BLANCHARD Charles ""Tee'' John Blanchard, Sr., a Gretna, LA native, died Sunday, May 15, 2005 at 9:20 a.m. at West Jefferson Medical Center. He was 78 years old and an avid golfer. Charles, a graduate of Tulane University, was a retired Accountant for J. Ray McDermott and Gulf South Bank. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony Church and had generously contributed his time and talents there through the years including daily devotion. He was a Eucharistic Minister, a church commentator and was formerly President of the St. Anthony Parish Council. On May 7, 2000, Tee received the Order of St. Louis Medallion in recognition of great dedication and years of service to his church. Charles was in the Merchant Marines, the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Beloved husband of 51 years to Marilyn Lapeyronnie Blanchard. Son of the late Thomas O. Blanchard and Edna Weiser Blanchard. Father of Stephen Blanchard, Sheryl Blanchard Humphreys and husband, William, Charles Blanchard, Jr. and the late Thomas Blanchard. Brother of the late Thomas E. Blanchard. Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of J. Blanchard, all of Port Allen; a sister, Marie B. Palmer, Baton Rouge; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Millard Blanchard; parents, Joseph B. Sr. and Hermine Cline Blanchard; two sisters, Ona B. Stafford and Lola B. Fontana; and two brothers, Raymond S. BOISVERT, LOUIS W., JR., 'BUZZY' 68, of Valley View Drive died Monday. He was the husband of Marilyn F. (Miga) Boisvert.Born in Burrillville, he was a son of the late Louis W. and Loretta (Rivers) Boisvert. He had been a resident of Smithfield since 1962 and had previously lived in Pascoag.Mr. Boisvert had been an English teacher at Burrillville High School. He also taught English at Henry Barnard School in Providence. He taught in the Elementary Education Department at Rhode Island College until 1990. After leaving Rhode Island College he became a member of the Elementary Education Dept. at Providence College for 10 years until 2003.He was a graduate of Burrillville High School where he was the co-captain of the Football, Baseball and Hockey teams. He had played hockey at Providence College. He received his BA from Providence College in 1958, a MA from the University of RI, a MA and PhD from Ball State University in Indiana.He coached the Mount St. Charles Junior High Boys Basketball team, the Smithfield Little League and Sr. League Baseball, Smithfield Girls Softball, and Youth Basketball. He was a former Secretary for the Smithfield Little League, a former member of the St. Philip School Committee and an active member of St. Philip Church.Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Louis W. 'Buz' Boisvert, III and Timothy P. Boisvert both of Plantation, FL, Charles M. Boisvert of Greenville, Kevin G. Boisvert of Edison, NJ, a daughter Gerene P. Mabray of Johnston, eleven grandchildren Alexandra, Samantha, Buzzy, IV, Greg, Kimberly, Colin and Conner Boisvert, and Justina, Corey, Jarren and Sydney Mabray, and a sister, Barbara Mousseau of Greenville. CHESHIRE -- Philip A. Boulerice, 58, of Elgin, Texas, formerly of Cheshire, died April 16 at Central Texas Veterans Health Care System in Temple, Texas. Born in Adams on Feb. 21, 1947, son of Arthur A. and Katherine Benz Boulerice, he was a 1965 graduate of the former Adams Memorial High School. He had resided in Austin, Texas, before moving to Elgin. An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, he entered the service immediately after graduating and was trained in refrigeration at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. He also served in Germany, Spain and England. He retired in 1985 from Goodfellow Air Base in San Angelo, Texas. Mr. Boulerice was employed as a truck driver for the Austin (Texas) American-Statesman newspaper for 12 years. He enjoyed working on cars, building computers and visiting the Berkshires. His wife, the former Sandra Kathleen Collins, whom he married in August 1976, died Nov. 7. Besides his parents, of Cheshire, he leaves three brothers, Michael Boulerice Sr. of Williamstown, and Robert A. Boulerice and Edward R. HOLYOKE-- Robert B. Bussiere, age 40, died Sunday May 15, 2005. He was born in Holyoke, was educated in the Holyoke Schools, and was a graduate of Holyoke High School. Robert has been employed at Holyoke Hospital for more than fifteen years, and was also a twenty year bartender at the Brian Boru Club of Holyoke. He had been an alter server at Holy Cross Church in his youth, and was a longtime softball player in the Holyoke Adult League. Robert was predeceased