LEWISTON - Murielle V. Rodrigue, 79, of 2 Stewart St., Lewiston, died Saturday, Oct. 8, at her residence with her family by her side following a long illness.She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 14, 1926, the daughter of Aime J. and Valeda (Plante) Roy. She was educated at Holy Family parochial school and Lewiston High School.She married Frank Rodrigue on Aug. 17, 1946. He died on Nov. 18, 1997.Murielle and her husband owned and operated Arthur's Grill from 1947 to 1961 until a fire destroyed the business. She then worked with her husband at Old Orchard Beach at the Beachwood Motel, and later became manager of the Jewelry Department at the Fantastic Fair in Auburn. She became a cosmetologist at the B. Peck Department Store and also a cosmetologist at Ward Bros.She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Ladies of St. Anne's and also Ladies of the Wallace Assembly Knights of Columbus Wives 106. She was crowned Queen of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 618 in 1950. She was also Queen of the Wallace Assembly Knights of Columbus Auxiliary Wives in 1956.She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her beloved family and good friends.Murielle had a passion for poetry, gardening, the ocean, swimming, creating oil paintings, crocheting, knitting, music and dancing. She loved people and the public and going to Paradise Farm, owned by her daughter in Cookshire, in Westbury, Quebec.She is survived by her beloved daughter, Linda Rodrigue, and her fiancé, Gaston Dube, of Westbury Quebec; her grandchildren, Michael Lauzon of Cookshire, Quebec, and Ann Marie Lauzon of Ascot Corner, Quebec; great-granddaughter, Jessica Lauzon; one devoted nephew, Lt. Gratien (Bob Roy) and his fiancée, Cecilia Harkins, of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Rosaire Roy; and one sister, Georgette J. Roy.Murielle was so proud of each member of her family. She loved them with all of her heart, which gave her the strength to fight life's battles.A special thank you to the Hospice staff and Androscoggin Home Health, especially Cindy Halliday and Margaret Quinn. A special merit to her caretakers Judy Floyd and Lise Vincent for their devotion and love they shared with her in the final steps of her path. A very special thank you to the Pruitt family, Ruth, Dan and children. Also recognition to family members and friends who visited and shared happy moments with her.

HEBERT, CINDEE NICHOLE "DEE" A loving mother and housewife, she passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was 34 and a native and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home chapel, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 1 p.m. until memorial service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Jack Pratt. She is survived by her parents, Irvian Singleton Sr. and Thelma J. Burton; two daughters, Ashlie and Kiosha Hebert; two sons, Jeremy and Andrew Hebert; stepson, Reginald Hebert Jr.; two godchildren, Tamica I. Kogland and Kiara Butler; two sisters, Janelle Singleton of Texas and Daphne Herrera of Morgan City; a brother, Irvian Singleton Jr. of Morgan City; two grandchildren, Tiyanna and Kristafer Hebert; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Samuel and Lucinda Jones; paternal grandparents, Joe and Mildred Singleton; and four uncles, Leroy, Raymond and Harold Singleton and Jeffrey Jones. THERRIEN, David P. - Of Traverse City, formerly of Flint, age 70, died Monday, October 10, 2005 in Traverse City. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30AM Friday, October 14, 2005 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Fr. Douglas Osborn will officiate. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8PM Wednesday and Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed 7PM Thursday followed by a K of C Memorial Service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Vianney Catholic Church. David was born in Flint, MI October 1, 1935, the son of John Eugene and Eva Marie (Sylvestre) Therrien. He married Joan Villarreal in 1961. David was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and the K of C Council #695 3rd Degree. David was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1955-1957. He worked as a Mason Tender for 1 1/2 years. He was a Teamster Driver for Franchi Distributing for 30 years. He loved his grandchildren dearly. He loved to play golf and enjoyed woodworking. Surviving are: wife, Joan Therrien of Traverse City; 2 sons, Scooter and wife Kimmy Therrien of Traverse City, Chris Therrien of Benzonia; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Kasey, Tyler, and Zach; brother, Dick and wife Ginny Therrien of Flushing; sister-in-law, Marie Swales of Corunna; brother-in-law, Emil Villarreal of Flushing; several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Eva Therrien; and stepmother, Mary Therrien.

