Dear daughter of the late Sidney and Lillian Hyde, much loved sister of the late Laurence Hyde and younger brother Earl Hyde of Vancouver. Pauline will be sadly missed by all of her family, including nephews Tony and Christopher Hyde, niece Natalie Hyde and their children. Dearest cousin of the late Ian Lindsay, and "Auntie" Pauline to his daughter Lauren Lindsay Moore and the late Barry Moore of Orillia, Ontario and their children Adrienne and Nathan. She will also be fondly remembered by friends Irina Litvin and Theresa Scarpelli. Pauline was born in Twickenham, England, but came to Canada as a child, eventually settling in Montreal, where she worked as a dietician and a teacher, Pauline was a proud graduate of Sir George Williams University (now Concordia-B.A. Sociology 1969) who passed on her love of learning in general (and sociology in particular) to her daughter Penny. Mummy, the crossword puzzle won't be the same without you, and neither will anything else. Remember the fun we always had at Eaton's? HADDAD, Bechara Ibrahim. 1939-2006. Beirut, Lebanon. In the evening of March 13, 2006. Adored and loved husband of Antoinette, father of Danny (Jenny), Ramzy and Ziad and through kindness and caring was like a father for Shadi (Nadine). Survived by his brother Daoud and sisters Wadad and Souad. Predeceased by his brother Fouad. Dear friend to Michel Maria and family and Kau and family and many others around the world. To say that he is a great father, husband, brother and friend would be an absolute understatement. He gave of himself to those he loves like no other and wanted nothing in return but to see them happy. To the last days of his life he preferred to suffer alone than to burden those closest to him, with only his wife truly by his side every moment. He went from Lebanon to Qatar to Dubai to Canada, sometimes alone, to provide as best he can for his family and gave to them all that he could. Having found his soulmate his marriage was a model of what true love can be and anyone that saw him with his wife knew this to be true. He did so much for those he loves that the thought of having lost him so soon and suddenly is unbearable. We will always love you dad and you will always be in our hearts and minds, we can only wish that we may one day live up to the model of a beautiful person that you provided us. Born on Grand Manan, NB on August 7, 1913, he was a son of the late Leon Jason Green and Rosilla (Small) Green. He is survived, besides his wife, by one daughter, Greta (Allison) Pendleton of Lords Cove; two sons, Bryant (Donna) Green of Fairhaven and Garnet (Glenda) Green of Fairhaven; seven grandchildren, Debbie, Laurie, Deidre, Leigh, Derek, Brendan and Katrina; nine great-grandchildren, Clinton, Lindsey, Tony, Tiffany, Oliver, Emma, Jared, Ashley and Hayden; two sisters, Cora Young and Marguerite Alley, both of Lubec, Maine; one brother, Joseph Howell of Ellsworth, Maine; one foster brother, Otis Green; three foster sisters, Mona Ross, Rowena Small and Glenita Hattrick; several nieces, nephews and cousins. COOPER Lorraine R.M. 1931 - 2006 Lorraine R.M. Cooper began her last journey on Sunday, March 26, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lorraine is lovingly remembered by her brother, Dr. Leonard Cooper of Guelph, ON, and by numerous relatives in the Edmonton area. She was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Alex Cooper of Calgary. Her first love in life was flying, obtaining both her private and commercial pilot's licenses before the age of nineteen. As one of the youngest women pilots in Canada, she formed the first Canadian Chapter of the Ninety-Niners, an international association of women pilots formed by Amelia Earhart. Due to her contribution to women in aviation she was honoured as a charter member of the Women's Western Air Museum in Regina. Lorraine's enthusiasm for adventure and travel inspired a career change and move to the United States, where she was Vice-President of Hawaii Visitor's Bureau - Pacific Tourism Marketing and Research. She then joined the management team of American Express new Space Bank system and later the Association of Artificial Intelligence. Lorraine returned to Canada to open her own consulting firm in Victoria - Cooper Marketing Meeting. In 1995 she returned home to be with her family in Calgary and became actively involved in volunteer work with the Forest Grove Care Centre, P.A.L.S., and the Calgary Zoo where she volunteered as an Education Docent, and Living Collections volunteer. A Celebration of Lorraine's Life will be held at a later date. BROWN GIRARD, Priscillia est décédée subitement, alors qu'elle jouissait pleinement de la vie, ce samedi 25 mars 2006. Née le 21 mars 1983, elle adorait la vie et le démontrait à tous les jours. Chaque journée avec ``Pris'' était remplie d'humour, d'amour et de joie de vivre. Elle n'hésitait jamais à dire ``je t'aime'' d'une façon vraiment sincère. Nous l'aimions tellement et elle aussi, nous disait toujours combien elle nous aimait. Tous les gens qui la connaissaient trouvaient qu'elle avait tellement un bon coeur. Nous avons eu la chance d'être aimés par ``Pris'' jour après jour. Les enfants ne devraient pas mourir avant leurs parents. C'est une mort tragique et nous ne serons jamais plus les mêmes. La vie est fragile et dans le cas de ``Pris'' beaucoup trop courte. Comme parents, nous essayons tous de donner à nos enfants ce que nous n'avons pas eu. Heureusement, nous avons eu la chance d'offrir à notre fille tout ce qu'elle voulait. Elle disait souvent qu'elle vivait un beau rêve: elle avait une merveilleuse famille et un travail qu'elle adorait. Il faut profiter de chaque moment avec nos enfants parce que ce sont eux qui donnent un sens à la vie. Elle était l'enfant chérie d'Alan et Johanne (Chatelain) Brown; fiancée de David Girard, petite-fille adorée de feu Elie Odore Chatelain, Jeanninie Simard Chatelain, Ronald Brown (feu Alma Labrosse); marraine de Nadia Chatelain, filleule de Patsy et Michel. Ron had a passion for gardening, enjoyed the outdoors and travelling.
