Grace Ellen Ronnander (née Black) January 17, 1924 - November 11, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Grace was born January 17, 1924; the eldest daughter and second of six children born to David and Alma Black. Grace was predeceased by husband Andy, siblings Wilf, Lillian and Jim. She leaves to cherish her memory sisters Anne (Herb) Douglas, Jean (Ken) Christie; in-laws Margaret Black and Paul Raike and many nieces, nephews and friends. Especially close were nieces Bev (Don) Potter and family, Calla (Greg) Lofvendahl and Marg Ronnander-Hewitt and family. Her childhood was spent on a farm near Oakburn, Manitoba. Grace attended school in Oakburn and completed her grade 12 with a scholarship. The family moved to Winnipeg. After attending Business College in Winnipeg, she worked for Monarch Life Assurance Co. and Moore Business Forms. Her passion for music blossomed in those years. She and her sisters were involved in many church and community choirs, Music Festivals and other choral competitions. Grace married Andrew Ronnander in 1955 and lived in Charleswood for many happy years. She and Andy were devoted to each other. They enjoyed many holidays in Mexico and southern USA. In later years, they divided their time between homes in Palacious Texas and Clearwater Bay Ontario. They later returned to reside in Westwood . Grace was an avid reader, gardener, golfer and seamstress. Her skills in needlepoint, cross-stitch, crewel and sewing are treasured by recipient relatives. Beside her passion for music, Grace loved crosswords and history. She spent years tracing the family tree. The family wishes to thank the many health care professionals on Misericordia Cornish 6 for their kindness and loving care. A family internment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A service to celebrate the life of Grace will take place at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. HUDSON, N.H. -- Ethel A. Rondeau, 78, formerly of Dracut and Pelham, died Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 9, at her Hudson home. She was the wife of 54 years to Joseph H. Rondeau, who died Nov. 19, 2001.She was born in Lowell, Sept. 8, 1927, daughter of the late Astrioppe and Mary (Sheaback) Robinson. She was raised and educated in Dracut, and graduated from Dracut High School.She married her husband on April 11, 1947.Mrs. Rondeau resided in Hudson for the past 20 years. George E. Brousseau, 56, of Coventry, died Friday (November 11, 2005) at the Windham Hospital. He was born December 21, 1948 in Willimantic, the son of Anna Vera (Feltenberger) Brousseau of South Windham and the late Arthur Brousseau. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era and for many years was a coach for the Coventry Youth Football Association. George loved listening to and collecting music. In addition to his mother he is survived by two stepsons, Alan and Brian Jones of Motoaca, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Judy Brousseau of Coventry; a niece Kimberly Labella and her husband Vincent of Coventry and a great nephew, Jacob Labella. SOMERSET -- Lucille Z. (Cyr) Gamache, 86, formerly of Riverview Towers and the Landmark, Fall River, and formerly of Swansea and Dartmouth, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at Somerset Ridge Center. She was the widow of Armand H. Gamache and the companion of the late Reginald C. Marchand. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Lamoureux) Cyr. Mrs. Gamache was a parishioner of St. Anne's Church, Fall River. She was a teacher's assistant in Fall River until she retired in 1980. Survivors include two daughters, Anne M. (Gamache) Keating of Fall River and Madeleine L. Gamache of Shoreham, N.Y.; a sister, Alice Theroux of Fall River; a brother, Adrien Cyr of Thomaston, Conn.; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Gamache of New Bedford; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway, Fall River, with a Mass at 10 at St. Anne's Church, South Main Street, Fall River. Nancy had a full life which included her family, career and retirement. She graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1946 with a BSN. She had her children and pursued her education. She became a H.S. science teacher and taught at Presentation High School in San Jose, CA for 28 years. As a registered nurse, H.S. teacher and as a person, she touched many lives. Nancy married Edmund Huser in 1991 and they moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1992. Nancy was a loving, kind and generous woman whom we will all miss very, very much! Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Edmund Huser, Tucson, AZ; her children, Bruce Landry, Louisville, CO; Mary Longaker, San Jose, CA; Frederic Landry, Alice Springs, Australia; Donald Landry, Pleasanton, CA; Geoffrey Landry, Carson City, NV and Anne Landry, South Lake Tahoe, CA; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. BESSETTE, RAYMOND A. 