Marjorie Beers 1939 - 2005 BRYANT'S CORNER, NB - Marjorie Beers, 66, wife of Lowell Beers, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, October 9, 2005. Born in Bryant's Corner, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Young and Emma (Mitton) Young. She attended St. Paul's Anglican Church, Brown's Yard. Besides her husband, Lowell, she is survived by one daughter, Rhonda (Wayne); one son, Kevin (Pam); two grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas; two sisters, Della and Audrey; nine step children; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Thelma, Ruby, Gladys and one brother, Carl. At the request of the family, there will be no viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated. GRONDIN, Père Victor 1921 - 2005 Le père Victor Grondin, religieux de la Congrégation de Sainte-Croix, est décédé le vendredi 7 octobre 2005 au Centre hospitalier St. Mary à l'âge de 84 ans. Né à Saint-Éphrem de Beauce le 21 juillet 1921, fils de Majorique Grondin et d'Alma Turcotte, il entra dans la Congrégation de Sainte-Croix en 1944. Le père Grondin a été professeur au Collège de Saint-Laurent de 1951 à 1952, puis à l'Externat classique Ste-Croix de 1952 à 1958. Il a oeuvré par la suite au Collège de Plessisville de 1959 à 1967, avant d'être curé à St-Jean-Baptiste Vianney de 1968 à 1994. Vicaire à la paroisse Notre-Dame à Thetford Mines en 1973, il est nommé aumônier au Centre hospitalier de la région de l'Amiante de 1974 à 1988. De cette date jusqu'à 1999, il a été aumônier dans douze foyers de personnes âgées à Thetford Mines. Le père Victor Grondin sera exposé à la Maison Basile-Moreau 4994, chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges à Montréal le mercredi 12 octobre de 14 h à 17 h et de 19 h à 21 h, et le lendemain matin de 10 h à 13 h. Des prières communautaires y auront lieu le 12 octobre à 16 h 30 et à 19 h 30. L'eucharistie des funérailles sera concélébrée le jeudi 13 octobre 2005 à 14 h à la crypte de l'Oratoire Saint-Joseph. Dolores Diane (Dee-Dee) Hayward nee Chadwick January 25, 1939 to October 7, 2005 Passed away peacefully on Friday October 7, 2005 at her home that she loved so much. She Designed, Developed and worked so hard on her "Palace in the Mountains" where she was completely happy. She saw only beauty in Nature, flowers, plants, animals and only Goodness in Mankind. She was gentle, compassionate, a loving class lady, adored by all who came in contact with her. She is remembered fondly by her cousin Brian of New York and Lynn of Dorval, Quebec. She leaves to mourn Cliff, her husband, lover, and constant companion of 36 yeras. The emptiness she leaves is of unexplainable proportion and will never be filled. She faced her battle with cancer with magnificent fortitude, positive and courageous throughout, to the admiration of her husband and friends who witnessed her resolve. Funeral, cremation and burial private. At a date sometime in the future a memorial gathering will be held. Donations to "Hope & Cope" of the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal (3755 Cote Ste. WILSON, Marion Mildred (nee Dolan) March 16, 1928 - October 9, 2005 Marion, in her 78th year, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, on Sunday October 9, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Hilliard Andrew (1992). Loving mother of Alvin (Eileen), Melvile (predeceased infant son), Earl (Marilyn), Gwen (Jim McCaffrey), and Kevin. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Susan Wilson, Jason Wilson (Susie Poole-Wilson), Lainey, Tyler, and Kelsey McCaffrey, and by her great-grandchildren Emma and Layne Wilson. Marion is also survived by her sister Phyllis (late Ollie Barr), and her brother Nelson (Lois). Marion's contributions to her church and community were unsurpassed. She was a member of the Anglican Church Women, Altar Guild, and life-time member of the Federated Women's Institute for Home and Country. Née le 7 mai 1932, elle était fille de feu Célestin Paulin et de feu Joséphine Chiasson. Elle laisse dans le deuil quatre fils: Dave (Cynthia) de Miramichi, Joe (Lise) de Richibouctou, Guy (Sandra) de Néguac et Lorne (Joanne) de Vancouver; sept soeurs: Marguerite (Eddy Paquet) et Brigitte (Eusèbe Duguay), toutes deux de Shippagan, Hectorine (feu Théophane Lanteigne) et Lina (Hédard Blanchard), toutes deux de Lamèque, Aldora (Germain Blanchard) de Caraquet, Elda (Antonio Doucet) et Béatrice (feu Roger Boudreau), toutes deux de Petit-Rocher; cinq petits-enfants: Jason, Samantha, Pamela, Kristina et Randy, ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-soeurs, neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines. MUELHMANN, Werner