LILL, Robert George January 10, 1918 - September 16, 2007 Bob, beloved husband of Mary, passed away peacefully on a beautiful sunny day on Sunday, September 16, 2007 surrounded by his family in Calgary, AB at the age of 89 years. Bob was born in Toronto, ON and was raised in Belleville, ON and Corbyville, ON. He graduated with a BSc in geology from Queen's University in 1940. In addition to being a devoted husband, he was a father extraordinaire to his four children, and the world's best Grandpa. Bob, a professional engineer, had a long and distinguished career as a petroleum geologist and executive, pursuing his profession in the Caribbean and South America as well as in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Bob, a true gentleman with a resolute hold on a fine set of values, loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was an avid golfer, skier, sailor and sportsman who enjoyed a wonderful retirement including many years in Rio Verde, AZ. Bob will be celebrated and remembered for his astute observations, business acumen and a tremendous sense of humour. He will definitely be missed and remembered by all who knew and loved him. Besides his soulmate of sixty-one years, Mary, Bob is survived by his four children, Marilyn (Len Hendrickson), John (Phyllis), David (Colleen) and Steven (Esther); and his ten grandchildren, Rob, Christie (Cory), Tom (Kristy), Mary-Catherine, James (Jen), Marilyn, Geoff, Caroline, Brady and Matthew. Laframboise Marguerite Après avoir célébré son 100ème anniversaire le 19 août 2007, tante Margot est décédée dimanche le 16 septembre 2007. Fille de feu Françoise Duchesneau et de feu Charles-Arthur Laframboise et soeur de feu Jean Laframboise et de feu Guy Laframboise (feu Denise Rastoul), elle laisse dans le deuil son neveu Jean Laframboise (Marie-Andrée Richard), feu son neveu Pierre Laframboise (Monique Carrière) et sa nièce Louise Laframboise. Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil ses petits neveux et nièces: Félix-Antoine, Amélie, Julie, Rosalie et François; et d'autres parents et amis. Après avoir vécu plus de 88 ans à Montréal (dont presque trente-cinq ans dans le quartier Côte-des-Neiges) elle vivait depuis 12 ans à la résidence Notre-Dame-de-la-Victoire à St-Hubert où elle a reçu de très bons soins. Elle est décédée à l'hôpital Charles-Lemoyne entourée des siens. la célébration des funérailles aura lieu le samedi 22 septembre à 11h30. La famille désire remercier toutes les personnes qui lui ont prodigué douceur, attentions et réconfort pendant ces nombreuses années à la résidence ainsi que ses derniers jours à l'hôpital. DeFELICE, Nina (Giovanna) - Peacefully passed away at the Welland Hospital with her loving family by her side on September 16, 2007. Beloved wife of Antonio for 59 years. Loving mother of Carmela Rulli and her husband Joe, Frances Evangelista and her husband Gerry and Rita Mancino and her husband Anthony. Caring grandma of Angela Melo (Mike), Andria Evangelista, and Christa & Melissa Mancino. Survived by her brothers Pio Borsella (Filomena) and Raffaelo Borsella (Michelina), her sisters Ida Chase and Aurora Grazziano (Vittorio), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Alfonso & Carmela Borsella, her sister Maria Rosaria, her daughter Maria Grace and her granddaughters Angela Rulli and Victoria Mancino. Nina was born in Castropignano, Italy and came to Port Colborne in 1953. Nina worked side by side with her husband Antonio, operating Tony's Shoe Repair for 30 years. She was a devoted parishioner of St. John Bosco Church, their C.W.L and various prayer groups. Nina was a past member of Club Castopignano and Gruppo Folkoristico. Nina was a most devoted and caring mother, always putting the needs of her family first and instilled in her children the importance of faith and prayer. She enriched the lives of many through friendship and prayers. PARENTEAU-KENNY, Suzanne Danielle Elle est décédée paisiblement à l'hôpital Charles LeMoyne à l'unité des soins palliatifs, le 16 septembre 2007, à l'âge de 62 ans. L'automne est magnifique, c'est la saison favorite pour sa luminosité et ses couleurs. Mais l'automne est aussi marqué par ses échéances: la fin des moissons, la fin de tout ce qui caractérise l'été et par des pertes. Suzanne était atteinte d'une tumeur au cerveau très agressive diagnostiquée en avril 2006. Elle sera affectueusement regrettée par son époux John (Jack Kenny), son frère Peter, ses cousins et cousines, sa belle-famille, ses fidèles copines Michèle et Sandy et de ses amis (es). À sa demande, elle ne sera pas exposée. AYOTTE, Pauline Carmel - It is with profound sadness and grief that the husband and family of Pauline Ayotte announce her sudden and unexpected passing at 10:50 p.m. on September 15th, 2007 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, after a horrific brain hemorrhage, in her 62nd year. Pauline leaves behind her devoted husband of 33 years, Victor Branch, beloved sisters Georgette Binkley (Barry), Pierrette Ayotte (Kyle), brother Ron (Sylvie), sister in law Francoise Ayotte, and several loving nieces and nephews and many close friends and neighbours. She will be sadly missed by her step-daughters Anne-Marie Branch, Fiona Wright (Norman) and Dawn Scott and grandchildren Gregory and Matthew and Sasha. She is predeceased by her parents Rosaire and Gabrielle Ayotte, and by her brothers Marcel and Rene. Pauline worked in the Insurance Brokerage Business as a certified Technical Assistant by examination, for a period spanning several years including 25 years with AON Inc. (formerly Reed Stenhouse of the USA and Canada) in Toronto, Edmonton, and Calgary, from which she retired in 1994. Pauline was a senior staffer and a brilliant performer in her career, and was so honoured by the firm on her retirement. Pauline was an avid gardener, loved