Stewart C. Marshall FAWCETT HILL, NB - Stewart Charles Marshall , 49, of Fawcett Hill passed away Wednesday January 28, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital following a sudden illness. Born in Salisbury he was a son of Margaret (Haines) Marshall and the late Alfred Marshall. Stewart was a self employed finish carpenter who enjoyed the outdoors, time spent with friends at the camp and following the nascar races. Survived by his mother Margaret of Salisbury, his wife Marlene (Goddard); daughters, Katie Lynn Marshall of Wheaton Settlement, Kelsey Leigh Marshall of Banff AB; brothers, Robert (Rhoda) of Dartmouth, Donald (Patricia) of Boundary Creek, John (Glenna) of Salisbury and William of Riverview. Surviving also are his mother and father-in-law Henrietta and Heber Goddard of Intervale; a very special friend, Gerry Colborne of Salisbury and several nieces and nephews. By personal request there will be no visitation or funeral. If so desired memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. Robert (Bob) Burke Robert (Bob) A. Burke, 80, of Moncton, passed away suddenly at the Moncton Hospital, Tuesday January 27, 2004. Born in Truro, NS, son of the Late Edward and Arletta (Bishop) Burke. Bob served overseas in World War II with the RCA, was retired from CNR as a production foreman with over 40 years service. Member of Lewisville United Baptist Church, CN Pensioners, Prince Albert Lodge # 26 IOOF, Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6. Bob will be sadly missed by his son Gordon (Lise), Dieppe; several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his wife Fern (McBurney), December 1996; several brothers and sisters. Hugh C. Granger KINGSTON, ON - WWII Veteran R.C.A.F Granger, Hugh C., originally from Moncton, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2004 in Kingston, On. Beloved brother of Doug and Rita, Hugh earned "Distinguished Flying Cross" 1939-1945, Aircrew Europe Star & Clasp, Africa Star & Clasp, Defense Medal, War Medal C.V.S.M & Clasp, Operational Wings & Bar, Pilot's Flying Badge. Hugh was member of clubs; Beausejour Curling, Lakeside Golf, 31 Club, Air Force Veteran, 253 Wing, Sargents Mess, No 6 Canadian Legion. Member of Saint-Augustine Catholic Church. After the war, Hugh flew commercial from New York to California, and was manager of Beneficial Finance Co. POIRIER, Bryan (1990-2005) - It is with profound sadness that the family announces his accidental death at the age of 15 years on Thursday, January 27, 2005. Cherished son of Conrad Poirier (deceased January 2004) and Marian Poirier (née Maurice). Dearly loved brother of Laura of Cache Bay. Also left to mourn his loss are his dear grandparents, Ollie Maurice and Aurel Brassard of Cache Bay and Marcel and Jeannine Poirier of Sturgeon Falls. Bryan will be sadly missed and never forgotten by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. He was a Grade 9 student at École secondaire Northern Secondary School in Sturgeon Falls where he will fondly remembered. Lucille Anne McRae June 13, 1944 - October 07, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Evergreen Funeral Home On October 7, 2004 Mrs. Lucille McRae of Edmonton passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long arduous battle with cancer at the age of 60 years. Lucille leaves many behind to celebrate her life. She is survived by her loving husband Thomas McRae and her 3 children; Correne McRae of Calgary, Keith McRae and his wife Pamela of Calgary, and Graeme McRae and his wife Danielle and1 grandson of Penticton. She also leaves behind 3 sisters and 1 brother. Beatrice and Gary Tabler of Sherwood Park, Rita and Don Degenhardt of Spruce Grove, Marcia and Dallas Degenhart of Edgerton and Roger and Karen Sonntag of Calgary. Many thanks to Lucille’s caregivers, especially her family doctor Dr. Paul Marner. We are also grateful to all the staff at the Cross Cancer Institute who have given much support and care in Lucille’s battle over the last decade; most especially over the last 2 weeks. Lucille would know and understand this level of compassion from her own work as a nurse with the Glenrose Hospital for so many years. The care and compassion shown by all these people as well as the countless family and friends who have given so much support. A special thanks to those family members and friends who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in providing so much compassion and comfort for our