Toussaint, 51, died Saturday at Capital Health System at Mercer.She was born in Racine, WI and had resided in this area for over 17 years.She was employed as a corrections officer for over 15 years at the Garden State Youth Corrections Facility.Diane was a member of both FOP Lodge #200 and PBA Lodge #105. She was a collector of antiques and was an avid fan of the Packers football team and the Trenton Titans Hockey Club.She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Toussaint; a son, Jason Vargas and his fiancee Hillary of Browns Mills; three daughters and a son-in-law, Kristin and Kevin Adams of Cinnaminson, Kelly Vargas of Florence and Kelly Toussaint of Mount Laurel; two brothers, Jeffrey Roeder of Phoenix, AZ and Gerald Roeder Jr. of Racine, WI; her father-in-law, Frederick Toussaint of New York; a brother-in-law, William Toussaint and spouse Sharon of New York; a grandson, Nicholas Adams; and several nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held 5 p.m. Thursday from the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown City.Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Gaston G. Sirois of Salem, a retired diesel marine engineer and World War II veteran, died Sunday at Salem Hospital after a brief illness. He was 82. A lifelong resident of Salem, Mr. Sirois graduated from Salem High School in 1941. He attended the Franklin Institute and Wentworth Institute, both in Boston. He served in the Navy during World War II, positioned in the European, African and Middle-Eastern areas, and attained the rating of signalman 1st class. He owned and operated the former Boston Diesel Co. in Boston, before working for the former Munro Dry Dock in Chelsea. He was later an employee of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, where he worked until his retirement in the mid-1990s. Mr. Sirois was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem and a life member of the Veraugua Council 76, Knights of Columbus. He was also a former member of the Palmer Cove Yacht Club in Salem and the Gerry Club in Marblehead. Husband of the late Carolyn (Hincman), he is survived by a son, Thomas J. of Cheshire, Conn; three daughters, Maryan M. Mailo and Virginia R. Fournier of Peabody, and Susan C. of Salem; eight grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Salem. Richard J. "Dick" Albert, 77, of New Britain, passed away Monday, (October 24, 2005) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford. He was the beloved husband of Rolande (Randee Roy) Albert for 54 years. Richard was born April 7, 1928 in St. Agathe, ME and was the son of the late Emile and Anastasia (Tardiff) Albert. Richard was a member of Teamster Local #671 and was employed by B.W. Brown Trucking, Berlin, and Vallerie Transportation, South Windsor, until his retirement in 1992. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the U.S. Army 45th Division of Oklahoma, 126th Infantry as a Platoon Sergeant in Korea. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal after being wounded at Porkchop Hill. Mr. Albert was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, The Franco-American War Veterans, both of New Britain, American Legion Post #5 in Brattleboro, VT, The National Rifle Assoc. and North American Fishing Club, The American Association of Retired Persons, and St. Jean Baptiste Societe and the French Model Club, both of New Britain. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. Besides his wife, Rolande, Richard is survived by five children, David Albert and daughter-in-law, Laurie of Hinsdale, NH, Maureen Albert-Piascik, widow of Edward Piascik of So. Newfane, VT, Carol Dinda and son-in-law, William of So. Meriden, Janice Clough and son-in-law, Edwin of Hinsdale, NH, Kathleen Albert-DeNigris and son-in-law, Chris of New Britain; three brothers, Roger Albert of Bristol, Gilbert Albert of Waterbury, and Clifford Albert of Southington; three sisters, Theresa Mirmina of Plainville, Georgette Alfano of Amston, and Carlene Dube of Windsor; nine grandchildren; including just born, first great grandchild, Kayla Dinda of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by three brothers, Euclide, George and Ovide Albert and two sisters, Lillian Albert and Marie Mae Bendott. Funeral rites will be held Thursday, October 27, at 8:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Barbara Margaret Rosalie McKay It is with great sadness and sorrow, we the McKay family announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, great granddaughter, cousin and friend. Barbara is the beloved daughter of Russell and Christine McKay. Barbara enjoyed going to school at Shaughnessy Park where she attended grade 8. Some of her favorite things to do where to sing and listen to modern teenage music, and her favorite artist was Gretchen Wilson. She enjoyed watching the cooking network in which she would get ideas for cooking dinners for her father. She enjoyed life and was a happy go lucky kind of girl. She was very humorous and always new how to make people laugh. Barbara made friends very easy and she would call all of her friends bros. Her best friends where Kim and Charmaine who considered her a sister. She will be truly missed by all of her family and friends. Barbara is survived by her parents Russell and Christine McKay, brothers Rodney (Randi), Ryan, Phoenix Orvis, Russell (Mellissa), sister Mary (Bryce), grandpa Edwin Orvis (Jean), grandmother Mary