CYR, Loretta (nee Gallen) Passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006 comforted by the presence of her family at the age of 78 years. She was the loving wife of the late Roger Cyr, former president of the Hong Kong Veterans Association. Devoted mother of Reverend Terrence Cyr, Carole Kreye (Allen), Gary Cyr, Leisa Connelly (Paul) and Michele Fleming (Craig). She is survived by her dear sisters Amelia Marcoux (Quebec City) and Cynthia Chapman (Ipswich, MA); sisters-in-law Lorraine Lawlis, Pearl Leblanc, Charlotte Lepage, Gilberthe Bujold and Louise Cyr and brother-in-law Raynald Cyr. She will be greatly missed by her 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St., Ottawa on Thursday, March 23 from 10 am to 12:30 pm. ROBILLARD, J.G. Lawrence (Larry), DFM He was the first French Canadian to be decorated in WWII, Spitfire Pilot RCAF. Larry died suddenly at the age of 85 in Montreal Wednesday, March 8, 2006. Loving son of the late William and Catherine Robillard. Father of Brian, Diane, Elizabeth of England, Eric of Vancouver and Pierre of Montreal. He is also survived by his sister Elaine Gadzos (late Walter) and 2 sisters-in-law Helene (late Roger Robillard) and Joan (late Maurice Robillard). OBITUARY KATHALEEN H. KAHN Suddenly, after a short illness, on March 17, 2006 at the age of eighty-five. Beloved wife of Dr. David S. Kahn, loving mother of Jeffrey P. Kahn of Oakville, Ontario and Susan Kahn Morrison of Chicago, Illinois. Dear grandmother of Rachel and Patrick Kahn and Jack and Tommy Morrison, step-grandmother to Helen Rose Mutassem, and mother-in-law to Cathy Daneliak (Jeff) and Ken Morrison (Susan). Kathaleen will be greatly missed by all. Kathaleen was born in Hampton, New Jersey, in 1920. After high school, she received an R.N. and then served in the U.S. Navy as a nurse during World War II. Following the war, she earned a B.A. and M.A. from Boston University on the GI Bill. David and Kathaleen met in 1954, where they raised their family. Kathaleen was an active member of the American Women's Club of Montreal. In 1993, Kathaleen and David retired to Oakville to be closer to Jeff and his family. Through her unfailing energy and zeal, Doris touched the hearts of everyone she met in her life, no matter how briefly. Born into a coal miner's family, Doris long ago left her cherished Walsh village to travel the world. She lived on many continents, eventually making Canada her home. ZEEB Gerhard 1956 - 2006 Our beloved Gerhard Zeeb of Galahad, Alberta, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2006 at the age of 49 years. DIXON Bradley James 1960 - 2006 Bradley James (Brad) Dixon, beloved husband of Alison of Calgary, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006 at the age of 45 years. Bradley attended the University of Montana and graduated with a degree in geology. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying the cabin and the lake. He was also a great lover of his dogs and had a passion for anything Land Rover. Besides his loving wife, Bradley is survived by a daughter Cassie and a son Mitchell. He is also survived by his mother Kathleen (Kay); two sisters and a brother-in-law, Suzanne and Michael Rasmussen and their daughters, Cayley and Kenzie; and Sydney Dixon; as well as his mother-in-law Anne Beveridge; brother-in-law Ian; and nephews, Cody and Jeffrey. He was predeceased by his father Robert K. Dixon. DODDS Audrey Kathleen 1925 - 2006 Audrey Kathleen Dodds (nee Richards) of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2006 at the age of 80 years. Audrey was born September 26, 1925 in Portsmouth, England and came to Canada as a war bride. She enjoyed her life in Canada, raising her family and returned to England often to see her family. Audrey fulfilled her life, catering with the Calgary Stampede Board for over twenty-five years. Audrey will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children, David Dodds, Kenneth Dodds, Mary Dodds and Alan (Julie) Dodds, all of Calgary; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, as well as her brother Ian Richards of England. REID Gertrude (Gertruda Irena Nasarzewska) 1924 - 2006 Gertrude Reid passed away peacefully on March 19, 2006 at the age of 81 years. She was born in Grudziadz, Poland in 1924 where she lived with her parents, five brothers and sister who have all predeceased her. Near the end of the war she moved to England where she lived with her husband Tom Robinson. The family moved to Calgary in 1957. She was predeceased by her husband Tom in 1964. In 1972 Trudy married Nathaniel Patrick Reid. She was predeceased by her husband Nat in 1998. Gertrude was a beautiful, courageous and loving lady. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Denise Oleynick (Ray) of Calgary; grandchildren, Scott Day of Langley, Lana Atallah (Tony) of Edmonton, Paul Oleynick (Sherri) of Edmonton; great-granddaughter Maggie of Edmonton; sister-in-law Anne Laing of Calgary; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Canada, Germany, Poland and England. For many years Gertrude worked in Calgary as a manager in ladies clothing. Later she enjoyed traveling with her husband Nat and occasionally working as an interpreter in the law courts.
