SINCLAIR, John Lawrence In the early morning of October 6, 2007, at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, John Lawrence Sinclair, born on December 14, 1932, surrounded by family, quietly and peacefully passed away. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mona (Hickey) Sinclair of Calgary; his second wife, Jacqueline; his brother David; his sister, Laura. He leaves to mourn, his third wife, Patricia; his children, Monica (Fred) Slobodzian and children: Jonathan (Carrie) and Lucas; Kacy-Jae, Emma-Leigh; Mary (Graham Cox) and children: Aaron, Sean, Joshua, Samantha; Pamela (Roger) Peisar and children: Benjamin, Amy, Jesse; Gerald (Darlene) and children: Tamara, Patrick (Michelle), Amanda, Andrew; Catherine (Barrie MacLeod) and children: Christopher, Anna; Timothy (Sherri) and children: Mark, Olivia, Thomas, Sarah; brother Robert (Mary) Sinclair of Red Deer; sisters Elizabeth (Libby) Nichols, Mary Chisholm of Calgary; sisters-in-law, Evelyn (Mrs. Dave) Sinclair of Calgary, Genevieve Salamon (Glen Gunther); stepsons Kim (Bonita Fung) McBride and children: Sara, Patrick; Wade McBride; Adrian (Jane) McBride and their children: Jasmin (Randy) Ginter, Alyssa; daughter-in-law Robbi Behr; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends. John graduated from Saint Mary's High School in Calgary; worked for Imperial Oil in Norman Wells, NWT; was a salesman of pharmaceuticals for CIBA in Saskatchewan; finished his working years as Director of Men's Social Services and Waterston House for the Salvation Army in Regina; and in retirement, devoted many years to Wascana Rehabilitation Centre as a volunteer in the Veterans' Wing. Throughout his life he was nearly unbeatable at Cribbage, could always swing a club to win a round of golf, as a young man swam the length of the Shuswap Lakes, and canoed the Fraser River System in BC. John will be remembered for his gentle teasing humor, a fine story-telling ability, and his kindness. The family wishes to thank those at the Pasqua Hospital who gave John professional and compassionate care, and wish to say a heartfelt thank you to friends and relatives for their e-mails, cards, prayers, visits and calls. Together you gave John the strength and hope he needed to make every day a good day, and to live his final time with dignity and happiness. Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. J.B. Okai on October 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. A private Interment will take place in Calgary at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. WIMMER, Lloyd Joseph Lloyd Joseph Wimmer, an explorer who drilled for precious metals and water, died peacefully, Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Surrey Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. Lloyd's wife and sweetheart of thirty years, Judy (Cavanaugh) died in 1981. Lloyd was remarried to Barbara of Thunder Bay, Ontario in 1985. Lloyd was born on a small farm North of Castor, Alberta, October 28, 1928, the second son of Michael and Elizabeth (Frank). His brothers Ernst and Roy predeceased him. He is survived by his son Kim, daughter-in-law Kathy, grandchildren Michael and Candice, sister-in-law Elva Wimmer of Calgary, and many nieces, nephews and friends who shared his life. Lloyd was a great storyteller and the friend that people looked to and loved to be around. We will be remembering Lloyd at Newlands Golf Course in Langley, October 12, 2007 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. We have chosen the Oak Room for lunch and stories. REYNOLDS, Leslie. (1929-2007). Passed away peacefully at the Lakeshore General Hospital on October 6 after a life-long struggle with respiratory problems. He leaves to be reunited with his beloved wife Betty of 47 years, whom we lost to cancer in February 2002. He will be missed greatly by his son Dave (Cheryl), daughter Erica (Bernie), grandchildren Tanya (Marcel) and Cory, sister Joanne (John), brother Doug (Phyllis) and predeceased by his brother Ken (Louise) as well as nieces and nephews. Also survived by many special in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Del was a member of the Tilbury K-Cettes and the Catholic Women's League. Born in Blenheim daughter of the late Irving L. and Marguerite (Ashton) Remington. Beloved wife of the late Jerry Walter Haskell (1988) Dear Mother of Marge and Peter Steel of Mason, Michigan, Jerry and Margaret Haskell of Blenheim and the late Robert Haskell (1996). Also surviving is a daughter-in-law Shirley Haskell of Kentville, Nova Scotia. Loved Grandmother of Walter and Melinda Steel, Michael Steel, Peter Steel, Kelly and Ed Patton, Tanya and Gerard WahKan, Juliana Haskell, Melinda and Brett Beswetherick, Tara Haskell and the late Robert Haskell (1994) and Infant Jessica Haskell (1983). BERGGREN, Enar Rolph October 30, 1935 - October 4, 2007 Enar Berggren beloved husband of Myrna Berggren of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the Rockyview General Hospital at the age of 71 years. Enar endured a lengthy battle with a stroke and dementia that he faced with dignity and grace. He touched the lives of