CHICOPEE - Mary Rose (Falbo) Bouvier, 88, a 25 year resident of this city, passed away Wednesday March 23, 2005. She made her home most recently with Corrie, Jimmy and their three boys. Mary was born August 7, 1916 in Springfield to the late Blaise and Bridget (Langone) Falbo. She was a graduate of the Springfield school system, and worked for 26 years for the United States Postal Service in Springfield. Mary was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Springfield. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Bouvier. She is survived by her beloved children, Judith Young and her husband Chandler of St. Petersburg, FL, Diane Fritz of West Springfield; her brother, Albert Falbo of Hazardville, CT; daughter-in-law Marilyn Bouvier of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children, Kevin Bouvier and Bonnie LaPierre; three brothers and two sisters. Mary's funny personality will be sadly missed by her entire family and all that knew her. The funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8:15 a.m. from the Forastiere-Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow, with the Liturgy of Christian Burial to begin at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. The burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Raymond Ferron, 88, of Brussels died on March 25, 2005. He was born May 20, 1916, in the town of Lincoln to the late Joseph and Philomene (Berger) Ferron. On Feb. 20, 1935, he married Mathilda Jeanquart in Lincoln, she preceded him in death on June 5, 2001.Survivors include three daughters, Carole Frantal, Norridge, Ill.; Florence (Gerald) LuMaye, Brussels; Evelyn Mack, Green Bay; eight grandchilden, Tom Hendren, Berwyn, Ill.; Pat Hendren, Norridge, Ill.; Wendy (Doug) Ulrikson, Forestville; Wanda (Andrew) Shulz, Las Vegas; Sandy (Greg) Krauel, Fla.; Dawn LuMaye, Forestville; Paula Mack, Shiocton; Rose Wilkinson, Seymour; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Gladys Ettien, Viola (Harvey) Bouche, Mayme (George) Englebert.He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, Louis; three sisters, Mary Moens, Louise and Grace Ferron, and a son-in-law, Steve Frantal.Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels. Friends may call on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and at the church on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of service. ROCHESTER — Frances G. "Frankie" "Sis" Guilmette, 61, died March 24, 2005, at Hanover Terrace Healthcare in Hanover, N.H., with cancer.She was born July 11, 1943, in Randolph, the daughter of Maurice J. and Margaret (Easton) Guilmette.She graduated from Rochester High School in 1961 and attended the Jeanne Mance School of Nursing in Burlington.Miss Guilmette was employed by Central Vermont Public Service Corp. in Rutland for several years.She served the town of Rochester for 33 years beginning in 1971 as the assistant town clerk/treasurer and later was elected clerk/treasurer in 1972. She was active in the Vermont Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Association, attaining certified clerk/treasurer in 1995 and being voted "Treasurer of the Year" in 1999.Miss Guilmette was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Rochester and served on the parish council and finance committee. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America serving as treasurer for many years. She was active at Rochester's Park House, not only on the board of trustees and as treasurer, but also acting as chauffeur for the residents, mowing lawns and weeding gardens. Her membership in the White River Players included serving on its board of trustees and acting as backstage props coordinator and assistant stage manager. She served as treasurer for the Rochester Historical Society and was a past member of Moss Glen Grange No. 554, acting also as master. Since 2000, she participated in fund-raising activities associated with finding a breast cancer cure.Miss Guilmette enjoyed Corvettes, golf and tap dancing.Survivors include her brother, Maurice Guilmette Jr. of Lebanon, Conn.; her uncle, Ned Eaton of Philadelphia; and a nephew, niece and several cousins.Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Day Funeral Home on Franklin Street in Randolph.A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Rochester with the Rev. CHICOPEE – Annette Marie (Lacoste) Chartier, 88, died Friday March 25 in a local nursing home. She was born in Springfield November 3, 1916, the daughter of the late Antonio and Gilberte (Bienvenue) Lacoste. She was a life long resident of the Willimansett section of Chicopee and attended local schools. She was a communicant of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and a member of the Society of St. Anne. She was the widow of the late Arthur L. Chartier Sr. She is survived by two sons, Arthur L. Chartier Jr. and his wife Linda, and Robert E. Chartier and his wife Gillian, both of South Hadley, and one daughter, Monique F. Perry and her husband Douglas, of California. She also leaves one sister, France Lacoste of Chicopee. She will be sadly missed by six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Funeral services will be Tuesday March 29 at 9:30am from the Arthur J. Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30am at Nativity Church, both in the Willimansett section of Chicopee. Evelyn Maria Prevost, 96, of N. 75th Ave. West, died Thursday, March 24, 2005 in Lake Haven Manor. She was born on Feb. 13, 1909 in Duluth to Olaf P. and Maria S. (Lindberg) Lundgren. She was a lifelong Duluth resident. Evelyn was a graduate of Denfeld High School and Duluth Business University. She had been employed as a bookkeeper/secretary for F.S. Kelly Furniture for 15 years and Beck's Furniture for over 20 years, retiring in 1967. She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church, Morgan Park Senior Citizens, Evergreen Senior Citizens and the Duluth Duplicate Bridge Club. Evelyn was an avid card player, being especially adept at Bridge. She married Leonard Prevost on Nov. 15, 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard in 1983; brother, Norman Lundgren; and sisters, Sadie LaFrance and Elsie Danz. Groton - Elaine (Lussier) Post, 62, of Groton, died peacefully at her home on March 24, 2005.She was born in Westerly, on July 