Passed away October 2, 2005 at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus. Beloved wife of 66 years of John. Loving mother of Jo-Anne (Bob) Gronlund and Barry. Loved grandmother of Karin (John) Cozzi, Kersten (Mike) Mittlestat and Julie (Andi) Fuchs. Great grandmother of Rachel Bruce and Sonja Mittlestat. Predeceased by her sisters Isobel Saunders and Joyce Crocker. Janet will be sadly missed by her nieces & nephews, family & friends. A special thank you to the 5th Floor Nursing Staff at Met. MIDDLEBORO -- Madeline Georgine (Beaudry) Gunning, 90, of Middleboro died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at Oak Hill Nursing Home after a long illness. She was the wife of John Henry Gunning. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Margaret Beaudry. She was a nurse at St. Luke's Hospital until she retired. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, New Bedford. Survivors include her widower; a son, David Gunning, and his wife, Marion, of Middleboro; a daughter, Kathleen Gunning of Selinsgrove, Pa.; and a granddaughter. Her prayer service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Egger Funeral Home, 61 Pearl St. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Larry Dean TRAMBLAY 61, went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2005 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Larry was born on November 24, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to Harold and Marjorie Tramblay. He was proud to serve his country as a Marine in Viet Nam. Larry is survived by his wife Christy, son Mike, daughter Noelle and son-in-law Jim, step-daughter Abby, sister Lorna, niece Yvonne, nephew Brian and their children, and his mother Marge, 92 of Spokane. He also leaves loving friends Cathy, Lorna and Bruce. Profound thanks and appreciation to the staff at Swedish hospital in Seattle who so lovingly cared for Larry. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 22 at the Maltby Christian Assembly in Snohomish. Marie "Mary" Solange (Comeau) Picard, 101 years old of Brittany Farms Health Center, formerly of Martin Luther King Drive, went to heaven on (October 2, 2005). She was the widow of Arthur B. Picard who died in 1954. She was born in Webster, MA, the daughter of Ferdinand and Marie Louise Comeau, and moved to Holyoke, MA when she was three. She grew up in Holyoke where she attended school and was a member of Precious Blood Church. She was a member of its choir, the Society of Mary, the Holyoke Chorale, and performed in the Church Operas. At 14 years old she was employed full time by Skinners Silk Mill. She married in 1930 and moved to Connecticut. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and then St. John the Evangelist Church, where she was an active member of the choir and taught CCD religious classes for many years. She was the Prefect of the Third Order of St. Francis of New Britain, a member of the Daughters of Isabella Council #12 of New Britain, and was a New Britain Senior Center RSVP Volunteer for many years. She was employed by Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, for 20 years retiring in 1969. She was also predeceased by her loving sons Arthur B. Picard, Jr. and Donald J. Picard, seven brothers and a sister, Noella Huber of New Britain. She leaves a grieving family who will miss her caring, strength, and love. She is survived by her son, Paul M. Picard, his wife Susan of Southington and a daughter-in-law, Shirley Picard of Southington; three granddaughters, Paige and Carter Sperry, Nicole and Jeffrey Pyle, all of Southington, and Heather Picard of Bristol; four grandsons, Jeffrey Picard, of New Britain, Mark and Beverly Picard of Jacksonville, FL, Brian and Michelle Picard of Wolcott and Scott Picard of New Britain; fourteen great-grandchildren, Dylan, Connor, Everett, Tanner, and Victoria Sperry, Natalie and Joshua Pyle, Jeffrey Jr., Jason, Jennifer, Ashley, Patrick, Elijah, and Victoria Picard; a dear niece Louise and Raymond Bechard, their children Karen Zovich and Kevin Franck, a great niece and nephew, Claudia and James Zovich; a first cousin and many friends in Christ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 4, from 4-7 p.m. at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain. MARTHA TALBOT, nee Martha Mae Janicek, 77, passed away on September 23, 2005, in Dallas County, Texas. She was born on August 7, 1928, on her grandparent's farm in Seaton, Texas to Ella Othelia Hruska Janicek and Ed Janicek. She was a graduate of Rogers High School in 1946. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Houston where she was employed by the City of Houston for several years. In 1948, she met the love of her life and on January 14, 1950, she wed William J. Talbot. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, William Joseph Talbot; sister, Helen Jane Haisler and husband Raymond John of Houston; brother, Edwin Janicek and wife Joann of Temple, Texas; daughter, Charlotte Dahm and husband Lawrence of Harlingen, Texas; grandchildren, Andrew Dahm and wife Jana of San Antonio, Texas; Christopher Dahm and wife Bonny of Houston, Texas; and two lovely great grandchildren, Andrew Dahm, Jr. and Michael Dahm both of San Antonio, Texas. MERIDEN - Jeanne R. Remillard, 75, of Cheshire, beloved wife of the late Leo Remillard Jr. passed away on Sept. 28, 2005, at Westfield Care and Rehab. Center in Meriden.She was born Feb. 8, 1930, a daughter of the late Samuel and Dorthea (Bradley) Robinson. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Hamden, where she taught Catechism for many years. She was retired from SBC / SNET after being employed there for many years, she also was a member of The Telephone Pioneers of America and also belonged to the Emerald Society. Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will greatly be missed. Jeanne be in peace, you're in the hands of the good Lord.She is survived by three sons, Thomas Remillard of Milford, Daniel Remillard and his wife, Barbara, of East Haven, and Leo Remillard lll of Meriden; two daughters and a close daughter in-law, Dorothea Pearson and her husband, Walter, of New Jersey, Mary Remillard, and Linda Remillard of Meriden; one brother, Donald Robinson of Hamden; one sister, Mary Curtis of Hamden. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son, Richard Remillard Sr.; one brother, Jack Robinson; and a twin sister, Joan Jeanette.Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, (TODAY), Oct. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be a Mass of Christian burial on Monday, Oct. 3, at 11:30 a.m. held at Our Lady of Mt. NEW BEDFORD -- Blanche (Major) Gauvin, 96, of New Bedford died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at Hathaway Manor. She was the widow of Maurice N. Gauvin. Born in Westport, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Amanda (Michaud) Major. She lived in Dartmouth for many years and resided in New Bedford seven years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Mrs. Gauvin was a stitcher for several years in the local textile industry until she retired. She previously worked at the Hoosac Mill for 20 years. Survivors include three sisters, Anna Gibbs of New York, Cecile Goulet of Dartmouth and Yvette Goldsmith of New Bedford; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the sister of the late Ludivina Guilbeault, Leo Major and Edmond Major. Her funeral will be at 8 a.m. Tuesday at Brooklawn Chausse-Dumont Funeral Home, 15 Irvington Court, with a Mass at 9 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Acushnet Avenue. Richard L. DeGrandchamp “Dickie”, age 74 of Fraser, died Saturday, October 01, 2005 at his home. He was born April 13, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Clement DeGrandchamp and the late Louise (nee: Blanke) DeGrandchamp. Mr. DeGrandchamp was raised in New Baltimore, Michigan and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Detroit. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. After serving his country in the military he began working with his father, Clem, at Cleme’s Pour House in Warren. His career at the “Beer Garden”, as he referred to Cleme’s, lasted over 50 years. He inherited his father’s natural charm, his love of laughter, and practical jokes. Also he had an outgoing personality that attracted people who would become his life-long friends. The highest accolade Dickie could give to any one of the streams of customers who entered through the back door to sit at the “Big Table” was the moniker “Friend”. His friends, his engaging smile, and an endless supply of duct tape, served him well throughout the years. Dickie enjoyed playing Horsecollar, deep sea fishing, and going on vacation with the gang. Until his knees protested he also enjoyed playing tennis, riding his bike, and walking his dog Sam. Dickie is survived by his beloved wife Lin (nee: Janiga). His children Michelle Walker, and Dr. Richard (Patty) DeGrandchamp of Evergreen Colorado. His grandchildren; Kyle & Kory Walker, and Genevieve and Giselle DeGrandchamp. His Brother Donald DeGrandchamp of Florida. Also surviving Dickie are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation for Mr. DeGrandchamp will be on Monday from 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 ½ mile). Nell Fabre, 89, of Tempe passed away on September 22, 2005. Born in Excelsior, Minnesota, she was preceded in death by her sister Alice and her husband Al. After graduating from Northwestern University, she taught English until 1951, when she moved to New York City to