Oct. 4, 1928 - Oct. 5, 2005 Passed away suddenly in Arnprior on Wednesday, October 5, 2005, Werner made it to his 77th birthday. Born in Altrandstate Germany, he immigrated to Canada (Ottawa) in 1955 with his wife. Beloved husband of 56 years to Dorothea (nee Radunz), loving and encouraging Dad to Christopher John. Werner is predeceased by niece Rita and is favorite uncle to Annegret, Susanne and Rudy. Werner will always be remembered and admired for his courageous spirit and his positive attitude towards life. He possessed a gregarious nature and was truly hospitable to all who graced his door. Werner enjoyed a hearty meal combined with good humour. He spent many happy hours with hobbies and interests throughout his lifetime which included homing pigeons, he was an avid motorcyclist, chess player and card shark. Werner was adventurous and well travelled and spent time living in the USA and Germany and spent 29 years living in Canada with his wife and Christopher. Leonard B. Arbour, 92, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at a local hospital. Leonard was born June 24, 1913, in Waubaushene, Ontario, Canada, to the late Merrill and Georgina (Bazinet) Arbour. He worked eight years sailing the Great Lakes for the Canadian Steamship Lines and later was employed as a Stationary Engineer at St. Augustine’s Seminary in Toronto, Ontario. Prior to serving in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Petty Officer during World War II, he was employed at Munitions plants in Niagara Falls and Nobel, Ontario. Leonard married Mary Vermote on November 27, 1945, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins, Michigan. Leonard and his wife moved to Green Bay in 1947. He was a member of Annunciation Parish where he served as an usher and was a member of the church and grounds committee. He was employed by Wisconsin Public Service Corporation from 1947 until his retirement in 1977. Leonard owned and operated the Arbour Landscape Service. Since his retirement, Leonard was active in Volunteer Services to the elderly and enjoyed traveling, cards and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and his wife spent their winters in North Fort Meyers, Florida, since 1979.Leonard is survived by his wife, Mary; 10 children and their spouses, Mary Ellen (Frank) Berg, Richfield, Minn.; Georgina (Richard) Leanna, Green Bay; Diane (Harland) Matthews, Green Bay; Frederick (Shirley) Arbour, Fridley, Minn.; Pauline (William) Shook, Sault Ste. WEST SPRINGFIELD - Sr. Mary Louis Bertrand of Jesus Brouillette, O.P., 100, died on Sunday morning October 9, 2005 at the Mont Marie Health Care Center in Holyoke. Known in her secular life as Georgina E. Brouillette, she was born in Mansonville, Province of Quebec, Canada the ninth child of thirteen of the late Charles G. and Olympe E. (Varin) Brouillette. She came to the United States as a young woman and worked in Springfield before entering the Dominican monastery. She entered the Monastery of the Mother of God on May 1, 1928 and took her solemn Profession of Vows as a Dominican Nun on May 27, 1934. Sr. Mary Louis Bertrand worked most of her religious life in the art department. She was very gifted in designing and painting. In addition to her Dominican Sisters, she leaves her nephew, Charles Fontaine of Framingham, and her nieces, Terry Yedloski of Dayton, OH, Louise Duckless of Newport, VT and Jeanne Robidas of Quebec, Canada. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning October 12 at 11 a.m. at the Monastery of the Mother of God, 1430 Riverdale Street in West Springfield followed by Rites of Committal in Mount Calvary Cemetery. He was the husband of Diane E. (Bourassa) Carbonneau, to whom he was married for more than 30 years.He was born in Lowell, Oct. 13, 1952, son of the late Russell Sylvio Carbonneau and Eileen (McCarthy) Carbonneau. He received his education in Lowell schools.Mr. Carbonneau resided in Vermont for the past 15 years. Previously, he lived in Lowell, and was a communicant of the former St. Peter Church.Mr. Carbonneau was employed in custodial maintenance at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, N.H., for more than six years. Prior to moving to Vermont, he was a machinist at Lane Machine Co., in Billerica. He had also worked at Textron (formerly AVCO) in Lowell.He was an avid musician and enjoyed teaching music and instrument lessons. SKOKIE, Ill. -- Charles Dansereau, 63, of Morton Grove and formerly of the New Bedford area in Massachusetts, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005. Born and raised in New Bedford, he was a son