Mark E. Vincent 1946 - 2005 OTTAWA, ON. - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Vincent, 58 years old, of Ottawa (formerly of Moncton). Mark was a retired R.C.M.P. officer with the Security Intelligence Service. Mark is survived by a daughter; his father Eugene (his late beloved mother, Frances) and his sister, Tanya. Mark was also survived by his loving aunt, M. Elizabeth Ogden, Riverview and his uncle Harry McLellan, PEI, both of whom he was very close. Wyman Thomas PORT ELGIN, NB - The death of Wyman Thomas, age 71, of Port Elgin, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, April 13, 2005. Born in Baie Verte, he was a son of the late George and Alma (Allen) Thomas. Wyman will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Flora (MacEachern); three sons, Albert, Larry (Tammy) and Michael; six daughters, Esther, Kathy (Rick), Annie (John), Nancy, Marilyn (Tony) and Mary (Tony); 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Everette and Herbert. He was predeceased by a son, Reginald; brother, Arnold and sister, Jean. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 W Main St., Port Elgin (364-1300) with visitation Friday from 7 to 9 pm. KIRKHAM, ELLEN WINNIFRED The death of Ellen Winnifred Kirkham, wife of the late Bernard Kirkham, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on April 11th, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Ontario, on January 14, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Maggie Thompson. She was a member of the Evangel Assembly. Ellen is survived by one son Dwight Kirkham (Susan) of Prince Edward Island; two grandchildren, Katie and Thomas; one brother Dawson Thompson (Kathleen) of Parham, ON; one sister Thelma Shaw (Art) of Godfrey, ON; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one brother Bert Thompson and one sister Burma Reetan. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, April 16 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 17th, 2005 at 2:30 pm from Evangel Assembly, Fredericton with Rev. Harlyn Purdy officiating. Interment will take place at Dayton Cemetery. BEULAH, ALBERTA CALDWELL, RN - The death of Mrs. Beulah Alberta Caldwell RN, 95, of St.George, NB, wife of the late Donald McLean Caldwell, occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on April 13, 2005. Born in Elgin, NB on June 17, 1909, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Garland) Barchard. Beulah is survived by one daughter, Mary Anne (Vance) Craig of Utopia; one daughter-in-law, Susana Caldwell of Fredericton, NB; five grandchildren, Heather Craig, David (Tracy) Craig, Alyson Craig (Craig MacDonald), Donald and Anastasia Caldwell; two sisters, Doris Everall of England and Evelyn (Mrs. James McCafferty) of Moncton, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her girls, Mimi, Irene and Joan, and faithful caregiver, Eleanor James. She was pre-deceased by one son, George; two brothers, Everett and Cyril, and one sister, Dr. Fernetta Levy. Beulah graduated from Nursing School at the General Hospital in Saint John in 1931 and spent 25 years nursing at Fundy Hospital in Blacks Harbour. She was a former District Commissioner of the Girl Guides, member of the Women's Institute in Blacks Harbour, member of NBARN (New Brunswick Association of Registered Nurses) and an adherent of the Presbyterian Kirk of St. George. Friends may call at the home of her daughter, Mary Anne and Vance Craig at 10 McLeans Beach Lane, Lake Utopia (755-3281). A memorial service will be held on Monday April 18th at 2:00 pm from the Presbyterian Kirk, St.George, with Rev. Dr. Stephen Cho officiating. HAYWARD, LOIS - The death of Lois Hayward of Perth-Andover occurred on April 13, 2005 at the Victoria Glen Manor at the age of 78. Born in Grand Falls she was the daughter of the late Harold and Gladys Pirie. She is survived by two daughters Nancy Hayward and Richard St. Peter of Perth-Andover and Marsha Hayward of Hudson, Mass.; two grandchildren Marsha Godsoe and Scott Jenkins; three great grandchildren Jamie, Samantha and Christopher; three sisters Joan Nugent of Boston, Nancy (Arthur) Vidal of East Falmouth and Jan (Al) Fortushniok of Niagara Falls. Frazer Brassie Wood May 02, 1981 - October 20, 2004 Frazer lost his life on October 20, 2004, along with his brother Marc in a boating accident. He was found on April 13, 2005, thanks to the diligence of searchers from the four Island Lake First Nations. Frazer lived in Garden Hill for most of his life. Frazer leaves to mourn his parents Eric and Marilyn Wood, his partner Tina Anderson, his children, Nicholas Shayne, Seth and Janelle, his big brother Jason Wood, sisters-in-law Mary with nephew and nieces Cordell, Erin, Jaylin and Iris, Marcella with nephews and