WILLMOT, Helen May (nee Ford) Died peacefully on October 22, 2005 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur Rutherford Ford and May Lavinia Ford (nee Scott). Cherished mother to Margo Willmot (Bill Bousada) of Carleton Place and Julie Willmot of Toronto. Predeceased by son, Brian, of Toronto. Devoted Nana to Benjamin, Graeme and Jonas Bousada. Predeceased by loving brothers, Gordon (Francis) of Toronto, Robert (Teresa) of France and Ken (Mary) of Vancouver. Dear aunt to Joan Ford and Kathy Ford of Vancouver. Predeceased by niece, Helene Anderson (Andy) of Edmonton. Graduate of Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing. Was an Aviation writer and Canadian Representative for Interavia of Geneva and Lockheed Aircraft Corporation of California. Member of the Aviation/Space Writers Association, President of The Media Club of Canada (Ottawa), and member of the National Press Club of Canada. Her generosity, compassion and loving nature touched and inspired many lives. The family would like to thank the staff at The Carleton Lodge and Freda Johnson, for their loving and dedicated care. OBITUARY JOZEF A. SALOMON-DE-FRIEDBERG Passed away on October 19, 2005 at Hopital Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Alexandria, Ontario at the age of 85 years. Jozef was born on April 24, 1920 in Teresin, Poland. He was a Flight Lieutenant in the 305 Polish Squadron of the RAF during World War II. In 1946, he married Jadwiga Maczynska and the family emigrated to Canada in 1953. Jozef worked as a dyer for several textile companies in Canada and the United States before his retirement in 1985. His passions in life were tennis, bridge and hockey and in later years, his vegetable garden. He was generous and kind and always willing to lend a hand. He loved good jokes, funny stories and he liked to sing. His family meant the world to him and he always thought of them first. He is survived by his wife, Jadwiga, his children, Barbara, Elizabeth, Henry, Zofia and Adam, his grandchildren, Tristan and Cameron, his brothers Rudek Friedberg (Sacramento, California) and Andrzej Friedberg (Belfast, Prince Edward Island), his sisters Teresa Kaczmarek (Nottingham, England) and Maria Wisoky (Hobart, Tasmania). The funeral will take place on Friday, October 28, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Finnan's Cathedral in Alexandria, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's favourite charity. FORT KENT - Martha M. Jarrett, 73, died suddenly Oct. 25, 2005, at a local healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 18, 1932, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Belonie and Laura (Michaud) Gagnon. Martha worked as a police dispatcher for the Town of Fort Kent for 18 years. She was a member of the St. Louis Choir, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, C.O.F., and the Ladies of St. Anne, all of Fort Kent. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Joseph and his wife, Peggy, Mark and his wife, Maureen, all of Fort Kent and Laure and her husband, Norman Roy, of Eagle Lake; one brother, Gilman Gagnon of Connecticut; one sister, Dora Dumond of Fort Kent; six grandchildren and one great-grandson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers and one sister. Friends may call 8 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the Daigle and Nadeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. James Nadeau officiating. Committal service will follow in the parish cemetery. Richard J. Girardin, 57, of Lexington St., Bristol, died Monday (October 24, 2005) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford. Richard was born in Bristol on July 22, 1948 and was a son of the late Raymond and Stephanie (Cormier) Girardin. He lived in Bristol most of his life and for the past 20 years he was employed at Stephen's Auto Mall, Bristol. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of St. Ann Church, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Richard is survived by his fiancée, Barbara J. Nowak of Bristol; a brother, Leo Girardin of Bristol; a nephew, Zachary Girardin of Bristol; several cousins; and he was like a father to Michael, Nicholas, and Molly Wentland. He was predeceased by a brother, John Girardin. SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY -- Marjorie Bois, 63, of Saratoga Springs, went home to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 23, 2005 while surrounded by her family. A Christ follower, she was active in the Saratoga Grace Brethren Church. She gave generously to the poor, to missionaries and wherever she saw the Lord at work. Many lives were impacted by her life. As a school bus driver, she drove for many years for Saratoga City Schools and Shenendehowa School District. Most recently, she drove preschoolers for Stanski Transportation. Marge loved children. She will be most greatly missed by her husband of 44 years, Andy Bois; and her children, Mark Bois of Saratoga Springs, Glenn and Cindy Bois of Saratoga Springs, Gabrielle and Dennis Haynes of Ballston Spa and Chrissy and Neil Ogden of Galway. She was greatly loved by her grandchildren, Daniel, Raechel and Callie Haynes and Logan and Dillon Ogden. Mrs. Robichaux was a devoted mother and caregiver to her three children, whom she adopted following the untimely death of her sister, Nell and brother-in-law, Frederick Louis Wohn.Prior to moving to Staunton, she was an active member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Franklin for over 50 years, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, and member of the Women's Group and Altar Guild, for which she served as Chairperson for many years. She volunteered at Franklin Foundation Hospital for over 30 years during which time she was manager of the hospital gift shop. Col. Daniel Louis La Basse, US Army (Ret.), died at his Venetian Isles residence as a result of Hurricane Katrina's initial storm surge. He was 78. Col. La Basse was a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA as were generations of his ancestors. The ""Colonel,'' as he was called, was known as a responsible and self-made man of integrity, strong will, and clear eye, with many and varied intellectual and manual talents. Energetic and hardworking, he was devoted to his family throughout his life. Col. La Basse served for 20 years with the United States Army, in the United States, Europe and Korea. While in the Army, he earned his undergraduate degree in accounting and his Masters of Business Administration. After retiring, he worked for the Internal Revenue Service and later built his own private accounting practice. He is survived by his daughter, Dianne L. La Basse, of New York City; his son, Daniel L. La Basse, Jr., of Houston, TX; a sister, Rosemary Florey, of Shreveport, LA; her children, Daphne Caldwell and James B. Florey, M.D.; and Jim's daughter, Kathryn Florey. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Donna Rosa La Basse, of Cottonport, LA, who died in 1993, and his parents, Daniel Louis La Basse and Reine Dragon La Basse, who resided for many years on St. Claude Avenue in New Orleans, LA. AUBURN— Margaret E. Germain, died peacefully on Monday, October 24th in Worcester at the age of 92. Her husband, Paul "Frenchy" Germain died in 1974. She was born in Auburn, daughter of the late Emil and Hannah (Forristrom) Nordberg. She lived in Auburn all of her life and raised her four children there. She leaves her daughter and caregiver, Phyllis P. Giles of Auburn, a daughter, Carolyn L., wife of Roger L. Gemme of Grafton, a son, Ronald E. Germain of Paxton and son, David N. Germain of Brookfield. She also leaves 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her sister Martha Powell and brothers, Harold, Herbert, and Hugo Nordberg all predeceased her. She was fun loving person who enjoyed cooking, crocheting and doting on her grandchildren. She was known for her quick wit and to spout out Swedish phrases from time to time. She took great pride in being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was loved dearly and will be missed immensely. MT. AIRY, Md. — Sandra L. Dion, 65, of Mt. Airy, Md., passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005.Born Jan. 16, 1940, in Laconia, N.H., she was the daughter of Walter Joseph Clement and Roberta Peterson. In 1983, she moved to Maryland, and in 1987, went to work for Crowell and Moring Attorneys At Law, ("C&M"), Washington, D.C. At C&M she was the administrative coordinator of a major practice area in the firm. Very recently she served as vice president of the Mt. Airy Main Street Association (MAMSA) working for the enhancement of the downtown business community. She was a founding member of the Greens at Manorwood Homeowners Association