GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. - Daisy M. LeClair, 100, died Sunday, Nov. 13, at La Posada in Green Valley, Ariz.. She had been a resident there for 3½ years.She was born in Rumford Corner on Aug. 19, 1905, the daughter of Edwin K. and Lura Swett Martin. She graduated from Woodstock High School in 1923. After teaching one year in Hanover, she attended Burdett Business College and then worked in the office of Kresges Five & Ten in Lynn, Mass.Daisy married John Sylvere LeClair in 1926, and lived in Bethel for more than 70 years. After working for 22 years in the Bethel Post Office, she retired in 1967. She was a member of the West Parish Congregational Church and Bethel Historical Society.Survivors are a son, Gilbert C. LeClair and wife, Carol R. LeClair of Green Valley, Ariz.; brothers, Leroy Day (Lois) and Robert Day (Wilma) of Bryant Pond; granddaughters, Judith LeClair (Gary Hultman) of Green Valley, Ariz., and Susan LeClair of Tucson, Ariz.; a great-granddaughter, Brooke LeClair Daniels (Matthew) of Waltham, Mass.; one great-great-granddaughter, Sophia Claire Daniels; and several nieces and nephews.Daisy was predeceased by her husband, Syl; and sister, Diana Forsyth of Topsham.Daisy and Sophia (at 12 weeks old), representing a span of five generations, met in August to celebrate Daisy's 100th birthday!

LIZAR, Claire (nee Robillard) Born in Ottawa, died in St. Catharines, ON, November 11, 2005. Claire will be missed by her loving husband Bernard, devoted daughters Linda and Bernice, all of St. Catharines; and her grandson Mark (Caroline) and great-grandson Benjamin from London, England. She also leaves behind her brothers, Robert (Elayne) in Ottawa and Leo (Terry) in Montreal as well as one sister Marina in Ottawa. Predeceased by her parents, three sisters and two brothers. LACONIA — Edna W. Dube, 93, of the Taylor Community, died at the Congregate Living Center on Monday, Nov. 14, 2005. She was born April 8, 1912, in Dover, N.H., the daughter of George F. and Grace E. (Stuart) White. She attended the Dover schools and was a 1930 graduate of Dover High School. From 1930-1933, she received her nurse's training at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Dover and was employed at Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, from 1933-1952. She was the operating room supervisor for 12 years. She then worked with Dr. Ralph Adams for 7 years before retiring in 1959. Along with Dr. Adams, she wrote a procedure for the R.N. Magazine on sanitation procedures in an operating room.Mrs. Dube and her late husband, Ralph Dube, were married for nearly 60 years. In September 1994, she moved from Center Ossipee to the Taylor Community in Laconia, where she volunteered at the Community Living Center for two years. She was a member of the Odd Ladies for 25 years and was a member of the Pocahontas Home for a number of years.She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Laconia-Gilford.She is survived by a stepsister, Mary Thibodeau of Florida and Harrison, Maine, and two nephews and two nieces. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Dube, in 2002.There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 500 Gilford Ave., Gilford. The Rev. Dr. Victoria Wood Parish, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in the family lot in Pine Hill Cemetery, Dover, N.H. Loving husband and best friend of Connie Carroll for 33 years, and proud father of Timothy John Webster. Hans Sigg, 77 Hans Sigg died suddenly of a heart attack in his home in Prescott on Oct. 1, 2005. He was born on Jan. 15, 1928 in Wangen I/Allgau, West Germany. He was the son of Yohann Sigg and the former Theresa Hiempel, both of Germany. On Feb. 20, 1954, he married Rosa Schwartz and emigrated to Prescott in 1956. During his early years in Prescott, he worked on the St. Lawrence Seaway. In 1960, he joined Jameco Manufacturing and remained with the company until his retirement in 1996. Mr. Sigg was an avid reader who also enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. His constant companion was Smitty, the dachshund. Most residents of Prescott would have seen Hans with Smitty, walking him downtown or by the waterfront. This dachshund dog became a big part of his life, and where you saw Hans, you saw Smitty. Hans particularly enjoyed muskie fishing and was one of the recognized muskie experts in Eastern Ontario. Another area of expertise Hans had was his gardening. He grew some of the largest vegetables including tomatoes, zucchini, carrots, green peppers, beets and radishes and entered them in the Spencerville Fair. He won first place for the biggest vegetables in the fair each September for the majority of his entries. He is survived by his wife Rosa Sigg, son Peter of Calgary, James (Jim) and his friend France Froats and his grandchildren Cary, Kimberly and Caitlin Sigg, all of Prescott. He was the brother of Kuny, Eva, Grentel, Egon and Rudy, all of Germany, who also survive. Mr. Sigg was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Friedeline. The funeral was held Oct. 5 at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Prescott with Father Appelman officiating, followed by burial at St. Mark's Cemetery. The eulogy was given by Bernie Currier, a friend of the family. Pallbearers were Lewis Beach, Brent Salmon, Ed Riddell, Lloyd Travis, Don Lockhart and Shawn Patrick. Honourary pallbearers were David Chasin, Earl Nielsen and Cary Sigg. Memorial donations were directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements were entrusted to the Chris Slater Funeral Home in Prescott.

