JUNEAU CHARLES (CHARLIE) HENRY, 94, Of Harbor Springs formerly of the Detroit area passed away June 24, 2005 at Bay Bluffs Medical Care Facility in Harbor Springs, MI. Charles was born November 27, 1910 in Windsor, Ontario the son of Francis and Louise (Marchand) Juneau. He married Angeline Maurice and in 1946 the couple moved to the Detroit area. Charles worked as a life insurance agent and retired from Monumental Life Ins. Co. in 1966. The couple moved to Harbor Springs in 2000. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Angeline, four children Raymond and his wife Judith of Harbor Springs and Richard and his wife Mary of Harbor Springs, Joanne LeClair and her husband Arthur of Denver, Colorado and Clare Collins and her husband George of Tucson, Arizona. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. The family was served by the Schiller Funeral Home of Harbor Springs, MI.

Dr. Robert J. Landry Sr., 61 of Jonesboro died Thursday, June 23, in a plane crash near New Roads, LA. Born at Brooklyn, NY, he was formerly of Zachary, LA. and had lived in Jonesboro for 16 years. He was a captain in the Army Reserves, serving from 1969-1977. An opthalmologist by profession, he was co-owner and medical director of Southern Eye Associates and was the primary surgeon in more than 20,000 major ocular cases. He had worked in various capacities at four other medical centers, including Confederate Memorial Hospital at Shreveport, LA; Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute and St. Luke's Hospital Center, both at New York and Eastern Virginia Medical School at Norfolk, VA. He belonged to eight professional medical societies and held medical licenses in seven states. He held a bachelor of science from Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge, LA. a degree from the LSU Law School and a medical degree from the LSU Medical Center at New Orleans. He was appointed assistant clinical professor of Ophthalmology at the LSU Medical Center as well as clinical assistant professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Little Rock, AR. His other professional positions included former medical director of Landry Eye Clinic at Zachary and Baton Rouge, former chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee of Surgical Eye Expeditions (SEE) and former chief of staff at Lane Memorial Hospital at Zachary, where he also sat on the board of directors. He was also the founder of Nueva Vista, a project of the Christian Medical Society. He was on the SEE board of directors, a non-profit humanitarian organization that works to restore sight to disadvantaged blind individuals worldwide. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he served on the building committee. He was also on the board of directors of St. Bernard's Village, American State Bank and was a former member of the Jonesboro Airport Commission. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Landry of the home; a son Robert J. Landry, Jr., of Jonesboro; two daughters, Amy Landry Fulkerson of Jonesboro and Laura Landry Bresee of Superior, CO; a brother, Dr. Ronald A. Landry of Metairie, LA. and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy Joseph, Jr. and Dorothy Elizabeth Cassanova Landry. A memorial service will be at 4 P.M. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. FITCHBURG -- Patricia M. (O’Brien) Cote, 45, of 19 Spruce St., died Tuesday, June 21, in her home after being stricken ill. She was born on July 20, 1959, in Fitchburg, the daughter of Arcade and Edith (Mittola) O’Brien. She was a 1979 graduate of Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School. Mrs. Cote was the owner and operator of Top Job Performance in Fitchburg for eight years. She was a member of St. Cecilia’s Parish in Leominster. Mrs. Cote is survived by her father, Arcade “Hawkeye” O’Brien of Leominster; one son, Daniel Brand of Leominster; one daughter, Samantha Cote of Fitchburg; one sister, Susan Stengel of Hubbardston; three grandsons, Marcus Snell, Joseph Brand and Noah Brand. COTE -- On June 21, Patricia M. (O’Brien) Cote, 45, of Fitchburg. After cremation a funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 30, at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia’s Church, 168 Mechanic St., Leominster. A native of Loreauville and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Oubre