Donna Jean Morrison Donna Jean Morrison, 69, of Aspen House in Fort Frances, Ont., went to be with our Lord on Friday, Jan. 25, 2002 with her family at her side. She was born Feb. 11, 1932 in Spooner Village, Mn. Mrs. Morrison immigrated to Canada in 1953 and had lived in the area since then. She enjoyed playing Bingo, cooking, and entertaining, and was a regular at the Bonnie Blue. Most of all, though, her family and friends were very important to her. Donna is survived by four daughters, Linda (Lyle) Snider of Fort Frances, Carlene (Charles) Steiner of Dryden, Louise Morrison (Mike Furlong) of Fort Frances, and Sheri (Hernan) Burgos of Bradford; and one step-son, Leonard Morrison of Morson. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Chris, Ron, Tim, Allen, Ryan, Jennifer, Carla (Brad), Kelly, Jeff (Leanna), Josh, Thomas, and Natalia; six great-grandchildren, Brandon, Bailey, Madison, Daw-son, McKayla, and Kaitlyn; one brother, Larry (Pat) Strom of Colorado; one sister, Marilyn (Joe) Palermo of Florida; step-brother-in-law, Joseph Big George; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was united in marriage Aug. 13, 1953 to Thomas Morrison, who predeceased her in 1975. She also was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Iola Strom; brother, Dale Strom; and step-daughters, Sarah Big George, Edith Jack, Mary Indian, and Marie Tuesday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home. Pastor Ken Johnson will officiate, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances. Friends may visit Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Josh Morrison, Jeff Morrison, Allen Morrison, Chris Snider, Tim Snider, Ryan Steiner, and Ron Snider. Margaret Frederickson January 28, 2002 Margaret Frederickson (nee Vold) passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus in her 80th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Fred Frederickson (1994); loving mother of Jo Ann and her husband, Richard Collins of Milton, and Erik and his wife, Christine, of Hanover; and dear grandma to Matthew, Ross, Kaitlyn, Myelle, Johannes, Dexter, and Odin. She also is survived by her sister, Alice Haugland. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Graham A. Doug was formerly Chief of Staff at the Ottawa General Hospital and Riverside Hospital, and practiced medicine at the Charles Camsell Hospital in Edmonton and in Kumasi, Ghana. Of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2002, at the age of seventy-nine years. He was born in Poland. Edward is survived by daughter Alicja, son Ted, son-in-law Marvin Kwitko, daughter-in-law Brenda Zakrzewski and grandchildren Lara and Adam Kwitko and Lynn and Jill Zakrzewski. He was predeceased by his brothers Zbigniew, Tadeusz, Jerzy and his parents, Leokadja and Feliks. During WWII, he served since 1940 in France, U.K. and Italy with the Polish Armed Forces (in exile) as a Captain Pilot. He was awarded French, British and Polish decorations and was honorably discharged in 1948. Edward worked for 38 years as a mechanical designer with several Consulting Engineering Firms in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Montreal and Calgary. Many thanks to Dr. Man Chiu Poon and nurses at the Tom Baker Cancer Day Clinic for their dedication and care. She will be sadly missed by her children; Alban (Carmen Petit), Genest (Verla Fitzgerald), Huguette, Rose-Helene (Damien Lalonde), Jean-Guy (Terry Stansel), Michel (Mariette Genest) and her sister Noella Grandbois and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Family will meet friends and family at a religious service at a later date.
