MEMORY, DARYL JOHN - On Wednesday, May 18, 2005, Daryl J. Memory, beloved husband of 29 years to Beverly (Linton) Memory, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of Agnes Memory and the late Patrick Memory Sr. Daryl was employed with Saint John Transit for over twenty years as a bus driver. He was a wonderful father and a loving husband and never missed a summer vacation to Nova Scotia with his wife and children. He will be greatly missed and will be forever in the hearts of his family and friends. Clyde John Martin November 11, 1911 - May 18, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) MARTIN, Clyde John - 93, Oceanview Manor, Eastern Passage, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 18, 2005, in the manor. Born November 11, 1911 in Dartmouth, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mable (Levy) Martin. Clyde was employed with the Dartmouth Marine Slips for 50+ years and during prohibition worked and sailed on the rum runners. After retiring from the shipyards as Mechanical Superintendent, he worked with Maritime Hydraulics for about five years. He was a volunteer fireman with the Union Protection Company (UPC), and served on the board of advisors for Akerley Community College. He was an avid bowler and also was a member of the Model Steam Engine Society. Clyde is survived by daughter, Leah (Paul) Burnitt, Houston; son, Clyde (Linda), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Tony Martin, Michelle Collin, Paul Burnitt Jr., Jill Burnitt; great-grandchildren, Brandon Collin, Michael Martin, Paul Burnitt III "Trace", Maya Collin and Bradley Burnitt. He was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude Winnifred. PRINCE, Gary David - It is with deep sadness and heartache that we announce the passing of Gary David Prince. Gary passed away peacefully in bed of a heart attack March 30, 2005 in the city of Ansan, South Korea, where he was teaching English. Survived by his brother Dan and sister Janet, he was predeceased by his mother Lu, father David and sister Kathy. Gary was born in Toronto on April 6, 1941. He taught elementary school for 17 years from 1964 to 1981, spent five years writing educational materials from 1988 to 1993 and attained his bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from Trent University in 1979. Gary founded a mail order book service known as Holy Rosary Apostolate and ran it from 1979 to 2003. He also worked as a Marketing Research Consultant from 1997 to 2001. He was teaching ESL in private elementary schools from 2001-2005. J. Edward Plewes 1937-2004 ALLISTON, ON - The untimely death of Edward Plewes occurred on November 18, 2004 in Newmarket, ON. TREMBLAY, Jean-Denis p.m.é. (1933-2005) M. l'abbé Jean-Denis Tremblay, prêtre des Missions-Étrangères, est décédé à Sherbrooke, le 18 mai 2005, à l'âge de 72 ans. Né à Sherbrooke le 5 mai 1933, il était le fils de Denis Tremblay et de Juliette Labrecque. Il a fait ses études secondaires au Séminaire St-Charles Borromée de Sherbrooke et ses études théologiques au Grand Séminaire des Missions-Étrangères de Pont-Viau. Il fut ordonné prêtre le 28 juin 1959. Il travailla au Japon de 1960 à 1974 et de 1987 à 1988. Au Canada, il fut rédacteur et responsable de la revue ''Missions-Étrangères'' (1974-1981), de la revue Univers (1981-1983), puis exerça son ministère dans des paroisses et organismes commu-nautaires de Laval. Born in MacDougall Settlement, NB, she was the daughter of the late Barnabé and Alvina (William) McGraw. She was a retired housewife, who attended Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters, Hectorine Manuel, Jeannette (Irevée) Cormier of MacDougall Settlement; two sons, Hyacinthe (Claudette) Manuel Junior and Yvon (Theresa) Manuel of Moncton; five grandchildren, Guy, Anne, Rachel, Lisa, Crystal; and one greatgrandchild, Dylan. She was predeceased by her husband, Hyancinthe Manuel (1990); two sisters, Rosalie and Rosanna; two brothers Alphée and Algénie. Viola Trueman JOLICURE, NB - The death of Viola Trueman, age 84, of Jolicure, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 19, 2005. Born in Lyon's Brook, NS, she was a daughter of the late Moody and Lillian (Deagle) Wilson. She attended the Jolicure United Church since 1942. Viola is survived by two nephews, Allison (Sharon) Wilson, Jolicure and Stephen Wilson, Winnipeg, MN; a grandson, Jason, Jolicure; a