WORCESTER— Colette M. Gaucher, 73, of 44 Fairhaven Road, died Wednesday, March 23, in her home. She leaves her son, Michael J. Haubrich of Worcester; two brothers, Conrad J. Gaucher of Beverly and Ronald J. Gaucher of Boylston; three sisters, Theresa M. Bouffard of Princeton, Jennine C. Benson of Worcester, and Marguerite L. Pacheco of Sterling; many nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Valmore and Marguerite E. (Roberts) Gaucher, and has lived here all her life. She graduated from North High School, and attended Columbia University. Colette worked as a bookkeeper for C.V. Bianchi and Sons Contracting before she retired in 1992. She had previously worked as a bookkeeper for Sterling Plumbing and Heating and for Day’s Lodge on Lincoln Street. She had also worked for the ministry of Father D’Iorio for many years, and while in New York, she worked in the Japanese Pavilion during the 1965 World’s Fair. A private funeral service will be held Monday, March 28, at 11 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Private calling hours will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the funeral home, immediately prior to the funeral service.

Russell K. Hamel, 75, of Hillsboro Beach, Florida passed away on March 25, 2005. Born in Arlington, MA. He served in the US Army during WWII with the 4 MRI Division in Japan. He was a retired Police Officer in Woburn, MA and former resident of Martha's Vineyard. Survived by his wife, Margaret Call Hamel, daughter, Lee Crane and son Joseph of Hillsboro Beach, FL, sister in law Beverly Call of Londonderry, NH, nieces Joni O'Blenes, Patti Doyle and Lori Maynard. SOUTHBRIDGE— Cecile Y. (Lataille) Jette, 89, formerly of 60 Charlton St., died Saturday, March 26th, in the Radius Healthcare Center, Southbridge, after an illness. Her husband, Albert Jette, died in 1986. She leaves a brother, Leo A. Lataille of Southbridge; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Romeo Lataille and Arthur Lataille and a sister, Lillian Larson, predeceased her. She was born in Southbridge, the daughter of Joseph and Evelina (Girouard) Lataille and lived here all her life. Cecile worked at the American Optical Co. in Southbridge for 42 years before retiring and was a member of its Quarter Century Club. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Southbridge and its Ladies of St. Anne Society. She worked many years at the Sacred Heart bingo, and she also collected monies for meals at the elderly housing where she lived. She was a member of the Royal Travelers. She was an avid bingo player. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 29th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m in Sacred Heart Church, 30 Charlton St., Southbridge. Burial will be in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge. A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Tuesday, March 29th, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m before the Mass. Joyce (LePage) Casey of East Hartford dedicated wife of 59 years to Charles W. Casey died Thursday (March 24, 2005) at Hartford Hospital. She was born October 30, 1926 in Bristol daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha (Blanchard) LePage. She attended schools in Connecticut and New York and was employed by the Travelers Insurance Co. until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Christopher Church East Hartford. A member of the Travelers Girls Club, the Travelers Retirees Club, and was a secretary of the Pratt & Whitney Retirees Club. Besides her husband she is survived by her five sons, Kenneth of Glastonbury, Christopher of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Daniel of East Hartford, Patrick and David both of Colchester. She also leaves a daughter Eileen O'Keefe of Rocky Hill; her grandchildren, Christy, Erin, Kerri-Ann, Jennifer, Jessica, and Tyler Casey, Olivia Brendan, and Abigail O'Keefe; her brothers Ted of East Hartford, Gerry of Southington; her sisters Jean of Cromwell, and Muriel of Palm Harbor, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews. Ethel (Rich) Domingue, 92, of Andover, formerly of Newington, wife of the late Odina L. Domingue passed away Friday (March 25, 2005). Born May 24, 1912, the daughter of the late Clayburn and Lucie (St. Pierre) Rich. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Louis O. Domingue Jr. and wife Sharon Santos of Melbourne, FL; a daughter Georgette Conrad and husband Clyde Jr. of Andover; a sister, Shirley Furbush of Deltona, FL; and two grandchildren, Garland Conrad and wife Doreen and Deanne Bowen and husband John. Ethel also leaves two great grandchildren, Danielle and Chantelle Buckley; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers, three sisters and a step great grandchild Kayleigh Ann Vanbrocklin. Charles Joseph "Duce" Voisin, 87, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 6:50 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2005. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Charles Cemetery in Montegut. He is survived by four sons, Charles Voisin Jr. of Metairie, Eugene Voisin, Carroll Voisin and Alvin Voisin; three daughters, Diana Sutton and husband, Randy, Dorothy Voisin and Shirley Voisin, all of Houma; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marie Scott Voisin; his parents, Leo Voisin and Camellia Henry Voisin; two brothers; and one sister. He was a retired shrimper and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

