CHEVRIER, Blanche Sophie (nee Meunier) Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in Pontiac Reception Centre on Friday, January 28th, 2005. Blanche Sophie Meunier Chevrier, in her 85th year. Daughter of the late Leger Meunier and Priscilla Martineau. Beloved wife of the late Hormidas Chevrier. Raymond Sidney Gibbs, 76, of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Cornwall Road, Shediac passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at the Villa Providence, Shediac. Born May 20, 1928 in Saint John, N.B., Ray was the son of the late Robson and Bessie (Tower) Gibbs. He was a great spirit and lived life to his fullest ability right until the end. Ray was a totally present husband and father and family and friends remember fondly all the years of camping, travelling, living abroad, his musical prowess and gift for storytelling. A school teacher, Raymond taught French for 26 years and students will remember his home movies of France and his bellowing of La Maseillaise. Burnell (Bob) Vincent Dore -- Born February 27, 1921, died January 24, 2005. Born in Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada to Anton and Luella Dore. Bob attended University of British Columbia then served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II for four years. He returned to UBC and received his Masters in Mathematics and Physics. He met the love of his life, Barbara McKenzie, in Victoria, B.C. and they married in 1948. Bob and Barbara moved to Montreal where Bob received his Masters in Electronic Engineering from McGill University in 1956. They moved to Sunnyvale, California in 1957 where Bob worked with Sylvania and Stanford Research Institute as an electrical engineer. He also received his MBA from Santa Clara University. In 1970 Bob and his family moved to Tucson and he had an electronics business and later was the proud owner of Choate's Hardware for 14 years. Bob had been an active member of The Gardeners of Tucson, SCORE and Christ Presbyterian Church. He touched the lives of many people with his countless volunteer hours a the Tucson Food Bank and the Arizona Children's Association. Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara; son, Robert Dore; daughters, Sharyn Dale (Carl), Heather Page (David), Bonnie Dorri (Shahab) and his grandchildren, Wendy, Laura, Justin, Amanda and Alyssa. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6565 E. Broadway on Sunday, January 30, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Christ Presbyterian Memorial Fund.

Rae I. Rush Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully on Saturday, January 22, three days before her eighty-second birthday, and surrounded by family, Rae passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. She was predeceased by her husband, Mervyn in 1971; and her grandson Sean in 1974. Rae leaves to mourn, her daughters Lea (David) Little, Becky (Dave) Henry, Bonnie (Pierre) Glawson; and son Bud. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Chris (Nathalie), Greg (Helen), Tracy (Simon), Sheri (Dave), Charlene, Donn, Paul (Myrna), Keith; and three great-grandchildren, Lauren, Alexa and Brooke. Rae is also survived by her sisters Beryl Boyd of Rainy River and Dorothy Spalding of Miniota. Rae was born and raised in Gladstone but spent most of her adult life in Winnipeg. Although family was the center of her life, Rae had a particular love of music and possessed a lovely singing voice. She was a music teacher for a number of years as well as a choir leader. The family finds comfort in knowing that she is at rest and at peace with our Dad. We wish to thank the staff of six west Deer Lodge Centre for their kindness and understanding. In accordance with Mother's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service held with interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. WEAVER, Donald Nelson Chief Warrant Officer Retired (Logistic) At home on Friday January 21, 2005 at the age of 58 years. Mr. Weaver had 35 years of career in the army. He went on many UN tours. He was very dedicated to his career and family. Donald was the son of the late Edward Alfred Weaver and the late Pearl Agnes Stanley. Loving husband of Constance Mathe (Connie). OBITUARY CONSTANTIN TECTONIDIS 1930 - 2005 Mr. Tectonidis passed away at the age of seventy-four years in Montreal on Wednesday, January 27, 2005. Born in Cairo, Egypt in 1930 to a Greek family having fled Asia Minor. He arrived in Canada in 1948 to study engineering at the University of Toronto where he met and married Yvonne Kiris of Florina, Greece in May 1953, the year of his graduation. They became Canadian citizens and moved to Saguenay region of Quebec in 1954 where Mr. Tectonidis worked for the Alcan Aluminum Company until 1976 before being transfered to their head office until his retirement in 1992. He leaves to behind many friends and family including his son Milton, who sadly mourns the loss of his good father, a simple man of courage and wisdom, one of the slowly disappearing, liberal-minded, post war generation who believed so strongly in both freedom AND social justice. Resting at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, 1750 Notre Dame (corner of 18th Avenue) in Lachine (www.urgelbourgie.com) on Sunday, January 30 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. He will be buried beside his wife and son Byron in Toronto. FALL RIVER -- Brian C. Landry, 34, of North Dartmouth died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Joanne (Raposo) Landry. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Maurice and Laurette (St. Laurent) Landry of North Dartmouth. He lived in Dartmouth for most of his life. Mr. Landry was a pipefitter for 15 years for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 51 in Rhode Island. He was an avid hunter and salt-water angler. He was a parishioner of St. George Church in Westport, where he was a catechism teacher and worked for the Youth Group on their retreats. Survivors include his widow; his parents; a son, Shawn C. Landry; three brothers, David Landry of Fall River, Kevin Landry of North Dartmouth and Marc Landry of Bolivar, Penn; and a nephew. His funeral service will be at 8 a.m. Monday from Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St. His funeral Mass will follow at 9 in St. George Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery

OSTERVILLE - Lloyd J. Cyr, 83, died yesterday at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Wilma H. (Westcot) Cyr. Mr. Cyr was raised and educated in Franklin, Vt. He attended the University of Connecticut and later moved to Massachusetts. He was a longtime employee of Raytheon, where he worked as a draftsman. He retired in the mid-1980s. He lived in Hudson from 1943 until 1985, when he moved to Osterville. Mr. Cyr was an active member of Hudson First Methodist Church and United Methodist Church of Osterville, as well as the Hudson Masonic Lodge. He was an avid bowler and golfer, a member of Osterville Men's Club and Newcomers' Club, a Meals on Wheels volunteer and a handicapped parking enforcement volunteer for the town of Barnstable. Survivors include two sons, Ronald D. Cyr of Kinston, N.C., and James M. Cyr of Scotch Plains, N.J.; a daughter, Linda C. Still of Hyannisport; two brothers, Robert and Philip Cyr, both of Vermont; a sister, Dorothy Crane of Vermont; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Marstons Mills. Homestead, Fla. and Tupper Lake — Alma Lyden, age 88, of Homestead, Fla., and Tupper Lake, N.Y., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at the Homestead Hospital, with her family by her side.Alma is survived by five daughters, Carolyn Lemon and her husband James of Lake Placid, Fla., Chalice Dechene of Tupper Lake, N.Y., Jeanne Schauble of Hilton, N.Y., Janet Shearin-Gauthier of Homestead, Fla., and Teresa Gauthier of Willsboro, N.Y., and her companion Joan Sloper; also 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her sister-in-law, Bertha LaRouche of Tupper Lake, N.Y.She was predeceased by the father of her children, Hubert Gauthier, who passed away in 1985; and by a brother, Vernon Blair.Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Richer Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. Alma's funeral will commence on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. from the funeral home and 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., Utica, N.Y.

FALL RIVER -- Dorothy A. Gagne, 82, of Fall River died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Raymond C. Gagne. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Frank J. and Alice (Turgeon) Girard, she was a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Gagne had been a seamstress for Kravif Manufacturing Co. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Parish for many years. She was a member of the Local 178, a past member of the ladies guild and choir and a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 486. Survivors include two sons, Gerard Gagne and David Gagne, both of Fall River; a daughter, Jacqueline England of Sandwich; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Dawn Marie Gagne and the great-grandmother of the late Ashley England. Her funeral service was private. Arrangement were by Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway.

