DILLABOUGH, Terry Suddenly at home on April 1, 2005. Terry Eugene James Dillabough of Mississippi Station, at age 39. Loving husband of Mary Beth (Neville) and dear father of Bradley Dillabough. Son of Harriet Wood (Russell) of Erinsville and Eugene Dillabough (Agnes) of Alberta. Grandson of Doug Olmstead; the late Alice (Dillabough) and Art Dillabough. Brother of Pat Lalone and Bob Dillabough (Wendy) and step-brother of Jason Wood (Sonja) and Michelle Giddy (Guy). Uncle of Jordan, Christine, Ch ris, Tim, Bobby, Madison, Garrett. Also remembered by many aunts and uncles. Terry was an avid hunter and fisherman and truly loved the outdoors. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Wannamaker-Tierney Funeral Home, 123 D undas Street West, Napanee, on Saturday, April 9 at 3 p.m. Friends will be received from 12 noon until service. GOURLAY, Ferne Lorraine (b. 1924) Passed away peacefully March 31, 2005, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband James, parents Thomas and Cora, sister Melba and brother Kenneth, Ferne is survived by her sons David (Jan) and Kenneth (Anne), grandchildren Mason, Sarah and Melissa, nephews and nieces and grand-nephews and nieces. Ferne was a public health nurse. She received her training at Saskatoon City Hospital and later worked at Shaughnessy Hospital in Vancouver, where she met her husband James. Once married, they made their home in Ottawa. She resumed her nursing career after raising her family, earning her BSC N and public health certificate at the U of O. Ferne and Jim retired to Victoria and Ferne later moved to Langley where she has lived since. At Ferne's request, there will be no service. An informal gathering of close family and friends will take place from 2 p.m. on Saturday April 8, 2005 at the home of her son David. GREGOIRE, Rev. Gerald Telesphore, C.S.B. Died in his sleep, on Sunday, April 3, 2005, in Shanghai, China, while travelling with friends. Father Gregoire was born in Toronto, May 2, 1924, son of Telesphore Gregoire and Leonida Lawless. Loving brother and uncle of Frank and his wife Anne and their children, Joanne, Gerald, John, Michael, Patricia, Frank, Theresa, and Kathleen; Basil and his wife Shirlie and their children, Joan, Stephen, Suzanne, Janine, Brian and Mary Lou; Catherine Downes and her children, Gerrard, Joseph, John and Maryanne. Father Gregoire was predeceased by brother-in-law George Downes. Dear great-uncle of 31 grandnieces and nephews and 2 great-grandnieces and nephews. Father Gregoire will be dearly missed by many cousins and friends. Father Gregoire attended Holy Name Elementary School (Toronto) and St. Michael's College School (Toronto) where he was an accomplished hockey player. He entered the Basilian Fathers Novitiate in 1942, and graduated from St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto in 1946. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 29, 1951. Father Gregoire's teaching career included appointments to Catholic Central High School (Detroit) St. Michael's College School (Toronto) St. Mary's College (Calgary) Assumption High School (Windsor) and St. Joseph's High School (Ottawa). He was Principal of St. Francis Boys' High School (Lethbridge) and St. Mary's College (Sault Ste. Marie). Father Gregoire taught Latin, French and Theology and coached football, basketball and hockey. He was Superior of a residence for young Basilians in Windsor and was Superior of St. Basil's Seminary (Toronto). Parish appointments included Pastor of St. Mary's (Owen Sound), St. Basil's (Ottawa), Holy Rosary (Toronto), St. Basil's (Toronto) and St. Eugene's (Toronto). His most recent appointment was Associate Pastor at St. Basil's (Toronto). Friends may call at St. Basil's Parish Church, 50 St. Joseph Street, Toronto on Monday, April 18th from 3 p.m. A Vigil Service will be held at the Church on Monday night at 7 p.m. Father Gregoire's body will lie in state at St. Basil's Church until the concelebration of the Mass of Christian Burial which will take place on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Interment on Wednesday, April 20th at 10 a.m. in the Basilian Plot at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill, Ontario. Lazare Gionet (1896-2005) l'Acadie Nouvelle - 4 avril 2005 BAS-CARAQUET - À la Villa Beauséjour de Caraquet, le vendredi 1er avril 2005, à l’âge de 108 ans et huit mois, est décédé Lazare Gionet, époux de feu Lauza Hébert, domicilié à la Villa Beauséjour, mais autrefois de Bas-Caraquet. Il était fils de feu Lazare Edouard Gionet et de feu Philomène Albert (beau-père, feu David Gionet). Il laisse dans le deuil trois filles: Hectorine (feu Nicholas Hébert) de la Villa Beauséjour de Caraquet, Mona (Gérard Cormier) de Bertrand et Murielle (André Fillion) de Riverside, Californie, É.