McKay, three baby nieces Ava McKay, Lexi McKay and Treazure Wood. CELINSKI, Halina (nee Plywaczewska ) Halina, pseudonym "Seliga" passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 18, 2005. Born in Szczytno, Poland in 1918 she completed Law Studies at Warsaw University, articled at the 9th District Juvenile Court and was appointed curator for juvenile delinquents. During the Second World War she served in the Polish Home Army and the 1st Independent Parachute Brigade. After the Warsaw Uprising she was held prisoner at the Sanbostel and Molsdorf oflags. Decommissioned in 1949 in England, she worked for the Polish National Treasury Commission there. After moving to Canada in 1952 she taught at the W. Podoski Polish School, worked in Ottawa at the Experimental Farm, the Juvenile Delinquency Institute and the Solicitor General's Office. She studied Psychology, Sociology and Criminology at the University of Ottawa. She was an active member of the Polish Combatants' Association and the Polish-Canadian Women's Federation. A tireless propagator of Polish Culture she volunteered her service in aiding Polish orphans, the Solidarity movement and new Polish immigrants to Canada. She was awarded the Army Medal, War Medal, Home Army Cross, Gold Combatant's Cross, Gold Merit Cross and the Ontario Volunteer Service Award. She will be greatly missed by her son Christopher, his father Olgierd, her grandchildren Ewa, Joanna and Piotr, her daughter-in-law Malgosia, her family and friends in Poland, the Ottawa Polish community and her Canadian friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Halina's Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 12 noon in St. Hyacinth's Church (Louisa and Lebreton Streets). Grandmaison Jr., Eugene A. 'Blue' -- Bentley, Michigan -- Mr. Grandmaison, 52 years, passed away Saturday evening, October 22, 2005 at his sister Deb's home with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer that he was "Going To Beat". Eugene was born in Bay County February 11, 1953 to the late Eugene A. Sr. & Irma (Raymond) Grandmaison and lived here all his life. He has gone to join his parents and finally get his log house built in Heaven. He was employed by Dow Brands-S.C. Johnson for 24 years. He was a member of the Michigan United Conservation Club and The National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, especially deer and turkey and looked forward to having coffee with his buddies everyday at Sportsman's Bar in Pinconning. He is survived by two sisters and two brothers: Janet (Calvin) Day, Thomas (Carolyn) Grandmaison, Debra (Allan) Rybkowski, and Randy (Pamela) Grandmaison; 2 nieces, 6 nephews, 1 step-niece, and 1 step-nephew; aunt, Margaret Guoan; special friends, Darl Schmidt, Norm Schoultes, Deb Julian and Rodney & Donna McFarland. Marjorie Breslin Lion on September 13, 2005 in Conroe, Texas died on complications from Alzheimer's Disease at age 79. She was a long time resident of Metairie, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond J. Lion; parents, John Michael Breslin, Sr. and Emily Breslin; and brother, John Breslin, Jr. She was a long time employee of Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp. who retired in 1987. Majorie will be sadly misssed by John, Theresa, Cameron and Caiden McNulty who loved and cared for her very much. BROWN, Stewart Peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital, on Sunday October 23, 2005, in his 81st year. Stewart will be sadly missed by Jim and Arlene Ritchie, and Sara, Donald, Jonathan and Douglas Hendsbee. At the family's request there will be no visitation or service. William Walsh October 08, 1919 - October 23, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2005, Bill Walsh passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 86. He leaves to mourn his two sisters, Barbara Jane Watson and Elva Bernice Simmons, nephew Lloyd Simmons and his son Dustin, nieces Barbara Hughes (Michael), Rita Eyer (John) and their children Erin and Ryan, Patricia Walsh (Ken Williams) and daughter Madelaine Lapointe, Teresa Walsh (David Kines), and Linda-Marie Walsh (Frank Jung) and their children, Matthew and Jackson. Pre deceased by his younger brother, James John McCarthy Walsh and wife Sigrid. Bill was born in Whitewater, Manitoba and spent his early years in various small towns in Manitoba and Saskatchewan; Elva, Tantallon, Maryfield and Alexander to name a few as his father worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway. As a child he loved sports, especially skating, and both sisters have many fond memories of days spent out on the ponds. Bill worked first as a civil servant and served for a short time in the Navy during the Second World War. However, his love of trains which developed during childhood won over and Bill spent the next 35 years working for the CPR as a telegraph operator. Although he retired in 1984, he continued as secretary for the retired CPR Pensioners Association, attending every meeting. His hobbies included curling and gardening and anyone acquainted with Bill knew how much he looked forward to planting his tomatoes and potatoes each year, only to give most away to family and friends. Bill also loved dogs and was a common site walking the Riverview neighborhood with his friends Spike and Bobbinette. The most important part of Bill’s life, however, was his devotion to his religion. He attended Our Lady of Victory Memorial Catholic