BOUCHER, JOSEPH BERNARD HOWARD - The death of Mr. Joseph Bernard Howard Boucher, husband of the late Marjorie Louise (Lawton) Boucher of Loch Lomond Villa and formerly of Black River Road, occurred on May 13, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Henry and Frances (Roy) Boucher. Mr. Boucher had been a plumber with James E. Lawton Plumbing. He had served with the Infantry, Royal Canadian Regiment in Korea and received the Canadian Volunteer Service Korean Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Korean War Medal. He was also a member of the Jervis Bay R.C.L. Br. #53 and the Korean Veteran's Association. Mr. Boucher had a great love of hunting and fishing, and had a great sense of humour. He was always generous and kind to his children and grandchildren. He is survived by loving companion Stella, two sons; Richard (Paryse Morin) Boucher and Michael (Sharon) Boucher and one daughter; Dale (Tim) Wilkes all of Saint John, two brothers; Lawrence (Violet) Boucher and Maynard (Edna) Boucher, all of Bathurst, three sisters; Roberta Vienneau of Saint John, Alva Kelly of Campbellton, and Kitty (Reggie) Blanchard of British Columbia, five grandchildren; Shawn, Katrina, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Chris, two great-grandchildren; Adam and Max, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers Donald, Freeman, and Jarvis, and three sisters Doris, Irene, and Francetta. GREY, ELDON C. - Of Saint John NB. Passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday May 13th, 2005 at the age of 63 after a brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his sisters Shirley (Ray) and Delores (Pete), six brothers; Charles, David (Sue), Gerald (Florence), Terrance (Gail), Daniel (Kristin), and Murray (Jeanette), uncle Aubrey, aunt Claire, and Amanda Watson, a special friend that was known to her as grampie Eldon, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. HUDSON, RUSSELL B. - Passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday May 14th, 2005. He was the son of the late Chester Lemont and Florence Ruby (Steele) Hudson. Russell is survived by his wife Erina May (Nicole) Hudson, four sons, Russell Hudson Jr., Alexander Hudson, Harry Vautour Jr., and Sheldon Vautour, two daughters, Corrina Vautour, and Cynthia Vautour, two brothers, David, and Gary, a sister Joyce (Terry) De Wolf, six grandchildren, Misty, Erin, Brian Jr., Matthew, Benjamin, and Michael, one great grandson, Daniel and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Besides his parents Russell was predeceased by his stepfather Donald Veineau, a grandson Christopher Allan, and a daughter in law Jeanette Williams. McSORLEY, TERRANCE N.- "Into your hands I commend my Spirit O Lord" Luke 23:46 After a courageous battle with a terminal illness the passing of Terrance Norman McSorley of Saint John West, husband of Geraldine (Vienneau) McSorley, occurred peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2005, surrounded by his family, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Norman and Anne (McNulty) McSorley. Terrance began his career as the Service Manager at Purdy's for many years and then went on to manage Universal Sales and Auto Repair Center for several years and most recently moving onto Gilco Bearings, where he retired in 2004. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish, an active and longtime member of the Queen of Peace Prayer Group (1974- present), the Cursillo Movement and Marriage Encounter. Terry's passion was serving God through his family, friends and neighbours. They would say his gift was serving anyone in need. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Tony (Teresa) of Calgary, AB and Jeffrey (Diane) of Saint John, two daughters, Lorraine McSorley- Richard (Donald) of Saint John and Nancy London (Tony) of Hampton, five sisters, Dawn Savoie (Terry), Carole May (Jim), Linda Thomas (Bill), Brenda Morais and Cathy Doucet, all of Saint John, 11 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Rochelle, Marcus, Breanne, Erin, Lucas, Nicolas, Brittany, Jacob, Matthew and Emma, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Norma and Arlene. Born on February 2, 1947 at Timmins, Ontario, he was the son of the late George and Simone (Mayor) Smith. PATTINSON, Dorothy (Chisholm) nee Durham - June 15, 1912 - May 14, 2005 - Passed away at Lundy Manor after a brief illness. Loving daughter of Rose