WILSON, Donald - of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Thursday, October 2, 2008, in his 54th year. Don was born in Goderich and worked as a security guard at the Hanover Slots. He owned and trained standard bred horses. Survived by his loving wife Donna (Scarborough) Wilson, cherished children James Wilson and Amy-Rose Wilson, all of Hanover. Also survived by his mother Doris (Cooke) Wilson of Huron Park, brother Jamie (Chris) Wilson of Huron Park, sister Carnie (Rick) DeBlock of London and father-in-law Jim Scarborough of Hanover. Predeceased by his father Gerald Wilson and mother-in-law Rosie Scarborough. Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Saturday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service was held on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 2 pm, at Grace United Church, Hanover. Rev. Greg Jenkins officiated. Interment in Hanover Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Lambertus, Gregg McNair, Robert Scarborough, Tony Lawrence, Tim Hawkins and Bob Kreller. Honourary pallbearers were E.J. Scarborough and Brian Lightfoot. Beloved son of Rodger and Theresa (O'Hara) Filsinger. Loving brother of Lawrence, Rebekah and Thomas, all at home. Cherished grandson of Patrick and Rosemary O’Hara of Chepstow, Robert and Audrey Filsinger of Neustadt. Dear nephew of Michael of Dearborn, Michigan, Deborah Filsinger of Walkerton, Gail Filsinger and Mike Zelobowski of Kitchener, Katherine and George Johnstone of Neustadt, Ronald and Jennifer Filsinger of Owen Sound. Joseph will be missed by his cousins Jeremie, Amanda, Alicia, William, Mark and Jessica as well as many great aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation was held at Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton, on Wednesday from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm, with parish prayers at 8:45 pm and Knights of Columbus Squires Rosary at 9 pm. Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 11 am at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Rev. John Van Hees officiated. Interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow. Pallbearers were Mike O'Hara, Mike Zelobowski, George Johnstone, Ron Filsinger, Jeremie Johnstone and Will Filsinger. Flower bearers were Amanda Johnstone, Alicia Spires, Jessica Zelobowski, Mark Filsinger, Lawrence, Rebekah and Thomas Filsinger. POSTMA, Alison Alison passed away at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 after a brave journey with Diffuse Intrinstic Pontine Glioma (Brain Stem Cancer). Alison was born on November 13, 2002 and lived in Waterloo. She is a loving daughter of Keri and Al Postma, and sister to Nathan and Jessica. She will be forever remembered by her Nana and Papa Glen and Cheryl Wearne, Grandma and Grandpa Fred and Alice Postma, aunts, uncles and 12 cousins. Alison was a Grade 1 student at Cedarbrae Public School in Waterloo. She loved playing outside, swimming, ringette, Disney and playing with her friends, especially Cousin Lauren. Her contagious smile, constant happiness and brave spirit have taught all who know her so much. Special thanks to very close friends Rob, Lorrie, Mitchell and Danielle Harvey and John and Betty Galbraith who always provided us with whatever we needed during our crisis. We are deeply thankful to the many community organizations, businesses and individuals that dedicated their time and money in the form of fund raisers, gifts, words of support and prayers. Sadie May Robitaille (née Faulkner) died of natural causes at the Northview Nursing Home in Englehart Thursday, September 25. Mrs. Robitaille was born in Kelso, Ontario May 26, 1918 to William and Eva Faulkner. She married Joseph A. Robitaille in Toronto in December of 1952. She was educated in various communities in Northern Ontario as her father was a track foreman for the O. N. R. . She worked as a switchboard operator in Cochrane followed by spending years as a housewife. Mrs. Robitaille then opened Sadie’s Lunch Bar in Englehart in 1963. Sadie’s Drive-In later was constructed ensuring that Mrs. Robitaille’s name went on into the mid-1990s. Mrs. Robitaille was predeceased by her husband in 1990, her brother Ralph as well as her parents. She is survived by her sister Bernice Wilton of North Bay, her son Richard (Liz) Robitaille of Englehart, her grandson Kurt Robitaille of Englehart as well as two great-grandchildren. Né le 7 novembre 1926 à Cormier Village, il était fils de feu Charlie Boleyn et de feu Amanda Robichaud. M Boleyn était un agent de correction avec le Service Correctionnel du Canada au Pénitencier de Dorchester pendant 25 ans avant sa retraite. Sa passion était de passer du temps à La Ferme des Frères Duguay et assister le Coup de Cheval Regional avec son ami Norbert. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Élizabeth (Duguay) Boleyn, deux enfants: Charleen Burke (Brian) du Portage et Donnie (Micheline) de bas Cap-Pelé; une soeur Yolande Landry de Riverview, quatre petits-enfants: Jessica, Sarah, Jeremy et Marc; trois nièces spéciales: Lorna Rose, Donna et Jocelyne, ainsi que plusieurs amis. Sa soeur Iota Carrol l'a précédée dans la tombe. La famille recevra parents et amis à compter de 14h, le mercredi 15 octobre au Funérarium Frenette, 2642, chemin Acadie à Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Les funérailles auront lieu en l'église Ste-Thérèse d'Avila de Cap-Pelé, le jeudi 16 octobre 2008, à 11h. L'inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. The death of Mr. Allan Joseph Kelly, husband of the late Leontine (Doiron) Kelly, occurred Wednesday October 1, 2008, at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 105. Born in Point Sapin NB, he was the son of the late William & Judith (McDiarmid) Kelly. He was a member of St Mary's Roman Catholic, Church, Newcastle, a past member of K.O.C., Newcastle. A long time member of the Old Folk Song Festival, he attended since 1958, he participated in the church choir of Beaverbrook for many years. Allan was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Allan is survived by two sons, Roger of Chatham ON, Clarence of Miramichi; and a special son, Joseph of Calgary Alberta; four daughters, Bertha (Gilbert) Brideau of Chatham ON, Irma (James) McNamara of Miramichi NB, Germaine Smith of Lower Newcastle NB, Theresa (Israel) Holmes of Miramichi; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He has seen the 5th generation five times. Besides his parents and his wife, Allan was predeceased by three sons, Martin, Clarence and Edgar; two daughters, Theresa and Mabel; eight brothers, John, Jim, Tom, Fred, Eli, Edmund, Desie and Dan; three sisters, Denise, Sarah and Jane. Mr. Allan Joseph Kelly rested at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, with visitation on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 and Sunday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, October 6, 2008, at 11 a.m. from St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Stanislas Paulin officiating. Organist was Mary Butler. Hymns wee "Here I Am Lord", "Ma Maison, ta Maison", "O Mother Saint Anne", "Songs of the Angels" and "Amazing Grace" Burial followed in the church cemetery.
