Daughter of Dr. Leonard and Margery d'Easum, passed away quietly in her 75th year in the presence of family at her home in Victoria BC on 4 May 2001. Born in Ocean Falls, Edlin grew up in Atlin and New Westminster, BC. A graduate of Duke of Connaught High School, she attended Victoria College, UBC and Vancouver General Hospital en route to earning her RN and Bsc in the late 1940s. Married to Glen in 1950, she embarked on the nomadic lifestyle of the Naval wife and mother which variously took her from coast to coast in Canada, and away to the UK and USA during her long and stellar "career." Edlin was a gentle leader who loved, and was loved, by all whom she met on her journey. Not the least of her followers were her loving children Christopher, Hilary (Earthy), Tony and Gregory who, with their families, benefited most from Edlin's sense of humour, wisdom, generosity and patience. The deRosenroll and Earthy families would like to thank their many friends and relatives whose thoughtful support in recent weeks has meant so much and to acknowledge the skill and sensitivity displayed by the Hospice and PRT staff during Edlin's courageous final battle. A memorial service to celebrate Edlin's life will be held on 8 May 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, 1701 Elgin Street, Victoria. A reception for family and friends will follow at the Naden Wardroom, near the entrance to HMC Dockyard Esquimalt, commencing at 3:30 p.m. Donations to the Vancouver Island Cancer Centre or the Victoria Hospice Society would be appreciated very much. She passed away peacefully in Vancouver at her daughters' side on Friday morning, May 4, 2001 in her seventy-seventh year. Dearest Momsie to her son Richard (Barrhaven, Ottawa) and her daughters Anna (Burnaby, Vancouver) and Stephanie Croome (Nanaimo, B.C.) and Sweet Sister to her twin, Audrey Dyszlewski "the older one" (St. Augustine, Florida). She leaves her love and fond memories to you, the many friends and colleagues who graced her home or life in any way. After a brief illness, April 19, 2001 in St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Houston, Texas, at the age of fifty-eight. Ken was the first of six children born to the late Donald Alexis and Eleanor Elizabeth (Somerville) Aitken of Rosemere, Quebec. Ken is survived by his beloved daughters, Debbie (Dave) Clasen of Chicago, and Heather Wilson of Philadelphia. Also, brothers Doug and Paul (Wendy) and sister Marilyn (David) of Montreal, brother Donald (Debra) of San Diego, Calif., and Peter (Anna) of Sydney, Australia. Ken was also an uncle to many nephews and nieces. Ken received his BSc. in Geology from Loyola of Montreal, a Ph.D in Minerology and Petrology from Penn State University, and went on to be one of the early "moon rock" specialists with NASA in Houston. Ken was an avid scuba diver and pursued a special interest in underwater photography. Having worked for three major oil companies and IBM, Ken was, more recently, a computer instructor and Internet consultant. A funeral service was held on April 23, 2001 in Houston. Died peacefully April 28, 2001 in the QEII Hospital, Halifax, Nova Scotia, at the age of 86, with his family by his side. Born in Greenfield, Ontario, he was the son of the late Alexander K. ("AK") MacDonald and Agnes MacDonald. John served overseas as a Flying Officer in the 2nd World War and was employed for 30 years by Texaco Canada at their Montreal refinery, until his retirement as plant foremen in 1978. Following his retirement, John lived in Victoria, Vancouver, Mississauga and since 1985 in Bedford, N.S. John will be fondly remembered for his strength of character and unwavering devotion to family. He had a special ability to put all situations in perspective through his insightful use of anecdotes, stories, wit and good humour. He will be sadly missed by his daughters Colleen (Dave) Berridge, Bedford, N.S., Donna MacDonald, Toronto, Ont., and Heather MacDonald (Bob Patient), Mississauga, Ont., by his sisters Margaret Roblin and Bernice McDonald, both of Ottawa, Ont. and granddaughters Laura Berridge and Allison Berridge, of Bedford, N.S.; sister-in-law Jean Steward (Bob Marentette), Glen Roy, Ont., and several nieces and nephews. À l’hôpital Laval, le 2 mai 2001, à l’âge de 68 ans, est décédé M. Aimé Côté, époux de Dame Nicole Bernier. Il demeurait à Charlesbourg. Selon ses volontés il a été confié au Parc Commémoratif La Souvenance La famille recevra les condoléances au funérarium Lépine-Cloutier ltée 6450,Henri-Bourassa Charlesbourg samedi de 10h30 à 14h30. Le service religieux sera célébré le samedi 5 mai 2001 à 15h en l’église du Bon Pasteur (385, Jean XXIII, Charlesbourg). Ses cendres seront déposées ultérieurement au Parc Commémoratif La Souvenance.