'RAY', 84, formerly of Spring St., Pawtucket died Thursday at Steere House, Providence. Born in Pawtucket a son of the late Aldei L. and Laura (Boulais) Bessette, he was a lifelong resident of the city. He was a WW II Air Force Veteran. Prior to retiring in 1977 he had been employed as a carpenter with his brother Bertrand 'Bill' Bessette in the Pawtucket and Seekonk area for 30 years and later worked at Carlton Mfg. of Central Falls and Lincoln Controls of Pawtucket for a short period. Mr. Bessette was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Walcott St., Pawtucket, a life member of Le Foyer, a former member of the American Legion Post #0014 of Cumberland and the Lefebvre Post of Central Falls.He leaves several nieces and nephews, among whom include Annette and John Johnson, with whom he lived for 45 years, and several step nieces and nephews and was the longtime companion of Clarice Pare of Pawtucket. HOLYOKE – Judith "Judy" L. Chartier, 42, died Friday November 11th at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Holyoke February 24, 1963, attended local schools and was a lifetime Holyoke resident. She was a Registered Nurses Aide, and was employed at local hospitals and in private care. She is survived by her mother Eileen Bolduc, one brother Richard Bolduc, and one sister, Amy Fissel all of Florida. She will be sadly missed by her grandparents, Edward and Loretta Chartier of Holyoke, one niece and one nephew. She also leaves her very close friend, Franklin Lee of Springfield. PRESTON JOHN "CHIEF" BROUSSARD JR. of Houston, Texas died Thursday November 10, 2005 in Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital following a short illness. Preston, born in Abbeville, Louisiana, had lived in Port Arthur during his childhood years but had lived in Houston all of his adult life. Chief was preceded in death by his mother Alice Guidry Broussard. Surviving are his two sons, Preston John Broussard III and wife Melissa, and Chris Cedric Broussard wife Selina; father, Preston John Broussard Sr.; brother Jimmy Dale Broussard; grandsons, Christopher and Brandon Broussard; and special friend Sandy Rising. Preston had served in the U.S. Army and was retired from General Motors Acceptance Corporation. Waltham - Mr. Vincent J. Chaisson of Waltham died Friday November 11, 2004 at Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge. He was 80.Born in Boston, a son of the late Peter D. and Mary (LeBlanc) Chaisson he was an engineer for the Skating Club of Boston for over forty years until his retirement. Mr. Chaisson lived for many years in Watertown and has lived in Waltham for over twenty years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #555 in Brighton, and enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.He was the brother of the late Arthur Chaisson, Mary Alice Chaisson and Theresa Carpentino.He leaves his wife Catherine B. (Walsh) Chaisson, his children, Jacqueline M. Andrews, Edward V. Chaisson and his wife Fay, and Joanne M. LeBlanc and her husband Roger all of Waltham, Peter V. Chaisson and his wife Nancy of Litchfield, NH and Karen A. Scribner and her husband Doug of Sutton. NEW BEDFORD -- Doris (Ferland) Lavoie, 74, of South Second Street died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of Roger E. Lavoie. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rose (Garneau) Ferland. She lived there in her early years and resided in New Bedford more than 30 years. Mrs. Lavoie was a communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. James Church. She was a stitcher in the textile industry and most recently was a health aide; she retired in 1993. Survivors include two sons, Norman Lavoie and his wife, Claudia, of New Bedford, and Raymond Lavoie and his wife, Sherry, of East Wareham; a brother, Henry Ferland of East Wareham; a sister, Annette Lafleur of New Bedford; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Lionel in January of 1987. KILLINGSWORTH, CT - Gerald W. Trembley, 76, of Killingsworth, CT, formerly of South Hadley, died peacefully Friday, November 11, 2005, at Connecticut Hospice following a battle with cancer. Born in South Hadley on February 25, 1929, he was the son of the late Celestin and Aurore (Beaupre) Trembley. He lied in South Hadley until he moved to Connecticut three years ago, and also "wintered" in Barefoot Bay, Florida. He worked as a supervisor for the Hampden Paper Company of Holyoke until his retirement. He was a former member of St. Patrick's Church in South Hadley and a member of the Church's Mens' Club. He was predeceased by his first wife, Doris B. (Rivest) Trembley in 2000. He is survived by his second wife, Claire (Guinard) (Denette) Tembley, his children, Walter Trembley of Palm Bay, FL, Kathleen Martin of Easthampton, Susan Goldstein of South Hadley, his step children, Louise Luettgens and Michael Denette both of Rhode Island, Gary Denette of Virginia, and Thomas Denette of Connecticut. He is the grandfather of nine, the great-grandfather of seven, the step grandfather of five and the step great-grandfather of two. The funeral will be on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Ryder Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street South Hadley followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church at 10:00 a.m. and burial in St. Rose Cemetery both in South Hadley.
