KORVER, Wouter (Walter) - Peacefully at Hastings Manor in Belleville on Saturday, September 1, 2007 in his 83rd year. Loving husband of Aartje (Edith) Korver (nee Van Dommelen). Father of Symen (Sue), Walt (Margaret) of Trenton, Bert (Connie) of Campbellford and Rita Bosma (Len) of Trenton. Grandfather of Lana, Eric, Dennis (Jennifer) and Sonya Korver, Amy Meones (Jay) and Julia Bosma, Rick, Tim (Courtney), Joe (Jen) and Lee Ann Bannon and Lynn Brown (Wayne). Great- grandfather Noel, Skylar & Tyler Bannon, Arenda & Cody Brown. Survived by sister Petra, Nel, Johanna and brother Cees of the Netherlands and Rie of Abbotsford B.C. Walter will be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends in Canada and the Netherlands. Walter was born in Ouden Kerkon D Amstl, Netherlands. He served in Indonesia during the Indonesian war before returning home to marry Aartje. In 1950 he brought his young bride to Douglas, Ontario Canada and worked as a farm laborer. They later moved to Belleville before settling in the Trenton area. Walter worked tending fruit trees for Colin Crews and as a construction worker for Miron Wiggers later Mirtren. His love of flowers, plants and trees was obvious in his property. Walter was one of the first school board members for the Trenton Christian School when it was built in 1956. He served as a deacon and elder for the Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church. One of Walter's last volunteer jobs was helping with the Construction of the new Trenton Christian School. MARSH, Madeleine Huggette (Bisson) - On Friday, August 31, 2007 with the morning sun upon her and her family by her side at University Hospital, London, Madeleine Huggette (Bisson) Marsh passed away peacefully at the age of 73. Beloved wife of Alexander (Alex) Marsh. Loving mother of Patricia Marsh and mother-in-law of Noemi Marsh of Toronto and Sarnia and Philip Marsh (Wendy) of Belle River. Grandmother of Beau Morisette of Windsor and Chase Morisette of Sarnia. Great grandmother of two. Dear sister of Earnest (Cecile) Bisson of Hamilton, Gerald (Laurette) Bisson of Ottawa, Robert (Joyce) Bisson and Pierre (Mona) Bisson of Sarnia, Marguerite (Joe) Pavlenyi of Amherst, Quebec. Survived by brother-in-law Marcel Sylvain and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter Angele (June 2003), sisters Francoise Sylvain (July 2003) and Sylvia Bond (Nov. 2003). Madeleine contributed her time to the Labour Council as a board member in the city of Sarnia and held the role of President of her political party. She was recording secretary of the Sarnia and District Labour Council and union steward for the United Steel Workers of America Local 14097. Her health brought her many challenges all of which she met head on and to the end. She valued life dearly. Special thanks to those caring staff at the London University Hospital for enabling Madeleine to meet her expectations. Cremation has taken place. Helen was born in Espanola and married Emmerson Wade in Sudbury in 1955. Helen was a woman of great faith who attended various local churches where she actively participated in ministry and fellowship. She was a gifted pianist and singer who shared her gift at church and retirement homes. She was always quick to help others. Her door was open to all in need. She had a great affinity for animals especially for her cats. Helen will be remembered as a kind and giving person who was not concerned with worldly possessions. MacDONALD, George L. "Captain Mac" Passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital on Thursday, August 30th, 2007 with his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara MacDonald (nee Quinn) by his side. George was a World War II Veteran and a permanent member as a pilot of the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Canadian Armed Forces, retiring in 1969. After retirement George was instrumental in starting and in the success of the Aviation Technology Course at Selkirk College, Castlegar, British Columbia, where he remained for 15 years as Chief Ground School Instructor. Upon returning to Ottawa, George became an avid duplicate bridge player and was well known throughout the bridge community. George is also survived by his dear sister Margaret Ellen Dixon (Alan) and many good, loving nieces and nephews. At George's request there will be no visitation or service. Private Interment will be at Pinecrest Cemetery. OBITUARY DOMINIC FRANK BELVEDERE 1915 - 2007 In Montreal on September 2, 2007 at the age of ninety-one years passed away Dominic Belvedere survived by his loving wife of 67 years Viola his children Wayne (Linda Tait), Brian (Carol Beshwaty) and Linda (Late Ted Goodwin), grandchildren, Gregory (Tracy Hume), Bradley (Jennifer Neville), Marc, Adam, Shannon (Scott Sjoholm), great-grandchildren, Glenn & Danielle. Predeceased by his brothers Michael, Joe, Jimmy, Tony and Hubert and his sister Carmella, survived by his sisters, Lena, Lucy and Adelina and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and families. A prominent business man in Montreal who had a passion for flowers and gardening stemming from his early childhood he started his career with the T. Eaton Company where he was manager of the flower and garden supplies, fruit and vegetables departments for many years. Looking for new opportunities he joined Morgan's in the oriental carpet department achieving top sales status. Being a true entrepreneur, he founded Belvedere Television and Television Engineering in the early 50s when televisions first came to Montreal. He then returned to his true love of flowers and founded Don Belvedere Florist in which he was involved till his 89th year. During his business career he was actively involved in the Canadian Italian Community serving as President of C.I.B.P.A. for 2 terms from 1975 to 1978. He was also strongly affiliated with the Casa D'Italia Association and the Order Sons of Italy. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