-U.; un fils, Arismond (Jeannine Quesnel) de Montclair, Californie, É.-U.; deux gendres: Valmond Foulem (feu Analda) de Saint-Simon et Frank Birch (feu Annette) de Winnipeg, Manitoba, ainsi que 31 petits-enfants, 46 arrière-petits-enfants et 10 arrière-arrière-petits-enfants et plusieurs neveux et nièces. Trois filles: Annette, Analda et Muriel (en bas âge); deux fils: Armand et Paul-Aurèle; deux soeurs: Elisabeth (en bas âge) et Lucille; quatre demi-soeurs: Philomène, Marie Philomène (en bas âge), Esther et Victorie; deux frères: Joseph Samuel (en bas âge) et Samuel, ainsi que trois demi-frères: Prospere, Alfred et Louis, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. M. Gionet était un vétéran de la Première Guerre mondiale. Il était membre de la Légion de Caraquet. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la Maison funéraire Racicot de Caraquet. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Paul de Bas-Caraquet, le mardi 5 avril, à 16h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial, plus tard ce printemps. Heures de visites: le lundi 4 avril, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le mardi 5 avril, de 14h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. Les vétérans sont invités à se rendre au salon, le mardi 5 avril, à 15h, pour une cérémonie de prières. À la demande de la famille, un don à l’église Saint-Paul de Bas-Caraquet serait apprécié. Margaret Sophie Exton April 26, 1917 - March 29, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Victoria) Aloha, In Loving Memory of Margaret "Sophie" Exton (Tahouney, Roland) Born and raised on Salt Spring Island BC on April 26, 1917 and always an island girl at heart passed away at home on March 29, 2005. Sophie is predeceased by her first husband, Herbert Tahouney, her second husband Cyril Exton, her sons Lloyd and Robert and her daughter Myra. We are left to grieve her: Josephine (Rollie) Steinbach, George (Colleen) Tahouney and Rose (Peter) Unger. Her brother Fred Roland is the last surviving member of her family of origin. The numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and lists of nieces and nephews. Sophie was involved with her family and her community. She will always be remembered as a James Bay Regular and a lifetime member of the Army and Navy Ladies Auxiliary. Sophie was a 30 year member of Trafalgar Pro Pats Ladies Auxillary . Five generations of family and friends have all been better people for knowing Sophie Exton. She was a mother to so many people and she raised us all right. Shirley Mae Crochet Trahan, 79, a native and resident of Houma, died at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, with burial in St. Louis Cemetery. She is survived by three sons, Charles Trahan and wife, Mary, of Bourg, Danny Trahan and Evest Trahan Jr. and wife, Beth, of Houma; four daughters, Pauline LeBoeuf of Chauvin, Ada Rivette and husband, Tony Rivette, Jeannette Chauvin and Eldon Chauvin Jr. and Darlene Mott and husband, Karl Mott, of Houma; one brother, Robert Crochet of Houma; two sisters, Beverly Dardar of Bayou Black and Elizabeth Fonseca of Montegut; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Evest Trahan Sr.; her parents, Alphonse Crochet and Louise Bourg Crochet; her foster parents, Walter Crochet and Ada Duplantis Crochet; five brothers, Elward, Donald and Junius Crochet, Jake Bergeron and Sterling Guidry; and three sisters, Doris Brister, Angelique "Angelle" Trahan and Anna Hebert. GORHAM, NH -- Colette I. Vaillancourt, 75 of 11 Highland Ave, Gorham, NH, passed away at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Thursday March 31, 2005. She was born August 13, 1929 in Paris, France, the daughter of Louis and Alice (Macadre) LA-Neelle. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and VFW Auxilary Post 2520. She traveled extensively with her husband while he was in the United States Air Force. An avid swimmer she especially enjoyed lakes, enjoyed bowling and loved bingo. She became a naturalized citizen in three years and became a very patriotic citizen. She will always be remembered for her love of humanity. Mrs. Vaillancourt is survived by her husband, Joseph Rene Vaillancourt of Gorham, who she married in Paris in 1956. She is also survived by one sister, Christiane Kurdegak of Briare, France, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by one sister; Genevieve Benichou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Monday April 4, at Holy Family Parish, 5 Church St., Gorham. Calling Hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 33 Exchange St., Gorham. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery.

