COTEAU -- Services for Mrs. Euel Touchet, the former Edna Maturin, 82, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with the Rev. Barry Crochet officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed today from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Wednesday at 8 a.m. until the time of service. A native of Youngsville and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Touchet died at 10:25 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2005, in New Iberia. Mrs. Touchet was known as a loving and wonderful person. She was one of the best cooks in the world. She loved to fish. She is survived by her four sons, Dalton Gary of New Iberia, Alton Gary of Lafayette, Wilton and Ellis Gary both of New Iberia; a daughter, Eunice Boudreaux Romero of Coteau; a brother, Anatole Maturin of Youngsville; three sisters, Rita Migues of Jeanerette, Alice Dore and Altahea Gaspard both of Coteau; 27 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Touchet was preceded in death by her husband, Euel Touchet; parents, Gilbert and Aneaise Gary Maturin; a son, Michael J. Boudreaux; and a brother, Jules Maturin. ST. JEAN, RICHARD J. 'RICKY', 34, of Pilgrim Avenue, died Wednesday at home. Born in Pawtucket, a son of Richard A. St. Jean of West Warwick and Susan Sanders in Massachusetts. He lived in West Warwick before moving to Coventry two years ago. He was employed at Concept Engineering and previously was an auto body repairman at Inskip Motors. He was a graduate of West Warwick High School and enjoyed drag racing and motorcycles. Besides his parents he leaves his step-mother, Carolyn St. Jean; his paternal grandmother, Cazimira (Dusza) St.Jean both of West Warwick, a step-sister, Alyce Robinson of Johnston and a step-niece, Samantha Robinson. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick followed by a Memorial Service at 8 p.m. Burial will be private. Rena Marie Ougel, 83, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Larose, died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2005. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Rema Marie Ougel Yates and husband, John; three grandchildren, Melissa Broadus and husband, Kevin, Sue Ellen Gisclair and Margo Yates; and five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kierstyn and Karyl Broadus, Tyler Yates and Corey Cheramie Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gracien and Evelyncia Pitre; three brothers, Wilman, Winnifred and Volise Pitre; and one sister, Edia Ougel. Lucien Doucet (1918-2005) l'Acadie Nouvelle - 28 juin 2005 PETIT-ROCHER – À l’Hôpital régional Chaleur de Bathurst, le lundi 27 juin 2005, à l’âge de 86 ans et huit mois, est décédé Lucien Doucet, époux de Béatrice Guitard, domicilié au Foyer Vallée Lourdes, mais autrefois de Petit-Rocher. Il était fils de feu Théodule Doucet et de feu Louise Roy Doucet. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil cinq fils: Théo (Marie) de Beresford, Martin (Madeleine), Jean-Eudes (Nicole), Renald (Suzanne) et Roger (Nancy), tous de Petit-Rocher; quatre filles: Patricia (Émile Godin) et Doris (Arthur Roy), toutes deux de Petit-Rocher, Marie-May (Gérard Doucet) et Lise (Jean-Claude Doucet), toutes deux de Tremblay, ainsi que 25 petits-enfants et 18 arrière-petits-enfants qu’il adorait et plusieurs neveux, nièces et neveux et nièces de ses demi-frères et demi-soeurs. Une fille, Roseline (2001), ainsi qu’une soeur, Joséphine l’ont précédé dans la tombe. M. Doucet était membre du Club de l’âge d’or et de la Légion royale canadienne de Petit-Rocher. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la Chapelle funéraire Verret de Nigadoo. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Polycarpe de Petit-Rocher, le mercredi 29 juin, à 16h. Heures de visites: le mardi 28 juin, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le mercredi 29 juin, de 13h30 jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. He retired from Shell Oil Company, taught Chemistry and Physics at St. Augustine High School and was a Telemetric Engineer at Michould Facility. Marjorie “Marge” Evrard, 69, Lena, died Sunday, June 26, 2005, surrounded by her family, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Green Bay. She was born to the late Benjamin and Margaret (Bitters) Aubut Oct. 4, 1935, in Oconto. Marge married Keith Evrard July 7, 1956, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Oconto. She worked at the former Sylvester’s Florist of Oconto for 20 years. The couple farmed together for 37 years. Marge enjoyed making crafts, especially making floral bouquets for her daughters’ weddings as well as floral arrangements for gifts and for her home. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing cards and bingo, bus trips, telling stories and camping for 19 years in Arizona. Marge was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Stiles, for 49 years, where she served on the church council at different positions for many years. She also belonged to the Couillardville Homemakers. Surviving are husband of 49 years, Keith; five children, Kathy (Russell) Block, Lena; Susie (Thomas) Younger, Howard; Dawn (David) Zimmerman, Pulaski; Lori (James) Sullivan, Oconto Falls; Lisa Evrard, Little Suamico; seven grandchildren, Margaret and Stephanie Block, Alex and Amy Younger, Julie Zimmerman, and Michael and Samantha Sullivan. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marge was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, four brothers, and her in-laws, Orville and Clara Evrard. BERLIN, NH - Leon A. Cloutier, 76, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, June 27, 2005, at the St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home. Mr. Cloutier was born on March 21, 1929, in St. Hermengilde, P.Q., the son of the late Marie Louise (Pivin) and Omer Cloutier. He moved to Berlin as a young adult, and remained here with his wife Jeanne (Labrecque) to raise his family. Leon worked for many years as a service manager at local auto dealerships, including Patenaude Motors, and Currier Auto Group in Gorham, from which he retired in 1989. He also owned and operated Laurette’s Variety, formerly Sam’s Market, for many years, on Berlin’s East Side. Mr. Cloutier was also a longtime member of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, in Berlin. Leon Cloutier is survived by his wife, Jeanne (Labrecque), as well as two daughters, Diane Fletcher, and husband David, and Louise Tyler and husband James, all of Berlin. He is also survived by two brothers, Leo Cloutier, and wife Marielle, of Canaan, VT, and Lucien Cloutier and wife Jeanne of Berlin, as well as an aunt, Elizabeth Pivin of Berlin. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Scott Fletcher and Matthew Tyler, both of Berlin, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Marie Louise (Pivin) Cloutier. SEATTLE, Wash. — Alynne Hart Jacques passed away June 10, 2005, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was born in West Seattle on Dec. 13, 1950, to Carol and Morris Hart. She married her husband, Robert Jacques, who was born and raised in Dover, N.H. They lived in Dover briefly and finally made their home in Seattle. Her life was that of a devoted wife and loving mother to her children Heidi, Jesse and Michael. She was never too busy for a Boy Scout meeting or a school field trip. She was very involved with Magnolia's Boy Scout Troop 85 and Blane Middle School. Last April she was even able to leave the hospital for a few hours on a pass to be honored at her son Jesse's Eagle Court of Honor. She was a caring soul and had a joyful heart: she was a great source of comfort to family and friends. She was generous with her time, and her smile touched many lives; her compassion ran deep. Whether it was a hurt sea gull on the Magnolia Bridge or a child in need, she would be there. Though many of her days were filled with garage sales and antiquing, her true quest was to find the perfect little something to give to a friend or family member and a returning smile was her prize. Robert G. Laliberte, 83, of Manchester, N.H., died June 25, 2005, at a local nursing home after a long illness. He was born Aug. 19, 1921, in Manchester, the son of Joseph and Hermeline (Gagnon) Laliberte. He lived in Candia where he managed the Sargent Farm and later owned and operated R.G. Laliberte Bulldozing. After moving to Raymond, he continued his construction career with Senter Brothers Inc., in Plaistow as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement, when he moved to McAlpin, Fla. The family includes five daughters, Priscilla Capillo of Bedford, Theresa Piotrowski of