AIME L. PLOUFFE COLCHESTER - Aime L. Plouffe, 90, of Roosevelt Highway died early Monday morning, Nov. 14, 2005, at his home in Colchester. Aime was born April 19, 1915, one of 10 children to the late Napoleon and Roseanna Petrin Plouffe in Dunham, P.Q., Canada. He was educated in Dunham, P.Q., and on June 19, 1937, he was married to Aurea Simone Goulet in St. Ignace, P.Q. Together they moved to their present location in Colchester in January of 1949 where he continued dairy farming. They opened the Elm Hill Farm Gift Shop in 1950. The shop was completely family owned and operated until 1985 when it was sold. Following 1966 when he sold the milking cows, Aime became successful in all of his various business ventures which included selling Christmas trees, cedar fencing and furniture and other articles too numerous to list. He enjoyed traveling in the winter, visiting Florida and Mexico on several occasions. He enjoyed life and treasured his family to the fullest. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children, Napoleon and Pierre Plouffe, both of Colchester, Carmen Kyllo and her husband, Richard, of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter-in-law Nancy Plouffe of Colchester; and five grandchildren, Roxanne Sibley, Roslyn, Aime Charles and Andre Michael Plouffe, and Julie Ann Mann; three great-grandchildren, Alison and Andre Everett Plouffe, and Ivy Marie Mann. He was predeceased by his wife of over 60 years, Aurea, on June 8, 1998; his son, Andre, on Nov. 28, 1995; and his six brothers and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 76 Main St. in Colchester. Burial will follow in the Colchester Village Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the kind people at the Visiting Nurse Hospice Program for the gracious compassion provided their father during his illness, therefore, if one wishes, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Champlain Valley in care of the VNA, 1110 Prim Road, Suite 1, Colchester, Vt. 05446. Visiting Hours will be held today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton.

BERTHA ANNA KOTT Bertha Anna Kott, wife of Jack Kott, who predeceased her in May, 2005, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005 in Pouce Coupe, B.C. at 80 years of age. She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Oddy and son-in-law, Ted Oddy, of Dawson Creek, B.C.; grandson, Edward (Tammy); granddaughters, Shauna (Jason), Tammy (Wes), and Alanna (Phil); and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 14, 2005 at Reyhars Funeral Home in Dawson Creek.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Clavette, of Madawaska; one daughter, Michline Epstein and her husband, Mark, of Madawaska; two sons, Philip Clavette, of Madawaska and Daniel Clavette and his husband, Brendan, of Boston, Mass.; five brothers, Roger Theriault and his wife, Lyse, of Montreal, P.Q., Canada, Marcel Theriault and his wife, Danielle, of Rimouski, P.Q., Theo Theriault and his wife, Claudette, of Prince Edward Island, N.S., Canada, Bertrand Theriault of Edmundston, N.B., Jean Theriault and his wife, Monique, of Huntington Beach, Calif.; four sisters, Jacqueline Newton of Carmel, Calif., Elizabeth Theriault of Granby, P.Q., Madeleine Theriault-Polchies of St. Andrews, N.B., Brigette Theriault of Longueuil. P.Q.; three very special grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua and Zachary Epstein; many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, 7355 rue Lajeunesse. Cremation will follow.