Voisine, Clara Marie -- Bay City, Michigan -- Mrs. Voisine passed away Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Sheffield Bay Assisted Living, age 90 years. She was born June 25, 1914 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Edward and Bertha (Dietrich) Skeldon. She married Peter W. Voisine on August 29, 1936 and he predeceased her on August 1, 2002. Clara was a secretary with the Bay City Public School District for many years. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Bay City and a member of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel. Surviving are three children: Marcia Voisine, Bonnie (Francisco) Xavier, and David (Dianne) Voisine; three grandchildren: Steven Sy, Tracy and Christopher Voisine; a brother, Elmer (Pauline) Skeldon and a sister, Joan; two brothers- in-law, Thomas (Floris) Voisine and Gus Voisine and four sisters-in-law: Fidelis Malmo, Edwedge (Ernie) LaPan, Lois Voisine and Angeline Cole. Clara was predeceased by six brothers and sisters. The Funeral Service is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. from the Squires Funeral Home. Rev. Andreas Teich will officiate and interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. ORRINGTON - Cecilia Jean Adams Legge Bertolet, most precious and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully, March 30, 2005, surrounded by loving family. She was born July 9, 1924, in Bournemouth, England, to William and Emily Francis Adams. Cecilia studied dance beginning at 3 years old and at 17 was accepted into what is now known as the Royal Ballet. She was blessed with the voice of an angel and during World War II performed in over 500 troop shows. Cecilia and her husband, Donald, are still remembered for the many hours of musical entertainment they provided their patrons at the family business, The Islesboro Inn, in Islesboro. Widowed at a young age she subsequently married Frederick Bertolet who also predeceased her. Cecilia was an avid traveler and loved New Zealand, especially her adored friends, Ann and Bill Harris. She enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking, gardening, feeding the birds and long distance swimming but she was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. Cecilia believed strongly in the Heart to Heart program at Eastern Maine Medical Center and enjoyed volunteering in the program. She was also extremely proud of our military men and women and was honored to be a Maine Troop Greeter. Although born British she was a proud American by choice. She is survived by the loves of her life, Sandra Wardwell, William Legge, Diana Winthrop-Denning and Walter Legge; her grandchildren, Adam, Debbie, Billy, Ken, Cee-Cee, Michael and Lee; as well as five great-grandchildren. Cecilia was sunshine, warmth, and laughter; she lived wisely, loved generously, and she brought true and lasting happiness to all who knew her. A celebration of Cecilia's life will be held on July 9, 2005. LeBLANC, DOROTHY M.- The death of Dorothy Mae LeBlanc, of Bridgetown, NS, formerly of Stephenson Tower, Saint John, wife of the late Herbert J. LeBlanc, occurred on Friday, April 1, 2005 at the Mountain Lea Nursing Home, Bridgetown, NS. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Mary (McManus) Splane. Dorothy was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Parish and their CWL and had sung in musicals at Holy Trinity with her husband Herb. She was formerly employed with Scovil Bros., M.R.A.'s and Sears and was a former member of the East Saint John Lions Club and the Glee Club. She is survived by two daughters, Rose Marie Stack of Greenwood, NS and Heather LeBlanc and her husband William Power of Granville Ferry, NS, five grandchildren, Diane Kakonyi, Wayne Stack, Michael Stack, Paul Stack and Maegan Power, one great granddaughter, Molly Kakonyi, several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her loving husband David, daughter Lisa (Darryl Stal), son Michael, granddaughter Emilie, nieces Rebecca, Ava, Paula, nephew Charles and extended family. She is predeceased by her mother Ita, father Sam and sister Sonia. Dora grew up in Winnipeg, attended St. John's high school and graduated from the University of Manitoba. She taught in Winnipeg, Regina and Beausejour. She was a creative and dedicated teacher. Dora was also a devoted mother, grandmother and loving wife. He enthusiasm for life and her kindness, will endure in our memories. Arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry. Née le 10 juillet 1915, elle était fille de feu Georges Paquet et de feu Hélène Mallet. Elle laisse dans le deuil trois soeurs: Bertha (feu Michel Levesque) de Montréal, Gilberte (feu Aurèle Téja) de Fairfield, É.