HORGAN, CYRIL CLEMENT - The death of Cyril Clement Horgan of Riverview, NB (formerly of Saint John), husband of the late June (nee Whitlock), occurred on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB a son of the late Daniel and Beatrice (King) Horgan. A resident of Saint John for most of his life, moving to Riverview twelve years ago and lived with his son and family; he was a former member of Stella Maris Parish. During World War II he served overseas with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. Cyril was employed for over twenty years with Rothesay Paper. Survived by one son, Tim (Jill) of Riverview; and six daughters, Sue Duval of Toronto, ON, Gloria Ayers of Saint John, Bonnie (Louis) Arsenault of Hampton, NB, Theresa Robicheau of Saint John, Beatrice Horgan of Toronto and Gail (Gilles) Prevost of Saint John; four brothers, Donald (Mary), Danny, Noel (Marg), all three of Saint John and Murray of Dartmouth, NS; one sister, Dot Stafford, of Saint John; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, June (1983); two sons, Malcolm Kenneth (2006) and Doug (1972). CAMPBELL, DENNIS CLIFFORD - Dennis Clifford Campbell of Tilley, NB passed away on September 9, 2007 at the Edmundston Regional Hospital at the age of 61 unexpectedly due to complications while under going treatment for cancer. Born in McAdam he was the son of the late Edgar & Ida (Sullivan) Campbell. Dennis was a beloved husband to Diann (Parker) Campbell; daddy to Mike Campbell of Montreal and Melanie (Jeremy) Saulis of Tilley; grandpa to Abigayl (Dolly), Janae (Punkie Head) and Aislyn (Sweet Pea); brother to Carolyn (Craig) Hayden of Georgia, Duane (Bonnie) Campbell of Hampton and Ann Campbell of Woodstock; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Dennis was actively involved with countless service organizations within the community. Resting at the Perth-Andover Wesleyan Church with visiting hours on Tuesday September 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 12th at 2 pm from the Perth-Andover Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ryan Farrell officiating. BISHOP, MARGOT MACAULAY, 72, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2007 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville following a series of strokes. Born and raised in Saint John, N.B., she was the daughter of the late William and Louise (Sweet) Macaulay. Margot had a career in the medical field as a radiation therapist. She received her training in both Canada and England. Margot and her husband John were married in Saint John, N.B., and returned to England together where she supported her husband as he completed his PhD. They eventually settled and raised their five children in the United States before retiring to Nova Scotia. One of Margot's passions was to knit, always giving her knitted items to others and donating many to the hospital. She volunteered at the Chrysalis House in Kentville. She looked forward to her weekly meetings with her close friends in the community. Her family remembers Margot as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Bishop; sons, Donald, Geoffrey and Gregory; daughters, Denise and Rachel; brother, W. Donald Macaulay, Fredericton, N.B.; 10 grandchildren; five nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or funeral service for Mrs. Bishop by the family's request. HACKETT, Kenneth George - Suddenly, with dignity, on Saturday, September 8, 2007, Kenneth George Hackett, age 75, passed away at University Hospital following complications of cardiac surgery. Best friend and husband of Elizabeth (Betty) Hodge. GAGNÉ, M. Bernard 1929-2007 Subitement à sa résidence, le 8 septembre 2007, à l'âge de 78 ans, est décédé M. Bernard Gagné, époux de feu Yvette Grégoire, demeurant à Montréal, et autrefois de Granby. Le défunt laisse dans le deuil sa fille Isabelle. Il était le frère de feu Anita Gagné Gaucher, Donia (Anita Thibodeau), feu Jean-Louis (Gertrude Langevin), feu Viateur (feu Caroline Pelletier), Anne-Marie (Valère Scrosati), Marie-Berthe (feu Alcide Giguère), feu Paul (Jeannine Coderre), Noëlla (Roméo Norbert), feu Germain (Thérèse Deslandes), Gisèle (feu Aurèle Desmarais). DUMINIE, Douglas Michael William Algonquin College - Professor, Business English and Performance Institute Peacefully in Ottawa, Saturday September 8, 2007, in his 64th year. Beloved son of the late Mercedes Marguerite (Kelley) and Douglas Verdun Duminie, formerly of Belleville, Ontario. Cherished brother of the late Marilyn and Ray. After graduating from Nicholson Catholic College in Belleville in 1962, Doug received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Patrick's College of the University of Ottawa. He returned to teach at Nicholson Catholic College for two years. He taught at East York Collegiate in Toronto for one year. He then enrolled at the University of Ottawa for an M.A. in Arts. Doug started teaching at Algonquin community College in 1970 and has been teaching there ever since. He is remembered by his two sons Ryan and Jesse and his many friends, colleagues and students. At his request, there will be no visitation or Funeral Service. Cremation. Special thanks to the Ottawa General Hospital and Manoir Galleon Residence for their wonderful care. HARRIS, Sister Mary, CSJ (Sister Anna Catherine) Sister Mary Harris entered into her eternal rest at Mount St. Joseph, Peterborough, Ontario on Friday, September 7th, 2007, in her 62nd year of her religious life. She was the daughter of Peter Harris and his wife Helena Martelock of Ottawa, Ontario. Along with the members of her religious community, she leaves to mourn her one brother, Bernard from Ottawa, Ontario and three sisters, Margaret O'Donnell (John) of Cloyne, Ontario, Betty Leger (Michel) of Ottawa, Ontario and Sister Helen Harris of Mount St. Joseph, Peterborough, Ontario as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and her brothers George, James, John, Peter and William. Sister Mary received her education in Ottawa, Ontario. During her many years in the Congregation, she served in dietary and household services at St. Ceilias's Convent in Peterborough, Kirkfield, Parry Sound, Cobourg and Wainwright. She was also involved in pastoral services in Wainwright and Port Hope. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Mount St. Joseph, Peterborough, Ontario on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 10:30 am. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery, Peterborough.
