JENKINSON-McCOY, Inez E. August 31, 1911 - November 12, 2005 Peacefully at Country View Lodge Pakenham, Ontario on Saturday, November 12, 2005, Inez McCoy (nee Switzer) passed away in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Wilson Jenkinson (1960) of Stittsville and Myles McCoy (1998) of Arnprior. Predeceased by her parents, William and Emmeline Jane Switzer, sisters Edna (Garland Bradley), Mary Jane Switzer and brother Clifford (Phyllis). Survived by sisters-in-law Phyllis (Clifford) Switzer, Marjorie (Bill) Jenkinson and Daisy (Sam) Jenkinson. Inez will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. DANIEL CLAUDE RIENDEAU Daniel Claude Riendeau, 27, of Jensen Beach, FL, died Tuesday, November 8, 2005. He was born in Woonsocket, RI, a former 18 year resident of Port St. Lucie, FL, moving to Jensen Beach a year ago. He was a plumber with Art Stover Plumbing for the past three years on the Treasure Coast. He enjoyed automobiles, motorcycles, paintball and video games. Melvin A. Mercil -- Of South Milwaukee, passed away Fri., Nov. 11, 2005 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Marie A. Mercil (nee Lessard). Sylvester William Bernard November 30, 1923 - November 11, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Quietly and with dignity, Sylvester passed away at the Grace Hospital, November 11, 2005. Dad leaves his loving wife, Mary, his soul mate and companion. They were to celebrate their 59th anniversary in January. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Brian (Hennie), Bob (Cindy), Gary (Cheryl) and Mary-Lou (Rob). He also leaves his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Korey (Cynthia and Hadyn), Sarah (Mike), Sean (Maizie), David (Jolene and Connor), Kristi (Chad and Levi), Cody, Luke, Tyler, Chelsea and Breanne. Dad leaves one surviving brother Wilfred (Mary). He also had many friends that he loved spending time with. Dad was born in Yoemens, Sask. on November 30, 1923. After marrying mom they moved many times. He enjoyed a long career with Westfair Foods. Dad and mom moved to Winnipeg where they quickly settled in and made many life-long friends. Dad loved his cottage at St. Laurent where he hosted many horseshoe tournaments that made memories of laughter for all of us. Dad was a man of many talents from building a home for Mary to the cottage we all love. When dad retired he spent hours restoring a 1928 Ford, a 1930 Dodge and a 1930 Ford Deluxe car for a legacy for his sons. Lately his talents had to be turned to smaller things such as paintings for all of us. Dad and mom loved to travel and had many vacations with their family. They joined the “Good Sam Club” and spent hours in their motor home. Even when his disease tried to stop him in his tracks, he kept living his life as he always did, no complaints, loving his family and with the greatest of dignity. A HEART OF GOLD A heart of gold stopped beating Working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Leaves and flowers may wither, The golden sun may set But the hearts that loved you dearly Are the ones that won’t forget. Barker, Juin DesRosiers of Simi Valley passed away November 5, 2005. Juin was born June 6, 1954 to her loving parents June and Alfonse DesRosiers in Philadelphia, PA. A well known and prominent attorney, Juin graduated Gonzaga University, California Lutheran University and was a member of the American BAR Association since 1984. The Southern California Institute of Law Professors voted her "Best Professor of the Year." However, her greatest accomplishment was her son Samuel. Percy attended Carencro Community School through the third grade, when he was required to drop out of school, due to the early death of his mother. The family of brothers and sisters had to work on the farm to provide a living for the family. He remained on the farm until his first job opportunity with "Old Mary Syrup Mill". Percy then married Horta Latiolais and they started their life together as sharecroppers for the A. C. Bechet Farms. After several years of farming, Percy was employed by the Warren Arceneaux Bakery of Carencro. He then moved on to work for Will J. Angelle and Theo Breaux and Sons sweet potato producers and shippers. He was also employed by the Southern Pacific Railroad. Percy had the opportunity to be employed by Prudhomme Oil Company in Lafayette and then the John D. Hebert Oil Company in Breaux Bridge, where he worked until his retirement.Survivors include one son, Paul J. Guilbeau and his wife, Donna Holdeman Guilbeau, of Carencro; four grandchildren, Sheri Ann G. Kelley, of Carencro, John Fidelis Guilbeau and his wife, Stacy, of Baton Rouge, Timothy Paul Guilbeau and his wife, Jennifer, of Carencro and Jennifer Nell Bourgeois, of Carencro. Percy is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, Lance Kelley, Seth Kelley, Cole Kelley, Rusty Guilbeau, David Guilbeau, Joshua Bourgeois, Jacob Bourgeois, Madison Bourgeois, Logan Guilbeau and Connor Guilbeau; and one sister, Una Kilchrist, of Carencro.He was preceded in death by his wife, Horta Latiolais Guilbeau; parents, Jile Guilbeau and the former Bridget Bacque, both natives of Carencro; one great-granddaughter, Morgan Elaine Kelley; two brothers, Charles Guilbeau and Allen Guilbeau; and three sisters, Martha Landry, Rena Broussard and Yvonne Credeur.A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.The family requests visiting hours be observed from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. today and will continue from 8 a.m. until service time on Monday.The Guilbeau family would like to acknowledge and extend heartfelt thanks to Percy's long time friend and caregiver, Elmire G. HIND, Gary William - Passed away days after a heart attack at the age of 69 years old at the St. Catharines General Hospital, Thursday, November 10, 2005, surrounded by the love of his family. Loving husband and best friend for over 48 years of Shirley Hind; dear father of Cheryl and son-in-law Wayne Briggs-Jude; Pa will be greatly missed by his granddaughter Ashley Briggs- Jude and her dog Gemini. Survived by his brother Robert and his wife Jean Hind, aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Margaret Hind and Pepper. Gary was retired member of IBEW Local 303 the Retired Seniors Club and was also a member of the St. Catharines Lacrosse Association playing Pro with Detroit Olympics. Houle, Mamie Lee, aAge 81, beloved Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother -- Mamie Lee Houle was born August 6, 1924 in North Carolina and died peacefully at home in Forest Lake on November 10th, 2005 of lung cancer. Mamie married Theodore Houle while he was in the marines in North Carolina. Mamie and Theodore grew strawberries and garden vegetables while farming and living south of Forest Lake. Besides taking care of four children, Mamie loved working in the fields and harvesting the produce they grew. She is preceded in death by husband, Theodore (married 62 years); son, Phillip and infant twins; mother, Neva Koonce Jones Pittman; sisters, Sudie Jane Dixon, Mattie Linley; and brothers, Clyde Jones and James F. Jones. Survived by children, Leon (Jennifer) Houle of Lino Lakes, Leo (Sheila) Houle of Stillwater, Laura (Danny) Scholl of Forest Lake; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and brother, Zack Jones in New Burn, N.C.