Stamm and George Durham. Predeceased by her sister Evelyn Kilkenny Effrick and brother George Durham. Dot married James Chisholm (passed away in 1970) in 1937 and they had five children; Adrienne Banbury (Larry) of Landsdowne, ON, Mary Lou Reiman (Barry) of Niagara Falls, Dr. Robert Chisholm (Ginny) of Toronto, Marnie Stunt (John) of Pembroke and Barb Sonier (the late Pierre, 1996) of London, ON. She leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who will miss her great love and interest in their lives. Dot married Jack Pattinson in 1979 and she is fondly remembered by her stepchildren; Sandy Reynolds of Bobcaygeon, ON, Tom Pattinson of Uxbridge, ON, Jake Pattinson of Burlington, and Betsy Pattinson of Toronto, Dot was a long time member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church and more recently Stamford United. She will be remembered as a dedicated Special Education Teacher in a number of Niagara Falls schools. Dot will be missed by many friends of all ages including the residents and staff of Lundy Manor to whom the family extends their sincere thanks for the loving care and concern. LYON, Mary Jane (nee Ritchie) Went peacefully to be with her Lord, on Saturday, May 14, 2005, in her 83rd year. Mary was predeceased by her parents Adam and Emma (Ferguson) Ritchie, and was the last of the four Ritchie girls. Gone before her are Myrt le (Clarence) Stoness, Bernice (Wilbert) Hunter and Willa (Norm) Ritchie. Mary is survived by and deeply missed by her husband Bruce, of 58 years, their sons Harold (Carole), Mark is Carole's son and his girlfriend Jennifer, Kevin (Carol) and their c hildren Candice and Shaun, Shaun's girlfriend Angela. She will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. We will miss her witty disposition. MCGOWN, Mary JESSIE Died quietly on Friday, May 13, 2005, one day short of her 82nd birthday. She was a loving and generous mother to Christine and David, sister to Don, Ann, and Edna, mother-in-law to Rima and Rob, and grandmother to Katie, Michael, Taryn, Gavin, Joshua and Sarah, but she loved perhaps most of all her late husband Keith with whom she spent over 50 years of her life. Mary spent much of her life changing gears. Born in Scotland, she moved to Canada as a child, and then continued to move, from Chatham to Toronto, to Uxbridge, to Sudbury, to Winnipeg, to Milton, to Barrie, and finally back to Toronto. Mary had a warm heart and a wry sense of humour and she was loved wherever she lived. She leaves behind a well-worn address book full of the names of loyal longtime and recent friends. BERLIN, NH--Mr. Constant N. "Ace" Blais, 76, of 539 Lincoln Avenue, Berlin, NH, passed away on Saturday May 14, 2005 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in East Angus, PQ, Canada, on October 15, 1928, the son of Arthur and Alice (Duquet) Blais, and has lived in Berlin since he was six. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Europe during the Korean War. He had been employed by Brown Company in the service garage and James River Corp. as a company mail carrier. He was a member of St. Anne Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish, the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW, the F.O.E and the Knights of Columbus. Members of the family include his wife, Irene (Robichaud) Blais of Berlin; one daughter, Constance Croteau and husband Michael of Berlin; two grandsons, Andrew and Eric Croteau of Berlin; one brother, Marcil Blais of Manchester, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Priscilla Vaillancourt, and three brothers, Val Blais, Herve Blais and Paul Blais. Audrey Mary Bourgeois, 87, of Sour Lake died May 14, 2005 at Sagebrook Health Center in Cedar Park, Texas. Born February 19, 1918 in Henry, Louisiana to Morris and Lelia Bourgeois, Audrey spent her early years in Port Arthur and then moved to Sour Lake, where she graduated from high school. She was a lingerie buyer for seventeen stores owned by The Fair, Incorporated until her retirement. Survivors include her sister, Eleanor Williamson and brother-in-law, Edgar Williamson of Austin; sister-in-law, Juanita Bourgeois Herford and her husband Jim of Sour Lake; brother-in-law, Alton Miller of Beaumont; beloved nieces and nephews, Catherine Harrell and her husband John, Jody Williamson and his wife Shawna and Keith Williamson and his wife Kristen, all of Austin, Danny Bourgeois and his wife Brenda of Lumberton and Mark Bourgeois and his wife Tammy of Groesbeck; thirteen loving great nieces and nephews and five great great nieces and nephews. He was 81 years old.Mr. Broussard was a retired dairy farmer. He operated his own dairy and also owned his own dairy tanker truck in which he would transport milk for other farmers to Southwest Pure Milk and Borden's in Lafayette for many years. He was still an active horse breeder and was a member of the Louisiana Thoroughbred Association. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served in the Pacific Theatre from 1943 to 1946 on the Battleship USS New Jersey. He was a member of the Derouen Moss American Legion Post and the Vermilion Parish VFW Post. He served as past commander of both posts and was currently the Vermilion Parish Area Commander. He will be deeply missed.He is survived by his wife, Clothilde LeBlanc Broussard, of the Woodlawn area; his son Steve Broussard and his wife, Marsha, of Crowley; his daughter, Sandra Baranowski and her husband, Ted, and another son, Scott Broussard and his wife, Marisa, all of the Woodlawn area; his brother, Dalton Broussard, of Sheffield, Ala.; his sister, Della Comeaux, of Youngsville; his six grandchildren, Ryan Broussard and his wife, Mandy, Theresa Touchet and her husband, Mike, Tarrah Davis and her husband, W.L., Kelly Broussard, Tiffany LeBlanc and her husband, Seth, and Devin Broussard. MEXICO - Agnes J. Carignan, 87, wife of William "Chick" Carignan of 8 Bucknum St., died Saturday, May 14, shortly after her arrival at the Rumford Community Hospital.She was born Feb. 15, 1918, in Mexico, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes Whyte Convery. A resident of this community all her life, she graduated from Mexico High School with the Class of 1935.She retired from the main coaters of the Oxford Paper Co., where she had worked as an inspector and had 31 years of service.She was a life member of the 1918 Club, a member of the 25 Year Club of Retired Oxford Paper Co. Employees, and the St. Andrew Society. WILLIAM BENJAMIN DUMAS ("BEN") was born in Baytown, Texas on May 5, 1921 and departed this life to live with his heavenly father on May 14, 2005. His loving wife, Margret Beth Dumas, son, Philip Benson Dumas, daughter-in-law, Marilyn Scotton Dumas, daughter, Patti Sue Dumas and grandchildren, Nathan Dumas, Rachel Dumas, Brooke Dumas, Chase Dumas and a number of extended family, survives him. Ben graduated from Baytown Robert E. Lee High School in 1937 and the University of Texas in 1950. He was a Professional Registered Engineer. He served with the 8th Air Force as a B-17 navigator in England during WWII from 1943 to 1944 and was awarded the Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Ben, Daddy, Granddaddy was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather. He wife of 61 years was his "Queen" and he treated her as a princess all of their years together. His grandchildren were the apples of his eye. The goal of his life was to be God's man and live a Christian life. Mission accomplished, as he illustrated God's principles in every part of his life. He was a deacon, elder and teacher in the Church of Christ for many years and loved teaching young people. After retirement, one of Ben's favorite pastimes was working as a crossing guard for a Fort Bend County elementary school. Dad was a gentle Sheppard to all he knew and loved people on a totally unconditional basis. The funeral will be at Sugar Grove Church of Christ located at 11,600 West Airport in Meadows Place, Texas at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 17, 2005. LaBarge, 69, died May 1, 2005, at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, following a long illness.He was born in Bennington, Vt., on June 21, 1935, the son of Robert and Philomene (Chenaille) LaBarge.He received his education in Bennington schools.In earlier years Mr. LaBarge was employed at the Benmont Paper Mill and was a carpenter for many years. He moved with his family to Venice, Fla., in 1974, and worked for the Sarasota School System. Robert D. LaFarge 70, of North Andover died May 15, 2005 at the Radius Healthcare Center in Danvers. Mr. LaFarge was born in Somerville to the late Leo and Marjorie (McKinnon) LaFarge. He was in the United States Navy and in the United States Army. He was an Assistant Manager at Stop and Shop where he worked for 37 years. He is survived by his partner of over 22 years, Jason E. PROULX, THERESE G. 