CARIBOU - Bernice J. (Levesque) Thibodeau "Gram" passed away Feb. 5, 2005, at Cary Medical Center surrounded by members of her loving family. She was born May 23, 1920, in Connor, North Caribou, the daughter of Praspere and Eugenie (Dubay) Levesque. Early in her life, Mom cared for her ailing mother who passed away in her arms - an event for which she was so grateful and which inspired her to be the best mother she could be. Her children and grandchildren were her most cherished and revered gifts of life. Mom was a self-educated woman with a very strong work ethic; a devout Democrat who loved current events and politics. Mom also enjoyed music and dancing and had a fondness for the comic strips "Dennis the Menace" and "Dagwood". Although Mom worked many long hours to help care for her family, she loved the change of seasons and the fruits they bore. The very first signs of Spring would find Mom out "digging up dandelion greens". Year after year she always enjoyed looking forward to a fresh mess of greens. Next came the search for the best wild strawberry patch so she could pick and pick and make us a strawberry pie. One of her favorite seasons was Fall when she was able to take us out and teach us how to "pick potatoes" and learn the value of hard work and earning a dollar. Treat of all treats was going out to pick hazelnuts in the Fall. She would pick all she could, go home and shuck the nuts and then mail her daughters Elsie and Shirley each a box full of nuts. For the last 20 years Mom enjoyed countless hours being the "Strawboss" at her daughter Dot McDuffie's store - "2nd Hand Rose". There she spent many days selling, chatting and creating new friendships with the many customers she cherished. Here she was continuing a tradition she had started back in the '70s by having a perpetual garage sale and selling items on consignment for other people. Her entrepreneurial skills were way ahead of her time. She is survived by one son, three daughters and respective spouses, Jerry and Janice Thibodeau, Dot McDuffie and husband, Stephen, Elsie Powell and husband, Jack, Shirley Stairs and husband, Robert. Her grandchildren will also miss their Gram, Shaun (and Cindy), Ryan (and Terry), and Stevie (and Lisa) McDuffie, Jayne (Thibodeau) McEwen, Jan (Thibodeau) Robitaille, Jack Austin and Jeffrey Alan Powell, Andrea J. and Sara Anne Stairs. A third generation of children will also miss great-gram, Ethan, Nolan, Riley, Spencer, Joshua and Jordan McDuffie and Sydney Christine and Anais Sophia Powell. Many cherished nieces and nephews will also miss "Ma Taunt". Bernice was predeceased by a beloved twin son, Gary in 1960; and 10 sisters and brothers. Please come join us in honoring our "Momma" and "Gram". Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Caribou with Fr. David Raymond officiating, assisted by Fr. Scott Mower. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Caribou Community Wellness Center, care of Caribou Rec. Department, 59 Bennett Drive, so young and old alike may enjoy a better way of life right here in her home town. Mom's favorite quote was "I'm Not Bossy-I just Have Better Ideas"! She was without a doubt the best mother and grandmother and she will be forever missed! We Love You, mom, and remember, your way of putting crises in perspective by saying "Taint A Murder".

HENRY “HARRY” LAMB Lamb - It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Henry “Harry” Lamb announces his sudden passing on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at the Kirkland & District Hospital at the age of 69. Harry was a longtime resident of Virginiatown and was employed at the Kerr-Addison Mine as a miner from 1958 to 1993. He enjoyed spending time in his shop where he would make “wooden treasures” for his family. Harry was a truly gifted wood worker. He was predeceased by his parents Ivy and Herbert Lamb and brother Alan Lamb all of England. Harry will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife June of 45 years; daughters Wendy Lamb (Bill Dwyer) of Tweed and Virginia (Mike) Prentice of Kirkland Lake and grandchildren Daniel, Alison and Trent. Joyce Betty Cormier 1937 - 2005 SACKVILLE, NB - Joyce B. Cormier, age 67, of Sackville, N.B., passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville, N.B. Born in Sackville, N.B. on July 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Ernest (Bus) and Ina (Leblanc) Ashe. Joyce was an avid bird watcher and loved going out for drives. She was a loving mother and wife and will be sadly missed. Joyce will be sadly missed by her husband, Charles Cormier of Sackville, NB; daughter, Chantal Cormier of Sackville, NB and son- in-law, Stuart Crossman of Sackville, NB. She was predeceased by her father, Ernest and her mother, Ina. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Mr. Daigneau was a retired maintenance supervisor at Naushon Island Trust, Naushon Island, MA. He was also a stationary engineer for many years at Premoid/Strathmore, West Spfld, MA. He was the General Manager for the Daigneau Brothers Home Improvement Co. of Agawam and an Aux. Police Officer in Agawam, MA. Mr. Daigneau was a U.S. Marine Purple Heart veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Nancy C. Milliken Daigneau, Ocala; son, Arthur E. Daigneau, Feeding Hills; daughters, Debra J. Moore and Linda M. Daigneau, both of Ocala; brother, Arthur E. Daigneau, Agawam; sisters, Priscilla Violette and Marie McDonnell, both of West Springfield, MA; four grandchildren and four great-grand-children. Mr. Daigneau was predeceased by his parents, Edward A. Daigneau and Maud Bourdo; and five brothers, Eugene, Wallace, Earl, Albert & Allan. