HAMILTON, Andrew Gerald May 19, 1940 - March 16, 2009 Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his beloved wife, Elizabeth, and cherished children, Katherine and Thomas. Andy will also be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his sisters, Susan (Marc Phaneuf) and Anne (Michael Hawker), his aunt, Germaine Warren, his uncle, Harold Hamilton, and by many other family members and friends who were blessed to have had Andy in their lives. A memorial service was held on March 21, 2009, in Canmore, Alberta. A private gathering to celebrate Andy's life will be held in Montreal on April 5, 2009. RELF, William Joseph "Bill” - On March 15, 2009 Bill Relf of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the age of 85 years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Lillian of 59 years, two children; Percy and Sharon (Dave) Walker, five grandchildren; Ian, Heather, Samantha, Dennis and Karl, and one great grandson Austin. He will also be missed by his twin sister Mary Williams, as well as their many friends over the years. Bill was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Laurie, his two brothers and one sister. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 2:00p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. ADDIS, Harold Phillip - Passed away suddenly at his home in Barrie, Sunday, March 22, 2009 in his 64th year. Beloved partner of Judy Carla Buffy, dear father of Travis Robert Addis of Barrie and loving parent to Tanya (Buffy) Oliver of Chilliwack, BC and Jodie (Buffy) Wardrope of Barrie. He is survived by his sisters Trudy McKnight of St. George, ON and Arlene Desilets of Niagara Falls; and brothers Ernie of Welland and Fred of Orillia. He was predeceased by his first wife Norma (Marleau); his parents Ernest Harold Addis of Walkerton, ON and Frances Mary (Cheeseman) Addis of St. John's, Newfoundland; and his brother Robert David Addis of Welland. Harry was a walking auto parts encyclopedia and a veteran of swap-meets and flea markets on both sides of the border. He kept strict daily office hours at Tim Horton's / Essa Road and never lost his faith that there actually might be fish in Lake Simcoe. He delighted in his grandchildren Jesse, Hailey, Dexter and Danali and was a relentless pesterer of all his nieces and nephews earning him the name of ‘Uncle Bug'. He spoke to everyone and made friends easily. Never one to say goodbye it was either ‘see ya' or ‘gotta go'. Gone too soon, he will be greatly missed. MANCUSO, Luigia (nee Canino) - In her 69th year, after a courageous battle with cancer, she succumbed on March 25, 2009. Born June 11, 1940 in Sorbo S. Basile, Catanzaro, Italy. Devoted wife of over 50 years to Filippo. Mother of Dr. Tony Mancuso (Debby), Josephine Bozzo (Joe) and Rosa Mancuso. Beloved nonna to Sarah, Derek, Caitlin and Matthew Mancuso, and Andrew, Daniella and Robert Bozzo. Predeceased by her parents Arturo and Carmella Canino, brother Giuseppe and sister Grazia. She leaves sisters Rosa, Dora and Maria, and brothers Antonio and Rosario, all of Italy. She will be greatly missed by sister-in-law Carmella Bruno and brothers-in-law Domenic Mancuso (Mary) and Giacomo Mancuso (Raeffelina), of Niagara Falls, Angelina Benedetto and Alberto Mancuso of Italy. She will be deeply missed by all her many nephews and nieces. She immigrated from Italy in 1966 to Niagara Falls where she remained a lifelong resident. The family wishes to thank Drs. WU, Dr. William - March 17, 2009 passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on March 17, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dr. Wu is survived by his loving wife Dr. Grace Chen, his brother Lawrence, four children Alex, Andre, Chris and Steven and four grandchildren Michaela, Torin, Briseis and Emmett. Dr. Wu lovingly served the community and practiced pediatrics at the University of Alberta, Royal Alexandra and Sturgeon General Hospitals over the last 30 years. He completed his Pediatrics Residency at the UofA Hospital in 1970, went on for further training at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Boston, completed a fellowship in Neonatology in 1972 and fulfilled his American Board of Pediatrics in 1977. He attained further training in herbs and acupuncture at the Shanghai Chinese Medical School. He also researched, lectured and wrote about the best of western and eastern medical philosophies. He will always be remembered by his many relatives, colleagues, friends and patients for his kindness, genuine compassion, strong work ethic and openness to sharing his extensive knowledge and wisdom. His joys in life were his family, his studies and his practice. When he relaxed he enjoyed ballroom dancing with his loving wife and listening to his classical music. His Life Philosophy: “I cannot avoid growing old, but I’d never want to grow up as I would like to envision my world through the eyes of a child.” A private family gathering will take place at a later date as per his wishes. She was an adherant of the Middleton United Church, Middle Musquodoboit, a member of the South Unit of the U.C.W. and the Ladies Aid. She loved to travel, sew, bake, and she enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Dorsie was a loving, giving person to all her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all those who loved and knew her. SEARLE, Jack March 23, 1923 - March 24, 2009 With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Jack, husband, father, uncle and grandfather. After a brief illness, surrounded by his family, he is finally at peace. He will be forever remembered by Peggy, his loving wife of fifty-nine years, and his children, Suzanne (John Hoogstraten), Hart (Brenda), Paul, Matthew (Pierre Villeneuve), and his grandchildren, Rachael Hoogstraten Searle, Michael and Andrea Searle, Miriam, Esther and Jonathan Searle. Jack was the most kind and considerate man. Jack possessed a wonderful sense of humor and a keen interest in classical music, hockey and curling, as well as sailing and barbecuing during the summer at Gimli, Man. He was born in Hamilton, Ont., and lived most of his life in Winnipeg, Man. Jack spent many years in the furniture industry as first a manager with a manufacturer and later as a partner in Sawhill Furniture. Jack was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Riva Sirulnikoff, sister Zelda Walsh and brothers Lewis Searle and Harry Sirulnikoff. He is survived by sisters-in-law, Bobbi Searle, Cynthia Coop and Sally Bookbinder. Born in Swansea, Wales, he lived in Canada and traveled widely in the United States. He had an incredible knowledge of world history. He was an expert in aircraft mechanics and was well known in the motorcycle racing circle. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and colleagues. BERGERON, Noëlla - 1932-2009 À l'hôpital St-Sacrement, le 18 mars 2009, à l'âge de 76 ans, est décédée madame Noëlla Bergeron, fille de feu madame Cécile Blanchette et de feu monsieur Alphonse Bergeron. Elle demeurait à Québec et autrefois à Grondines. Un service religieux sera célébré le samedi, 28 mars à 14h en l'église de Grondines où la famille recevra les condoléances une heure avant la cérémonie.