of the late Maurice and Mary I. Dansereau. A graduate of Boston College, he received his master's degree from the University of Michigan. He was a French professor for many years and then a book buyer for Marshall Field's. Mr. Dansereau was an antique collector. On Saturday, (October 8, 2005), Mary Jane (Dumas) Coco, 69, passed away surrounded by her loving family at the Jefferson House in Newington after a courageous five year battle with cancer. Born in Hartford, on November 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Rosario and Leonie (Leger) Dumas, descendants of Honore Leger and Angeline Boudreau of Memramcook, New Brunswick, Canada. She was a 1955 graduate of Hartford Public High School and received a degree in Culinary Arts in 1989 from Manchester Community College. She resided in Newington for the past 36 years and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. Mrs. Coco is survived by her beloved husband, Attilio Coco; her children, David Coco with his wife Karen of Newington, Thomas Coco of Kirkland, WA, Venera Hasson with her husband Christopher of Newington, Leona Clerkin with her husband James of Wethersfield; a brother Alexander Dumas with his wife Joan of Rotunda West, FL; a sister Ann Veprauskas with her husband Lawrence of Southwick; a brother-in-law Umberto Coco with his wife Cathy of Newington, and seven cherished grandchildren: Gregory, Matthew, Brittany, and Colby Coco, and Jacob, Gabrielle, and Luke Hasson. Jeannette B. Graveline, 92, of Manchester, N.H., died Oct. 7, 2005, in the Mount Carmel Healthcare Center in Manchester. CARIBOU - Cheryl Ann Cote, 54, died unexpectedly, Oct. 6, 2005, at Presque Isle. She was born May 20, 1951, at Perth Andover, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Katherine McLean She was a graduate of the Southern Victoria County High School at Perth Andover and also graduated with an associate's degree from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Cheryl was a media analysis at Burrelle's Luce in Presque Isle. She attended the Caribou United Baptist Church. Cheryl is survived by her long time companion, Orin McBreairty of Caribou; her son, Paul Clayton Cote II of Bangor; her daughter, Becky Lynn Cote-Sharp of Clermont, Fla.; five grandchildren, Amber Cote, Celena Sharp, Seth I. Cote, Bryce J. Cote and Riley J. Cote; three stepchildren, Angel M. Norris of Columbia, S.C., Joseph O. McBreairty of Caribou and Tara E. NORTH CHELMSFORD, Mass. - Marie S. Normand Vaccaro passed away early Friday Oct. 7, 2005; at the age of 82 and after an extended nursing stay at the D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell, Mass. Marie was born in Sanford, the second oldest daughter of Oscar and Dorothy Normand, longtime residents of Springvale. She most recently lived in North Chelmsford, a suburb of Lowell, Mass., and also summered in Shapleigh where she enjoyed her vacation cottage on Square Pond. Married for 61 years, she is survived by husband, Arthur Vaccaro; daughter, Pamela Jane (O'Brien); son, Stephen Joseph; and daughter, Linda Marie. Her surviving grandchildren are Sean Joseph Barry, Kevin Lee Barry, Kristin Marie Vaccaro, Stephen Joseph Jr. Vaccaro, and Stephanie Laura Hom Vaccaro. Also survived by her brother Eugene Normand and preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen L. (Huard) and brother, Robert L. Normand. Marie was a member of the Sanford High School Class of 1942 and excelled with highest honors as Valedictorian of her class. Marie and Arthur were married May 28, 1944 while Arthur was still serving as a Staff Sergeant in Louisiana for the US Army Air Corps during World War II from 1942-1945. Marie continued to live in Springvale/Sanford until shortly after Arthur returned from the war and was discharged. However they soon relocated to Malden, Mass., and lived there for 20 years. Then a new job position for her husband, Arthur, afforded them the opportunity to relocate to Harrisburg, Pa. After residing there for one long year, and greatly missing being close to children, friends and relatives as well as Maine and Massachusetts, her husband was able to transfer back and live out their marriage in the present home in North Chelmsford, Mass. Marie was a devoted wife, mother and sister and endured more than her share of crosses to bear. She constantly displayed outstanding fairness, great judgment and gave of herself unselfishly. She will be greatly missed. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. at Saint Ignatius Church, Sanford. Visitation will be held between 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford. Refreshments will follow the service.

