BRUSH, Edward C. After a courageous battle with cancer, Edward (Eddie) Brush age 65, passed away Sunday September 18, 2005 at home, with family by his side. Eileen T. (Cote) Stroiney, 85, a life time resident of the Enfield community, passed away on Saturday, (September 24, 2005), at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of 65 years to Andrew T. Stroiney. Born in Enfield, she was the daughter of the late Arthur R. Cote, Sr. and the late Ethel Mae (Dunne) Cote. Eileen was at graduate of Enfield High School, Class of 1937. Active in this community, Mrs. Stroiney was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader when her children were youngsters and was active in their PTA's, both during their grammar school years and at the former Our Lady of the Angels Academy. She was a member of the Democratic Town Committee, a Justice of the Peace, and a member of the town's Commission on the Aging, serving for a time as its chairperson. She drove the bus for the local Dial-A-Ride as well as the Special Needs van for the Town of Enfield. A communicant of Saint Bernard's Catholic Church, she was also a Red Cross Blood Drive volunteer. In addition to her husband, also of Enfield, she leaves her children, Thomas A. Stroiney of Enfield; Carol A. Dumesnil and her husband, Ernest, of Enfield, Andrea E. Campbell, also of Enfield and Kathleen M. McDonagh and her husband, Edmund, of Ludlow, MA; a brother, Matthew Cote of Somers; a sister, Mildred A. Henry of Enfield; her special nieces and nephew, James Hunt, Judith Dischert and Sandra Verraneault, whom Eileen and Andrew raised as their own children. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren, Mary Powers, Arthur Dumesnil, Duncan Campbell, Cathleen Kuzara, Eileen Campbell, Michelle Dumesnil, Nancy Martin, Jill Lavigne, Adrien Ouelette, Joann Welch, Thomas Ouelette, Robert Ouelette, Amy Paige, Sally Russell and Anne Pouliot; 19 great grandchildren and a great greatgrandson. Eileen was predeceased by her brothers, Howard Cote and Arthur R. Cote, Jr. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28 from Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, followed at 10:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Bernard's Church in the Hazardville section of Enfield. A lifelong resident of Scott, Teddy Arceneaux was born in Sulphur on Sept. 17, 1917, the son of Marie Prejean and Davis Arceneaux. He died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005. Mr. Arceneaux was a retired businessman, farmer and employee of the City of Lafayette. A decorated World War II veteran, he was a member of the Stanley Martin-Felix Ducrest American Legion Post 69. Mr. Arceneaux was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Cliney Arceneaux; and his wife of 55 years, Regina "NaNa" Begnaud Arceneaux. He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Linda Louise and husband Roy Matthieu and Franklin Paul Arceneaux and wife Lillian "Butchie," all of Scott, and William Arceneaux and wife Patsy of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Saffer Marie (Mrs. John) Domingue of Groves, Texas, and Marie Lucille "Sweet" Hernandez of Scott; and a brother, John Steven "Doux" Arceneaux of Ocean View, Hawaii; eight grandchildren, Mitchell and Michael Matthieu, Monica and Buddy Arceneaux, and Ted, Angelle (Mrs. Phillip Perret), Leah and Scott Arceneaux; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Emma Eleanor Jordeson Shediac 1921 - 2005 The death of Mrs. Emma Eleanor Jordeson Shediac (Mitchell), 84 years, of Autumn Lee Special Care Home, wife of Albert Shediac Sr. of Connolly Street, Moncton occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, September 23, 2005 following a brief illness. Born August 24, 1921 in South Branch, Kent County, she was the daughter of the late William George and Mabel Doherty (Beers) Mitchell. Emma had attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening. VANDONGEN, Corry J. On Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, B.C. in his 57th year. Née à Claire-Fontaine, elle était fille de feu Roderick Stewart et de Maria (Daigle) Stewart. Outre son époux et sa mère, elle laisse dans le deuil une nièce spéciale, Janice (Barry Richard) de Saint-Louis; sa petite-nièce spéciale, Ashley et son petit-neveux spécial, Tyler; quatre soeurs: Paulette (Joe Richard) et Maria (Gilles Richard), toutes deux de Saint-Louis, Anne (Alyre Daigle) de Pointe-Sapin et Marcia (Rejean Allain) de Dieppe; huit frères: Wilbert (Elise) de Saint-Ignace, Steve (Juliette) et Vernon (Debbie), tous deux de Calgary, Blair (Paulette) de Pointe-Sapin, Danny (Rhonda), John (Flora), Roderick (Carol) et Robert, tous de Saint-Louis, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Deux soeurs: Stella et Carmin, ainsi qu’un frère, Joseph, l’ont précédée dans la tombe. Mme Daigle a travaillé pour Canisto Market pendant 17 ans. Elle était bénévole pour son église et pour sa communauté. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 14h, le mardi 27 septembre, à la Maison mémoriale Thompson de Saint-Louis-de-Kent. John "Jack" H Ellis October 19, 1916 - September 22, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully on September 22, 2005 in his 88th year. Jack will be greatly missed by his wife Barbara, children; John (Nancy), Ruth (Bruce) McClocklin, Susan (Brian) Brown, Hugh (Danielle), grandchildren; Lori, Brian, Pat, Jayson, Doug, Michael, Nick, William, Nelson and Noel; great-grandchildren; Ethan, Dalan, Hudson, and Christian, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Ernie and Essie and his sister Olive (Morris) and brother Don. Jack was born October 19, 1916 in North End Winnipeg. He spent a brief time in Ireland and Argyle MB while going to school and retained a lifelong attachment to both places. Jack enjoyed carpentry, gardening, playing and coaching hockey. Many happy hours were spent flooding the ice and managing the playground A hockey champions at Crescentwood Community Centre. He worked at Winnipeg Transit for 25 years, volunteered at Harrow United Church, and was never too busy to help a neighbor or friend. He inspired us all with the integrity and dignity that defined his life. Above all, he was a devoted family man and a faithful husband to Barbara for 63 years. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff on the 6th floor South at St. Boniface Hospital, especially Lorrie, Annie, David and Dr. Davey. Born April 21, 1912 in Minnedosa, Manitoba, beloved son of the late Cora and Joseph Armitage. Toby moved to Sudbury in 1932, where he met and married for 72 years, his life-long love, Andrewine (Ina) Armitage (nee Lyle). Jeanne Miller-George (née Cuthbert) December 23, 1909 - September 24, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Jenkens Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre Mrs. Jeanne Cuthbert Miller-George passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay on September 24, 2005. She was born in Dresden, Ontario to Pheobe-Elizabeth (nee: Hyatt) and Stewart Cuthbert. Jeanne had many interests throughout her life. She was a devoted member of the Anglican Church wherever she lived. She was a writer, an artist, a musician and she loved travelling, especially within her beloved Canada. She visited her husband’s native Denmark where many of his relatives still live. Three of her articles were published in the best selling book Morning Side Papers by the late Peter Gzowski (CBC). While living in Revelstoke, B.C. she wrote a weekly article in the local newspaper "Senior Scene by Jeanne". Above all, she was a devoted mother, aunt and grandmother. Jeanne is survived by her children Gordon (Marvene) of Toronto, Alex of Belleville, Norma-Jane, Sigrid-Elizabeth (Ken) Simard all of Thunder Bay and John (Dorothy)of Thorold. Step-children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great great grandchild as well as other relatives also survive. Jeanne was predeceased by her first husband Max Miller, second husband Fred George, sister Mary (Ernest) Cullum, brother William (Vida) Cuthbert and daughter-in-law Joan Miller. BOGGS, Murray John (Major) On Friday, July 8, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer, Murray John Boggs, at the age of 75, passed away peacefully and with great dignity in the Saanich Peninsula Hospital, Saanichton, B.C. Predeceased by his first wife Josephine (Jo), sadly missed by his loving wife June. Father of Murray, William and Phillip. Stepfather to Elaine and David. Grandfather of Michael, Murray, Stephanie, Christopher, Marty, Cassandra, Natasha and Nicolas. He will be missed by his sister Elizabeth and nieces and nephews. Murray was a proud member of Sidney-Albert-Luke Masonic Lodge in Ottawa and the Royal Canadian Air Force. He loved visiting with friends at The Royal Canadian Legion and ANAF Clubs. Murray was with Foreign Affairs from 1954 - 1985 and travelled the world. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the palliative care unit, Saanich Peninsula Hospital, especially Dr. Terri Trottershaw and nurses Amy and Kelly for the wonderful care they gave Murray. Following his wishes, he was cremated privately in Victoria and will be resting with us in Ontario. Elmer F. Beaulieu, 90, of West Hartford, husband of Cecile (Sylvain) Beaulieu, passed away, Friday, (September 23, 2005) at home. Born on August 27, 1915 in Grand Isle, ME., Elmer worked at Kenney Market in Hartford for many years before retiring from the State of Connecticut on Sept. 1, 1980. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-in law, Alan and Ann Beaulieu of Enfield and a daughter, Rose Marie Beaulieu of West Hartford. Elmer is also survived his granddaughter, Christine Beaulieu of East Hartford; a step-grandson, Eric Welch of Enfield; a sister, Mattie Cyr of Manchester and several nieces and nephews. Funeral procession will be Tuesday, 10:15 a.m. from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m. in St. Mark the Evangelist Church, West Hartford. Paul E. Couture, 70, of Bristol, husband of Barbara (Lait) Couture, died on Friday (Sept. 23, 2005) at Ingraham Manor. Mr. Couture was born in New Haven on March 16, 1935 and was a son of the late Adelmore and Angelina (Bernier) Couture. A lifelong Bristol resident, he was employed at Gros-Ites Manufacturing of Farmington before retiring in 1996. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War, was a coach and manager at McCabe-Waters Little League for 20 years, and a member of St. Ann Church, Bristol. SWEDEN - Brett Lawrence Thibodeau, 23, of Fryeburg, died tragically in a car accident Friday night, Sept. 23.Born Feb. 25, 1982, he was the son of Brenda and Donnie Thibodeau, also of Fryeburg. He graduated in 2000 from Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., where he was a member of the varsity crew and ski teams.He grew up working in his family's business, Green Thumb Farms, in Fryeburg. He gained his in-depth knowledge of potato farming from his late grandfather, Larry Thibodeau, of Presque Isle, and from his parents. Brett had recently become the head of sales for the farm. He was quickly becoming well-respected by his clients, and proved himself an astute businessman who was able to deliver on his promises.Brett was, first and foremost, a man who was dedicated to his family. He put family loyalties and obligations above all else. He always lived life to its fullest, seeking to gain as much pleasure and knowledge from each day as possible. His loves included spending time with friends and family, hunting and fishing and any other activity that allowed him to be outdoors. Brett was always ready for an adventure, with a smile on his face, and always ready to help out anywhere he was needed.Brett is survived by his parents, Brenda and Donnie, and his brother, Brian, and sister, Betsy, all of Fryeburg; two grandmothers, Audrey Thibodeau of Presque Isle, and Elizabeth VanDyk of Ellsworth; seven aunts and uncles, Bunny Thibodeau Andrews of North Yarmouth, Ann Thibodeau Seitz of North Yarmouth, Lee and Holly Thibodeau of Cumberland, Philip Davis of Boca Raton, Fla., and Craig and Cristina Davis of Palma, Spain; many cousins, their spouses and families; and friends too numerous to count.

FALMOUTH - Elijah Samuel Norbert passed away Friday, Sept 23, after a four-year battle with leukemia.He was born on July 26, 1995, in Portland, the son of Stephen and Kim Norbert, and younger brother of his beloved sister, Abby, an eighth grader at Lyman Moore Middle School.He will be greatly missed for his gentle grace, love of life, and sense of humor. Eli loved his family, sports, and his many dear friends and teachers at Lyseth Elementary School. He enjoyed many sports, games, drawing, reading, and building with Legos. Eli loved camping in July around his birthday each year, when the family had a chance to swim, hike, canoe, and laugh around the campfire. He enjoyed skating in the woods behind his home, and loved to play with friends and neighbors around the neighborhood. Eli was an inspiration to his family and was very kind to his many cousins, who were so good to him as well. He enjoyed playing with them and sharing laughs and games and just hanging out. He was especially close to his dear cousin, Matt Sprague of Kennebunk, who was his age. Together they were known as "double trouble."Eli never gave up in his fight with cancer, battling courageously to the very end. He was particularly proud to have been chosen to be 2003's "Slugger's Kid" as part of the Strike Out Cancer in Kids Program, jointly sponsored by MCCP and the Portland Sea Dogs. He and his family are grateful to the many doctors, nurses, social workers, and support staff who helped make him feel loved and special at the Maine Children's Cancer Program. He was loved there for his great positive attitude and quick sense of humor. His courage and gentle grace also made him a welcome patient at the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. The nurses joked that they would fight to get him as their patient when he was admitted for fevers and treatments. His family would like to thank all of the staff who worked with Eli over the years at Maine Medical Center's Day Surgery Unit, the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital and the Maine Children's Cancer Program.Eli is loved and will be greatly missed by his parents and sister, Abby; and grandparents, Stanley and Joanne Norbert of Falmouth, and Maurice and Anita Paradis of Lewiston; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends in the community.Elijah's family wishes to thank the communities of Portland, Lewiston, and beyond for their love, prayers, support, and concern for his well-being during his brief life. Words cannot describe his life, but those he touched understand what a gift he was to our world. Although many may be heartbroken that a miracle did not occur, and that he left us far too soon, it is important to remember how blessed we were to have him at all. God graced us with this beautiful, wonderful prince of angels who was able to come to our world for 10 years to teach us honesty, respect, kindness and forgiveness, suffering and strength, and a heavenly unconditional love that few are able to give.

Born March 9th 1924 in Halifax, she was the oldest of three daughters of Gordon and Blanche (Noseworthy) Fader. A loving mother and grandmother, Muriel was a homemaker throughout her life. She is also survived by her much loved grandsons; Paul (Gillian Hickman) Fitzpatrick of Ottawa, ON, Dr. Aaron Fitzpatrick, Saipan, Shawn Fitzpatrick of Moncton, and Justin Fitzpatrick of Halifax, her great granddaughter Hannah Fitzpatrick as well as her nephew Brantz Myers of Toronto.