all who knew him as a warm, humble, honest, giving, and cheerful man. Enar is survived by his beloved wife of forty-seven years, Myrna Berggren and is the beloved father to sons and daughter-in-law, Kevin Berggren and Nore-Joe (NJ) and Susan Berggren. BERSCHT, Joyce 1920 - 2007 Joyce Elizabeth Berscht (nee Levagood) of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Len Berscht, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Joyce is survived by her children Judy (Bob) Penner of Taber and their children Tara (Len) Andrus of Whitecourt (children Randi and Shayna), Todd Penner of Taber; Wendy (Mike) Delaney of Kelowna, British Columbia and their children Erin Delaney of Kelowna (children Byrant, Madison and Dayton), Meghan (Kevin) Kolenc of Kelowna. She is also survived by a sister Mildred Toogood of Waterloo, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband Len in 2002. Joyce was born at Didsbury on February 11, 1920 to Harry and Maude Levagood. She received her schooling in Westcott and later in Didsbury. Joyce married Len Berscht on July 31, 1940. She was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and a longtime resident of Didsbury. In 2003 she moved to Lethbridge where she has resided until the time of her passing. Burial will take place at the Didsbury Cemetery. Mary will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Leona (Norman) Atkinson and Joan (Ken) Fieber; her four grandchildren, Heather (Michael) Watamanik, Mark (Tamara) Fieber, Leanne (Dan) Congdon and Michelle (Gregory) Sims; and six great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Ryan, Emma and Zachary, Matthew and Meagan. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Petrina and Agnes and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband George in 2000; her brothers, George and John; and her sister Margaret. She was a kind and gentle person who always had a smile for everyone. McDOUGALL, Edwin Gregg Betts - of West Goshen. Edwin Gregg Betts McDougall, 82, of West Goshen, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his immediate family on 10/6/07 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. Born in 1925 in Chatham, Ontario Canada and raised in Blenheim, Ontario Canada. He married Marilyn Christene Grant of Chatham, Ontario Canada on 10/1/1949 who predeceased him 2005. Son of the late Earl Gregg McDougall and the late Edith May Betts McDougall. He was predeceased by sister Charlotte McDougall Pearce and brother John Alexander McDougall. He is survived by his daughter, Laurie Ann McDougall of Newtown Square, PA., a son, E. Gregg McDougall Jr., and his wife Beth and their children Meaghan, Owen, Jack and Avery Grace, all of West Chester. A niece, Carolyn Pearce Maynes and her family in Ottawa, Ontario and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in London, Chatham, Blenheim, Thornton Ontario, Nova Scotia, Amherst Island, Rhode Island, Michigan and Hawaii. Ed joined Royal Canadian Air Force in 1943 at Windsor, Ontario and spent the war years in England as a leading Aircraftsman repairing airplane engines for the RCAF and RAF. He was honorably discharged at Lachine, Quebec on 7/11/1946. He and his wife immigrated to the US and he joined the Chrysler Corporation in 1957 and became a US Citizen. He was eventually transferred to Pennsylvania and resided in Marple Township for 28 years. He retired from Chrysler in 1980. He was past president of Marple Newtown Lions Club (1976), a former member of the Stone Harbor Lions Club and is currently a member of Honey Brook Lions Club. He was also past Commodore of Harbor North Yacht Club (1976) in Elkton, MD. He was a member of the Brandywine Hospital chapter of Senior Circle and a member of the West Chester Senior Center. He was a former member of Marple Presbyterian Church and a current member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Frazer, PA. He loved his family, boating, skiing, camping and the Philadelphia Flyers. STEBELESKI, Doris May (nee Holmes) - Passed away in Cobourg, Ontario on October 6th, 2007 at the age of 91 after a strong battle with age. Survived by son Robert and brother James Holmes (Nancy) of Orillia, Ontario. Predeceased by husband Andrew in 1985 and sister Muriel in 2005. Doris was born on Valentines Day in the village of Aberdeen, Saskatchewan. She worked as a laboratory technician for the Saskatchewan Government until her marriage to Andrew in 1945. Doris and Andrew spent much of their adult life in Penticton, B.C. then after Andrew's passing, Doris moved to Orillia, Ontario to be closer to her son, brother and sister. Subsequently, in 2004, Doris moved to Cobourg to be with her son. Thanks to the staff of Legion Village Retirement Centre who were so kind and helpful to Doris the past three years. Thanks to Northumberland Hills Hospital staff for the intensive care the past few months. The compassion and support from the CCU staff was particularly appreciated. Thanks to her good friend Christine McNinch whom Doris adored. Doris was a good wife and a good mother – Thanks Mom and give Dad a big hug! A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