died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2005, at Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette. Mr. Oubre worked with his father at Oubre Furniture in New Iberia for 31 years and then along with his wife owned and operated Schoolhouse Awards in New Iberia for 23 years. He is survived by his wife, Joan Fanguy Oubre of New Iberia; a son, Scot Christopher Oubre and wife Angie Romero Oubre of Sulphur; three daughters, Victoria Joan Oubre Mullins and husband Jules, Cathy Marie Oubre and companion Chad Touchet all of New Iberia, and Candace Ann Oubre and husband Rex Larson of Carencro; a brother, L.E. Oubre Jr. of New Iberia; a sister, Barbara Oubre Berry and husband Michael of New Iberia; five grandchildren, Dixie Boutte and husband Ryan, Kacie Pennick, Joshua Oubre, Kaylan Oubre and Seth Bergeron; and four great-grandchildren, Dylan and Ethan Pennick, Madison Oubre and Nicholas Boutte. Mr. Oubre was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Amy Oubre; a son, Michael Carl Oubre; a daughter, Nancy Louise Oubre; and a grandson, Robert Turnwall II. LITCHFIELD - Madeleine G. Ouellette, 82, of 863 Minot Ave., Auburn, died suddenly Sunday evening, June 26, after a long illness, at the home of her son at Richmond Road in Litchfield. She was born in Levis, Quebec, on July 24, 1922. In her younger days, she was a well-known downhill ski racer in Canada and the United States. She was a devoted mother and homemaker who enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was married to Clement J. Ouellette, who died in 1993. She is survived by one son, David N. Ouellette of Litchfield; one daughter, Louise Perry of Auburn; two grandsons, David and Jason Ouellette, both of Litchfield.

William A. "Tony" PERREAULT Passed away June 23, 2005 at age 73 in Kirkland, WA. A Korean War veteran, retired glazier, professional dog handler and loving husband, father and grandfather. Fernande M. Burns, widow of Francis Burns, of Bristol, passed away on Sunday, (June 26, 2005) at Ingraham Manor. Fernande, a daughter of the late Felix and Helen (Joyal) Salvis, was born in Montreal, Canada. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Bristol and worked at Bussman Manufacturing, Bristol. She is survived by her son Paul Burns of Bristol; her two sisters, Lucille Duncan and Madeleine Roberts both of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her three brothers, Lucian, Paul and Roger Salvis, and her four sisters, Armande Lavigne, Marie Longlais, Gertrude Mason and Rose Rogers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, on Wednesday, June 29, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. GARCEAU, Paul Second World War Veteran Peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2005, at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre at the age of 84. Husband of Grace (Salt Spring Island), beloved father of Ann (Gerry) of Nova Scotia, Susan (Julia) of Salt Spring Island, Jane, Carol and Jessica (Bruce), all of Ottawa, Becky (Brian) of Kars and foster daughter Janice (Eric) of Orleans. Devoted grandfather to Joshua, Melissa, Timothy, Amy, Matthew, Samantha and Ela. Predeceased by parents Oscar and Eugenie Garceau, and stepmother Lina, brothers Albert and Gilles and sisters Laurette and Lucienne. Survived by sisters Francoise (Aurele) and Lucille (Rosaire) and brothers Bernard (Andree) and Michel (Eunice), as well as many nieces and nephews. Paul was a fun-loving man who kept his corny sense of humour until the end. No doubt he honed that funny bone during his five years of service in the early 1940s with the Royal Canadian Navy aboard the HMCS Sackville. After a variety of jobs, Paul settled into a lengthy civil service career in various departments of the federal government. Although land-locked in Ottawa, his love of the sea kept calling, resulting in many wonderful family excursions to the Maritimes. Back in the '60s and '70s, much of his Centretown neighbourhood knew Paul was also good at turning curbside trash into veritable treasures through the use of his wood-working skills. His church communities at both Gloucester Presbyterian Church and Knox Presbyterian were a very important part of Paul's life. Always one to help others, Paul co-founded the Ottawa Distress Centre in 1969, taking the first call on March 17, 1969. Paul also volunteered with the Red Cross and, in later years, delighted in driving other seniors around town and to Florida. His friends were spread far and wide and many, especially Veronica Scrimger, stayed close and helped him greatly in his later years. During his stay at the Veterans' Centre, Paul was a delight to all and will be missed greatly by many. The family would like to thank the extraordinary staff at the Perley (Ottawa 2 East), the dialysis unit and Ambulet drivers for making Paul's final years as good as they were. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 120 Lisgar St., on Friday, July 15, at 2 p.m. Paul's ashes will be scattered at a later date at his beloved Lake Halverson in Quebec. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Perley Foundation or the Canadian Naval Memorial HMCS Sackville Trust, Box 99000, Station Forces, Halifax, N.S., B3K 5X5. TETRAULT VIOLA CAMPBELL died peacefully on June 24, 2005. Mrs. Tetrault was born in Port Huron, Michigan and retired in 1977 after having served for 30 years as a secretary at the Ford Tractor & Implement Division in Birmingham, Michigan. In 1953 she was executive secretary to the Vice President of Ford Motor Company and General Manager of the Ford Tractor and Implement Division. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph A. Tetrault. She was a member of the South Oakland Chapter of the National Secretaries Association; Alpha Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority; Highgate Chapter #464, Order of the Eastern Star; Stoneycroft Hills Club, The Village Club and Kirk in the Hills. Mrs. Tetrault is survived by many cousins. Visitation at Wm. R. Hamilton Co., 820 E. PAPPEL, Frederick, (Retired GM 1982) Peacefully at home on Saturday, June 25, 2005 at the age of 83. He was the loving husband of Marion (Dyck) for 59 years and the devoted father of Danny as well as Millie Robertson (Eybel) and Linda Bettoli (Giesb recht). Pappa will be missed by his grandchildren, Chad, Ashley, Danny, Jordan, Darcy and great grandson CJ. His sisters, Mabel Boehler and Dorothy Goa, along with his niece Verna Legere (Giesbrecht) are thinking of his heavenly reunion with the fami ly members that left before him. They include his son Blaine (1979) and sisters Gussie Giesbrecht and Elsie Walters. Freddie will remain in the hearts of his extended family including Clara Young, Josephine Chase, Albert Dyck, Benny Dyck and many nie ces and nephews. Fred was raised in Emerson, MB. After proudly serving in WWII in the Canadian Armed Forces Artillery, he married and brought his bride to St. Catharines. He worked at GM Heat Treat until his retirement and CAW Local 199. HODGINS, Ernest Alvin Ernie died in New Brunswick on June 19, 2005, at the age of 77. He was one of seven sons of the late Clement and Myrtle (Healey) Hodgins of Stittsville and was predeceased by two brothers and sisters-in-law Howard (Isabel) of Stittsville and Allan (Marlene) of Carleton Place. He is survived by his wife, the former Ann Harrigan, and one son, Tim, both of Napan, N.B., as well as by one daughter, Brenda (wife of Brad Matthews) and a little granddaughter, Taylor, all of Fredericton, N.B. Left to mourn are his four brothers, Bert, Gordon, Emerson, and Elmer. He also leaves many sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Stephen and Helen (Brown) Stephen of Kingston. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Isabel Stephen and his brothers Lt. Col. Hugh M. Stephen RCAMC, CD, BA, MD. Queens '27 WW2, Korea and John G. Stephen Queen's '32. Survived by his sister Helen Brakas and her husband Jonas, Sister-in-law Grace C. Stephen, Nephew Richard Stephen and his wife Paula and grand nephews Tamon M. Stephen B.Math, Ph.D. and Ricardo H. Stephen B.Sc. and his wife Guinevere Murphy B.S. Ph.D. He was commissioned in the RCAF Equipment Branch early in 1938 and transferred to air crew in 1942. Following receipt of his pilot's wings in January 1943 he left for England and after training joined #427 (Lion) Squadron in 6 (RCAF) Group, RAF Bomber command. Flying his first operations in November 1943 he completed his tour in August 1944 and then served on 6 Group Staff to the end of WW2 in Europe. He then returned to Canada to train with the force being mustered in Okinawa to engage in the war against Japan. This force was disbanded