granddaughter, Angela, Jolicure; a brother Harlan, Oromocto, NB. She was predeceased by her husband Irving Trueman in 1978 and by brothers, Walter and Fraser. The remains have been forwarded for cremation. He was an avid Bingo player. Born December 11th, 1921, son of the late William & Josephine (Wetmore) (Craig) Matheson. Hilyard worked most of his life for the City of Lancaster where he was President of the Union until amalgamation with the City of Saint John, retiring in 1979. Over his many years he played baseball, bowling and his favorite, golf, as a member of the Westfield Golf and Country Club. Surviving in addition to his wife Lillian are his sons and daughter, Margo Matheson of West Saint John, Rennie (Linda) of South Oromocto Lake, Terry (Lynn) and Chris (Coral) all of Martinon, grandchildren, Donnie, Dougie, Clayton, Starr, Morgan and Evan, great grandchildren, Cody , Connor, and Andrea, brothers Walter (Bunky) and Wallace (Ethel), sister Bonnie (Edwina), Noreen, Lorraine, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, and husband Ron, she is survived by her daughter Natasha Robichaud (Stephen Melvin) of Saint John, four brothers; Frank (Sue) McDermott, Jr. of Grand Bay - Westfield, Carl (Brenda) McDermott of Saint John, Mark (Lisa) McDermott of Saint Martins, and Darren (Bonnie-Jo) McDermott of Saint John, one sister; Trudy (Andrew) Bramen of Fredericton Junction, her mother-in-law Irene (LeBlanc) Robichaud and her father-in-law Edmund J. MCEACHREN, CHARLES WALTER Retired Corporal Charles Walter McEachren, CD of Oromocto, NB, passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Thursday, May 18th, 2005 after fighting a good fight. Born in Sandy Point, NL he was the son of the late John and Evelyn (Bandfield) McEachren and the husband of Evelyn (Hayward) McEachren. Charles was in the WWII conflict in Italy and served in the military for 32 years. He was based out of several places including, Washington, DC, St. John's, NL, Halifax, NS, served a year in the Peace Corp in Egypt and was also based out of CFB Gagetown where he finished out his service and retired. After his retirement from the military, he decided to work as a cook for the RCMP in Fredericton, enjoying this career for four years. Charles was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93, the Free Masons and the Orange Lodge. He also especially enjoyed fishing off the bridge on Treasure Island at their winter home. Charles was a wonderful and loving husband and father and he will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn; daughters, Janet Boyer (James) of Penetanguishene, ON, Heather Mielke (Greg) of Petawawa, ON and Karen McFarlane (Gary) of Charters Settlement, NB. He was also a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren, James Boyer (Carolyn), John Boyer (Candice), Toby Mielke, Hollie Mielke, Valeri Perry (Shawn) and his great-grandchildren, Konrad Boyer and Amy Perry. He is also survived by his siblings, Frances White (Adain), Mary Hulan (Edgar), Cameron McEachren (Marilyn), Banfield McEachren (Loretta), Edna Dean (George), Evelyn Loder (Angus), Mervin McEachren (Bertha), Selby McEachren (Carmel), and David McEachren (Margaret Pinksen); sister-in-law, Josephine McEachren and many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; infant brother, Israel and his brother, James. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Friday, May 20th, 2005 from 2-4 and 79 pm with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93 holding a tribute service at 7:00 pm. Margaret was born in Grassy Lake, Alberta on February 16, 1919 and grew up near Claresholm, Alberta. She met her husband, John Charles Golightly, in 1943. After their marriage they moved to England where she worked at Canada House. In 1945 they moved to New Zealand returning to Calgary in 1953. Margaret is lovingly remembered by her son Ian and daughter-in-law Alayna; four grandsons David (Stacy) Evans, Colin, Gerald and Sean. She was predeceased by infant son Robin and sister Louise Spence. The family would like to thank the staff of the Special Care Unit at Bethany Calgary for the loving care they provided to Margaret. A Memorial Service celebrating Margaret's life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 4211 Richmond Road SW, on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Gordon Hanson officiating.