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in June. YORK, Maine — Gloria E. d’Entremont, 82, of Old Post Road, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.She was born in Eliot on Sept. 19, 1922, the daughter of Wolfrett and Myrtle (Hilton) Eldredge and was a 1940 graduate of York High School.Mrs. d’Entremont had many hobbies and interests in life but the center of her attention were her children. She cherished each one dearly. She was a member of the Union Congregational Church of York Beach. She enjoyed stamp collecting, playing bridge and loved animals, especially her beloved three family dogs, Duke, Colby and Trevor.She is survived by two sons, David d’Entremont of York, Gary and his wife Cindy d’Entremont of York; two daughters, Andrea d’Entremont of York, Donna and her husband Douglas Foster of Dover; sister-in-law Arline Eldredge of Sanford, and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all.Graveside services will be held in the spring in First Parish Cemetery, York. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare Society of Kennebunk, P.O. Dorothy was employed as an assembler for 28 years at Milton Bradley Company and retired in 1994. Born in Chicopee on June 25, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Francois J. and Irene (Croteau) Chamberlain. She resided in Springfield for the past 60 years and was a communicant of Holy Cross Church. Dorothy loved to go to Mohegan Sun. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Romeo J. Beaulac who died May 2, 1999. Dorothy is survived by a son, R. Kenneth Beaulac and his wife Sharon of Pittsfield, MA; 2 daughters, Doris F. LaFountain and her husband Alan of Springfield, Ma and Lynn M. MILLBURY— Raymond A. Chevalier, 97, of 36 Prospect Street, died at home, Saturday, February 5. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Cora O. (Bleau) Chevalier; two sons, Raymond A. Chevalier, Jr., of West Boylston, and Ronald E. Chevalier, of Hadley; two daughters, Janet E. Cahill, of Worcester, and Mary Anne Knipe, of Garland, TX; nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. He was born July 26, 1907, in Worcester, a son of the late Alcide and Virginia (Brassard) Chevalier. He moved to Millbury in 1947. He was a graduate of Mount St. Charles Academy, Woonsocket, RI. Mr. Chevalier was a founder and owner of Chevalier and Sons Furniture on Grafton Street, Worcester, since the mid 1930's. He subsequently established Ray's Furniture, in Millbury, and Ray's Wayside Furniture, in West Boylston, prior to retiring in 1980. He had previously operated a service station and tire store on Madison St, Worcester. He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Millbury; The Worcester Harmony Club, the former Millbury Kiwanis Club, was a Corporator of Millbury Savings Bank for twenty years, belonged to Holden Hills Country Club and the Whitinsville Golf Club, and was an avid boater. Helene Elizabeth Giroux Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 30 at the age of 94. A loving mother, she will be remembered by her children, Claudette (Robert) Oberdick and John Giroux; her grandchildren Cheryl (Thomas) Fraser, Carla (Thomas) Pitka, Crystal (Vincent) Freudig, Lori (Troy) Burns and Terry Prater; and her nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Mari Mae Brownell in Escondido, California. Born on December 5, 1910 in West Virginia, her family moved to New Jersey, Florida, and to San Diego, California where she graduated from high school at age sixteen. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed both taking and teaching classes, some at Evergreen Valley College and others at Cypress Senior Center and Salvation Army. At classes and on her daily walks of up to five miles she made many friends. She was well-disciplined, talented, and proudly independent. Millie Giroux O'Dell of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2005. She was born in St. Louis, Mo. and spent the early years of her life in the St. Louis area. She came to Arizona with her family in 1954. After working for Casa Decor Design Studio for four years and as studio manager at Hymans Furniture for three years, she decided to open her own studio. She formed Millie Giroux Interiors, Custom Designs in 1963. Millie's client list was long, including Senator and Mrs. Barry Goldwater; the owner of the Arizona Republic, Mrs. Charles Stauffer; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bimson of Valley National Bank; and many others including John F. Long Homes. Millie is preceded in death by her daughter Susan Carter. She is survived by her husband, Raymond O'Dell, a son Richard Hildebrandt, and a granddaughter, Jessica Carter. Michel, Warren James On Feb. 3, 2005, Warren James Michel departed from this life and is awaiting the Resurrection. MILLBURY— Thomas A. Rochon Sr., 77, passed away Friday, February 4, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He leaves his loving wife of 48 years, Joan A. (Abrams) Rochon; two sons, Thomas A. Rochon Jr. and his wife Marie Rochon of Douglas and Robert W. Rochon and his wife Donna Rochon of Millbury; a brother, Alvah Rochon of Lighthouse Point, FL; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Jessica, Hannah and Kyle; several nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. He is predeceased by a sister Lillian (Rochon) Hull of Providence, RI and a brother Donald B. Rochon of Cranston, RI. He was born in Providence, RI son of Alfred and Edna (Reynolds) Rochon. Mr. Rochon owned and operated with his family for 27 years National Restaurant Equipment Co. and was well known and respected in the Food Service Industry. For the last 7 years, he worked for Quality ChairVan Service of Shrewsbury, MA. Tom was a member of Millbury Federated Church. He was a Past President of Millbury/Oxford Rotary Club, Past President and Life Member of the Harmony Club of Worcester, a Mason and member of the Olive Branch Lodge of Millbury. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and was a private pilot. The funeral will be on Tuesday, February 8 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. Worcester, with a service at 11 AM in Millbury Federated Church, 20 Main Street. Burial will be in West Sutton Cemetery, Sutton. Calling hours are Monday, February 7 from 5 to 8 PM in the Funeral Home. Members of the Harmony Club will perform a ritual at 7PM during the calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.