Raymond, Claire Nuenoom of Merrimack, and Lucille Martineau and Carol Martineau, both of Manchester; seven sons, Ronald Laliberte of Allenstown, Maurice Laliberte of Nashua, Paul Laliberte of Lanham, Md., Ronald Laliberte of Hooksett, and Richard Laliberte, Peter Laliberte and Steven Laliberte, all of Manchester; 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Corona Foreman of Cathedral City, Calif., Simone Ruais, Lorrame Bernier and Jacqueline Beaudoin, all of Palm Springs, Calif., and Pauline Laliberte of Rochester; a brother, George Laliberte of McAlpin, Fla.; and nieces and nephews. EASTON, Mass. — Aime LaRoche, of Easton, formerly of Bradenton, Fla., and Franklin, N.H., died Sunday, June 26, 2005 at his home in Easton. He was 92 years old. Born in Franklin on Aug. 13, 1912, he was the son of the late Alfred and Celina (Marceau) LaRoche. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Force. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service and was the past Postmaster in Franklin. He served on the Franklin (N.H.) School Board, and was an active member of St. Paul's Parish in Franklin. He was a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Timmon Council, Franklin. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing tennis and bridge. He was also a member of the homeowners association in Florida. Survivors include his wife of 62 years to Cecile (Giguere) LaRoche of Easton; two sons, David LaRoche of Maryland and Ronald LaRoche of Florida; three daughters, Mary Kanney of New York, Donna Farrell of North Easton, and Ann Kirger of Louisiana; two brothers, Richard LaRoche of Tennessee, and Paul LaRoche; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a two brothers, Raymond and Normand and a sister, Mary Ann Benier. His funeral will be held at the George L. Copeland and Son Funeral Home, 38 Center St., Easton, Mass., on Thursday, June 30 at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Easton at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Eugene J. Michaud -- Of Cambridge. After a long illness. Died peacefully at home on April 28, 2005. Dearly beloved husband of Carol Malthaner and loving father of Serena Michaud of Cambridge. Beloved son of Rachel Collins of Framingham, and the late Eugene J. Michaud. Gene was an Associate Professor of Communication Arts at Framingham State College and a graduate of the University of Mass. at Boston, (B.A.), and the Annenburg School of Communications at Univ. of Pennsylvania, M.A., PhD. Gene, a veteran of the U.S.A.F, 1965-1969, was a former staff member at the William Joiner Center for the Study of War and Social Consequences at UMass-Boston, and co-editor, with Linda Dittmar, of From Hanoi to Hollywood: The Vietnam War in American Film. A long-time resident of Cambridge, Gene was an active rent control supporter and, more recently, worked to support the growth of AMIGOS from a school program to a successful public school. Fawne Mongeon, 75, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2005. She was born Aug. 4, 1929, in Prince Albert, Canada, and resided in Las Vegas for 48 years. She was a retired retail manager. Fawne is survived by her daughters, Bonni (Daniel) Itakura of Las Vegas, and Judith (Neil) Kizell-Brans of Canada; two brothers; and four sisters. CLAREMONT -- Marie Aime Fournier, 82, of Nelmar Heights, died Monday, June 27, 2005, at home. She was born in Labale Fevres, PQ, Canada, Feb. 10, 1923, the daughter of Aime Joseph and Valerie Mary (Benoit) Pelletier and had resided in Claremont for the past three years. She lived in Deland, Fla. for 14 years and in Northfield for 33 years. Mrs. Fournier retired Feb. 10, 1983, from Audley Construction of Hooksett where she worked as a clerk. The surviving family includes her husband, Roger Leo Fournier of Claremont, whom she married on Feb. 17, 1953; one daughter, Dianne Fournier of Claremont; three grandchildren, Marie Wesoja of Andover, Jolene Chappell of Sunapee and JoJo Paquin of Claremont; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Flamand of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Arlene Burke of Westfield, Mass.; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Florian Pelletier, Rosaire Pelletier and Gerard Pelletier; and three sisters, Sister Germaine, Jean Audet and Fernande Morrill. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St., Claremont, with the Rev. Stanley Piwowar, pastor of St Joseph Church, officiating. RAYMOND - Joseph A. Chaisson, 77, of Raymond, passed away of heart failure at his home on Friday, June 24, 2005. He was born on June 29, 1927 in Westbrook, the son of the late Alex and Mildred (Doucet) Chaisson and attended Westbrook schools. He worked for a year at the South Portland Shipyard before, enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served six years during World War II and the Korean War. He was then employed by the S.D. Warren Co. of Westbrook, retiring after 43 years of service in the paper machine department. Following his retirement, he worked part time as a maintenance technician for Apple Tree Village in Gray and for a brief time, at New Marblehead Manor in Windham. He met his wife, the former Nola Renaud of Dover, N.H., when she was a student nurse at Mercy Hospital in Portland, and they were married on Nov 6,1954. He built a home on Turner Street in Westbrook where they raised their six children and in 1976, they moved to Little Sebago Lake in Raymond. He loved living on the lake and watching the loons; and he took great pride in his yard, always keeping it well groomed and helping his wife with the care of their many flower beds. He enjoyed the outdoors, cutting his wood, taking long walks, and downhill skiing with his children. He was also a sports enthusiast and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Patriots. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Windham and an usher at the 4 p.m. Mass on Saturday for many years. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and once served as Grand Knight of Council #10020. He also spent many summers cleaning and maintaining St. Raymond's Chapel in Raymond for visiting priests and was always available to help the clergy when needed. He was a volunteer for Camp Sunshine in Casco and a member of the American Legion Post #62 in Westbrook. He had a strong faith and was devoted to his church and family. He served for many years on the board of directors of Little Sebago Lodges and was a past president. He was often seen working on the roads in the area, which gave him an opportunity to meet many of the neighbors and assist them if necessary. He was an unsung hero, loyal and dependable, and will be sadly missed by everyone who know him and whose lives he touched. Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Nola, and their six children, Paul Chaisson and his wife, Brenda of Altus, Okla., David Chaisson and his wife, Kathy of San Diego, Calif., Anne Smith of Niceville, Fla., Stephen Chaisson of Los Angeles, Calif., Valerie Rust and her husband, Bruce of Sebago, and Peter Chaisson of Niceville, Fla. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and a special nephew, Robert Gieringer and his wife, Sharon of Raymond; his four sisters, Edna Cich and her husband, Gordon of Ocala, Fla., M. Dorothy McGuirk of Westbrook, Margaret Beane and her husband, Clifford of Ocala, Fla., and Loretta Hughes and her husband, Dan of Waskom, Texas. Visiting hours Thursday, 2-4 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. p.m., at Blais Funeral Home in Westbrook. Funeral will be held Friday at OLPH Church in Windham at 11 a.m.

LUDLOW - Roland R. Robitaille, 77, of Ludlow, passed away on Saturday June 25, 2005 in Agawam. Born in Ludlow and a longtime resident, he was the son of the late Armand and Marguerite (Dupont) Robitaille. Roland had also resided in Indian Orchard. He was a retired supervisor for the former Ala-vel Mills of Chicopee and the former Alamac Knitting Mills of Indian Orchard. He retired in 1991. Roland was an Army veteran of World War II and served in Japan as a member of the occupation forces. He was a member of the American Legion in Palmer. He is survived by a son; FC1 Russ W. Robitaille, USN of Norfolk, VA; (2) daughters; Linda J. LaFrancis of Indian Orchard; Ann Chapman of North Franklin, CT; (2) brothers; Geroge Robitaille and Eugene Robitaille both of Ludlow; (2) sisters; Beatrice Rush of Chicopee; Shirley Anne Hebert of West Springfield; (6) grandchildren; Shawn LaFrancis; Cora Houff; Jay Houff; Austin Chapman; Connor Chapman; Joshua Roland Robitaille; a great grandson; David Michael LaFrancis and many nieces and nephews.
