Originaire de St-Thomas de Montmagny, madame Richard demeurait à Québec, arr. Beauport. Selon ses volontés, madame Richard ne sera pas exposée. Les funérailles seront célébrées, en présence du corps, le jeudi 25 juin 2009 à 11h en l'église de Notre-Dame de l'Espérance (chemin du Petit-Village), arr. Beauport, où la famille vous accueillera à compter de 10h30. Le corps sera par la suite porté en terre au cimetière St-Charles. BREEN, Adrienne Anne Peacefully passed away at Granite Ridge on Sunday, June 21st in her 89th year. Adrienne was predeceased by her parents, Rudolph and Catherine Caron and her beloved husband Sylvester (Baldy). She is survived by her loving children Diane Harris (Don), Lynn and Gary (Linda Paradis) all of Ottawa. She was the kind and generous grandmother to David Harris (Claire) in Milton, Ont, Dan Harris (Pam) of Victoria, BC and Michelle, Christopher and Robert Breen of Ottawa and the Great-grandmother of Neil and Shawn Harris. Dear sister of Maurice Caron (Ruby) of Ottawa and Joanne Torpey (Henry) of Peabody, Mass. Also fondly remembered by Bill Harris and family and Gordon Breen (Jill) and many nieces and nephews. WILLIAMS, Thomas Mayhew (Tom Williams) July 3, 1934 - June 19, 2009 After a short battle with cancer, and having said his good-byes to his family, Tom left us too early but in peace on June 19th. Wonderful friend and husband of 50 years to Susan (Sue) Brewer Williams. Proud father of Baxter (Lynn Marchildon) of Ottawa, Owen (Rebecca Morris) of Rossland, B.C., and Trevor of Toronto. Grandfather to Oona Lily, Everest, Owen and Madeleine. Born and raised in Montreal, Tom was the son of the late R. Lyman and Elizabeth Morrill Williams. His brother Murray predeceased him. Tom's training as a chartered accountant provided a basis for his careers as a consultant, a financial officer in a number of organizations, and as an entrepreneur. Tom always made time to remain socially engaged, acting as treasurer to many charitable and nonprofit organizations. This was a legacy of his mother and father's commitment to community involvement. His restless energy supported many talents and interests. Tom was a passionate skier and golfer; the first twitch of pain from the cancer that would soon kill him was initially thought to be the result of a ski injury this spring. He and Sue were faithful patrons of many local arts organizations, where he also found a role serving as volunteer treasurer to a number of them. Tom's strength of character, particularly his unwavering devotion to his wife, will continue to serve as a positive example for his three sons. He had a mixture of insight, integrity and charm that endeared him to many people. While Tom was widely respected, he could also appreciate an amusing anecdote told at his expense. He will be deeply missed by his family and his many friends. A celebration of Tom's life will be held at the First Unitarian Congregation at 30 Cleary Ave. on Friday, June 26 at 3 p.m. The family will greet guests before the service. OBITUARY JOHN ROBERT VICTOR FAIR Suddenly, but peacefully, in hospital, Perth, on Saturday, June 20, 2009, in his ninety-second year. Victor Fair, dear son of the late Andrew and Emma Fair (nee Miller). Cherished husband of the late Marcella Mildred Fair (nee Kirby). Sadly missed by his niece Rosemary (Bill) Fair, of Perth. Victor was a wonderful great uncle to Garth (Stefania) Fair of Orangeville, Rae (Lee) Pacheco of Bolton, Peter (Alison) Callard of London, Robert (Donna) Callard of Montreal, and Susan (Ken) Jacobi of Paris, Ontario. Victor was also predeceased by three brothers; Richard, William and Ernest, and two sisters; Annie and Ottie, a nephew, William Irving Fair, and a niece, Joanne Callard. MOORE, Maureen (nee Dillon) After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Maureen Catherine Moore passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Leo (Buddy), sister Lauraine Ryan and brother David (Susan) and brother-in-law Kevin (Happy). She was a proud and loving aunt to Kevin, Sheryl, Tracey, Claire, Alison and Erin and great-aunt to Calum, Shawn, Emma, Elsa and Freja. She will also be missed by her Aunt Nellie, cousins and many friends. She was a dedicated math teacher at Lasalle Catholic and Queen of Angels Academy. She was an accomplished artist and she loved her garden. Maureen will always be remembered for her selfless dedication to her family and friends. Visitation at J.J. BASSO , Ada (nee Civitarese) April 3, 1932 - June 20, 2009 Ada (nee Civitarese), beloved wife of Pietro of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the age of 77 years. Ada was born in San Leonardo, Chieti, Italy on April 3, 1932. Ada immigrated to Canada in 1959. She met her husband Pietro Basso and they married in 1962. Throughout her life, Ada took great pride in her talented ability as a seamstress. Her work with furs and the design of clothing brought compliments from many. Ada loved to cook, especially for her family and friends and was the center of many memorable family gatherings. She loved her family with the greatest enthusiasm, always giving and always cheerful. Besides her loving husband Pietro, Ada is also survived by her daughter Emily; son-in-law Rob; grandsons, Marcus and Matteo; and her sisters, Regina (Giuseppe) Izzo, Ersilia (Dolfino) Sichirollo; and many nieces and nephews and their families in Calgary and Italy. BROOKS , Elaine December 5, 1953 - June 19, 2009 Elaine was born in Toronto, Ontario on December 5, 1953 and passed away at Foothills Hospital on June 19, 2009 in her 56th year. She came to Calgary to pursue her career of working with people with special needs, a vocation started as a young teen working at Camp Tillicum near North Bay, ON. While in Calgary she became involved in the Child Abuse Survivor Monument Project contributing her own quilt square. She will be remembered for her love of all children, her beautiful hair and her thoughts of all others before herself. Elaine is lovingly remembered by her children Erica and Jesse and her special companions Domina and Tia; her mother Deanna White, her sisters Wendy (Gerry) St. Denis, Cheryl (Eric) Lamon, Vikki (Kevin) Brown and chosen sister Janet (Paul) Currie and brother Ian (Kim) White and her children by choice, Azren, Rasica, Sonja, Yoan and Emily. JAWORSKI , John Mitchel August 19, 1946 - June 18, 2009 John succumbed to a short battle with cancer on June 18, 2009 at the age of 62 years. FIFE, Lillian Marguerite - With family at her side at Riverview Gardens, Chatham, on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, Lillian Marguerite Fife, age 84 of Chatham, wife of the late Samuel (1965). Born in Stellarton, Nova Scotia on July 19, 1924. She was daughter of the late Florence and Frederick Myers. She will be sadly missed by her loving children, Oswald (Anne), and Judy Anne Mills (Barry) of St. Catharines, Gary of London, Mike and partner Cindy Glover and Mark of Chatham, grandchildren, Jason, Brandon, Lisa, Andrea, Darren, Lee Marie, Jarrid, Breanna, and Tanner and a great- grandson Nathaniel. She is predeceased by a son Frederick (2008), 2 sisters, Fredda Sarsons and Audrey Vaskalowskas and a brother Reginald Myers. Lillian was a veteran of W.W.II serving 4 years for her county while stationed in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was also a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion and St. Andrew's United Church. At her request she was taken from the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham to be cremated. A private Memorial Service will be conducted in The Hinnegan-Peseski Chapel, on Saturday, June 27, 2009 and the burial of ashes will follow in the family plot at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