Church several times a week and took an active role in volunteering as Eucharistic Minister – lighting candles, taking up the collection, or shoveling the walks or cutting the grass. Bill’s deeds were a testament to his faith. He never faltered in lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Until he broke his hip this past February, Bill could be found around his neighborhood, lending a hand whenever needed. He was a quiet and unassuming man with a kind and generous soul, blessed with a quick Irish humour. He will be very deeply missed by all his family and friends. The family wishes to thank all of the health care professionals from – first of all the Grace General Hospital who provided exemplary patient care to Bill after his hip surgery, the concern and compassion from all of the staff at what became his second home on Wolesley 2 of the Misericordia Health Centre, and the all the valiant efforts of doctors, nurses and health care aides of both Emergency and Ward A-5 of the Health Sciences Centre. A special thank you to the Spiritual Care Department who fulfilled Bill’s last wishes to let him pass in peace. Ruby passed away peacefully on October 24, 2005 at the age of 72 years. She is survived by brothers Fred, Jerry (Margaret), Len (Becky) and Jim (Nadia). Ruby traveled with Len and family while stationed in U.S.A., Europe and Canada. Her love for everyone always showed when she was there for her grandchildren’s graduations and sporting events. She always had a smile and kind words for everybody. Robert "Bob" A. Chabot, Sr., 75, beloved husband of 54 years to Doris (Belanger) Chabot, of Enfield passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, (October 23, 2005) surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Frank and Helen (Sullivan) Chabot. Bob has been a resident of Enfield since 1960. Mr. Chabot was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. Bob was employed by the H.P. Hood Company for 38 years, until his retirement in 1992. He was an active member of Holy Family Church, and attended daily masses. Bob enjoyed Duckpin bowling, and was a lifelong Red Sox fan. A loving husband, father, and brother, Robert is survived by his loving wife Doris; their children Denise Mohler and her husband Edward of Wooster, OH, Robert A. Chabot, Jr. of Milton, MA, Laurie Chabot of Agawam, MA; a brother Edward Chabot and his wife Nancy of Orange, CA; three sisters: Dorothy Connor of Windsor Locks, Jean Vendetta and her husband Anthony of Huntington Beach, CA, Patricia Hennessey and her husband Robert of Leland, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs Louise Mary Kenefick (née Batchilder) March 31, 1923 - October 24, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) KENEFICK, Louise Mary - It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Louise Kenefick of Halifax on October 24, 2005. She was born in Georgetown, P.E.I., to James and Marie Batchilder. She was the youngest of five children and was predeceased by all four of her siblings, Dorothy Huestis, Eileen Nickerson, Milford Batchilder, and Emmett Batchilder. At age 19, she met and married the love of her life, Garnet Charles Kenefick, who predeceased her in 1991. She worked for many years at Kline's department store on Gottingen Street where she had many friends. She loved her family, to dance, laugh and be with her many friends. She will always be remembered for her passionate spirit and beautiful smile. Her two daughters, Kathleen Louise (Kenneth) Robertson and Janet Marie (Keith) Marshall, were her joy. She took great pride in her seven grandchildren, Paul, David and Greg Robertson, Cindy, Tamie, Kimmy and Patrick Marshall, and was avidly involved in their upbringing and lives. She was blessed to have eight great-grandchildren, Sarah, Liam, Robyn, Ellen, Maddison, Cailey, Thomas and Hannah, who loved her dearly. She fought a courageous battle with her illness and throughout, maintained a sense of humour and dignity to die peacefully at home. She will be so sadly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Everett Christian Schaefer. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Brenda and Bradley Frederick of Baton Rouge; son and his wife, Chris and Debbie Schaefer of Plano, Texas; five grandchildren, Jonathan and Kyle Frederick, both of Baton Rouge, and Samantha, Zachary and Madison Schaefer, all of Plano; a brother, Robert C. Champagne; sisters, Anna Lee "Beb" Switzer, Marie Lucille "Sis" Bowers and Sister Lydia Theresa Champagne; and numerous nieces and nephews. YARMOUTH -- Thomas Alfred Dugas, 72, of Yarmouth died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005 at his home (200 feet from where he was born) surrounded by his family after a three-month battle with cancer. Tom, 'Al,' to some, was born on April 15, 1933 in Yarmouth, the son of Adolphus and Cecile (Cormier) Dugas. He graduated from North Yarmouth Academy in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1955 and was stationed in Iceland for one of those years. He married Elaine Gibb on Jan. 2, 1954 and together they enjoyed 51 years and lived life to the fullest. Tom worked for 34 years for Caterpillar Tractor, where he made many lifelong friends and where he met the love of his life, Elaine. Al retired from Royal River Boatyard, which was started in the '50s, by his father, his brothers, and himself and is still in the family today. He was especially proud of this