La famille reçoit les condoléances le vendredi 14 novembre 2003 de 19 h à 22 h, le samedi 15 novembre 2003 à compter de 9 h à la Résidence Funéraire Lac St-Jean 611, chemin du Pont Taché Nord Alma Les funérailles auront lieu le samedi 15 novembre 2003, à 11 h, à l’église Saint-Sacrement d’Alma. On Tuesday, November 11th, 2003, peacefully surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Bernie Berlin. Adored mother of Josie Finestone and Mark Berlin, and mother-in-law of Dr. David Finestone. Lovingly remembered by Blair Coomber. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Leila and Herb Paperman and sister-in-law of Cyril and David Berlin. Also survived by wonderful nephews and nieces Joseph and Heather, Laurence and Bonnie, Ross and Selena Paperman, and many great nephews and nieces, cousins and incredible friends. We are imêmeasurably enriched by having known and loved her. Anne-du-Ruisseau, Yarmouth Co., he was a son of the late Lawrence and Julia (Muise) Thibeau. He was a retired laborer. Surviving are brothers, George (Leona), Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau; John (Dora), Red Deer, Alta.; Arthur, Paul, both living in the United States; sisters, Gracie LeFave, Hubbards Point; Margaret White, the United States; sisters, Carolyne (Martin) McNamara, Forest Glen; Alice Romaine (Vic Bain), Sambro; Jeanette (Victor) Giles, Dartmouth. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Louise (Thibodeau) Thibeau; his common-law wife, Vi Murray; brother, Joseph Thibeau. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, with prayers at 8 p.m. in H.M. It's with sadness we announce the passing of our mother on November 11, 2003, peacefully at her home in Cardinal. She was born on May 8, 1915 in Spencerville, Ontario to Christine and Thomas F. Gilmoure. Predeceased by her husband Frank, son Peter, sisters Thelma and Dorothy, brother James and by many dear friends through the years. She is survived by her son Edwin and his wife Rita and daughter Katherine and her husband Findlay Gibbons, grandchildren Peter, Adrienne, Phillip and Christopher and several nieces and nephews. Gladys was a graduate of the Kingston General Hospital School of Nursing Class of '37 and went on to be the Head Night Supervisor of the Hospital. Later she was involved with the Women's Auxillary at the Brockville General Hospital. Her special interests were gardening and painting. We would like to thank all the friend and caregivers who were always there for her especially, Noreen, Linda, Reggie, Lou Ann, Marion, Ann, Cheryl, Annette, Amy and Marg. GAINES, HORACE VICTOR Victor Gaines, age 91, died November 11, 2003 at the W. G. Bishop Nursing Home, Minto, NB. Born in Aroostook, NB he was the son of the late Charles and Myrtle (Dunn) Gaines. Victor is survived by his wife Glenna (Harris); daughter Harriet Rutledge (Glen) of Fredericton; son, Leonard Gaines (Gerene) of Fredericton; grandsons, William and Michael Gaines and Andrew and Matthew Rutledge; his sister, Alice Laughlin of St. Stephen and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Chellis and Charles and sister, Dorothy Grant. Victor operated a garage and store in Aroostook for many years. Later, he worked for the Maine-NB Electric Power Co. at Tinker, NB. Glenna and Victor later moved to New Maryland, NB. Victor was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed many hobbies and traveled widely. He was admired for his helpfulness and great patience. He had been a member of the Faith Baptist Church in New Maryland. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 15th, 2003 at 2:00 pm, with burial at a later date in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Andover, NB. SAMSON, George Andrew Fulbert-80. Passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2003. Born in Petit de Grat, he was a son of the late Andrew and Cecile (Boudreau) Samson. He was an independent businessman of 43 years, a plumber, electrician and sheet-metal craftsman. In his heart he believed in the concept of two official languages French and English and dedicated his life to this cause. He was a Municipal Councillor for 12 years. As councillor, he was a key player in finding a new buyer for the local fish plant, Richmond Fisheries, which ensured its survival. He was equally responsible for the installation of a water and sewer system in Petit de Grat. He was selected to be a special delegate at the 1977 Convention on "Constitutional Change" held at York University entitled "Destiny Canada". He held this experience close to his heart. He was a Canadian at heart, very proud of his Acadian heritage and culture and dedicated much of his life to preserving it. He was a provincial representative for Richmond County for a period of nine years with the Federation of Acadians of Nova Scotia. He received an award from the Nova Scotia Acadian Federation of Richmond County. He was an effective catalyst in the construction of a 15 unit senior citizen complex. He served as trustee on the school board for six years and fought for elected school board members. He played a key role and was instrumental in establishing public and private telephone services on Isle Madame. He was a long-standing member of the hospital board in Isle Madame in the County of Richmond. He was a hard working man, loving husband and father. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his best friend and wife, Clara May (LeBlanc) Samson; his children, Blair (Patricia), Andre (Lorna), both of Petit de Grat; Darrell (Faye), Fall River; Edgar (Laurie), Jacinta (Art), both of Petit de Grat; Georgette (Vaughan), Arichat. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Daniel, Justin, Robert, Andrea, Gilles, Nakita, Lee, Chantal, Janelle, Joel, Renee, Michelle, Miguel and Mychaela; sister, Isabelle (Gerard) Theriault, Arichat; brothers, Lubin (Marie Louise), Petit de Grat; Dr. Herman (Madeleine), Louisiana. He was predeceased by brothers, Wilfred, Louis and Cletus; sisters, Leola and Elizabeth. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in IML Funeral Home, Petit de Grat. Funeral mass 2:30 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Church, Petit de Grat, Rev. Remi Tremblay officiating. Burial will be in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat. Memorial donations may be made to Terry Fox Cancer Society for Cancer Research.

Gilles Lupien, fille de feu Oscar Lavergne et de feu Laurette Blanchette, demeurant à Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel. Heures d'accueil : vendredi de 19 h à 22 h, samedi, jour des funérailles, la famille se rendra directement à l'église. Les funérailles auront lieu le samedi 15 novembre, à 14 h, en l'église de Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel. Par la suite, l'inhumation aura lieu au cimetière de Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Elle laisse dans le deuil, outre son époux, Gilles Lupien; ses enfants chéris : Yannick Lupien (12 ans) et Francis Lupien (9 ans); ses beaux-parents : Raymond Lupien et Jeannine Gaudet; son beau-frère, Yvon Lupien (Diane Aubry); également, les familles Gaudet et Lupien, ainsi que la famille de Willie Lavergne; aussi Gilles Boucher (Estelle Lachance), Diane Petitclerc (feu Gérard Hébert), l'Abbé Clovis Trépanier, Carole Chevalier, Lison Dion, Andrée B.
