FELTON, Dorothy (nee, White) – of Welland, on Friday, September 7, 2007 in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Edward Felton (1995). Loving mother of Joanne Demers (Richard), Cathy Felton (Ed) and Debbie Levesque (Gilles), all of Welland, and Ed Felton (Heather) of St. Thomas. Lovingly remembered by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of James White (Ann) of Port Colborne and sister-in-law of Elsie Alward of Welland. Predeceased by her parents Patrick James and Olive White and sister Linda Holt. Mrs. Felton was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4, Welland. Friends are invited to visit the family at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland, on Sunday, September 9th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, September 10th at 1:30 p.m. in the Cudney Chapel. Cremation will follow. Interment of cremated remains in Doan's Ridge Cemetery at a later date. CURRY HAMPTON, Abbigayle Faith The family of Abbigayle Faith is saddened to announce that on Friday, August 24th, 2007 at 5:10 a.m., their precious Baby was called away far too soon. Suddenly after birth in her mother Hilary's arms our Lord decided that Abbigayle was too fair to bloom on earth. Baby Abbie was taken by an angel back to Heaven to wait in the garden until some glad morning when we will meet again. Abbigayle Faith leaves to mourn her mother Hilary and her loving sister Alison. Also grieving are her Nanny and Poppa: Nancy and Greg Hampton of Ottawa; her Godmother and Aunt, Bethany of Peterborough and her Great-Grandmother, Belva Curry, also of Peterborough. Predeceased by her Great-Grandfather, William Curry and Great-Grandmother, Winnifred Hampton. Many aunts, uncles and cousins will miss having a chance to hold Abbie in their arms and watch her grow. GOYER, Kathleen (nee Heafey) Oct. 29, 1926 - Sept. 3, 2007 Passed away at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Ottawa. Predeceased by her husband Victor Goyer, parents Owen and Sarah Heafey, brothers Basil, Hillary, Jack, Gilbert, Allan, and one sister Vera, all of Maniwaki, Quebec. Kay is survived by daughters Sharon Tamaro, Vancouver, Sheila Redcrow (Alex), Saddle Lake, Alberta; grandchildren Evan, Jessie (Dean), Tasha, Leah and Neil, great-grandchildren Keenan, Tyrelle, Sharonne and Savon, and nephew John Owen Heafey (Carole), numerous cousins and friends. Kay had an amazing spirit and will be sadly missed by all. Cremation has taken place. Born in St. Mary's, Idaho on October 29, 1922 and raised in Maniwaki, she was the youngest of seven children of Sarah and Owen Heafey. She is predeceased by her brothers Jack, Hilary, Basil, Gilbert, Allan and by sister Vera. Kay served in the Women's Army Corp in 1944-45 and was active in the Royal Canadian Legion. She lived in Montreal, New Haven, Conn., Quebec City, Germany and finally settled in Ottawa in 1966. She worked at both the National Art Gallery and the Museum of Science and Technology for many years. Her enthusiastic joie de vivre will be warmly remembered by family and friends. Many thanks to cousin and physician Dr. Sandra Gendron as well as the staff at the Ottawa Civic Geriatric Assessment Unit and at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital. SMITH, Iris 85. It is with sadness that we announce the death of Iris (nee Beauchamp), loving mother to Kent (of Ottawa, currently residing in Beijing) and Brian (of Toronto), and grandmother to Alison, Matthew, Christopher, Lindsay and Lauren. She will be missed by her surviving sister, Myra, her daughters-in-law, Susan, Frances and Judy, and by all her family and the many friends around the world whom she met in her travels with her late husband, G/C Maurice Smith (RCAF). A resident of Ottawa for more than 20 years after Maurice's death, in recent years Iris had lived at Trilogy LTC in Toronto. She died peacefully on Friday, August 31. FOURNIER, John Arthur - Passed away at the Tall Pines Long Term Care Facility in Brampton, Ontario on September 6th, 2007 at the age of 93. John was a graduate of Montreal Technical School in 1934, a lifetime serving brother of St. John's Ambulance and was honoured with the Order of St. John in 1963. OBITUARY JEREMIE (JERRY) DE VILLIERS SR. 1935-2007 Jerry passed away peacefully on September 4 at St. Mary's hospital. Jerry was born in Hull, Quebec to father Jeremie De Villiers and mother Melina Auger. He is survived by his children Jeremie Jr., Angela and Andree and his grandchildren Tanya and Joel. He will be missed by his brothers Jean, Art, Bert and sister Simone as well as by his many nieces and nephews. Jerry's life was that of a passionate musician. He started playing the piano at the age of eight and went on to have an illustrious career as a conductor, arranger and beloved accompanist to many great stars of the Canadian and international entertainment scene. He could often be seen on CFCF T.V., heard on countless radio broadcasts and on the over 300 recordings he made over the many years as a professional musician. DYCYK, Anna (Dych). Peacefully after a brief illness, Anna died on September 6, 2007 surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband Paul. Most cherished mother of Sylvia and her son-in-law Jerry Danylewick. Proud Baba of Luba and Richard and his wife Diane Savignac. FRIZZELL, Margaret Cromwell (nee Hovey). Passed away peacefully at the Lakeshore General Hospital, Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the age of eighty-four after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years Harold and her two sons Cameron (Karen) and Ross (Robin). Beloved grandchildren Ruth (Shawn Paige), Raymond, Stephanie and Joshua and especially beloved great-grandchildren Bailey and Blair. Special thanks to the Lakeshore Hospital and the care they gave her in her final days. Funeral service will be held Monday, September 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Wyman Memorial Church, 513 Main Road, Hudson. HARWOOD, Didi (nee Melchers). Died peacefully on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the home of her daughter Micheline Boylan in Ghent, N.Y. at the age of ninety-six. She is mourned by her daughter and son-in-law Brendan Boylan, with whom she had made her principal home for many years. Her memory is cherished by her friends Maurice Bourassa of Montreal and Carl Skogard and Joseph Holtzman of Ghent. A funeral mass was held in Ghent on August 30. Winston "Win" Douglas Embree Embree, Winston "Win" Douglas, 62, Truro passed away September 6, 2007 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Springhill on July 24, 1945, he was a son of Phyllis (McNulty) Embree and the late Douglas Embree, Truro. He was employed in the food services industry ending his career with Hub Meat Packers, Moncton, NB. He returned to Truro in the fall of 2004. He was always a wonderful friend and supporter with his energetic personality. "Win" was a doer and planner, enthusiastic and friendly, loved sports and wood working. He is survived by sister, Carol (Elmer) Patton; niece, Allison (Derrick) Corbett; nephews, Chris and Scott Patton; companion and great-friend, Erma Conrad; grandchildren, Rachel and Bradley; several aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm; funeral service on Monday at 2:00 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street with Rev. Gordon MacLean officiating.
