JONES, Bernice - Peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 25th, 2007. Bernice Jones of Trenton in her 78th year. Beloved wife of Garnet Jones. Loving mother of Debra Fleming and her husband James and Steven Jones, all of Trenton; Scott Jones and his wife Sandra of Cardiff. Outre son conjoint, Victor Brochu de Québec, elle laisse dans le deuil trois soeurs: Noëlla, Raymonde et Gisèle (Valmond Fournier) de Pointe-Verte; deux frères: Yvan (Marie Bissonnette) de Saint-Rédempteur et Léger de Pointe-Verte, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Une soeur et trois frères l’ont précédée dans la tombe. Les funérailles auront lieu à Québec, le samedi 29 décembre 2007.

Lloyd was born in Scotsiding, NB on July 19, 1930, son of the late Archie and Gertrude Dow. Lloyd is survived by his children, Barb, Bob, Doug, Neil, Murray, Debbie, Dianna; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his wife Evelyn; son, Reginald; and a daughter, Janet. PARFITT, ALICE- Alice Parfitt of Carlton Kirk Lodge passed away on December 26, 2007. She was born in Ontario and was the daughter of the late John and Daisey May (Walpool) Snelling and Husband of Dalton "Buster" Parfitt. Alice worked for Barber's Tea, Birks and Smith's Grocery. She was a member of the Waterloo Street Baptist Church, now known as the Cornerstone Baptist Church, and belonged to many Senior Citizen Clubs. In addition to her husband, Dalton Parfitt, she is survived by one son, Peter Parfitt of Saint John; one daughter, Diana (Fred) Bustard of Halifax; one sister, Violet Snelling of Ontario; two grandchildren, Terrance McKee (Colleen) and Christopher McKee (Alona); four great grandchildren, Katherine McKee and Matthew McKee, Vincent McKee and Samuel McKee as well as several nieces and nephews. Also survived by special friends, James McKee and his wife Laura. BOYCE, PHYLLIS MAY - Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at home. Born in Saint John on November 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Scott and Villah (Graham) Urquhart. Phyllis and her late husband Bill were the first couple to be married at South Bay United Church on September 15, 1951. She worked for Joseph Likely Construction for a number of years, leaving to raise her six children. Phyllis then worked for Marquis and Faloon, retiring from Patterson Palmer after many years as a legal secretary. She was active in the U.C.W. (Mary Neal Unit) of Carleton - Kirk United Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and loved her cat Sam. She is survived by sons, William Douglas, St. John's, Newfoundland, David Alan, Toronto, Gilbert Peter (Mary), Bayswater, N.B., Chris Scott, Toronto; daughters, Barbara Lynn (Bruce) McGee, Trenton, Ontario, Beth Boyce (Gary Collins), Oakville, Ontario; sister, Rose Marie (Bill) Johnston, Stouffville, Ontario; grandchildren, Corey, Jeffrey and Stefanie McGee, Kyle, Cameron and Ashleigh Collins, Peter and Kelly Boyce, as well as several nieces and nephews. Born in Wilsons' Beach, NB she is the daughter of the late Clarence & Aggie (Dow) Matthews. Phyllis was a member of Wilsons' Beach United Baptist Church. Phyllis and her late husband operated the Ponderosa Motel and Restaurant for many years, well known as a favorite landmark. She also worked at the Roosevelt International Park Commission. She enjoyed hobbies such as quilting. She is survived by her son, Roger of Wilsons' Beach, three sisters, Lorene Barteau of Deer Island, Della Matthews (Lester) of Wilsons Beach, Jewel Calder of Welshpool, NB , two brothers, Burris Matthews (Norma) and Ivan Matthews (Pat), all of Wilsons' Beach, many nieces , nephews and cousins sister in law Alice, brother in law, Maxwell Calder. She was predeceased by brother, Medford, sisters, Royis Calder, Elizabeth Jackson, brothers in law, Robert Jackson, Reginald Calder, and Arthur Barteau. Nova Walsh 1935 - 2007 Mary Nova Walsh, 72, of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Sunday, December 23rd, 2007 at her residence. Born in Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late George and the late Gertrude (née: Shields) Veno. She graduated from the Charlottetown School of Nursing in 1956 and did her post graduate work at the Montreal Children Hospital in 1957. She was a parishioner of Saint Michael Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Cyril; three dear sons, Patrick (Jean) of Lakeville, Wayne (Janice) of Stilesville and James (Kathy) of Riverview; two sisters, Mary Shirley (Harris) Johnston of Charlottetown, PE and Mary Geralda (Murray) Swan of Douglas, NB; one brother, Wayne (Martha) Veno of Brampton, ON; two loving grandchildren, David and Samantha; as well as several nieces and nephews. Lydia M. Fisher Lydia M. Fisher 92 of Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Iva (Jones) Whiting. Lydia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and member of Parkside Baptist Church. She was a member of the Lois Winters Missionary Society and former secretary of Parkside Church Sunday School. She enjoyed knitting, cooking (molasses cookies), but first and foremost was her love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lydia will be sadly missed by her children, Joyce Smith (late Jack), Audrey Stiles (late Doug), Moncton, Carol Pickel (Don), Winnipeg, MB, Robert (Alma), Clifford (late Donna), Moncton; 24 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. EMENS, Robert John - Passed away peacefully on December 25, 2007 in Bellingham, Washington after spending the day with family. Robert was born on November 20, 1916 in Easton, Pennsylvania. He attended City College of New York, Browns Business College and Cornell University. For 45 years he worked for S. C. Johnson & Son starting as a Sales Engineer in New York City and progressing through increasingly responsible positions including Vice President and General Manager of Canadian Johnson. After returning to Racine as Director of International Sales Development, he retired in 1981 to York Harbor, Maine. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Bunny) of 67 years; daughters, Christine Davidson and her husband Donald of Blaine, WA and Deirdre Mick and her husband Joel of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Maxwell Mick and Tara Saunders and her husband, Leonard and great-grandchildren Payton, Justin and Cameron Saunders. John was born in Calgary on October 26, 1923. Attending schools for the deaf in both Winnipeg and Montreal, he forged many lifelong friendships. In 1955 John married Margaret Ferrier and together they settled in Calgary where they raised their three children. Although he enjoyed working at many different jobs throughout his life, his family always came first. John is survived by his daughter Jayne Pettifor of Wetaskiwin, AB; two sons, Eric Morrison of Denver, CO, Brad and Diane Morrison of Calgary; grandchildren, Cole, Fraser and Caitlin Pettifor; Nicole and Andrew Morrison, Robert and Danielle Morrison; and sister Betty Blacklaws of Calgary. He was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret, son-in-law Patrick Pettifor, and daughter-in-law Debbie Morrison and by four brothers and two sisters.
