Survived by his siblings Nellie (Keimpe Jansen), Fred, Cora (Del Ballard), Tina (Hans Pos), Shirley (Bill Archer), Marg Hoekstra (Gerry Sabourin), Marcel (Lena) and Rose (Skip McKenzie). He will also be missed by his mother-in-law Sally Robinson of Trenton, brothers-in-law Rob of Fernie, B.C., Chuck and Bruce (Cindy) of Kamloops, B.C. and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by his parents Pietje De Vegt and Jan Veenstra. FERRIS, SHARON ROSE (EDISON) - passed away suddenly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, April 2nd, 2006. Sharon lived on Highland Road, Saint John North with her loving husband Robert "Bub" W. Ferris. Born in Saint John on August 16th, 1956 to Barbara (Sweet) Edison and the late Charles Edison. She was employed at Eddie Bauer Call Centre for the last five years. Sharon was a member of the Ben Lomond Bowling League, enjoyed the outdoors and long drives with her family. Besides her husband Rob and mother Barbara; Sharon is survived by two daughters: Cheryl Dureen and Rachel (Chris) Goodman; three stepdaughters: Tosha, Shannon and Danielle Ferris; granddaughter: Taylar Ferris; four brothers: Jack (Jane), Chuck (Linda), Dan (Sherry), and Jeff Edison; two sisters: Diane and Tracey Edison; special family friend Janet Buckley; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. PIECHOTTA Colette Anna Colette Anna Piechotta, beloved wife of Alphonse of Calgary, passed away at Forest Grove Nursing Home, surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at the age of 84 years. Colette will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bill and Lynn, Josie and Roger (Howerton), Joe and Louise, Charlotte and Miles (Monsell), Marguerite and Brian (Breeze). Also greatly loved and dearly missed by nine grandchildren, Katrina and Suzanne; Jerry and Jody (Craig Werbicki); Clark, Matthew, Cole and Garhett; and Adam (Kora); and two great-grandchildren, Chase and Ashley Werbicki. Born January 8, 1922 in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, Colette married her Saskatchewan Sweetheart, her "Dearest Darling Al", and together they raised their children in Calgary. Her family was her purpose. Il tait de religion catholique avec une grande dvotion pour la Sainte Mre. Durant son jeune temps, il aimait la chasse et la pche. Il tait bien connu pour son travail avec le bois et pour les jeux de cartes, il etait membre du Club Amical. Les gens se souviendront de son bon sense d'humour, mme dans ses temps de maladie, mais d'abord et avant tout, il se souviendront de lui comme bon homme de famille. Sylvia Thériault (1935-2006) l'Acadie Nouvelle - 4 avril 2006 HAUT-PAQUETVILLE - À l’Hôpital de Tracadie-Sheila, le dimanche 2 avril 2006, à l’âge de 70 ans, est décédée entourée des siens Sylvia Thériault, épouse de Donald Thériault, domiciliée à Haut-Paquetville. Elle était fille de feu George Landry et de feu Olga Cormier. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil sa deuxième mère, Joséphine Landry de Paquetville; cinq enfants: Denise (Marcel Gallant) de Cormier-Village, Colette (Denis Laverdière) et Louis, tous deux de Paquetville, Rachel (Pierre Landry) de Shédiac et Marco (Johanne Godin) de Miramichi; dix petits-enfants dont elle était grandement fière: Monic, François, Lise, Pascale, Claudie, Jolaine, Karine, Miguel, Moïka et Alex; ses frères et soeurs: Ernest (Réjeanne) de Bathurst, Odette (Léonard Goguen) de Cocagne, Marielle (Raymond LeBlanc) de Dieppe, Bernard (Léona) de Maisonnette, Bernise (Roland Robichaud) de Petit-Paquetville et Réjeanne (Roger Frigault) de Saint-Jean, ainsi que plusieurs oncles, tantes, beaux-frères, belles-soeurs, nièces, neveux, cousins et cousines, dont une cousine spéciale, Corinne. MARSHALL, Thérèse Marie Marthe Marin Née à Trois-Rivières, Québec, le samedi 14 novembre 1925. Décédée à l'âge de 80 ans, d'une courte maladie, le vendredi 31 mars 2006. Thérèse, veuve de Samuel Marshall de Terre-Neuve, s'est installée à Toronto en septembre 1948. Mère affec-tueuse de Robert Marshall, grand-mère ai-mée de Tracey Marshall Milne et de son époux Jon W. Milne ainsi que de Kevin R. Marshall et arrière-grand-mère bien-aimée de Frederick S. W. Milne. Précédée dans la mort par sa soeur Yolande, elle quitte son frère Roland Marin, sa soeur Noella Marin, sa chère belle-soeur Violette Marshall et Jeanine Marin, ses plus chè-res amies Hellen (Nell) Cull et Kathy Imre et son petit-cousin André Marin, ombuds-man de l'Ontario et ses neveux et nièces de Terre-Neuve, Québec, Ontario, Alberta et d'ailleurs. Thérèse était un membre res-pecté du club naval de Toronto et une joueuse passionnée d'Euchre et de dards. Elle dansait et chantait avec élan et joie de vivre. Bien que toute frêle, Thérèse était une femme forte, de caractère qui a