SPRINGFIELD - Eleanor M. (Jefferson) Leveillee, 95, formerly of Irene St., passed away Thursday, Jan. 27th, in a local nursing home. Born in Springfield, she was a life long resident. Eleanor was a Teacher, beginning her career at Commerce High School, later teaching in the Longmeadow School System at Glenbrook and Williams Middle School for many years. Eleanor was a Communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Springfield and a member of the Hampden County Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member of the Advocacy Network, Inc., formerly known as Belchertown Friends Association. Eleanor was the wife of the late Clarence G. Leveillee who died in 1993. She is survived by her three children, Paul J. of Woodbridge, IL; John C. of Scotia, NY, and Claire Leveillee of West Springfield; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Besides her husband she was also predeceased by her two sons, Alan in 1998 and Neal in 2003 and her three sisters, Mildred, Marion, and Ruth. Her funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Hafey Springfield Chapels, 494 Belmont Ave., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Church. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home. FALL RIVER -- Charlotte F. (Letendre) Studniarz, 81, of Fall River died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center. She was the widow of Joseph Studniarz. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Charles and Bernadette (Larriviere) Letendre, she was a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Studniarz was a machine operator at Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Parish since 1981. Survivors include a niece, Marguerite Steele of Fall River; a nephew, Vincent Letendre of Assonet; and a stepson, Joseph Studniarz Jr. of Middletown, Ohio. She was the sister of the late Vincent and Jean B. Letendre. Her funeral service will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow from Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 in St. Michael's Church. Burial will be private.

Rose M. (Oakes) Lavesque, 94, of Bristol, widow of Alyre Chasse, Maxime Pelletier and Louis Lavesque, died on Wednesday, (January 26, 2005) at Bristol Hospital. Mrs. Lavesque was born on April 5, 1910 in Fort Kent, ME and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mellesa (Ouellette) Oakes. She resided mostly in Limestone, ME before moving to Bristol in 1958 and worked for most of her life as a chef at various restaurants. She was a member of St. Gregory Church, Bristol. Mrs. Lavesque is survived by a son, Clarence Pelletier of Bristol; a granddaughter, Bridgette Owen of Harleysville, PA; a great-granddaughter, Brianna Owen; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Norman and Richard Chasse, a sister, Laura Daigle, and a brother, Roland Oakes. POMPANO Beach, Fla. - Wilfred H. "Fred" Paquette, a former Lowell resident and Tyngsboro native, died Friday, Nov. 19, after a long illness. He was 42.He was born in Tyngsboro on Nov. 14, 1962, son of Robert J. Paquette Sr. and Janice (Hamlin) Paquette, who died Nov. 16, 1977. He attended Tyngsboro schools. He lived in Lowell prior to moving to Pompano Beach 14 years ago, Mr. Paquette worked as an auto technician in Pompano Beach.Besides his father, he is survived by three children, Thomas, Nickolas and Emily, all residing in Rhode Island; three sisters and their spouses, Diane Paquette and Dan Provost of Manchester, N.H., Annette and Gary Moore of Fort Walton Beach, and Pamela Woodward of Daytona Beach; two brothers, Robert Paquette Jr. and his wife Janice of Pompano Beach, and Kevin Paquette and wife Mary of Navarre; a stepmother, Ann Paquette of Pompano Beach., and a grandchild, who lives in Rhode Island. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Mr. Paquette was also the brother-in-law of the late David Woodward, husband of Pamela. Grandmother of Lauren Landwerlin of Tulsa, OK, and several nieces and nephews. She was especially close to JoAnn Schmidt and Jeannette Binder. She will be missed and loved forever by her only child, Carolyn Landwerlin. A native of and a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She was a retired employee after 50 years of service at Vogue Dress Shop on Dryades St. She was "a fixture in the store" as she used to say. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral.