nieces Tyson, Courtney, Delaney, Kelsey and Bethney, his sister Kayla Wood with niece and nephews Kaylene, Trent, Rochone, Tyson, and sister Tammy. He also leaves to mourn his Kookum, Annie Wood and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Besides entering into eternal life with Marc, he was predeceased by his grandparents Priscilla and Lazarus Fiddler, grandfather Geordie Wood, cousins Shayne Harper, Solomon Fiddler, Trevor Wood, Toddie Wood, Warren Wood and nephew Chico Harper. Services were held at 410 Pritchard on Friday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. Frazer will be laid to rest on Sunday, April 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Henry Fiddler Memorial United Church in Garden Hill. Beloved husband for 39 years, of Filippina (Stranges) Vescio. Dear father of Josephine Ferro, husband Vince, Angelo Joe Vescio, wife Lina, Jenny Mancuso, husband Victor and Domenic (Mickey) Vescio and Katy Johnston, all of Niagara Falls. Nonno Benny will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Vincent, Daniel, and Sara Ferro and Sofia and Isabella Vescio whom he loved and cared for with all his heart. BROWN, Adam Greenwood Age 41 years, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife Vivian, Monday, April 11, 2005. Adam leaves behind his wife Vivian and his five beautiful daughters Elizabeth, Sarah, Emily, Merideth and Olivia. He will be dea rly missed and never forgotten for the love, kindness and dedication he displayed for his children. Audrey taught English and physical education at high schools in Belle River, Oakville and Milton. She was an active member of Streetsville United Church, and helped found and lead many community-based volunteer programs, including the youth volunteer corps at Credit Valley Hospital, and Mississauga-based Foodpath, an organization whose initiatives included creation of a foodbank, children’s breakfast program and co-op housing. Audrey was privileged to have had so many good friends, colleagues, neighbours and family who contributed to her well-being and success and whom we would like to thank for their generous support in her final days. We are particularly grateful for the loving homecare provided to Mom by our Dad Ross and our sister Kelli. In addition to his wife, Glenwood is survived by two daughters, Carol Hickey (Ronald) of Temperance Vale, NB and Sheila Fulton (Robert) of Ripples, NB; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister Georgina Billings of Mouth of Keswick, NB; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by one son Wayne Brewer; three sisters, Leona Price, Beulah and Pauline; and five brothers, Wilfred, Ralston, Wendall, Hershal and Earle. Visitation will take place at the Church of Christ, Burtt's Corner, NB on April 15, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Carl J. Godsoe Carl J. Godsoe, 75, of Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, April 14, 2005. Born in Moncton, son of the late Percy and Gertrude (Corkum) Godsoe. Carl was retired from C.N.R. Express with over 32 years service. Carl was a very kind and generous person who enjoyed helping and aiding neighbors and friends. OBITUARY ELEANOR J. ORMSTON 1924-2005 Eleanor (Ellie) Ormston passed away peacefully at the Freeport Health Centre on Thursday, April 14, 2005 after a brief illness. Ellie is survived by her brother Ian C. Ormston; her niece Leslie Ormston; a second niece, Diana, and her husband John Spearn; a nephew Charlie Ormston and his wife Elaine. Ellie was a special aunt to her nine great nieces and nephews and was very devoted to each of them. Ellie was predeceased in 1939 by her mother, Dorothy, and by her father Charles Mowbray Ormston in 1945, as well as by her brother Leslie in 1921, Roger in 1938, her sister Ursula in 1971, and her sister-in-law Marguerite in 2000. Ellie was born in Montreal on June 24, 1924 and developed a particular love for travel. She attended Miss Weston's School in Westmount and Mount Allison Ladies' College in New Brunswick. She worked at the Veteran's Hospital in Montreal for many years before moving to Waterloo in 1997 to be closer to her family. While in Waterloo, she resided at Luther Village. A service of remembrance for Ellie's family and her friends will be held at the Luther Village Chapel on Father David Bauer Drive in Waterloo on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. There will be a private interment at the Blair Cemetery at a future date. Ellie's family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Grand River Hospital and the Freeport Health Centre for the excellent care she received. The family is particularly grateful to Dr. Elliot Williamson for his sensitivity in meeting Ellie's needs and the needs of her family.