and served on the Board of Directors for five years as chair of the Landscape Committee. She leaves to cherish her memory, her spouse, devoted companion and best friend of 31 years, Robert O. Goodman; his three sons, Rob, Tyron and Martin; her two sons, Roger J. JUDITH ANN ROY COLCHESTER - Judith Ann Roy, 58, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, in the Vermont Respite House following several years of failing health. She was born March 12, 1947, in Montpelier, the daughter of Leola (Eldred) Roy. She was a graduate of Burlington High School and attended Champlain College. Judy had been an insurance adjuster for numerous years. She is survived by her mother, Leola Roy of Burlington; her sister, Elaine and her husband, Jorjick Minassian, of Colchester; her uncles and their families, Kendall Eldred and his family, Richard Eldred and his family, the family of her predeceased uncle Alan Eldred; and many very close and caring friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 28, at 1:30 p.m. in the First Congregational Church in Burlington with burial in Lakeview Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. She lived her final days with us like each that came before - with courage, strength and grace. Carole (LaPlante) Shea, 63, of Manchester, died Saturday, (October 22, 2005) after a courageous battle with Cancer. She was born May 1, 1942 in Hartford, daughter of the late Arthur and Stephanie (Medenski) LaPlante and had lived in East Hartford before moving to Manchester 43 years ago. She was predeceased by a brother Arthur LaPlante Jr. and a sister Gail Nancy LaPlante. Mrs. Shea was retired from the Hartford Board of Education nearly eleven years ago. Carole enjoyed gardening, photography, painting, traveling the New England countryside and loved gourmet cooking. She leaves two sons, Stephen M. Shea and Kevin P. Shea both of Manchester, a brother Jack LaPlante and his wife Pat also of Manchester, a sister Sandra Gray and her husband Dalton of Dixmont, ME., a sister-in-law Karen LaPlante of Enfield, two grandchildren, Rebecca Shea of Waterville, ME. and Matthew Shea of Manchester, nieces and nephews, John LaPlante of West Hartford, Suzanne LaPlante, Brian LaPlante and Michelle LaPlante all of Glastonbury, Travis LaPlante of Enfield, James Lockwood and Kathy Lockwood both of Massachusetts. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 27 at 8 p.m. at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St., Manchester. Calling hours will be Thursday at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be private in the East Cemetery. Robert Joseph Moreau, Sr., a wonderful husband and outstanding father, passed away Friday, October 21, 2005, due to a massive heart attack. He was 66 years old. Mr. Moreau was a graduate of Redemptorist High School class of 1957, was born in New Orleans and had resided in Kenner for the past 20 years. ""Teady'' was on the administrative committee for the T.A.K. Social Club, and he proudly served his country aboard the USS Bradford-DD545 as a machinist mate in the U.S. Navy. He helped launch many of the sporting leagues in Lafreniere Park such as soccer, softball and baseball. Beyond being a great husband and father, he enjoyed drawing, wood burning, carpentry, mechanics, fishing, donating blood, charity work, music and dancing. While his primary occupation was a self-made hair stylist with 30+ years of experience, to his customers he was so much more. Bob always wanted to help others. That was Bob, that's who he was. To know him was to know a truly great man who always extended himself to one and all, or at the very least, he made you laugh and smile. He will be extremely missed by all that have met him. He is survived by his two sons, Robert, Jr. and Ty Moreau; his brothers, Jerry and Weston; sister, Barbara; mother-in-law, Marguerite Hauser and granddaughter, Alyssa. 1977 - 2005 Notre musicien rêvait de faire Paris-Dakkar, et il nous disait « que la vie est bonne. » Sébastien savait aimer et accepter chacun. Notre philosophe aimait la vie. Son départ à 28 ans d’un accident de moto, laisse une grande peine à sa famille et ses nombreux amis. Il va manquer à sa mère, Danielle Trudel, son papa, Ghislain Théberge et sa conjointe Claire Boulé, son frère Jean-Philippe et sa femme Catherine, sa soeur complice Sophie, sa grande soeur Manon et son amoureux Jacques.