WATERVILLE -- Shirley M. Vigue, 70, died on Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Lakewood Nursing Home after a long and courageous battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 17, 1935, in Ipswich, Mass., a daughter of Ernest and Evelyn (Quinn) Gallant.On Aug. 27, 1955, she married Raymond J. Vigue Sr., who passed away on May 14, 2005. Shirley was a member of the Parish of the Holy Spirit and the board of directors of Seton Village for many years. After raising her children, Shirley became a licensed social worker and was employed by Catholic Charities of Maine from 1976 to 1999. She was very dedicated to her clients and well-liked by her co-workers.Shirley had a passion for the coast and enjoyed her yearly visits to different Maine coastal areas with her close friend, Jan. She also had fond memories of the times that she and her husband spent traveling and visiting with their good friends, Bob and Jeanine Genest. Shirley held an exceptional interest in the lives of her grandchildren, who were the center of her life. She truly earned the name "Grandma," as she was her grandchildren's No. 1 fan as well as their mentor.Surviving are one son, Raymond Vigue Jr. and special friend Janet McGrath of California; one daughter, Kim and her husband, Jeff Gardiner, of Waterville; nine grandchildren, Forrest McCloskey, and Sarah and Travis Vigue, all of California, Christa and husband Adam Nielsen, and Corey, Brittany, Paige, Kylee and Cameron Gardiner, all of Waterville; two great-grandchildren, Pharoh Vigue and Sierra Rose McCloskey; two sisters, Ernestine Leach of Florida, and Sheila Doty of Haverhill, Mass.; and a brother, Timothy McDonald of Skowhegan. BELL, Frank Charles The family of Frank Charles Bell grieves the passing of their loving father, husband and friend at the age of 72, after a long battle with cancer, at the Sudbury Laurentian Hospital on Friday, October 7th. Frank is survived by his dear wife Charlotte Anne (nee Duncan), his 3 children Cheryl Lynn (Peter McGuire), Duncan Charles and Barbara Ann (Keith Forrester), 3 grandsons Bryen Charles, Christopher Charles and Matthew Duncan, his father Charles Bell (predeceased), mother Anne (nee Nazar), brother Daniel and his sisters Charlotte Anne and Suzanne. Frank also leaves behind Sherry Bell, niece Cate, nephews Bill and Paul, cousins Richard and Barbara (Bell), and cousin Laurie Simeoni and family. He was a special uncle to Laura Markley and Kimberly Smeaton. He will be remembered as a gentle soft-spoken man with a great sense of humour and a love for great conversation. Frank spent summers at the cottage with his family and close friends where he kayaked, swam, and water-skied until his illness took over. His final months were spent at the cottage where his family loved and cared for him. Frank and Charlotte met at Sudbury High School where they soon became sweethearts. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this November 1st. Frank was considered among the people that knew him as one of Sudbury's "Home Grown Sports Heroes" as sports were an important part of his life. Born in Sudbury in a home on Shaugnessy Street, Frank started playing basketball at the local YMCA at the age of 12. His basketball skills were well known at Tech and Sudbury High and landed him a position on a Canadian Senior Basketball Championship team. Frank had a successful football career starting at Sudbury High, continuing at Ryerson and concluding with an invitation to the Toronto Argonauts training camp as quarterback. Frank began taking care of tennis courts at the age of 13 at Sudbury's Memorial Park and quickly became interested in playing the game himself. He was involved in the planning and the construction of the downtown "tennis bubble". Frank took on a love for the sport of curling and captured two provincial championships representing Northern Ontario in the 1974 Brier and the 1987 Canadian Senior Men's Championships. Frank, together with a number of parents, put together the first Little Rock Curling program at the Idylwylde Golf and Curling Club. In the words of Alan Arkilander, "Frank Bell probably hand no idea the program he started thirteen years ago would be so successful in introducing the sport of curling to hundreds of young curlers." Frank joined his father, Charlie, in the real estate and appraisal field in 1961. Charles Bell Real Estate Appraisals (1946) has since been passed on to Frank's son Duncan who continues the family tradition.