défendu et tenu à ses droits ainsi qu'à son héritage de Canadienne sans jamais ployer devant le nombre, la popularité et la ténacité des détracteurs. Cette fierté a été inculquée à son fils, ses petits-fils et son arrière-petit-fils. Elle est décédée, insou-mise et invaincue. Elle nous manquera énormément. Rappelée à la maison de Dieu, nous la reverrons car ce n'est pas un adieu, simplement un au revoir. Je re-commande à Dieu l'esprit de ma maman. McEACHERN, MURIEL - A joyous sound was heard in the heavens as Muriel Jean McEachern of 37 Lomond Ct., passed from this earth on Sunday, April 2, 2006, at the Saint John Regional Hospital and was reunited with her beloved husband, Kenneth, and precious sons Michael and Stephen. Mrs. McEachern was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Edmund Isaac and Hazel Agnes (Chartrand) Strayhorn, and had been employed for many years in the meat department of Dominion Stores and I.G.A. Muriel's life was one of love and devotion to family and a commitment to provide a warm, happy, and humorous home. All who entered were welcomed and fed. Her wants and needs were few, but oh so giving to others. She enjoyed the very simple pleasures in life, sitting at her kitchen table and having her morning tea; daily phone conversations with her sons and visits from her grandchildren; living with her only daughter and looking after her grandniece, Reese Elizabeth (Reesie-bear), many joyful hours were spent seeing the world in a whole new light through a child's eyes; baking many a delicious batch of cookies, bread, and preserves; playing Friday and Saturday night bingo with her dear friend, Mona. She is survived by two sons: K. Mark and Troy D., both of Saint John; one daughter: Katherine A. McEachern of Saint John; one brother: Kenneth G. Strayhorn of Saint John; one sister: Kay Tobias (Butch) of Bowmanville, Ont.; two grandchildren: Michael and Rachael. OSVATH Bela (Bill) Mr. Bela (Bill) Osvath of Calgary passed away peacefully with his family at his side on April 2, 2006 at the Foothills Medical Centre at the age of 77 years. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Sarolta; one son Tibor (Allison); one daughter Charlotte Osvath (Robert Jackson); three treasured grandchildren, Ayden, Jessica and Isabella, all of Calgary. He is also survived by three brothers, three sisters, all of Hungary, and his mother-in-law of Calgary. He came to Calgary in 1956 and was employed by CP Rail for thirty-five years. LOFSTROM Josephine Helen (nee Wizniak) Josephine Helen (nee Wizniak) Lofstrom, beloved mother, passed away on April 1, 2006, after a brief but courageous struggle with cancer. She is survived by her children, Brenda of Calgary, Marilyn and her husband Terry Andrichuk of Calgary, Randell and his wife Laurel of Prince Albert, SK and Gloria and her husband Sam Stephenson of Calgary. Grandma is survived by her beloved grandchildren, Nicolas and Stephen Andrichuk, Justine and Erick Lofstrom and Harris, James and Spence Stephenson. Josie is also survived by her brothers, Lawrence (Pat) Wizniak of Calgary, Maron (Myrna) Wizniak of Kamloops; sister Angie (Robert) Fraser of Calgary; sisters-in-law, Ellen, Grimm, Viola (Calvin) Dafoe and Winnie Lofstrom; and brother-in-law Roy Lofstrom, all of Canwood, SK; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Josie was predeceased by her dear husband Oscar in 1997, as well as her parents, Michael Wizniak and Mary (Wizniak) Herrebos, and stepfather Fred Herrebos. Josie was born on the family farm in Fishing River, MB on March 3, 1932. She and her family later moved to Melfort, SK. She met Oscar and they married on May 20, 1951 and lived in Melfort until they moved to Prince Albert in 1962. Josie moved to Calgary in 1998 to be near her daughters. Oscar worked for the CNR, but he and Josie also farmed part-time near Canwood. They loved the peace and quiet of the farm, and Josie spent many happy years there gardening, visiting relatives, picking berries and caring for her family. She enjoyed bowling, volunteering at her church, needle arts and traveling. Mom was the most kind and loving woman who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Her family wishes to thank Nurse Carol, her Home Care colleagues and Dr. P. Toye for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Josie's name to Ducks Unlimited Canada. GREER, HERBERT JOHN - The death of Herbert J. Greer occurred at his home in Bolsover, Ont. on March 29, 2006. Herb was born in Saint John on Sept. 15, 1937. He was the son of the late Harold and Henrietta (Cooke) Greer. He is survived by his brother George J. Greer (Gayle), Fredericton, N.B. and his sister Blanche Thompson (William), Saint John, as well as his nieces and nephews. Herb was predeceased by his wife Estelle.