David Broussard will conduct the services.A native of Ville Platte and a resident of Tee-Mamou, Mr. Vasseur was a cross-country truck driver of 26 years. He served in the Navy and received the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, W/2 Bronze Stars and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a member of the church council. He also loved fishing and hunting.Survivors include his wife, Susan Doucet Vasseur, of Tee-Mamou; four daughters, Rachel Hargrave and her husband, Douglas, of Iota, Robin Lemoine and her husband, Dale, of Tee-Mamou, Amanda Fruge and Alyson Lessard and her husband, Lance, both of Lafayette; his mother, Lois Mae Martin Vasseur Miller, of Tee-Mamou; one brother, Ray Vasseur, of Tee-Mamou; three sisters, Shirley Dunn, of Houston, Texas, Melba Smith, of Tee-Mamou, and Linda Marx, of Iota; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Trent and Trey Hargrave, Zachary, Katlyn and Logan Lemoine, Connor Fruge and Payton Lessard.He was preceded in death by his father, James Vasseur; and one brother, Gilman Vasseur.The family requests visitation be observed from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. today and will continue from 8 a.m. Monday until time of services.A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the funeral home.Pallbearers will be Matthew Walker, Joel Blansett, Jonathan Doucet, Jason Doucet, Steven Marx and Quinton Marx.Arrangements have been entrusted to Matthews and Son Funeral Home of Jennings, 337-824-4420.

Olive Guptill Savard -- Jan. 25, 1919 - Feb. 2, 2005 -- CORNISH - Olive Savard passed peacefully from this life at the Fryeburg Health Care Center on Feb. 2, 2005. She had reached her 86th birthday a few days earlier.Olive Marguerite Guptill was born in West Baldwin on Jan. 25, 1919. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mabel Sawyer Guptill and William F. Guptill, and five brothers and sisters: Roland Guptill of West Baldwin; Lloyd Guptill, killed in action in the Philippines during World War II; Robert Guptill of West Baldwin; Evelyn Guptill Brooks of Kennebunkport; and Dorothy Guptill, also of West Baldwin.Olive Guptill, the youngest member of her birth family, was born next to the 'Old Depot' in a house built by her grandfather, Charles Samuel Guptill, a section supervisor for the Maine Central Railroad. She was raised on the Guptill Farm in West Baldwin in one of the town's oldest dwellings, a farmhouse built in the early 1800's. She received her elementary education at the Pigeon Brook School, and graduated from Potter Academy in Sebago.Following her graduation, she gained employment at the Jackson Falls House, a summer resort hotel in Jackson, N.H., where she met her future husband. On Nov. 27, 1937, Olive Guptill was married to Maurice H. Savard at Our Lady of the Mountains Church in North Conway, N.H. During their 67 years of marital devotion, the couple lived and raised their family in New Hampshire, Maine, Arizona, and California, finally returning to Maine during their later years to become the proprietors of Cornish Antiques, one of the first of the many antique shops now operating in Cornish.Olive Savard is survived by her husband, Maurice; a brother-in-law, Paul Savard of Presque Isle; five children, Lorna Savard Glendening of Cornish and Tucson, Ariz., Maurice Ian Savard of Burbank, Calif., Rodney Savard of Bellevue, Wash., Stephen Savard of Denniston, Ky., Susan Olive Savard of Cornish; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchild- ren; and a multitude of other relatives and family friends.Olive Guptill Savard-wife, mother, grandmother, dear friend, and gentle, loving soul-will live forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She spent many quiet hours reading and contemplating her Bible, and was a gifted musician who played both classical music and popular standards while seated at the semi-circular keyboard of the black walnut electronic theater organ hand-built for her by her husband. The residents of Cornish will remember her customary afternoon walks-usually a few steps ahead of her husband.Memorial services honoring her long and loving life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, at the York Funeral Chapel in Cornish.
