Ronald was born October 10, 1932 in West Hartford, CT to the late Richard and Ann (Burns) Despard. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. He was a professional engineer. He was also a 4th Degree K.C. He worked for and retired from Exxon Mobil after 40 years of service.He is survived by his three children, Ronnie V. Bodin and wife Laura of St. Martinville; three grandchildren, Michael Thomas and wife Sophia of Metairie, Allen W. She was the wife of the late Reginald Gagnon, who was owner and founder of Gagnon Trucking Co. She had resided in Wallagrass for many years. She had worked with her husband for the Trucking Co. and had also been employed by the Fafnir Bearing Co. She is survived by four daughters, Pauline and Camille Gagne of Forestville, Madeline and Vincent Sperlazza of Southington, Jacqueline and Don Damboise of Plainville, and Carol Cyr of Delaware; three sons, Reginald and Debbie Gagnon of Middletown, Nelson and Shirley Gagnon, and Leo and Diane Gagnon, all of Southington; four sisters, Priscilla Brausseau, Claudette Whear, Orora Marin of Bristol, and Pauline Pelletier of Maine; 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2005, at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. She graduated from high school in St. Agatha in the depression era 1930's and took care of her older siblings' children and did home knitting for a New York contractor. Annette came to Sheridan in 1940 to work as a housekeeper for Fr. Grondin and there she met her future husband, Oville LeBlanc who delivered milk to the rectory. They married in 1945 and spent 34 years together before Oville died in 1979. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Roberta. Annette is survived by her sons, Frank LeBlanc of Sheridan; George LeBlanc and his wife Sandra (Prue) LeBlanc of Hermon; her grandchildren, Maria LeBlanc of Clermont, Fla., and Geoffrey LeBlanc of Nashville Plantation; her twin sister, Lorette Mandrall of Branford, Conn. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Mark Catholic Church, Ashland with Rev. Michael Hinken, SOLT, pastor, celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Amy Robar. She was a long-time member of St. Christopher's Church, Hatchet Lake, and continued to be an active member until the time of her illness. Ruth was a devoted wife and loving mother to her five children. After raising her children, she continued to provide childcare to Matthew and Sarah in her home. She enjoyed traveling, reading and embroidery. The bright spot in her life was her grandchildren, Kristopher, Sarah, Russell, Andrew and Stefanie. She had a special place in her heart for her adopted daughter, Cath Stove. Ruth will be forever remembered for her gentle spirit and the love she gave so freely. REYNOLDS, Charles Edward (Chuck) P..Eng - Suddenly at Kemptville District Hospital, Ontario on May 20, 2005, at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of Lou (Roynon) of Midland. Father of Charles Robert (Susan) of London, Ontario and John William (Sue) of North Gower, Ontario. Grandchildren Charles, Sarah, Travis, Ashley and Jamie. Predeceased by his father Col. Ed Reynolds, his mother Mary and his brother Marc. He is survived by his brother Tom of Midland. Born September 30, 1926 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Chuck graduated from the University of Toronto in Civil Engineering Class of 1949. He joined Canadian National Railways and held many system wide managerial positions while based in Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba. In 1970, he directed operations of her majesty Queen Elizabeth's tour of Manitoba's Centennial. In 1977, he was seconded to the Canadian Military to attend National Defense College, Kingston, Ontario, an intensive year of study of the political-social interface of countries of the world. In 1979, he was invited by The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, (The World Bank) to join its staff in Washington, D.C. to assist third world countries to improve the operations of their railways in Zaire, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and Nairobi. In 1985 after one week of intense language training, he switched languages from French to Spanish and began working in Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, Chili, Venezuela and Bolivia. Most visiting experts were called "senor" but Churck Reynolds was given the distinction of "Jefa" or Chief. Lou and Churck enjoyed splitting their time between their homes in Penetanguishene and Alexandria, VA. An ardent skier and sailor, Chuck was a master mason and a member of Caledonian Lodge No. 249 in Midland. The funeral service was held on May 23, 2005. Memorial donations to the Lung Association or to the Boy Scouts of Canada would be appreciated by the family. -

He leaves his wife of 25 years, Mary Suzanne (Pelletier) Marois; a son, Marc M. and his wife Amy Marois of Tempe, AZ; a daughter, Melissa A. and her husband Peter Lopez of Whittier, CA; a sister, Phyllis Delude of Harwich; 7 grandchildren, Samantha, Julian and Jacob Lopez, Mitchell, Skylar, Luke and Brooklynn Marois; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane and Edward McTigue of Paxton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A brother, Robert Marois, predeceased him. He was born in Holden, son of Rosario A. and Anna (Yanch) Marois. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School, Worcester Jr. College and the Mass. State Police Academy, class of 1964. Mr. Marois was a former state trooper. He also worked in retail security in Arizona, California and Texas and more recently for Lamoureux Ford in East Brookfield. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, the Plantation Golf & Country Club and the Plantation Community Foundation. He was also a member of the Former Mass. State Police Association. The funeral Mass for Mr. Marois will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 23, in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton. Talbot, Mary (Murray) -- May 18, 2005 Mary Talbot, 91, formerly of Skaneateles, died Wednesday in Ithaca. Mary worked as an RN during World War II and locally at Auburn Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Church and its Altar & Rosary Society. She was a tireless volunteer for the Stella Maris Retreat House and Meals on Wheels among others. She was predeceased by husbands George Christy, 1947 and William Talbot, 1996 plus beloved sisters Ruth Whiter and Sarah Koehler. Mr. Sonnier was a Eucharistic Minister for 25 years and also served as Parish Council President. He received the Diocese of Lafayette Devoted Service Award and had made Cursillo No. 7. Mr. Sonnier was a veteran of military service, having served in the Louisiana National Guard.Prior to his retirement, Mr. Sonnier was employed with Guaranty Bank & Trust Company and Premier Bank with 40 years of service. COHOES, NY -- Raymond J. St. Gelais, 71, of Columbia St. in Cohoes, died suddenly May 18, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Born on September 7, 1933 in Cohoes, son of the late Henry and Marie St. Gelais. Raymond was a machine operator for Bendix Corporation in Green Island. A United States Army veteran, Raymond's hobbies included day trips to various casinos and playing the horses. Survivors include two sons, Douglas (Joyce) St. Gelais of Bennington, Vt. and Dennis St. Gelais of Cobleskill, N.Y.; two daughters, Ann Marie St. Gelais and (Jerry Kickery) of Pittsfield, Mass. and Kathy Crisp of North Adams, Mass.; one brother, Donald St. Gelais of Port Richey, Fla., and one sister, Beatrice Golowaty-Hubbard of Petersburgh, N.Y.; also survived by ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces including his devoted niece, Tian Chorwat of Valley Falls, and many nephews. CHALOUX, Jeannette (nee Simard) In loving memory of Jeannette Chaloux who passed away on Friday, May 6th, 2005 in Montreal, P.Q. She lived in Sudbury from 1947 to 1993 before moving to Montreal. Predeceased by her husband Eddy in 1989, and by her parents. She is survived by her three sisters and three brothers, and many nieces and nephews, all from Montreal and Montmagny, P.Q. She was also a very close and very dear friend of Alida Grenier of Sudbury. Jeannette was a very devoted parishner of St. Eugene's Church, a volunteer at Laurentian Hospital, and Regent for the Daughters of Isabella Marion Circle #908, as well as a member of the Idylwylde Curling Club. She had worked as a supervisor for J.W. Woolworth in the food dept. from 1960 to 1977. Funeral Service was held in Montreal and interment in the Valley East Cemetery in Hanmer.
