Beloved wife of the late William M. Stevenson. Dear sister of Hazel Leamon of Huntingdon, Quebec. BEARDSLEY, Cyril (Veteran of W.W II). After suffering with Alzheimer's for several years, Cyril passed away peacefully on Friday February 16, 2007 at The Village of Erin Meadows, Mississauga. Cyril was born in Montreal Quebec November 24 1913, son of Joseph Beardsley and Ada Robinson. Loving husband for sixty-four years of the late Grace (nee Bunty Sullivan). Dearly loved father of Keith and his wife Bev, (Ottawa) and Glenn and his wife Dianne (Mississauga). Cherished grandpa of Christina and her husband David Boyer, and Dr. Kimberley Beardsley both of Ottawa and cherished "Poppie" of Patricia and Melissa Beardsley both of Mississauga. Brother of Peggy (Margaret) Imbeault of Montreal, Quebec. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Cyril was predeceased by his brother Ivan (1963). He worked for Harrison and Crossfield Ltd. for 48 years retiring July 1977. He served overseas enlisting in July 1940 and was demobilized in October 1945. ILCZENKO, Alexander Passed away suddenly in Toronto on Monday, February 19, 2007 at the age of 83. Dear son of the late Hordiy and Xenia Ilczenko. Beloved husband of Olga (nee Tkachenko-Mucha). Loving father of Alexander Ilchenko and his wife Ieva Osis. Dear brother of Vasily and his wife Nadia and dear uncle of Natasha Ivaneva and husband Volodymyr and children Olia and Sascha, of Odessa, Ukraine. Lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Nina Bulat, and his niece Helen Bulat-Matossian and husband Garbis, and children Shahan and Tamara. Alexander was born on July 15, 1923 in Ukraine, and immigrated to Canada in 1948. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1955. Alexander achieved his accounting designation as a Registered Industrial Accountant, earning a gold medal for having the highest standing in Canada. He was employed by CIL Industries and later the Federal Government in Ottawa, retiring in 1989. Alexander was an active parishioner of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of Ottawa. His passion was the religious and folk music of his native land, which led to many happy years as a member of the church choir and later as the director. KEITH (Wegg), Lota Waynne (nee Gray) After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer on February 19, 2007. She is predeceased by her husband Robert Vernon Wegg, and grandson Michael, and is survived by her second husband Ernest, children Susan (Bill), Valerie (Rod), and James; stepson Stephen (Renette), sister Karen (Neil), sisters-in-law Noreen, Shirley (Jim), Helen (George), Juanita and Olive, and brothers-in-law Ken (Jeanne), Fred (Marilyn), George (Janet), Ian, Jim and their extended families. She will be missed by her grandchildren Sarah, Mark and Jennifer, step-grandson Jamie, and many dear friends, particularly Norma, Gail, Marg and Marge. McNIECE, James (Jim) G. Passed way on Monday, February 19, 2007 at the age of 96. Jim was the dear husband of the late Elsie McNiece (nee Lewis), and brother of the late Marion Stinson, and Donald and Thomas McNiece, and father to Dr. Lynne C. McNiece and David (Sandy) J. McNiece, and grandfather to Sarah, Daniel and Andrew McNiece; and Maureen Addison, friend of Lynne. He will be missed greatly by all his friends and family. Jim was associated with the Rideau Township (now part of the City of Ottawa) for almost 30 years. First he was a member of the North Gower Township Area School Board and following that he was a member of the North Gower Township Council. He then took on the position of Clerk for the North Gower Township, which was then amalgamated into Rideau Township, before retiring in 1975. During his lifetime, Jim was always a true gentleman. He maintained a quiet but generous approach to many charitable organizations and was always very involved in his community. The family wishes to thank Dr. Patrick Leahy of Kemptville and the staff of Bayfield Manor and Kemptville District Hospital for their kind and caring support over the last few months. STEENBURGH, Stuart Wesley Peacefully at the Broadview Nursing Centre, Smiths Falls on Tuesday, February 20, 2007, Wes Steenburgh in his 90th year. Dear son of the late Christy and Ethel Steenburgh. Beloved husband of Evelyne Steenburgh. Loving father of Elizabeth DeMartinez (Leroy) of B.W.I., Stuart (Cathy) of Smiths Falls, David (Victoria) of Belleville, Craig (Cathy) of Ottawa, and Mark (Ann) of Smiths Falls. Wes was dearly loved by his 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Christy Steenburgh (Doris) of Peterborough. Wes retired in May 1981 as a C.P.R. Engineer after serving 38 years. He served as chairman of Div. 658 of Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers during the 1960s. Wes also received his private pilot's license from Bradley Air Services of Carp in 1957. He was a member of COPA, and a founding father of the Russ Beach-Smiths Falls-Montague Airport and an honorary lifetime member of the Smiths Falls Flying Club. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church since 1937, having served on many committees. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. SAINDERS, MARY AGNES - The passing of Mary Agnes (Durdan, McDonald) Sainders occurred on Monday, February 19th, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Fairville on September 6th, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Perley E. Durdan and Myrtle B. (Burgess) Durdan. Wife of the late Harold Sainders. LIND, JANE H. - The death of Jane Harthorn Lind of Quispamsis, wife of John Lind, occurred unexpectedly on Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the loving daughter of Natalie H. (Jones) Noseworthy of Saint John and the late Very Rev. Donald Wilbur Noseworthy. Jane was a School Teacher for over 20 years at various local schools and was currently teaching grade 9 at Kennebecasis Valley High School. Her family was the most important part of her life and she was always willing to do anything for anyone. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. LEVINE, LOUIS - Louis Levine, husband of the late Sarah Levine of Fredericton died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Born in Fredericton in 1916, he was the son of the late Abe and Basha Levine. Louis' lifetime devotion was to his immediate and extended family. He along with his father and brother were among the founding families of the Sgoolai Israel Synagogue, serving as senior religious advisor (Guba) for over 30 years, and proudly re-confirming his Bar Mitzvah at the age of 75. He was an active and lifetime member of the Kiwanis Club and spearheaded the organization that founded the Killarney Lake Park. A supportive member of the Fredericton Business Community, he and his brother Harryn founded Levine's Department Store, a cornerstone of the downtown business community for 50 years. He will be fondly remembered for his generosity and concern that he extended to so many throughout his lifetime. Survived by his two daughters, Ellen Levine of Fredericton, and Bonnie Levine and her husband, Fred Potash of Toronto, two granddaughters, Brittney Brightman and Jenna Potash and one grandson, Michael Potash all of Toronto; two brothers, Harry (Edith) and Weldon (Joan), and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to his two loving and devoted caregivers for six years, Bonnie Bright and June Skinner and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, one brother Jack; one son Jeffrey and various loving dogs. In the Jewish tradition, Sheva is observed commencing immediately following the burial, for one week. This is a time for family and friends (both Jewish and non-Jewish) to gather and honor the life of those who have passed. She was a member of St. Marks Church, Quispamsis, NB and their CWL, and the Ladies Glades of the R.A.O.B., enjoyed swimming, walking, exercising and drives in the car with her sisters. She is survived by sons, Richard (Linda) Duffy and Stephen (Patricia) both of Ontario; daughter, Shawn (Richard) McKillop of Quispamsis; brothers, John (Betty) LeBuffe and Arthur (Eileen) LeBuffe both of Ontario; sisters, Bernice (Floyd) Crandlemere of Alberta, Doreen LeBlanc of Summerville, NB, Shirley Ann (Vincent) Richard of Ontario; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by brother, Albert LeBuffe. BELYEA, DANIEL O. - It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Daniel O. Belyea, husband of Dodie (H. Doreen Northrup). Born in Brown's Flat on February 3, 1916, he was the son of the late Alfred D. and Mary Jane (Nelson) Belyea. Dan was a carpenter by trade and a life long member of Wesley United Church Brown's Flat, having served as an Elder, Trustee, Choir Member and Assistant Sunday School Superintendent. EDMONDSON, ANNIE JANE The passing of Annie Jane (Shepard) Edmondson, formerly of Burtt's Corner, NB, wife of the late, Earl Edmondson, occurred on February 20, 2007 at York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB. Born on April 17, 1913 in Burtt's Corner, NB, she was a daughter of the late Beverly and Clara (Brewer) Shepard. Annie used to be a cook for York Manor and for the Victoria Public Hospital. She was a member of the Burtt's Corner Church of Christ, Burtt's Corner. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Survived by one daughter, Blanche Brewer (John) of Burtt's Corner; one son, Ivan Edmondson (Sheila) of Douglas; five grandchildren, Cathy, Bradley, Kelli, Betty and Trent; eight great grandchildren, Alan, Hollie, Maxine, Ricky, David, Nicole, Daniel and Mychel. MUNN, RICHARD MICHAEL The passing of Richard M. Munn of French Lake occurred at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday February 20, 2007 at the age of 54. WALFORD, MARJORIE ANN - Peacefully, with her daughter by her side, Marjorie Walford, age 66, wife of Karl Walford, passed away on Feb. 10, 2007 at the London Health Science Centre, London, Ontario. Born in St. Martins, she spent her childhood in Saint John, N.B. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Muriel (MacDonald) King. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter Linda Walford, London, Ontario, brother Harley (Carolyn) King, St. Martins, sister Shirley (Ward) Gillcrist, St. Martins, one uncle, several aunts, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by infant son, Robert, and a brother Clarence. Marjorie loved life, and made everyone smile. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Faye Grace Forsythe 1921-2007 Mrs. Faye Grace Forsythe passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2007 after a valiant struggle with cancer. Faye was the wife of Murdock William (Peoples Park Tower). The couple celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on September 6, 2006. Born and raised in Moncton, she was the daughter of Victor Hathaway Scott and Anne Morrill (Hingley) Scott of West Street and Edgett Avenue. Faye is survived by one brother, Donald (Jennie) Scott of Coquitlam, B.C.; one son, Murdock Conrad (Judy) of Barrington Passage, N.S.; one daughter, Anne Laura (Roger) Moore of Markham, ON; grandchildren Todd, Jodi, Scott (Jodi), Brett (Arden), Kent (Jennifer); great granddaughter, Dayna Forsythe; and numerous nieces and nephews across Canada. In the early 1960's, Faye's astute secretarial and administrative skills were applied at the Blue Cross in Moncton and later in the Dietary Department at The Moncton Hospital and for The Department of Correctional Services. During the mid 1960's she worked at The Toronto Stock Exchange, The Maxilla Clinic at The Hospital for Sick Children and in the Evaluation and Measurement Department at The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. As a senior Faye was involved and committed to her community, especially by entertaining others with her songs and dances. Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, February 24 from 1 to 2 pm. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 o'clock in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Frank Curtis officiating. A reception for Faye's family and friends will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room. The family's gratitude is extended to Dr. Rubin, Dr. Mukherjee, the oncology team and the entire staff of 6600 of The Moncton Hospital for their excellent medical and professional care during Faye's illness. Ernest Wallace 1926-2007 Pointe du Chêne, NB - Ernest Wallace of Pointe du Chêne passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Tuesday, February 20th, 2007 at the age of 80. Born in Pointe du Chêne on October 17th, 1926, he was the son of the late Vincent and Emma (Gallant) Wallace. He was a retired electrician. A life long resident of Pointe du Chêne, Ernie will be deeply missed. He enjoyed nature and loved driving his truck to Pointe du Chêne wharf and Ste-Anne's. During winter, Ernie would go by skidoo to Shediac Island to feed the squirrels. He was an avid amateur Radio Operator known as VE1GH - The Green Hornet. Ernie will be greatly missed by his two sons, Randall (Jocelyn) of Shediac, Darren (Janet Léger) of Pointe du Chêne; two sisters, Doreen Hendrickson of Pointe du Chêne and Shirley Champoux (Alex) of Antigonish, N. S.; two grandsons, Mitchell and Jonathan; his former wife, Doris Wallace of St. Antoine; and by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, Laurie Wallace.
