Richard J. Murray 1945 - 2005 DAWSON SETTLEMENT, NB - Richard Murray, 60, of Dawson Settlement passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, April 4, 2005 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, February 6, 1945, he was the son of Shirley (Walker) McMahon and the late Lou McMahon. For over 25 years Richard was a dedicated employee with Canada Post. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed playing cards and crib. He is survived by his wife, Constance "Connie" (Fleming); daughters, Carol LaChapel (Dave) of ON, Melissa Rushton (Blair) and Trina Murray (Justin) all of Riverview; sons, Shane Fleming (Charlene) of Moncton, and Richard JR. (Sara) of Riverview; sisters, Linda Woodman (Roy) of Riverview, Dorothy McMahon of Moncton, Darlene McMahon of Calgary, AL, and Wanda Stiles (David) of Moncton; brothers, Terry (Joan), Sterling (Wendy), John "Jackie", and Greg (Louise) all of Moncton, Stephen (Jeannette) of Shediac, and Rodney of Dawson Settlement; grandchildren, Christopher, Chad, Randy, Sarah, Kyla, and Leah; as well several nieces and nephews. Rosmairi Theresa Evelyn Strand (Reid) Rosmairi Theresa Evelyn Strand (Reid) passed away peacefully at home in International Falls, Mn. on Sunday, April 3, 2005. She was born in Beausejour, Man. on March 21, 1953 and was lovingly chosen by Adam and Mary Maskerine six months later. John Reid Sr. adopted Rosmairi when he married Mary later. Rosmairi is survived by her husband, John Strand, whom she married Dec. 16, 1972; daughters, Nicole Skallman (Alan) and their children, Kaysha, Kylie, and Lane, of International Falls, Mn., and Traci Strand (Todd Grundmeyer) and their children, Hunter and Chance, of Reno, Nev. Also surviving are her brother, John Maskerine of Thompson, Man.; step-brothers, John Reid Jr. (Marie) of Ottawa, Ont., Pat Reid (Maureen) of Toronto, Ont., and Michael Reid (Joyce) of Schrieber, Ont.; step-sister, Mary; step-mother, Virginia Reid of Fort Frances, Ont.; and mother-in-law, Gertrude Strand of Fort Frances, Ont. During her short life on this Earth, Rosmairi worked for Dr. Stinson and the Times in Fort Frances. She then worked for the Daily Journal in International Falls. In July, 2001, she fulfilled her lifelong dream as she graduated from the licensed practical nursing program at Rainy River Community College in International Falls. She then worked as a nurse at Ranier Roost before her cancer struck. A private memorial for friends and family will be conducted Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Church in International Falls. In memoriam donations may be given in Rosmairi’s honour to the Koochiching Hospice.

MARCOTTE, Michael Patrick, 45, died Friday, April 1, 2005, at University Hospital in Temple Terrace. He was born June 25, 1959, in Detroit, Mich. He lived in Kankakee, Ill., Wooster, Ohio, and Chattanooga, Tenn., before moving to Temple Terrace 15 years ago. He was employed at Sathers Trucking in Chattanooga and at All-State Insurance in Temple Terrace. Although he became a paraplegic in 1984, Michael lived independently and led a rich and active life, and enjoyed swimming, boating, fishing, and his friends and family. He is survived by his parents, James and Cynthia Marcotte; sisters, Pamela Marcotte of Studio City, Calif., Kathleen Marcotte of Nashville, Tenn., and Lisa Marcotte of Chattanooga; and nieces, Jessica Rogers and Jennifer Schreiner of Nashville, Tenn. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at the Terrace Oaks Funeral Home in Temple Terrace. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. April 9, 2005, at the Pilgrim United Congregational Church in Chattanooga, Ten n. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. before the service. Elle fut une bénévole active au sein de l’organisation Jericho à West Springfield et celle de Mont-Marie à Holyoke. Elle a aussi, en collaboration avec son gendre Lenoard Anair, fondé le tournoi de golf annuel «Diane (Turgeon) Anair Memorial». Elle était l’épouse bien-aimée de feu M. Emile Turgeon, la mère de Ghislaine, Jacques et Daniel du Colorado, États-Unis, Luc Turgeon de Pennsylvanie, États-Unis et Louise Turgeon d’Agawam, Massachusetts et de feu Diane (Turgeon) Anair, décédée en 2002. Elle était la soeur dévouée de Claude, Fernand, Adrian et Jean-Raymond Girard et de Yolande (Girard) Langlois de Québec et la grand-mère de Cerena, Kurt, Keith, Tanya et Eric Turgeon et de Monique, Nicole et Don Anair. Elle laisse aussi ses chers arrières-petits-enfants Jacob et Emma Towsley. WILSON, Dr. Arthur Patrick Born in Tilbury Ontario on February 12, 1919 and died in Windsor, Ontario on April 3, 2005. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Angelina, and his daughter Julie Cats (Luke). Predeceased by his daughter Pamela (2004) his sister Barbara (1988) and by his brother Robert. Dr. Wilson graduated from Sandwich High School (1937) and the University of Toronto (1943). He served overseas as a Captain in Great Britain and Germany. He obtained his Canadian certificate of Dermatology in 1951 and practised in Windsor for 50 years. He was past president of the Detroit Dermatological Society and the Windsor Branch of the International Wine and Food Society. At Dr. Wilson's request there will be no Funeral services. ROCHESTER — Robert E. Lamontagne, 63, of 98 Crown Point Road, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Concord Hospital, following a long illness.He was born in Manchester on July 11, 1941, the son of Ovide and Aloysia (Lemelin) Lamontagne. He lived in Elizabethtown, Pa., for a number of years prior to returning to New Hampshire in 1981. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester.Dr. Lamontagne was a professor of political science at Elizabethtown College for 15 years. He also worked for Advanced Systems, an educational testing service, and was a local Realtor. He was proud to carry on a family tradition, living on the Lamontagne Homestead and farm here in Rochester which was purchased by his family in 1891. He was extremely proud of his French Canadian ancestry and was fluent in French. He was a former member of the Richelieu Club and the Rochester Pigeon Racing Club.Surviving family members include his beloved wife of more than 37 years, Virginia (Clavelli) Lamontagne of Rochester; his children, Anne-Louise Simon and her husband, Dominique, of Paris, France, Colette Lamontagne of Arlington, MA, Rachele Lamontagne of Stratham, and Robert E. Henri worked many years as a plasterer and for the last 22 years of his career, he was employed at the Catholic School Board as a custodian. BAIN, John C. "Jack". Passed away at Peterborough's Civic Hospital on Sunday, April 3, 2005 at ninety-two years of age. He is survived by his beloved wife Mimi C. Bain (nee Beaubien), his two children, Marie Alexandra "Sandy" and Peter Stuart Bain, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Jack served overseas in England and Continental Europe as an Infantry Officer and was well known in Montreal as an advertising executive and in musical circles. A private family service was held. TALBOT, JOHN C., 86, of McNiff St., died Saturday at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of the late Eileen (Quinn) Talbot. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late Albert and Alice (Archambault) Talbot. Mr. Talbot was the former Postmaster of the West Warwick Branch of the US Postal Service for 20 years before retiring in 1985. He was a past West Warwick Town Council member and a WWII Army Veteran where he was a recipient of the Bronze Star.He leaves a sister, Marie A. Morgan of Narragansett and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Paul L., Roland, George and Maurice Talbot.His funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy Street, West Warwick.