'TERRY', 68, of 612 George Washington Highway, and formerly of Central Falls, died Sunday in the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the beloved wifeof Rene H. Proulx. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Marie J. (Roger) Laroche. She resided in Lincoln for the past two years previously living most of her life in Central Falls.She was employed by the Central Falls School Department as a crossing guard for thirty-two years retiring in 1998. She was previously employed by the former Health-Tex Corp. in their Central Falls plant. She was a communicant of St. Matthew Church, Dexter St., Central Falls.Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Suzanne Bouley and Jacquelin Prusko both of Lincoln. One brother, Roland Laroche of Barrington and a sister, Doris Medeiros of Central Falls. She also leaves three grandchildren, Ryan Bouley, Jennifer Prusko and Stephanie Prusko all of Lincoln. Several nieces and nephews.Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from the J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Matthew Church, Dexter Street, Central Falls. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Dorothy Leyse La Plant, 94, of Kewaunee died Saturday, May 14, 2005. She was born February 13, 1911, in Kewaunee to Albert Leyse and Delia Bebeau Leyse at their family home, 222 Dorelle Street. Dorothy attended school in Kewaunee and graduated from high school in 1929. She attended Gladys Hight’s School of Dance in Chicago. She then returned to Kewaunee and started the Dorothy Leyse School of Dancing traveling to Two Rivers, Manitowoc, Kewaunee, Algoma and Sturgeon Bay. She married John Mitchell La Plant on August 28, 1935, and moved to Sturgeon Bay continuing the Dancing School in Kewaunee, Algoma and Sturgeon Bay. In 1942 they returned to Kewaunee where she continued her Dancing School spanning over a 20-year career. She directed many groups of Baruschka Girls for the Bohemian Show and helped train dance groups for other home talent shows. Besides her love for dancing, Dorothy enjoyed working in her beautiful gardens, knitting, cooking and playing bridge. She was a member of the Kewaunee Golf League, Kewaunee Women’s Club, several bridge clubs and Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.She is survived by one daughter, Mary (Phil) Esten, of La Crosse, Wis.; one son, John Mitchell (Jeanette) La Plant, of Plover, Wis.; three grandsons, Phil (Dani) Esten Jr., of Minneapolis, Minn.; Andrew Esten, of Albuquerque, NM; and Chad Esten, of San Diego, Calif. She is also survived by, a niece, Jeanne Bauren; and a nephew, David Musselman.She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1974; one daughter, Linda, in 1985; her parents, Albert Leyse in 1960 and Delia Leyse in 1954. Albert Leyse founded the Leyse Aluminum Company in 1905 now the Volrath Company. She was also preceded in death by, four sisters, Viola, Gertrude, Alice and Winifred; and one brother, Riley; and one niece, Elizabeth Hunsader.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kewaunee at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, with Fr. William Swichtenberg officiating.. Friends may call at the church thirty minutes before the Mass. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee, is assisting the family.

FORTIN, RITA MAE MICHEL She fought a hard battle with cancer and passed away at her home Sunday, May 15, 2005, at 1:15 a.m. She was a homemaker and a resident and native of Plaquemine. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Tuesday, May 17, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, at noon Wednesday, celebrated by the Rev. Cleo Milano. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Ann Fortin and Dave Purcell, Oklahoma City; four sons and three daughters-in-law, John and Sammy Fortin, Pagosa Springs, Colo., Stephen Fortin, Springfield, Tenn., Mark and Rosalee Fortin, Oklahoma City, and Joe and Nancy Fortin, Albuquerque, N.M.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mercedes Simoneaux and Betty and Leonard Simoneaux, all of Bayou Pigeon, and Winnie and Tony Lee, Carencro; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Geneva Michel, Pierre Part, and Jimmy and Harriet Michel, Bayou Pigeon; and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Fortin; parents, Jack and Nellie Michel; and brother, Elphage Joseph "EJ" Michel Jr.
