Ronald Taylor MacDonald 1941-2008 Ronald Taylor MacDonald, 67, of Hopewell Hill passed away peacefully on July 23, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Ronald was born in Chatham, N.B. on April 6, 1941 the son of the late MacKenzie and Catherine (Taylor) MacDonald. Ron worked as a bus driver in Toronto for the TTC until his retirement in August of 1993. He enjoyed sports and was a big fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Blue Jays and the New England Patriots, of course this was if they were winning. Above all things the most important to him was being a great husband and dad. He was always there when needed and he cherished times spent with his family. There are many good memories and he will never be forgotten. "When a loved one becomes a memory. A memory becomes a treasure. Treasure the memories." He will be deeply missed by his loving wife and best friend of 28 years, Susan; his daughters, Cathy and Leanne; his sons, Chris, Ronnie Jr., and Jamie; his four grandchildren; brothers, Warren (Doris) and Stephen; sisters, Enid Boudreau (Paul) and Wilma LeBlanc (Noel); mother-in-law, Irene McKeown; and by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by an infant sister, Roberta. Honoring Ron's own wishes there will be no visitaion or funeral service. Interment will be in the Hopewell Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations to the IWK Children's Hospital in his memory would be greatly appreciated by the family. SPINNEY, ROBERT EDWARD On July 27, 2008 Robert Edward Spinney of Lincoln passed away at the age of 58. Born in Woodstock, NB he was a son of the late Robert and Louise (Dougherty) Spinney. Bob was employed as a carpenter by trade. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty"; children, Shane of Fredericton, Ellen (Dale) Bishop of Noonan; two grandchildren, Calista and Rebecca Bishop; two brothers, Hudson Spinney (Patty) of Fredericton, Gordon Williams (Eva) of Renfrew, ON; five sisters, Sandra Bradstreet of Bath, NB, Bonita Carpenter (Raymond) of Fredericton, Joan Yemen (Doug) of Sackville, NS, Vida MacLean (Doug) of Ottawa; Elaine Hoyt (Fred) of Fredericton; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by an infant son; four sisters, Doreen, Linda, Marguerite and Arlene; one brother, Charles. The family will receive friends at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Wednesday July 30, 2008 from 7 to 9 pm. A graveside interment will be held on Thursday July 31, 2008 at 11:30 am in the Kirkland Cemetery. FOX, DAVID ROBERT It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of David R. Fox of Lower Queensbury, NB who passed away suddenly July 26, 2008 at Lower Queensbury as the result of an all terrain vehicle accident. Born at Fredericton on July 9, 1953, David was the son of Elissa (Morehouse) Fox and the late Robert B. Fox. He had been employed at Wood Motors for the past twenty seven years as the body shop foreman. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. David is survived by his wife of 35 years, Susan (Brown) Fox; two daughters, Angie Phillips (Kevin) and Krissy Sharp (Jeremy), both of Upper Kingsclear, NB; his mother of Lower Queensbury; four grandchildren, Kelsey and Megan Phillips and Sydney and Carson Sharp who were Grampie/Bampie's pride and joy; two sisters, Beverly Lovell (Keith) and Mary McCabe (Joey), both of Keswick Ridge, NB; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his father on May 16, 2006. Visiting hours will be held at the Mactaquac Baptist Church, 1494 Route 105, Mactaquac on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the church on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Lic. Chad Fletcher officiating, assisted by Rev. Jonathan McKay. Interment will be in Mactaquac Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church. PALMER, Verna May Ramsay The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, July 26, 2008, of Verna May Ramsay Palmer (nee MacFadyen) of Borden-Carleton and formerly of Freeland, P.E.I., aged 94 years. Verna was born on June 8, 1914, in Victoria West, P.E.I., to her late parents, James J. and Beatrice E. (nee Ramsay) MacFadyen. Beloved wife of the late Harold Lloyd Palmer. Loving mother of Elaine Verna Palmer of Borden and Lloyd Harold (Sheila) Palmer of Sydney Mines, N.S. Also lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren, Laurel (Perry) Palmer Thompson, John David Palmer (Kendra Noonan), Chris Palmer, Kendra (Stephen) Gaudet and Grant (Lynn) Palmer, along with her five great-grandchildren and her foster-children Karen Lynn Stewart and Danny McAleer. Survived by her sister Clarissa Ward of Richmond. PETERS, Olive Agnes Peacefully at the Colville Manor in Souris on Friday, July 25, 2008, of Olive Peters, formerly of St Charles, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Earl Peters. Loving mother of Freda (Claude) Creamer, Delores Paquet, Terry Peters, Wayne (Mary) Peters, Donna (Danny) Sheehan, Sherry (Robin) McGuigan, Wanda (John) Scott. Survived and sadly missed by 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, brother Gordon Gallant, sister Mary Elva MacDonald. Predeceased by brother Dan Gallant, son-in-law Eric Paquet and grandson Alvin Paquet. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home, Souris, for visiting hours on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral. BOLAND, Lawrence “Larry” Duncan 2008-07-28 With great sadness the family announces the passing of Lawrence “Larry” Duncan Boland at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Friday, July 25, 2008 with his loving family at his side. Born on September 20, 1951 in Port Arthur, Larry was a life long resident of the city. On August 25, 1973 he married Christine Burridge and together they shared 35 years raising their two children Dennis and Jolene. He was a devoted husband, loving father and “grandpa softie” to his granddaughter Savannah. Larry worked very hard throughout all his life helping family and friends to build their houses and camps. In March 2005 he left his employment at Kilred Winding Industries due to illness. Larry spent many happy times during summers with his “Best Buddy”, Al Hayward and their families at camp fishing and working on “their projects” and every Autumn he looked forward to his hunting trips with “the boys”. Larry also loved to go ice fishing in the Spring and “spin tales” with his brothers-in-law Ken Bliss and Aarno Vesa. In recent years, he also shared his wife’s interest in gardening and was especially proud of his small vegetable patch. Larry is survived by his loving wife Chris, son Dennis, granddaughter Savannah, daughter Jolene (Paula) MacDonald-Boland; mother Mary “Evelyn” Boland: sisters Beth Shea, Mary Ellen (Vern) Besler, Janice (Ken) Bliss, Cathy (Aarno) Vesa, sister-in-law Mary Boland and her husband Renato Morson; mother-in-law Jean (Ferd) Lautsch. He is also survived by many sisters and bothers-in-law and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives. Larry was predeceased by his father Frank (1965), brother Bryan (1988) and father-in law Bruce Burridge (2004). Funeral services for the late Larry Boland will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday July 30th, 2008 in the Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 Cumberland Street North. A private family interment will be held at a later date. If friends so wish, donations made to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Larry’s memory would be greatly appreciated.

GRAHAM, Susan Gay Susan Gay Graham (nee Luft) of Fort McMurray, left us to sing with the angels July 24, 2008 after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 47 years. Susan, the daughter of Margaret Youngs and the late Frederick Luft of Didsbury, will be sadly missed by her loving husband Bruce and her son Jayden of Fort McMurray along with her devoted sisters, Diana Luft of Elko, BC, Deborah (Gerald) Kenney of Millarville, Kathy (Don) McNeil of Didsbury, Laurie (Ron) Wik of Airdrie, Sherri (Randy) Lewis of Balzac, Donna (Dale) Gartner of Ponoka and caring stepfather Neil Youngs. She also leaves behind inspired aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and many beloved friends. Susan was predeceased by her father Frederick Luft in 1975 and brother Robert Luft in 1987. Always brave in the face of challenges, Susan was a living example, for all who knew her, of the power of faith, hope and courage.
