LEROUX (Mme Hélène Lavoie) Le 30 novembre 2005, est décédée à l’Hôtel-Dieu d’Alma, à l’âge de 54 ans, Mme Hélène Lavoie, époux de M. Michel Leroux, demeurant au 2564 des Gélinottes, Jonquière. La famille accueillait les parents et ami(e)s à la Résidence Funéraire du Saguenay 2555, St-Dominique Jonquière Les funérailles ont eu lieu le samedi 3 décembre 2005 à 10 h à l’église St-Dominique. Les cendres ont été déposées au columbarium St-Dominique. Outre son époux M. Michel Leroux, elle laisse dans le deuil sa mère: Mme Annette Tremblay (feu Antonio Lavoie); ses enfants: Cynthia Leroux (Patrick Bernier), Jean-Sébastien (Nathalie Turcotte). Elle était l’heureuse grand-maman de ses trois petits amours: Vincent, Juliette, Alexandrine et d’un quatrième petit coeur à venir. Elle laisse également dans le deuil sa belle-mère: Mme Rita Chayer (feu Adrien Leroux); ses beaux-frères et belles-soeurs: Yvan Leroux (Francine Leclerc), Monique, Rémi, Réginald (Violette Payne), Guy, André (Sonia Jean), Line (Marc Tremblay), ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces, cousins, cousines, parents et amis, en particulier ses très bons amis Hélène Tremblay et Rodrigue Desbiens, ainsi que leurs enfants. Les membres de la famille tiennent personnellement à remercier tout le personnel de l’Hôtel-Dieu d’Alma, ayant oeuvré chaleureusement auprès d’Hélène pour les bons soins ainsi que le soutien offert. BENNINGTON — Louis J. Bellemare, 80, died Dec. 2, 2005, at Fairwinds Residential Care Home, North Bennington, following a long illness.Born in Bennington, Aug. 8, 1925, he was the son of Paul T. and Clairina (Boutin) Bellemare Sr.He was a graduate of the former Bennington High School class of 1944.Mr. Bellemare was a U.S. Army Korean conflict veteran.In earlier years, he was employed for General Electric in Schenectady, N.Y., in the instruction book division. Later he was hired by the MaQua Co., a printing firm owned by General Electric, and he opened a branch office for MaQua in Syracuse, N.Y. In 1949, he began working for his father in Bennington in the family business.Mr. Bellemare was a past exalted ruler of Bennington Elks Lodge 567 and a past president of the Bennington Rotary Club. He was chairman of the Bennington Bicentennial Committee and was on the board of the Bennington Museum and in charge of the museum travel committee.Survivors include a brother, Bernard Bellemare of Bennington; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Bellemare Jr.Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.The funeral will begin with a prayer at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the funeral home followed by the Mass at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in North Bennington.Burial will take place in Park Lawn Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Vermont Lung Association or one's favorite charity, through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St., Bennington, VT 05201.

CANTERBURY -- Constance G. Morin, 81, formerly of Concord, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at Canterbury Hall in Canterbury. Born in Woodstock, she was the daughter of Arthur and Arline (Thurston) Gray. She worked as an assembler for Sprague Electric for many years. Constance was a special lady who was known for her caring spirit. She was loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She often provided a home for foster children and shelter for friends and family when needed. Her grandchildren called her Cookie Grammie and her chocolate chip cookies provided a touch of home to soldiers during three wars as well as for family and friends around the globe. She was the best mom and mother-in-law in the whole world. Survivors include her son, David A. Morin of Bedford; a daughter, Sandra L. Hoffmeister of She was predeceased by her husband, Winston Sprague, who died in 2003; and her first husband, Joseph Morin, who died in 1976. Calling hours will not be held. Marguerite d'Youville Pavilion.He was born in Fort Kent on July 20, 1922, the son of Joseph and Annie Lavoie Morin. He attended Fort Kent schools.Daniel married Madeline Lagasse on Aug. 16, 1943. She predeceased him on May 16, 1980.He spent his working career as a woodsman prior to his retirement.Daniel was an avid sports fan and in particular followed the Boston Red Sox. He also was an avid reader. CHICOPEE - Alice L. (Roy) Mielnikowski, 79, of Chicopee, was peacefully called to her eternal rest on Saturday, December 3, 2005, lovingly surrounded by her children and family. Born August 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Damas Roy and Angelina Zebrowski, she was a lifelong Chicopee resident. Alice was a graduate of Chicopee High School. She was co-owner and operator of the Supreme Diner of West Springfield for many years. Previously she worked for the Buxton Co. of Agawam. After retirement from the restaurant business she finished off her career at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr. Alice loved cooking, gardening and being with her family. She was predeceased by her lifelong loving soul mate of 56 years, Frederick A. Mielnikowski, on January 24, 2003. Alice leaves 3 children. Yvonne Carolo 96, formerly of 84 Salisbury St. Woonsocket died Saturday in Woonsocket Health Center. She was the wife of the late John Carolo. Mrs. Carolo was born in Hebronville, MA a daughter of the late Augustin and Rose (LaRose) Guilbeault. Mrs Carolo was a spinner for the former Alsace Worsted Co. and several other area mills for many years, she was the owner and operator of the former John’s Variety on N. Main St. in Woonsocket for ten years before retiring. Mrs. Carolo is survived by a daughter Greta Manseau of Woonsocket, a sister Beatrice Miller of Woonsocket, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Wilfred Godbout Jr., 75, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, in Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. He was born July 5, 1930 in Carlton to Wilfred and Martha Godbout. Wilfred was in the Army and served his country during the Korean War. He married Laverna Fall on July 26, 1955. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a green thumb and for a time had his own business named 'Julie's Greenhouse.' Wilfred was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred Sr and Martha Godbout. A brother John Godbout and a sister Lucille Sweet. He is survived by his wife, Laverna; a son Mike; and three daughters, Julie (Charles) Hobbs, Nancy (Harold) Jobe and Carol (David) Jobe. He is also survived by several grandchildren Ross Swenson, Sherry Swenson, Jerry Davis, Aaron Davis, Anthony Jobe, Nicholas Jobe, Nathan Jobe, Melissa Jobe, Haley Godbout, Morgan Godbout and Luke Jobe; three great-grandchildren Kyle Swenson, Katrina Mortensen and Jessie Mortensen; two brothers, Russell (Darlene) Godbout and Kenneth (Mary) Godbout and several nieces and nephews and many friends. Our dad will be remembered for feeding the squirrels, his generosity, his sense of humor and his wonderful ways. We will miss him. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at a later date. EASTICK, William R. "Bill" In loving memory of William R. "Bill" Eastick. "Bill gets up one last time from his dockside chair heading up the path to the cottage. He turns and looks over his shoulder to the setting sun that he loved so much on the shores of Big Lake." At 71 years, Bill passed away peacefully in the company of his family, on Sunday December 4th, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Born June 17th, 1934 to Roy and Lilian (Salo) Eastick (both predeceased). Survived by his wife and best friend, Barbara (Cardy) Eastick of Sudbury, his sons Robert (wife Bernie) of Calgary and Douglas (wife Lorie) of Sudbury, and stepchildren Debra Buttazoni and Dave Battaino of Sudbury and Louis Battaino of Kincardine. Cherished grandfather of Shannon, Erin, Jeff, Brenna, Christofer, Mirco, Adam, Jasmine, Tyler, David, Brett, Louis and Daniel. Will be missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins. Bill owned and operated Sudbury Photo Service which he took over from his father. He also worked for Confederation Life Insurance and Talbot Marketing which led to starting his own marketing business, Adnor Sales. He lived to spend his Friday nights on the deck at Big Lake surrounded by his family and friends. Perhaps Bill's friends at his afternoon socials can raise their glasses one last time. Alida Bourgoin 1925 - 2005 Alida Bourgoin, 80, of Dieppe, passed away on Saturday, December 3rd, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born in St.-Anselme, NB, she was the daughter of the late Raphael and the late Alvina (née: Gauvin) LeBlanc. She was a parishioner of Ste.-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Bourgoin is survived by her husband, John Bourgoin; six children, Donald (Simone) of Moncton, Helene (James) Simmons of Riverview, Victor (Janice) of Dieppe, Roger of Dieppe, Bernice (Jeffrey) Beed of Moncton and Edgar of Moncton; one brother, Adrien (Jeanne) LeBlanc of Moncton; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Grace Eliza Cail 1921 - 2005 BASS RIVER, NB - Grace Eliza Cail, 84, wife of Jonathan L. Cail, of Bass River, NB, passed away at the Lions Nursing Home, Rexton, Saturday, December 3, 2005. Born in Bass River, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Roberts and Margaret Ann (Roberts) Roberts. Besides her husband, Jonathan, she is survived by her daughter, Elsie Dargavel (George), Nigadoo; her son, Jonathan Thompson (Shirley), Bass River; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by five sisters, Amanda, Hazel, Abigale, Janie, Elizabeth; and three brothers, Wayman, Leslie and Thomas. Raymond Eugene Wetmore 1904 - 2005 The death of Raymond Eugene Wetmore, 101 years, husband of the late Katherine Wetmore, occurred at Royal Court, Riverview on Sunday, December 4th, 2005. Born in New Haven, Connecticut on August 4, 1904, he was the son of the late Jesse E. and Antoinette (Moses) Wetmore. Raymond attended the Yarmouth Academy and graduated from Acadia University in 1926; he received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Nova Scotia Technical College in 1928; he was retired as a Lubrication Engineer from Texaco Canada Inc. He was a life member of the Association of Professional Engineers of NB, a 60 year member of Hiram Lodge #12 AF&AM of Yarmouth; a past member of the Moncton Golf and Country Club; a Past Member of the Moncton Curlers Association; he was a member of Wesley Memorial United Church, Moncton. The last surviving member of his immediate family, Raymond is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine (Dayson) Wetmore in 1980 and his parents. In keeping with Mr. Wetmore's requests there will not be any visiting or funeral service in Moncton.