Lucille. DAIGLE, Joyce (nee Montgomery). Peacefully, on January 23, 2005 at her daughter's home in Toronto with her husband of sixty-four years, Fernand (Babe) by her side. She was the loving mother of Gail Mann (Perry Safioles), Linda (Claude Boutet), Susan (Tony Pearce), Wendy (Russel Zinn), Brent Aka Rick (Noella Groulx, April 2004) and fun loving grandmother to Carol, David, Steven, Carl, Tara, Derren, Paige, Meara, Lucas, Kelly-Anne and Tricia. Seven great grandchildren had the opportunity of meeting her. She is survived by her dear sister, Lois Duckett and predeceased by her parents, Aimee Amanda Crate and Ralph William Montgomery and brothers Bill, John and Frank. Many nieces and nephews as well will join with family and friends in mourning the loss of a generous spirit who left a positive footprint on all our hearts. Beloved wife of the late Francis Harold Hodgson, loving mother of Kathryn Jill (Marcel Heyligen). Cherished grandmother of Timothy, Jennifer and Melissa. Betty graduated from the Toronto Conservatory of Music and passed on her love of music to many students in Toronto, Montreal and Bedford. Julie (Juliette) Marie LeBlanc 1941 - 2005 A determined woman who courageously endured a lengthy battle with cancer peacefully slipped away, with family at her side, at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, January 28, 2005. During her year-long struggle, Julie Marie LeBlanc (nee Leger) met each new day with courage, a wonderful sense of humour, and much love for so many people whose lives she touched. Julie's marriage to husband Ferdinand (Ferdie) LeBlanc brought nearly 46 years of extraordinary mutual commitment. They were inseparable in this world. It is this strength of character, and unmatched dedication that her four children, nine grandchildren and countless others will forever remember. Always keen to be the organizer for neighborhood and family events, Julie also worked as an Avon lady, and was employed nineteen years at the Environment Canada Water Quality Branch. Into retirement, Julie drew on her talents and work ethic to create and sell crafts, and to be involved in the community with the Moncton Wildcats Booster Club. Julie and Ferdie spent much of the warmer months at the cottage they built, hosting family and friends for frequent lobster feasts. Her four children, George LeBlanc (Alicia), Shediac, Andy LeBlanc (Micheline), Dartmouth, Suzanne Richardson (Paul), Charlottetown, and Mike LeBlanc (Lise), Quispamsis, are the proud parents of Julie's nine grandchildren, Joffre, Andree-Michelle, Danielle, Melissa, Justin, Julia, Chantal, James and Laura. Her seven brothers and sisters, Aline Siritsky (Michel), Montreal, Annette Fairweather, Petitcodiac, Ron Leger (Karen), Toronto, Gerry Leger (Carolyn), Ottawa, Angela Wilson (Doug), Moncton, Val Leger (Ruth), St. Lambert, and Louise Boulter (Robert), Moncton, will miss their sister Julie. Aunt Julie is also survived by dozens of nieces and nephews, including Mary Ann Keith, who selflessly helped Ferdie care for Julie on a daily basis for so many months. The family is also grateful for the comfort provided by the staff of The Moncton Hospital during Julie's illness. Julie was predeceased by her parents Marie (Caissie) and Gerard Leger. She will be sadly missed by her surviving sisters-in-law, Virginia Nye, Phyllis Nye and Maureen Nye, as well as her nieces and nephews. WHITESIDE (Cathrine), Betty A. On January 3, 2005 Betty Whiteside of Edmonton, Alberta passed away at the age of 77 years with a brave battle with cancer. Betty will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her daughter Jodi (Lou) Ekkebus and grandchildren Jessica and Joshua of Leduc, Alberta. Also Jane Whiteside and grandchildren Evelyn, Melanie and William of Delta, B.C. Also will be missed by her sister's Florence Iverson,Alice Wynnyk, and Thelma Cameron and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. WIGHTON, May (nee Rose) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a wonderful mother and grandmother on Monday, January 24, 2005 at Hotel Dieu Hospital with her family by her side. Reunited with her beloved husband, William Wighton (1964). May will be forever missed by her daughters Jean Guilbeault and husband Denis, and Elaine Peltier and husband Larry, and very special grandaughter Rachel May Guilbeault. May proudly worked at and retired from Chrysler Canada, and was a member of CAW Local 1498. May enjoyed tending to her outdoor gardens and trees.
