CASTONGUAY, Louise Regina, SK- CASTONGUAY--On Friday,February 21, 2003 Louise Castonguay, late of Regina, Sask.,passed away peacefully. She was predeceased by her parents Alice and Ralph Rathke. Louise will be sadly missed by her beloved husband and best friend of 38 years, Clare Castonguay; sons Kent (Penn) of Victoria and Murray (Erin) of Vancouver; brother Charles (Adele) Rathke; mother-in-law Mildred Lubbers; sister-in-law Rosemary (Bob) McBride; niece Marilyn (Blake) Jefferies and nephew Brent McBride and great niece Michala Jefferies; niece and nephew Michelle (Brent) Holhoyi, Candace (Kerry) Rathke and their mother Irene Rathke and great Nephew Brady as well as many other special relatives and wonderful friends. She is also survived by her extended family; mother, sisters and numerous other relatives that she came to know and love during the last ten years. Louise was a 20-year breast cancer survivor and was of great encouragement to many. The Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. in Christ The King R.C. Church, 3239 Garnet Street, Regina, SK, with Rev. Tonny Dizy, celebrant. The Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at 7:30 P.M. in the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK. The family wishes to express special appreciation to Dr. Rayson and the Palliative Care staff, and a heartfelt thank you to the many special friends and family who reached out to Louise during this most difficult time. LeBLANC, Kathleen Edith "Kay"-80, formerly of Moncton, passed away February 21, 2003, at home, in the presence of her family, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, January 26, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Violet (Benner) Morrell. Kay, as she was known to her family and friends was a member of St. Andrew's Church, Eastern Passage and formerly St. Augustine's Church, Moncton. A soft spoken and cheerful homebody, Mom was an avid reader, bingo fan and loved her game shows. She shall be fondly remembered for her homemade pea soup, bread and pumpkin pie. She loved her cup of tea. Over the past several years, Mom suffered from several illnesses and complaints were very rare. Beloved wife of the late Alyre Joseph LeBlanc (October 15, 1977); loving mother of Colleen, Halifax; Connie Conte, son-in-law, Frank, Eastern Passage. Kay was predeceased by four sisters and was the last surviving member of her imêmediate family. We are grateful to have been present for her 80th birthday on January 26th with relatives coming in from Moncton. She truly enjoyed her favorite meal, lobster and oysters for her birthday dinner. Visitation has taken place. The funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. today in St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Peter McKee officiating. The family will be accepting visitors at 10 a.m. until the time of departure for the funeral mass. A small reception in the church hall will be held following the mass. DUGAS, Arsene Exilda-82, West Pubnico, passed away February 21, 2003, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in West Pubnico, in 1920, she was a daughter of the late Mary (Dugas) and Maximilien d'Entremont. She was predeceased by her husband, Nelson; sister, Carmelita (Theodore) Amirault. She is survived by her only daughter, Donna Morton; brother, Felix, both at home; loving grandchildren, Melanie (Jonathan) Surette, Lower West Pubnico; Matthew (Melinda) Morton, Lower Argyle. Grandmère leaves behind her two precious great-grandchildren, Shannon Lydia (age six and a half) and Alicea Rosalie (age two and a half), who she absolutely loved and adored. Arsene was a homemaker, living in Malden, Mass. for 19 years, then moving back to Nova Scotia, where she spent the rest of her years watching over her family with loving eyes. She was her happiest talking to people, going on bus tours, dancing and enjoying life to the fullest. Grandmère Arsene will be deeply and sadly missed by everyone who knew this wonderful lady.