25, 1942.She is survived by her dedicated husband, Gary Post, whom she married in 1993 and her children, Allen Bruce Church of Groton, Dawn Church of Manchester, and D'Ann Rice and her husband, Shane of Great Lakes, Ill.She was predeceased by her daughter, Christine Church.She is also survived by her siblings, Sister Helen Lussier of Long Island, N.Y., Arthur Lussier of Pawcatuck, Patricia Nugent of Mystic, Leon Lussier of Groton, Marjorie Moore of Westerly, and Donna Crandall of Mystic.She was predeceased by three siblings, Gloria Roberts, Robert Lussier, and Alfred Lussier of Westerly.She enjoyed the company of her grandchildren, Nichole Church, Brittney Church, Joshua Rice, and Gracie Church. Arlene S. SOUVE' ("Face that I look for"). Our loving mother, friend and "grandma" went to be with the Lord on March 18th, while surrounded by her family. Arlene was born in a small town outside of Juneau, Alaska on December 11, 1932 to James Martin and Susie Jack. While raised in Alaska she developed a love for the natural beauty of the land that never did leave her. It was in Alaska that she met her future husband Arthur J. Souve', Jr. They were married in 1962, and they raised three daughters who were the focal point of Arlene's life. She was beautifully encouraging, thoughtful, constantly supportive mother, deeply loved by her daughters. Beside managing a household, Arlene was an avid gardener, devoutly religious, and a completely proud, doting grandmother. In 1982 Arlene earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree from SCCC. A woman of strong moral character, personal dignity, and quiet, inner strength she maintained these traits throughout her last days. Arlene is survived by her husband, Arthur, daughters Cynthia, Kathleen, and Marie, and grandsons Robert Arthur and James Martin. WATERFORD, NY -- M. Theresa Carmel, 78, formerly of Waterford, died peacefully Friday March 25, 2005. She was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Maloney Nash and was educated at St. Brigid's School and Catholic Central High School. Theresa was employed for 36 years at Nashua and Norton Companies and retired in 1986. She was a member of the Norton Retirees, Local 17 of the United Papermakers and Paperwork's Union, Ladies of St. Anne and the Waterford Senior Citizens. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford. Theresa was widow of the late Raymond C. Carmel, who died in 1975. She is the mother of David E. Carmel and his wife Maureen of Cohoes, Raymond R. Carmel and his wife Mary J., C. Terrence Carmel and his wife Mary, Kathleen A. Normandin and her husband Ron, and Alan J. Carmel, all of Waterford. She is the sister of William T. Nash of Loudonville, the late Thomas, Richard, James, John, Edward and Martin Nash. PONTON, DAVID, 59, passed away in his sleep on the morning of 3/24/05 at 12:06 A.M. in Blueridge, Georgia and went to the big fishing pond in the sky. David was a mechanical inspector for Metro-Dade County Building and Zoning since 1992. He owned Ponton Sheet Metal since 1966 and Consolidated Sheet Metal since 1983 and was a master sheet metal mechanic. He was a graduate of Miami Central Senior High class of 1965. David Ponton was a Ford truck man, loved to camp, played softball, coached baseball and softball at Perrine Khoury League from 1987-1997, loved fishing, and was an avid reader, motorcycle rider and Monday night football fan. He was brilliant in math, excellent draftsman and had an incredible memory. He was an excellent father who loved a good game of spitball, basketball, bowling with his kids. David leaves behind his beloved children: Amber, David and Diane; his mother Eugenia; his brothers and sisters: Angelo, Carlos, Martha, Evie, Mary, and Elizabeth, His dog Moxie, Mocha and Angel. Shirley was a graduate of Holyoke High School and was a Nurse Aide at Holyoke Soldiers Home until her retirement. DINSMORE, EUNICE PATRICIA The death of Eunice P. Dinsmore of Fredericton, NB occurred at York Manor Nursing Home on Thursday, March 24th, 2005. Born in Fredericton, NB on February 28th, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Hughes) Dinsmore. Eunice at one time was very active in her church, being a member of both the choir and the CWL at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She is survived by one sister, Katherine Dinsmore of Saint John, NB; nephew Donnie (Monica) Dinsmore along with many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother and father, five sisters, Reta Dinsmore, Mary Dinsmore, Irene Dinsmore, Evelyn O'Connor and Josephine Clarke and four brothers, Leo, Peter, Thomas and Edward. She is survived by Husband J. Ralph Slauenwhite-Eldershaw October 06, 1952 - March 22, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) SLAUENWHITE-ELDERSHAW, Ralph - 52, Dartmouth, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2005, in the VG Site, QEII, after a brave battle with lymphoma. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Ernest Henry Eldershaw and Vivian Jean Dunn. Ralph grew up in various parts of Canada, his father having worked with the Naval Services. He lived for many years of his adult life in Alberta, where he raised and loved his children. Eventually, he moved back to the Maritimes, where he was truly home, with his wife Karen. Ralph was a friendly, loving, and creative man. He would talk to anyone, had compassion for all living things and enjoyed expressing himself through his music and gardening. Ralph started playing guitar in his teens and had been writing music for most of his life. Some of his other interests included photography, history, aircrafts, art deco, research and pursuit of antiques, particularly depression glass. Ralph is missed so incredibly much. Though he was taken from his family too soon in this physical world, we know that he has something important to do somewhere else. He left us with so many good memories and so much of his spirit. Ralph "Dad" is ever present with all of us. We will honour his spirit and live life and love to the fullest. Ralph is survived by his wife, Karen Christine Slaunwhite-Eldershaw; daughters, Daena Kim Eldershaw and Chay Ann Eldershaw; sons, Justin Ernest Eldershaw and Michael Kevin Eldershaw; sisters, Marlyn Lee Houle and Karen Lynn Ferguson (Craig); grandchildren, Tristan and Tyrone.