JONES, Lawrence (Larry) A. It is with deep sadness and grief that Barbara and Marilyn announce the sudden and unexpected passing of their beloved father on Thursday February 17, 2005, while visiting family in Vancouver, British Columbia. During World War II, Larry served in Canada, Iceland, England, Italy and North West Europe. Post war service in the Regular Armed Forces included two tours with NATO in Germany and two separate missions in India, Kashmir and Pakistan serving with the United Nations. Larry was a qualified parachutist and a graduate of the Army Staff College in Kingston, Ontario. He retired from the Canadian Armed Forces ranked as Major L.A. Jones. Larry is predeceased by his first wife, Viola (nee Sloan) and second wife, Joannah (nee O'Donnell). He is survived by his two daughters Barbara and Marilyn, grandsons Kevin and Matthew and loving granddaughter Alexis. Following cremation, a private family memorial will be held. Donald Akerley À sa demeure, le dimanche 27 mars 2005, à l’âge de 80 ans, est décédé Donald Akerley, conjoint de feu Madaline Patricia Cosgrove, domicilié à Saint-Léonard. Né à Saint-Léonard en 1925, il était fils de feu Allen Akerley et de feu Sophie Chassé. M. Akerley était pompier volontaire actif de la brigade d’incendie de Saint-Léonard depuis 65 ans, dont il a été chef de la brigade pendant quelques années. En 2002, il a été reconnu par l’association des chefs de pompiers du Nouveau-Brunswick en le nommant au temple du feu pour ses nombreuses années de dévouement au service de la brigade et de sa communauté. Il était aussi membre de l’association des pompiers du Nord-Ouest du Nouveau-Brunswick et membre du Club d’Âge d’Or de Saint-Léonard. Lucille C. Douville, 86, of Duluth passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Benedictine Health Center, Duluth. She was born in Bemidji, Minn. on Feb. 9, 1919 to Joseph and Nina Berg. Lucille graduated from Bemidji High School in 1937. On Aug. 23, 1941, Lucille married Louis A. Douville. Lucille was a long time member of St. John's Catholic Church in Woodland. She was employed for 23 years at St. Mary's Medical Center. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Louis and brothers Clarence and Carl Berg. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Gene) Lucas; sons, Steven (Patty) Douville and Dale (Rani) Douville of Duluth; grandchildren, Renee (John) Kessler, Robert (Alisa) Lucas, Lori (Randy) Jensen, Theresa (Darrin) Severance, Brian and Joe Douville, Katie and Kevin Douville, eight great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Berg; sister, Edyth Christiansen of Bemidji and several nieces and nephews. CONCORD — Arline Michaud, 76, of Airport Road died Friday, March 25, 2005, at her home. She was born in Manchester, the daughter of Leroy I. and Irene (Hall) Buxton and was a 1945 graduate of Our Lady of Grace Academy in Manchester. Arline worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone from 1947 to 1950. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Concord and loved music, dancing and cookouts with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John R. Michaud of Concord; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sonia Michaud of New Rochelle, N.Y., and David R. and Gloria Michaud of Belmont; two brothers, Clifford and his wife, Wilma Buxton, of Groton, Mass., and Louis and his wife, Sally Buxton, of Manchester; two sisters, Marion Paris of Manchester and Mildred Merrill of Manchester; nine grandchildren, Wayne and his wife Rosa Michaud of Belmont, Thomas and Gary Michaud, both of Belmont, Christopher, Lia, Sarah, Joshua and Emily Michaud, all of New Rochelle; and Andre Santana of New Rochelle; and nieces and nephews. Pillittere, Katherine Comeaux "Kathy" A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to any who have had the pleasure of meeting her, Kathy departed this life at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at 9:07 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2005, after a long battle with diabetes and renal complications. Antoinette D. Couture, 89, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Isidore Couture died Monday, (March 21, 2005) at her home. Born December 19, 1915 in Livermore, ME. She lived in West Hartford before moving to Windsor 20 years ago. Before retiring she was employed by The Travelers and was a member of the Travelers Girls Club. Antoinette was also a member of the First Congregational Church of Windsor. AUBURN— Edmond H. Daniel, 96, of Auburn and formerly of Worcester died on Thursday March 24 in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness. Mr. Daniel is survived by his wife of 75 years Olive (Bergeron) Daniel; two sons Edmond J. Daniel of Auburn, and John H. Daniel of Benton City, WA; a daughter Olive T. Brown of Auburn; 6 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Daniel was born in Webster, MA son of Henry and Sadie (St. Denis) Daniel and is predeceased by 6 brothers and a sister. He lived in Worcester for most of his life before moving to Auburn 15 years ago. Mr. Daniel worked as the foreman of the shipping department for the former Melville Shoe Co. in Worcester for 46 years before retiring in 1973. He enjoyed bingo, and day trips to Foxwoods. Mr. Daniel worked as a volunteer at the Holy name of Jesus Church Bingo and the Pakachoag Village Bingo. He was also very active in the St. Vincent DePaul Society. The funeral will be held on Monday March 28 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. Worcester with a mass at 11 AM in North American Martyrs Church 8 Wyoma Dr. Auburn. She worked for School District 6 in special education until retiring in 1996.She was also a homemaker who enjoyed bowling, reading, traveling, crafts, dancing, crossword puzzles, music and attending all her children's meets, matches, games and performances.