marry and raise a family. The Fabres moved to Arizona in 1961. Nell is survived by two daughters, Elaine and Barbara, a son Robert, three grandchildren and two great-grandchil-dren. Friends and family will gather at a later date to celebrate her life. Norah "Nora" Margaret Zastre (née Trumbla) July 01, 1924 - October 01, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Desjardins Funeral Chapel It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nora on Saturday, October 1st at her residence at the age of 81. Nora is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Allen, son Roy (Fran) and grandchildren Brett and Jane. She is mourned by her brother Carl Trumbla (Yvette), sister Sarah Allard and numerous relatives. She was predeceased by her mother Gwendoline and father Elmer. Nora was born in Elie, MB and spent her childhood years on the family farm. She had fond memories of going to Midnight Mass by horse drawn sleigh, family gatherings at harvest time and autumns spent canning vegetables with her aunts. Nora was an avid gardener and had a natural talent for cooking and possessed an elegant style which she shared by entertaining family and friends. Nora and Allen moved to Winnipeg after the birth of their son and later spent many summers vacationing at Twin Beaches with family and friends. Winter vacations in particular were enjoyed in Hawaii, her favorite place in the world. She had numerous interests and enjoyed her retirement years. Nora was especially fond of cats and was blessed with many animal friends during her life. She will never be forgotten. Cremation has taken place and a gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday October 6th at 2:00 pm at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Rudolph L. Quesnette, 90, longtime East Hartford resident, passed away Friday, (September 30, 2005), in Middletown. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna Quesnette. Born in Sherbrooke, Canada on November 17, 1914, he was the son of Napoleon and Lauda (Langlois) Quesnette. Rudolph retired from Pratt & Whitney and he was a member and past faithful navigator of the 4th degree Rev. J.C. Martin Council 3901, Knights of Columbus, East Hartford. He is survived by two sons, Robert Quesnette and his longtime companion Carol Burns of Tucson, AZ, and Leon Quesnette and his wife, Kathleen of Estero, FL; two daughters and their husbands, Margaret and David Maine of Middletown and Kathleen and David MacCasland of Southington; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by a brother and four sisters. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 4, at 10 a.m. from the Callahan Funeral Home, 1602 Main St., East Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 15 Maplewood Avenue, East Hartford. On this day he will be reunited with his beloved wife on what would have been their 64th wedding anniversary. Burial will immediately follow in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. WILLIAMSTOWN -- Louise M. Therrien, 82, of 1611 Sweetwood Continuing Care Community, formerly of 1685 Oblong Road, died Friday at North Adams Regional Hospital in North Adams. Born in North Adams on Nov. 20, 1922, daughter of Frank and Mary Morini Montagna, she was a graduate of Drury High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the former North Adams State College, now MCLA, in the 1970s. Mrs. Therrien was last employed as the treasurer and tax collector for the town of Williamstown, retiring in December 1992. She had also worked in the research department at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for several years, then in the accounting department of the former First Agricultural Bank in Pittsfield. She was a longtime communicant of St. Patrick and Raphael's Parish. She was an accomplished knitter. Her husband, Edward Carl Therrien, whom she married Dec. 1, 1945, in St. Anthony's Church in North Adams, died Feb. 16, 2001. She leaves two daughters, Frances Ross of Reading, Pa., and Gail Therrien of Mount Kisco, N.Y.; a son, John Carl Therrien of La Canada, Calif., and six grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Louise M. (Montagna) Therrien will take place Tuesday at 9 at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will take place at a later date in the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Ronald “Ron” Mailloux, 67, passed away at Aurora BayCare Medical Center on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2005. He was born in Marinette, Wis., son of the late Clayton and Helen Mailloux. Ron was a very caring person who loved his niece, Lisa Bartelt and her family, his extended family at Meadows North his special friends, Paul Rasmussen and Jim and Chris Smeester.According to Ron’s wishes there will be no funeral services.
