LOWELL -- A. Frances (Carragher) Marcotte, a lifelong Lowell resident who was a retired secretary at a local doctor's office, died unexpectedly Friday, Aug. 12, at her home. She was 79.She was born in Lowell on Jan. 8, 1926, daughter of the late Frederick and Anna (Hockney) Carragher. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Lowell High School.Before retiring, Mrs. Marcotte worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Sweeney.She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Jill and Kendall Edwards of Dracut; a grandson, Corey M. DUDLEY— Robert Faille, 79, of 19 Hall Rd., died Friday in UMASS Memorial-University Campus, Worcester after an illness. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Carolyn (Doolittle) Faille, a son, Rob Faille and his wife Ann of Dudley; two step sons, Daniel Pappas Jr. of VA and Barry Pappas of NY; three grandchildren, Nicole, Samantha and Tyler. He was born in Webster, the son of Narcisse and Florence (Raymond) Faille and has lived in Dudley since 1962. He served in the Navy during WWII. Mr. Faille worked many years at the former Bates Shoe, retiring 20 years ago. Robert enjoyed antiques and was a devoted fan of the NY Yankees. GUILLEMETTE -- RONALD STANLEY - On the morning of Friday, August 12,2005, Ron Guillemette passed away peacefully at his home in the North Valley, Albuquerque, at the age of 61, following a long illness. He was born on August 1, 1944, into a French Canadian family in Maine. Ron worked for several years as an actor and director in the New Mexico theatre arts community and for the last twenty years as an educator and administrator. Most recently he served as Deputy Bureau Chief the Education Department with the New Mexico Department of Corrections. Ron is survived by his parents; two brothers and his son, Giovanni, who is living in Seattle. For the past fifteen years Ron has shared his life with his companion, Melvin Bethke. OXFORD— Therese L. “Terry” (LaPorte) Keenan, 58, of Bacon St., died Friday, August 12, 2005, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Route 12 in Oxford. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Harold E. Keenan of Oxford; two daughters, Annmarie Keenan of Oxford and Andrea L. Fox of Auburn; her brother, Peter LaPorte of Worcester; her sister, Marie LaPorte of Sterling; three grandchildren, Jo-Ann, Jessica, and William, all of Oxford; many nephews and nieces, and several Godchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Alfred LaPorte of Worcester, who died in 1993. Mrs. Keenan was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian (Duhamel) LaPorte, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford 32 years ago. She attended South High School in Worcester. Mrs. Keenan worked at Dunkin Donuts in Oxford for 3 years. Previously, she worked at Chess King Clothing in Worcester for 12 years. She was a former member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford and a member of the Founders Day Committee in Oxford for several years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. LOWELL -- Mary (Letford) LeBlanc, 85, a Lowell resident who worked many years for the city, died Friday, Aug. 12, at the Westford House care center in Westford. She was the wife of Leon H. LeBlanc, who died Sept. 11, 1991.She was born in Lowell on Aug. 29, 1919, daughter of the late Patrick J. and Winifred (Duane) Letford. She attended Lowell's Sacred Heart Grammar School and Butler Junior High School. She graduated from The Girls Vocational School in 1937.Before retiring, Mrs. LeBlanc was employed with the city of Lowell, working at the Water Department for many years.Mrs. LeBlanc was a member of The Retired State and County Municipal Employees 1706, American Association of Retired Persons, and the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare.She was also a former communicant of Notre Dame De Lourdes Church in Lowell.She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Joan and Francis Gendron of Lowell; a son, Leon "Buckey" H. Ouimet, age 75, of Massena, N.Y., died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at Massena Memorial Hospital in Massena, N.Y., where he had been a patient since Aug. 8, 2005.Mr. Ouimet was employed by Sperlings Furniture Store as the store manager for 42 years. WEBBER, Ernest Carter WWII Veteran - Bell-Canada Pioneer Passed away with his family at his side on 11 August 2005. Born 15 June 1921, Ernest was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years and mother of his seven children, Francoise Marie Jacques. He is survived by his second wife, Alice Ann (Babs). Ernest was the cherished father of Marc (Erica), Richard (Gayle), June, Bryan (Jane), Karen (Wayne Carmody), Kenneth (Lindsay) and Robert (Dawn). He was well loved by his grandchildren Angela, Christopher, Bradley, Lindsay, Karla, Samantha, Andrea, Scott, Blair, Trevor and Jill. Ernest will be sadly missed by all, including his many nieces, nephews, step-children and friends. He inspired all of us with his passion for life, his courage and the dignity with which he lived.
