the Nouissers, the Mischkes, the Doreys, the Sabellas, Ron Lovis & family, Paul Winter & family, Jeri Gagne & family, Erika Niemczewski, the Wursters, Karin Thibault, Irmela Schmidt and the countless others that befriended her during those important and precious ninety-four years. ZADOW, Rose (nee Kowalchuk) - formerly Awde, Rose Ann. Passed away peacefully at the Pines Residence, Bracebridge, Ontario on Monday December 24, 2007 in her 95th year. Pre-deceased by her husband Earl Awde and her loving daughter Dolores Mary Awde. Survived by her sister Olga Wasylciw of Wasaga Beach. Pre-deceased by Freddie Herbert Zadow, her loving husband of many happy years, her sisters Mary Mitanis, Nell Petryshin, and Annie Lockyerof and her brothers Dr. Paul Kowalchuk, John and Michael. Rose was well known in the hairdressing profession as owner of beauty salons and teacher of hair design for many years. Rose will be remembered by her many students, friends and family. In memory of her daughter Dolores a donation has been made by Rose to the Sick Children's Hospital. HUSTON, Jenny (Nesimiuk) - formerly of R.R.# 1 Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the Village Nursing Home, Ridgetown on Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the age of 77. Born in Beacon Corner, Alberta, daughter of the late William and Anna Nesimiuk. Beloved wife of the late Mervin Huston (April 2007). Jenny is survived by her three sons Larry (Pat) of Thamesville, Lenard (Shelley) of Harrow, Terry (Annette) of Thamesville, and grandchildren Carrie and James Wills, Mark, Scott, Ashley, Michael, Jason, and Jeffrey Huston. Dear sister to Nick Ness of Kelowna B.C., Bill Ness (Myrt) of Comox B.C., and Mary Harding of Oakville. Dear sister-in-law of Harry Huston of Port Lambton. Dear Aunt to many nieces and nephews. FLURY, Royal Preston (nee Park) 1917 - 2007 Royal Flury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane, Alberta, with her daughter at her side. Royal was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta in 1917 and later moved to Ardley, Alberta where her family farmed. In 1929 they moved to Calgary where she attended Crescent Heights High School. During the war years, Royal moved to Ottawa where she worked as a stenographer for the Federal Government. Returning to Calgary, she worked for a number of companies including CFAC and Crown Trust. In 1957 she married Salomon Flury whom she met on a blind date. Royal enjoyed reading, playing piano and baking; scones were her specialty. Later on, as her eyesight diminished, she really enjoyed CBC radio. Royal will be remembered for her kind heart and her dry wit. "Hot diggety wow". Royal is survived by her daughter Anne Hargreaves (Dave), two granddaughters, Holly and Stephanie, of Calgary and one sister-in-law Emma Caron of Lima, Peru, as well as numerous relations in the United Kingdom, Lima and Calgary. She was predeceased by her mother Hannah in 1963, her father Arthur in 1965, and her husband Salomon in 2005. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Bethany Care Centre Cochrane for their excellent care during the past several years. He was born in Windsor on September 29, 1939, but made his home in Chatham for many years, residing at the Kent Motel. Don didn't speak of family, and it is unknown who his natural relatives are, but he had many neighbours, friends, agencies and churches, who cared about him and for him through the years. Don had a gypsy spirit, and spent hours each day walking or hitch- hiking the roads of Southwestern Ontario. He touched many lives, and in his own humble, gentle, way, he appreciated the helping hand he was offered. Born in New York City in 1936 to Inez (Misener) and John Beverley Pierson. Bob attended Upper Canada College as a boarder for several years and attended the University of Western Ontario. Bob settled in Hamilton and began a career as a broker for E.A. Ames in Toronto. While his first love was for family, he had a passion for his work in the shipping industry. He joined his family's business Misener Transportation and in 1975 Bob started his own company, The Soo River Company. Until his passing, he worked enthusiastically for Lower Lakes Towing/Grand River Navigation. He dedicated himself annually to the Run for the Cure in Port Colborne. Bob had a heart of gold and a spirit which touched countless people. He was taken too soon, but will be remembered fondly by many; including his cousins Scott Misener, Paul and Dossie Misener, Heather Logan and other Misener family members. A memorial service will be held at Ridley College Chapel, St. Catharines at 11 a.m. Friday Dec. 28th with a reception to follow in the Great Hall. Kristopher "Kris" Gordon Irving 1982-2007 Kris Gordon Irving, 25, of Baltimore passed away suddenly due to an automobile accident on December 23, 2007 in Harvey Bank, Albert County, N.B. Kris was born in Moncton on February 24, 1982 the son of Joyce Irving. He worked at the Co-op Atlantic Warehouse. Kris loved the outdoors, spending a lot of his time hunting and ski-dooing. His truck and his dog, Sargent, were his main pride and joy. He also enjoyed times spent with his family and friends. Kris will always be remembered for his smile and good nature. His family and friends were very important to him and he really enjoyed all the times they spent together. He was a great guy who will be missed by all who got the chance to know him. She is survived by her loving children, John, Robert and Lorna and grandchildren Annie and Emily, who greatly miss their mother and grandmother. LANTHIER, Isobel June - Of Fort Erie passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife of Edward Lanthier. Dear mother of Robert (Jane) Lanthier of Brampton and Debbie Macnamara (John) of Waterdown. Grandmother of Shawn (Jen), Michael, Ryan, Heather (Dave Michel), John and Dave. Great grandmother of Cole. Also survived by sisters Jessie Acaster (Clive) of Fort Erie and Wilma Lang (Ed) of Ottawa and sister-in-law Donna Neil of Omaha, Nebraska. Predeceased by a sister Margaret Neil and a brother Fred Neil. The Lanthier Family will receive visitors at the FORT ERIE CHAPEL of the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOMES 21 Wintemute St. on Thursday, December 27th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church with Fr.