with Japans surrender. After war service, he had assignments at RCAF H.Q., Ottawa, the Canadian Joint Staff at our embassy in Washington, the Canadian Embassy in Moscow as Air Attache (1950-1952), No. 1 Air Division H.Q., Metz, France and No. 1 Combat Operations Centre (NORAD) at RCAF Stn. St. Hubert, Quebec. He took early retirement from the RCAF and was employed by Canadair Ltd., Montreal until age retirement in 1979. Wesley J. Powell 1916 - 2005 Wesley J. Powell, formerly of Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, died on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at The Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home at the age of 89 years. Born in Moncton, NB he was the son of Percy Powell and May Melanson. He had been a carpenter and he played the violin. He had won the Times & Transcript crossword puzzle contest 25 times. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Landry) Powell of Oshawa, ON; two sons, Larry (Phyllis) of Moncton and Dennis of Oshawa; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Reinthal of Reading, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Roy and Lloyd; and a sister Stella. There will be no viewing or service by request. Cremation will take place with an interment at a later date. Ardith (Weir) Bannister 1943 - 2005 RED DEER, AB - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ardith Mae Bannister at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 23 at the age of 62. She will be missed more than words can say by her best friend and husbandof-the-heart, Russell Bannister; son, Jeffrey; daughters, Naomi (Larry), Terri (John), Angela (Ken), and fosterdaughter, Denise (Joe). Ardith's grandchildren, Alysha, Tori, Erica, Jayce, Hailey, and Riley were the lights of her life and gave her tremendous hope and happiness. Ardith is also survived by her sister, Sheila (Laurence) Reid; brothers, David (Sheila), Earl (Janet), Dale (Yvonne), and Royden (Suzanne) Weir; sisters-in-law, Vivian, Beatrice (Gerald), and Pauline (Merle). She was predeceased by her father, David; mother, Sadie Weir, and brothers, Gerald and Merle. Besides her immediate family, Ardith touched the lives of countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Beatrice M. Pellerin -- August 26, 1918 - June 25, 2005 -- WAUREGAN -Beatrice M. Pellerin, 86, of Grove St., died on Saturday at Hartford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Eldege U. Pellerin, who died on March 25, 1993. They were married on July 5, 1958 at Our Lady of LaSalette Church in Brooklyn. Her first husband, Raymond Grenier died in 1952. She had resided with Mr. Grenier in Northbridge, Massachusetts. Mrs. Pellerin was born in Brooklyn, CT on August 26, 1918, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Gaudreau) Mazzarella. She attended St. James School in Danielson. Upon completion of her education, she became employed in the local textile industry, until her marriage to her first husband Raymond Grenier. She moved to Northbridge, MA and continued to work in the textile industry. In 1955, she returned to Brooklyn, CT. She became employed at Jacob's Rubber. After her marriage to Mr. Pellerin in 1958, she settled in Wauregan. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking and assisting many people in need. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. She was a member of the Atwood Hose Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Wauregan and was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Choir. She also was a volunteer for the Sacred Heart Church Soup Kitchen. She leaves two sons, Donald R. Grenier and his wife, Bernice of Wauregan and Keith J. Pellerin of Brooklyn; two step sons Roger Pellerin and his wife Lorraine of Brooklyn; Donald Pellerin and his wife, Jacqueline of Brooklyn; a daughter Constance M. Boucher and her husband, Edward of Nashua, N.H; and a stepdaughter, Estelle Raye of Wauregan; eight grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; two greatgreatgrandchildren; six stepgranchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Adrian Mazzarella and Floriane Mazzarella; and two sisters, Clarinda Bernier and Cecile Franklin. Funeral from the GagnonCostello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Danielson on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Wauregan.
