Dear husband of Jean, loving father of Ken (Helena), Patricia (David), Nancy, Ronald (Diane), Richard (Carla), Karen (Philip), Craig (Kathy), Karla (Edward) and Paula (Alan). Very proud grandfather of twenty-five grandchildren. OBITUARY GORDON BEATTIE A W.W.II Veteran After a lengthy battle with heart disease, Gordon passed peacefully into rest on October 18, 2007. He is predeceased by his loving wife Ilah (nee Tuckwood). He leaves his loving daughters, Marlene Beattie and Sharron and her husband Wayne Wilson of Oakville and his sisters Norma Douglass and Joyce Wylie of Montreal. Forever missed by his grandchildren Stephen Itel, Brent Wilson and Christina Wilson. Fondly remembered by Harold Itel, Michael Brown, other relatives and friends. Gordon was a member of the infantry regiment, The North Nova Scotia Highlanders. He was a long term employee of Northern Electric in Montreal, a Bell Telephone Pioneer of America and an employee of Canadair. At the family's request, a private service will take place in the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905-844-3321) followed by interment at St. Jude's Cemetery. ADAMS, William Keith March 30, 1926 - October 19, 2007 With sorrow, the family of Keith Adams, FCA, advises of his peaceful passing on Friday, October 19, 2007 at the age of 81 years. Keith was born and raised in Edmonton, attended Scona High School, and served in the Canadian Army. He articled as a Chartered Accountant and then, by fortune, met and married Shirley Sproule in 1950. Keith and Shirley spent the next decade in Peace River and Grande Prairie, building Keith's career and starting a family. Keith and his family then moved to Calgary where Keith became, inter alia, Managing Partner with Pannell Kerr, a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants, President of the Chartered Accountants of Alberta, National President of the Kinsmen and a proud PNOOKA. Keith's passionate contributions to advancing the accounting profession have been well recognized. Keith was a principled and productive Albertan, a great dad, an accomplished winemaker and host, a member of both the Glencoe and Earl Grey, a world traveler and an avid reader. He was ever fond of big words, vigorous debate and instructing others on ethics (whether others wished such instruction or not). Keith leaves behind his devoted wife Shirley; Janice and Jack Gordon, Ken, Kelly and Charles; Ross and Sylvia Adams, Lindsey and Tim; Reed Adams, Daniel and Brandt; Brad and Wendy Adams, Duncan and Max. The family is grateful to all responsible for the exceptional medical care that Keith received during his spirited defiance of Parkinson's. Katherine "Miss Kitty" Eden (née Balaban) August 03, 1942 - October 19, 2007 Tragically passed away in a motor vehicle collision on Friday, October 19, 2007 at the age of 65. Affectionaly known as 'Miss Kitty' to her famiy and friends. Her vibrant spirit illuminated the lives of those who knew and loved her. Loving Aunt and Godmother of Mike Scheibe. Cherished sister to Mary Mezurecky of California, Olga Dube of Cambridge, Anne Mazmanian and her husband William of Kitchener. Also surviving are cousins Olga Lewicky and Mary Balaban, both of Cambridge. Will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Also dearly missed by her beloved group of 'girlfriends.' HAY, Shirley Grace Shirley Grace Hay of Innisfail passed away peacefully on October 17, 2007 at the Innisfail Rosefield Centre at the age of 87 years. Shirley was born January 23, 1920 and raised in Nanton where she attended school and was involved in the Anglican Church. She married John Hay on August 6, 1940. John worked for Arthur Crawford Frost at the Caerleon Ranch for the next twelve years and Shirley cooked for the hired men and the men on the threshing crews along with raising their family. In 1957, John and Shirley purchased some Hereford cattle from Arthur and started out on their own on a ranch west of Nanton. They moved to Innisfail in 1971 where John was employed as the secretary treasurer for the Alberta Hereford Association. Shirley was John's "right-hand" working in the office, entertaining and traveling with him in Alberta and overseas promoting Hereford cattle. She thoroughly enjoyed meeting people and making lifelong friendships. Shirley loved her family, garden, flowers, birthday, anniversary and family get-togethers. She did not need an excuse to cook or bake, as she loved doing it and most often would send some home with whoever was visiting. Shirley was predeceased by her husband John in November 2006; three sisters, seven brothers-in-law, and four sisters-in-law. Shirley is survived by three daughters Serena (Dan) Smith of Nanton, Lucille (Ben) James of Edgerton, Sandy (Jan) Molendyk of Three Hills; four grandsons John (DeKoel) Smith of Nanton, Lloyd Smith of Calgary, Scott Molendyk of Red Deer and Mark Molendyk of Three Hills; two great-grandchildren Clayton and Shelby Smith of Nanton; one brother Terry (Patty) Atkinson and one sister Anita (Doug) McCully; as well a numerous other relatives. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Innisfail United Church with Reverend Margaret Lange officiating. Memorial donations may be made directly to the Alzheimer's Association, Multiple Sclerosis Society or charity of one's choice. ROY (King), Angeline - passed away on October 12, 2007 at the home of her sister Vivienne Faubert of Simi Valley, California. Angeline was born October 4, 1913 in Chatham, Ontario. In 1934, she graduated from St Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing of Chatham. She outlived all of her classmates. Angeline loved her profession, whether it be in Detroit or in Arizona, where she lived for many years. All appreciated her many services. She became a lifelong caregiver and companion to the wife of one of her patients; they travelled the world in the 50's and 60's. The Auto-Club awarded her a plaque not only for her 50 year membership, but also for having driven across Canada, the United States, Mexico and Europe without ever having an accident. Angeline is predeceased by her parents, Henry and Anna Roy (King) her two brothers, Napoleon and Gerard, all of Pain Court. Her remaining family besides Vivienne (the late Jerome Faubert) includes Sisters Jeanne and Marguerite from Montreal, Marie-Anne, (the late Regis Caron) Pain Court, Florence and her husband Bernard Beaudoin, Surrey, B.C., Therese and her husband Frank Vince, Banning, California, a sister-in-law, Margo Roy, Pain Court. She will also be missed by a great number of nieces and nephews. Burial of the ashes will take place at a later date in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Pain Court. 10870303

BOXILL,CAROL H. Y. RN, BA, LLB Carol died peacefully on October 16, 2007 in hospital after suffering a massive stroke. Her family and some friends were in the hospital to be near her in her final moments. Carol is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Tony Boxill, and her two children Bernie and Daphne Boxill, to whom she meant everything. Carol was born in Jamaica, the daughter of Llewellen and Enid Bailey both of whom predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her sister Eva. She is survived by her sisters, Sibyl Bailey, Dr. Dorothy Bryant, Constance Jones, Olive, and her brothers Lloyd Bailey, Barrington Bailey, Rudyard Bailey, Llewellen Bailey and Errol Bailey. She is also survived by a number of nephews and nieces. In the early 1960s, Carol went to St. Mary's Hospital in Montreal where she trained as a nurse. After working in this field for a number of years she decided to enter the University of New Brunswick where she completed a degree in English, and then a degree in Law. She practiced law, mainly criminal, for a number of years, and then was invited to sit on the Human Rights Tribunal. After retiring from her legal practice in New Brunswick she moved with her husband to Toronto to be near her children. Her final two years may have been her happiest. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, 794 Kingston Road on Saturday October 20, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation has already taken place. OBITUARY MAFALDA ZAPPITELLI (CARLUCCI) It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mafalda Zappitelli (Carlucci) on Friday October 19, 2007 at 3:30 a.m. at the age of sixty-seven. She passed away with courage, strength and dignity surrounded by all her loving family after a short struggle with an aggressive cancer. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband Michelino Carlucci. These two loving parents recently celebrated their 50th year wedding anniversary. She was an incredible Loving mother to Carmine (Elisa), Aldo (Lucy), Enzo (Micheline), Domenic (Wendy). An adoring grandmother to Michael, David, Joseph, Vicky, Chelsea, Antoinette, Arianna, Stephanie and Priscilla (her little angel). She will be fondly remembered by many Family members and friends, especially her dearest best friend Carmela Rodi whom the two were inseparable. We the Family thank with all our hearts LUCY for your endless love towards our mom.
