GORHAM - Frederick J. LaMontagne Sr., 67, of Gorham, died Friday, May 20, 2005 at his home after a long battle with cancer.He was born in Danvers, Mass., a son of Edmund and Jane (Shalkoski) LaMontagne, and was a 1955 graduate of Danvers High School. He graduated from Merrimack College, Andover, Mass., in 1959 with a degree in business administration. He served in the National Guard from 1955-1963.On Sept. 7, 1958, he married the former Carol McLaughlin in Danvers, Mass., and, in 1978, they moved to Gorham. He worked at Northern Data Systems in Falmouth for 18 years, still serving as vice president of sales at the time of his death.Fred was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, the Merrimack College Alumni Association, and was a regular communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church where he served as a eucharistic minister and CCD instructor. Fred is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol of Gorham; his mother, Jane LaMontagne of Danvers, Mass.; two sons, Frederick J. LaMontagne Jr., and his wife, Theresa (Hawkes)of Gorham, and Peter B. LaMontagne and his wife, Lynn (Finney) of Manassas, Va.; a daughter, Anne Marie Louie and her husband, John of Belmont, Calif.; four brothers, Richard LaMontagne and his wife, Mary of Boca Raton, Fla., David LaMontagne and his wife, Jan of Ipswich, Mass., Kris LaMontagne and his wife, Lisa of Herndon, Va., and Mark LaMontagne and his wife, Nancy of Exeter, N.H.; and seven grandchildren, Frederick James, III, Elizabeth Mary and Lucas John of Gorham; Benjamin Edward, Christian James, and Julian Paul of Manassas, Va., and Elizabeth Claire Louie of Belmont, Calif. Fred was an avid fisherman and devoted and loving grandfather, who in his last years found no greater joy than sharing his love of fishing with his five grandsons and two granddaughters.Visiting hours will be 2-8 p.m., on Monday, May 23, at the Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, May 24, at the funeral home followed by an 11 a.m., concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Gorham. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Gorham.

BRISBANE, YUBA CITY, Calif. and OLD TOWN - William L. Landry, 53, died March 26, 2005, in Sutter County, Calif., due to a motor cycle accident. He was born June 27, 1951, in Old Town, a son of Clayton and Freda (Bosse) Landry. William was a 1969 graduate of Old Town High School and served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an electrician for more than 30 years, most recently working for ACE Services in Brisbane. He is survived by his parents Clayton and Freda Landry of Old Town; two brothers, John A. Landry of Yuba City, Calif. and Bob Landry of Bradenton, Fla. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Landry. Germaine C. Plante 92, formerly of 218 Pond St. Woonsocket died Saturday in the Holiday Nursing Home in Lincoln. She was the wife of the late Conrad Dansereau and Rosaire Plante. Mrs. Plante was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Arthur and Julienne (Poulin) St. Germain. She was a doubler for the former Alsace Worsted Co. for twenty five years retiring in 1974. She was a former member of the Parkview Club, the St. Joseph Sr. Citizens, Holy Family Sr. Citizens and St. Joan of Arc St. Citizens. Mrs Plante is survived by two sons Conrad Dansereau Jr. and Richard Dansereau both of Woonsocket, a sister Laurence Chevalier of Lincoln, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Arthur, Joseph, Armand, and Leon St. Germaine. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in All Saints Church Rathbun St. Woonsocket. NEW BEDFORD -- Yvette Blanche (Casey) LeBlanc, 86, of New Bedford died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of Herve L. LeBlanc. A lifelong resident of New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Anna (Belanger) Casey. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church. She was a homemaker. Mrs. LeBlanc was a member of Women's Guild at St. Mary Church and active in church affairs. She enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Attorney Michael H. LeBlanc and his fiancee, Diane Kenyon, of New Bedford; a daughter, Lorraine DeMoranville and her husband, Philip, of Lakeville; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. She was the grandmother of the late Yvette DeMoranville; mother-in-law of the late Denise LeBlanc; and sister of the late James A. Casey. Her funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Church. CARRIERE, Gilbert J., 82, of Hudson, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2005, at Bear Creek Nursing Center in Hudson. Born in Whitensville, Mass., he moved to Florida in 1985 from Indian Orchard, Mass. He was a die sinker for Moore Company in Springfield, Mass., and was of the Roman Catholic faith. Gilbert was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include a daughter, Jill Rothwell of Sterling Heights, Mich.; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Sylvio Joseph Voisine of Manchester, formerly of Vernon, passed away at Rockville General Hospital, Thursday (May 19 2005). Born in Fort Kent, ME, March 24, 1912, the son of Ovide and Philomene (Vaillancourt) Voisine. He is the widower of Isabelle (Boutot) Voisine. He resided in Stockholm, ME before moving to Connecticut and was employed as a carpenter for many years. Sylvio is survived by two daughters, Anita Emerick of Florida, and Joyce LaForest of New York; two sons, Exior Voisine of West Stafford and Roger Voisine of Maine; two step-sons, Levi Fournier of Florida and Joseph "Red" Fournier of Andover; two sisters, Delia Janton of Willington and Rita Bernaiche of Maine; a special nephew, Daniel Castonguay of Willington; 27 grand-chil dren; and several great-grand children; nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he is predeceased by two sisters, Emma Jacques, and Rosanna Lausier Hodgson; two brothers, Exior and Herbert Voisine; a son-in-law, Allen LaForest; and a grandson, Bobby Emerick. There are no calling hours. Burial will take place, after cremation, at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Rockville, at a later date. FRENCHVILLE - Herman "Armand" Marquis, 75, died May 19, 2005, at a Madawaska Nursing Home. He was born April 7, 1930, in Frenchville, the son of Patrick and Catherine (Chamberland) Marquis. He was a member of the American Legion Post 145 of Frenchville, he served in the U.S. Army and a Korean War veteran. He worked for Gerard Raymond Farm for more than 40 years. He is survived by one son, Danny and his wife, Debbie; three grandchildren, Jason, Brian, Sarah, all of Frenchville; one daughter, Linda Gagnon; two grandchildren, Gene and Carole, of Bangor; two sisters, Patricia Lavoie and Irma Bosse, both of St. Agatha. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorilla Belanger; four brothers, Nelson, Camille, Ronald and Irving. She is survived by loving daughter, Maureen Sampson of Lower L'Ardoise, dear grandsons, Dwight (Simone), Halifax, Carl, Ottawa, Brent, Lower L'Ardoise, and dear brother, Harry "Mike" Hoppe (Lulu) of Pierrefonds, Quebec. Bea's body has been donated to Dalhousie University for the furtherance of medical science. Memorial service and burial at a later date through Dalhousie. NARSTED, Aldyth Ruth (nee Blackstock). Of St. Catharines and formerly of Lachine and St. Lambert, Quebec, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2005 in her eighty-eight year at the Henley House in St. Catharines. Predeceased by her husband George Kendall Narsted (1999) and her son Robert Kendall Narsted (2000). She is survived by her daughters Patricia Robertson (Don) of St. Catharines, ON, Susan Stunden (Derek) of North Pelham, ON, her son Peter Narsted of Vancouver BC, her daughter-in-law Robin Narsted of Dollard des Ormeaux, Quebec, and brother Eric Blackstock of Comox, BC. Ruth will be sadly missed by her family, friends and grandchildren Jill, Jennifer, and Kristie; Melissa, Trevor, Kelsie and Brenna; Cory and Colin; and Kyla and by her seven great-grandchildren. Her sense of humour, spirit for life and her compassion for others touched many a soul during her stay on this earth. Ruth's life will be celebrated by a memorial evening, which will be held at Rodman Hall Arts Centre in St. Catharines on Friday, May 27, 2005 from 6 to 9 p.m. The evening will be a drop in format with her paintings and poetry on display.