-U. et Thelma (Joeffrey Duguay) de Shippagan; une belle-soeur, Anna (feu Gérard Paquet), ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. MacKAY BESSIE PHYLLIS (HOVEY) Bessie Phyllis (Hovey) "Shooks" MacKay passed away quietly at her home in Porter Cove, NB on April 3, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer, in the company of her loving family. Her husband of 65 years, Hudson MacKay, predeceased her in 1999. She was born on September 14, 1916, in Porter Cove. The daughter of the late Roy and Henrietta (Hovey) Hovey. Bessie spent many years working as a cook in the sporting camps on the Miramichi: Jack Russell's; Hickey's; Pond's; Swazey's; Wilson's; and in Rocky Brook. She was the "essence of home", multi-talented in the art of creating designer clothes, quilting, crocheting and knitting, an avid gardener and a skilled country cook. Her kind and gentle spirit, nurturing nature, and wise counsel touched many lives. She was a dedicated life-long member of the Saint James The Greater Anglican Chuch in Ludlow and a founding member of its "Anglican Church Women". She was a caring and active member of her community. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, she will be forever cherished by her surviving children: Phyllis Lawrie VanStone of Doaktown; Carl MacKay of Porter Cove; Louise (Wallace) O'Donnell of Porter Cove; Helen (Edward) Wilby of Oldsmar, Florida; and daughter-in-law Marie MacKay of Fredericton. Her 11 grandchildren: Lisa, Kevin, David, Kim, Janet, Angie, Anita, Erin, Cassie, Jason and Jeremy; and her 16 great grandchildren. Also, her beloved sister, Cora Hunter of Fredericton; sister-in-law Etta Parker of Fredericton; and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved son Glen "Glennie" MacKay in 1988; grandson Timothy "Tim" MacKay in 1996; two sisters, Rae Whalen and Alberta "Bertie" Nagle; and four brothers, Allan, Norman, Ralph and Hugh Hovey. Bessie is resting at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home in New Bandon. Visitation to be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the St. James The Greater Anglican Church, Ludlow on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 2pm. MACKAY, E.H. (R.N) Eileen Helen Mackay (RN) passed away after a hearty struggle against Parkinsons Disease on April 2, 2005 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Alymer Ontario on February 8, 1932 to Leonard and Pearl Addley, she was the wife of Major D.S. (Sam) MacKay (Retd) of Burton, New Brunswick. Eileen served in the RCAF and later nursed in the Extended Care Unit of the Oromocto Public Hospital. Survived by her husband Sam and her daughters Kathy MacKay (Brian Aldridge) and Kelly MacKay-Lachevrotiere (Andre Lachevrotiere); sisters Donna Armshaw (Allen) of London, Ontario, Marg Layton (Bill) of Woodstock, Ontario and Pat Pyatt (Jim) of Port Colborne, Ontario; brothers Len Addley (Phyllis) of North Bay, Ontario and Grant Addley of Alymer, Ontario; four grandchildren James Shrubb, Scott Shrubb, Oneida Aldridge and Noah MacKay-Lachevrotiere. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Ruby. MURRAY, ARTHENA N. - Arthena Nancy Murray of 22 Third Street, Rothesay, NB, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia on June 9, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Captain Arthur and Ethel (Poole) Hickey. She was predeceased by her husband Frank A. Murray and her sisters, Gertrude Palmer and Blanche Schwartz. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Ethel Bliss and husband Vern of Calgary, AB; her son, Kenneth Murray and wife, Sheila of Rothesay; her daughter, Susan MacLean and husband, Rod of Amherst and her daughter, Frances Baxter and husband, Jim of Moncton. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. There will be no visitation by family request.