walking, camping and the outdoors, mastered and produced works of ceramic and paper tole as hobbies. Her husband, family, and her many friends will deeply miss and mourn this lovely, loving, thoughtful, kind, devoted, cheerful, happy person who was generous even in death by donating all her organs, some of which have already been transplanted to recipients to help prolong their lives; the ultimate act on giving! Teddy was predeceased by his parents, Perry and Elsie Brown. Teddy was a pipefitter by trade, but his real passion was his love of music and singing for several local bands. Teddy was lead singer for Teddy and the Royals, a popular sixties band, as well as others. Teddy's enjoyment of people, sense of humor and a good laugh will be missed by all who knew him. A funeral service will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Thursday, September 20th at 2:00 pm. Burial to follow at Sunny Bank Cemetery. Beloved husband of Dawn Campbell for 56 years. Loving father of Janis (Clifton Richardson), Darcy (Tom Crawford), Kelly and Douglas (Onalea Gilbertson), and grandfather of Scott and Colin Rees and Stephanie (Alan Samuels), Shannon and Matthew Crawford. Survived by niece Ellen (Kowalski) sisters-in-law Sharon (Vic Naimish), Sonya (Scott Wright), Dilly (Bill Burns) and Pat (Drewett) and one brother-in-law Keith Campbell. Jack was born on March 17, 1928 to Thomas and Isabelle McKeag in Beresford Manitoba. He was 18 months old when a car/train collision at Chater, MB killed his mother and older sister. Jack was thrown clear, unharmed, and with the consent of his father, was adopted by George H. McKeag (cousin of Thomas) and his wife Elizabeth Biggar. Jack grew up in Winnipeg, attending Queenston, Robert H. Smith and Kelvin Schools. He graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1949 with a Bachelor of Commerce. He then joined the family business Security Storage Ltd. (sold to British Traction in 1956) remaining there until 1960, serving as President 1952-60. He helped found McKeag-Harris Realty, latter known as McKeag Realty, and maintained an active role until 2000. Jack was a "generous and giving guy" who volunteered in his beloved Winnipeg in a great variety of causes. He was a life-long member of St. Andrew's River Heights United Church. He joined the Kiwanis Club in 1951 and thoroughly enjoyed his association, keeping up contact with friends that he met and worked with in the organization. He served as the President of the Winnipeg Club and as District Governor of the 67 Clubs in Western Canada. The family excursions to Kiwanis conventions across Canada and the USA rank high in memorable family trips, full of happenings and mis-happenings. Jack loved politics and worked locally for the Liberal party through many elections. In 1977, Prime Minister Trudeau appointed Jack as Lieutenant-Governor of the province of Manitoba, a position he held for 6 years. He was deeply honoured to have served Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth. He enjoyed travelling the province, attending fairs, festivals and curling bonspiels. Over 36, 000 people from all walks of life attended functions at Government House. Following his tenure as Lieutenant-Governor, Jack returned to the business sector. During this time he served on a number of Boards of Directors provincially, nationally and internationally. These Boards of Directors included: Canadian Motorways Ltd. (1963-80);M.E.P.C Canadian Properties Ltd. (1974-77); The Investors Group (1975-98); Johnson & Higgins Willis Faber Ltd. (1976-92); Grace General Hospital (1976-86); Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature (1976-84); Greater Winnipeg Gas Company (1978-86); Norcen Energy Resources Ltd. (1980-86); The Council for Canadian Unity (1981-87); Governor of the Olympic Trust of Canada (1983-91) and various community organizations. He was also a member of the St. Charles Country Club, The Manitoba Club, and past member of Winnipeg Winter Club, and Lakewood Country Club. Jack loved duck hunting with his friends and family. He became a member of Ducks Unlimited (Canada) in 1976, serving as President 1984-85 and as Chairman 1986-88. He was a big booster of the Winnipeg Jets too, serving as President 1976-77) In 1973, Jack was appointed Honorary Colonel of the Fort Garry Horse , enthusiastically supporting the regiment until retirement in 1998. Jack was the recipient of many honours during his lifetime, including: The Knight of Grace in the Canadian Priory of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (1971), Knight of Justice (1982); Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal (1978); Canadian Decoration (1986), Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation (1993); Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal. Jack and Dawn were keen travellers and covered a great part of the world. Always, however Winnipeg was home. The favourite place for the family to gather each summer was at Granite Lake, Ontario. In spite of all Jack's honours and activities, he always had time for his family activities - be it school, hockey, soccer, baseball, swim meets or the horse barn. He was always ready with a little "walking around money" for "his Buds". For the first time since 1980, Jack could not spend part of the winter in Sarasota, Florida. He was too ill to travel. During his illness, Jack was looked after by a legion of caring people at the Grace Hospital and by the Home Care and their Palliative Care Unit. Angels All! It allowed him to die at home in the midst of his family. A special thanks to Dr. T Morgan and Colonel Max Ryan. The service for William John (Jack) McKeag will take place on Wednesday, August 28, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrew's River Heights United Church, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