accomplishment and that as a family, Al, Elaine, Alan, and Bob worked very well together. He was also proud that many of his boatyard customers became close family friends. Al enjoyed woodworking as a winter hobby and built his first boat in high school shop class and has since built four more sizable boats. He ownED the 34' Pumgustic, which he built, and is a fixture on the Royal River. He also built numerous skiffs, including one for his grandsons this past winter. Every spring there was a new skiff swelling up outside his workshop. He also built furniture and helped family and friends with home projects. In 1974, Al built a family camp on Lower Goose Island in Harpswell where his three sons have since each built their own camps and has grown into The Family Compound. Al was a people person and was always looking out and caring for others right up to his final days. He loved working in his vegetable garden. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church where he was an usher and greeter for many years. He is survived by his wife, Elaine of Yarmouth; his sons, Scott Dugas, Alan Dugas and his wife Deborah, Robert Dugas and his wife Julie, all of Yarmouth; his daughter-in-law, Pam Dugas of Yarmouth; seven grandchildren, Steven and Greg of Yarmouth, Tasha of Durham, Justin of Freeport, Andrew, Molly and Jacob of Yarmouth; three sisters, Ann Kilton and her husband Milford of Durham, Louise Tibbetts of Yarmouth, Margaret Phipps and her husband Orrin of Yarmouth; his brother-in-law, Richard Gibb and his wife Janet of Portland; and 13 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Audrey Elizabeth, his parents and his brothers, Edward and Joseph. A special thank you to Laura Leary, Eric Kinney, Heidi Todd, neighbors, friends, and family as well as the VNA staff for the extra care they gave to Al during his illness. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Yarmouth at 10 a.m., on Thursday with burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yarmouth. Yvonne Elizabeth Benedict Carriere, loving wife of the late Wilfred Francis Carriere, died on October 21, 2005. A life long resident of New Orleans, LA, she was 84 years old. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Natalie Benedict Applegate and Harry Williams Benedict; and siblings, Harry W. Benedict, Jr., Natalie Benedict Bernius and June Benedict Curry. A retired tour guide and volunteer guide, Yvonne was a graduate of Sophie B. Wright High School and Soule Business College. For many years she was an active volunteer for several Catholic charities including the Cenacle Retreat House and Les Dames de St. Dominic. She was also a former member of the Orleans Club and Le Petit Salon. Survivors include her daughter, Lisette Carriere Oser and son-in-law, Dr. Frank S. Oser III; two grandchildren, Frances Schully Oser and Walter Christopher Oser; and a sister, Rita Benedict Childress of Greenville, SC. MOOERS FORKS -- Mary Jane Barcomb, 92, of Mooers Forks peacefully met the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005.She was born on Nov. 2, 1912, in Montreal, the daughter of Maximillien and Ernestine (Raymond) Trudeau.At age 18 months, upon her mother's death, she came to live in Mooers Forks with her aunt and uncle, Mary and Theodore Snide.On Sept. 10, 1934, she married Arthur Barcomb at St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. Together they worked the family farm and raised six children. Bourassa, Robert Gene., Jr. aka "Lil Bob", age 32, died unexpectedly October 23rd in Mpls. Born 01/01/1973 in Mpls and raised in Duluth, MN, returning to the Mpls area in 1984. He loved his daughter, Azreal, with his whole life and talked about her endlessly. Bobby was a member of the BLBC and enjoyed building bikes, repairing things, traveling. He loved life and helping people. His goals were to be a good father and be able to see his daughter grow up. Mr. Maurice A. Lambert, 68, of 700 Second Avenue, Berlin, NH, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin on Sept. 26, 1937, the son of Joseph and Lauria (Therriault) Lambert, and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Lambert was a member of St. Joseph Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish, a member of the Golden Age Club, a member of the Historical Society of Berlin and Gorham and a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by St. Lawrence and Atlantic Railroad as a section man, from 1961 to November of 1989.Members of the family include his wife, Marjolaine H. (Lapointe) Lambert of Berlin; a daughter, Diane C. Lambert of Berlin; a son, Steven Lambert of Newington, CT; two grandchildren, Joseph and Eric; aunts, uncles a nephew and cousins.There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin, NH, on Thursday Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Anne Cemetery. Son of Olivier and Hélène (née Beauchamp) Bourque both predeceased. Special uncle of many nieces and nephews. Léo was born in Cobalt Ontario and raised in Estaire. He married June McMichael in McFarlane Lake in 1958. A member of St. Mathieu's Roman Catholic Church, he worked as a foreman in the slag pit at Fisher Construction, retiring in 1985. Léo was a devoted husband and father and was especially proud of his grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, an avid fisherman and hunter, he was happiest at his camp in St. Charles. Léo will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