by his father Emile O. Bussiere in 1989. He ws survived by his mother Bevery A. (Lucia) Bussiere-Pelkey and step-father David Pelkey of Holyoke, a daughter Jamie of Holyoke. One Brother: Bruce Bussiere and his wife Lyn of Agawam. One Sister: Brenda Morris and her husband Robert of Holyoke, as well as five ieces & nephews: Heather, Zack, Courtney, and Brittney Bussiere, and Madison Morris. Atty. Ferdinand P. Cavalier, 96, of West Hartford, husband of the late Adah (Campo) Cavalier, passed away peacefully Saturday, (May, 14, 2005) at John Dempsey Hospital. Born in New Haven, August 24, 1908, son of the late Pasquale and Rosalia (Maturo) Cavalier. He was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, Georgetown University, Class of 1932 and received his law degree from Hartford College of Law, which is now UCONN Law School. Prior to retiring, Ferdinand was a partner in the Law Firm of Gilman and Marks in Hartford for over 40 years, retiring in 1983 at the age of 75. He was a United States Army Air Force veteran of World War II, serving with the 3rd Air Division and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He is survived by his three children, Maria-Teresa Trapani of West Hartford, Michael J. Cavalier of Thousand Oaks, CA and Ferdinand "Fred" P. Cavalier Jr. of West Jefferson, NC; eight grandchildren, Adam Cavalier and his wife Denise, Jason Cavalier and his wife Katherine, Michael "Mick" Cavalier and his wife Melissa, Jill Allaria and her husband Marc, Atty. Jennifer Cavalier, Christopher Cavalier, Lia Trapani and Josef Trapani and five great-grandchildren. HARWICH - Rose B. (DuBois) Yeaton, 84, died May 8 at Epoch Senior Healthcare of Harwich.She was the wife of Seth A. Yeaton, who died in 1993. They were married for 52 years. Mrs. Yeaton was born in Springfield. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at Wrentham State School and was also employed at Springfield Armory, Springfield. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in East Longmeadow, where she lived for many years before moving to Yarmouth in 1998. She designed hats and also crocheted and sewed. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and swimming. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Woodland of Yarmouth; a grandson; and two nephews. She was also the mother of Arthur Baxter, who died in 1985. Looney of Leicester, Joseph A. and his wife Patricia Franchi of Millbury, Michelle R. and her husband Steven Grahn of Leicester; three sisters; Marcia T. and her husband James Walsh of Sutton, Mary L. and her husband Albert Heck of Grafton, and Deborah A. Walsh of Boylston; two brothers, Norman J. Foisy of California and Joseph F. and his wife Audrey of Florida. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert P. Foisy. Lorinda also leaves 13 grandchildren; Jimmy, Craig, Jacinda, Rocky, and Angelo Graham, Kristina, Kasey, Shannon, and Shelby Looney, Joey and Jessica Franchi, and Samantha and Rebecca Grahn, a God Daughter Stephanie Walsh, nephews and nieces. Lorinda was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Adelard and Stephanie (Zawalich) Foisy, and lived in Worcester most of her life. She was a graduate of Ascension High School 1957, and worked for WCIS in Worcester before she had children and became a full time stay at home mother. She was a Sports Enthusiast, GO RED SOX!, she was a Democrat, and was very involved in politics and many campaigns also for Congressman Jim McGovern. Lorinda was a former member of Ascension Church. Her funeral will be held Wednesday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Ascension Church, 40 Vernon St. Calling hours at the funeral home are 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday. CHICOPEE - Raymond Roger Henault, 81, of Chicopee, died Friday, May 13, 2005 at home. Born November 18, 1923, he was a lifelong Chicopee resident. He was the son of the late Omer and Eglantine (Talbot) Henault, and the stepson of the late Yvonne (Roy) Henault. He was a 37 year tool grinder for the former AG Spalding Co., retiring in 1989, and also served as past president and past treasurer of the Spalding Credit Union. A Navy veteran of World War II, he served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of War. Raymond was a "Good Christian Man", a member of the Pioneer Valley Baptist Chapel, and beloved Sunday School Teacher at the Chapel. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley T. (LaPlante) Henault; 3 children: Ray Henault of Chicopee, Paul C. Henault of Chicopee, and Anne M. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late William and Alice (Boisselle) Kennedy and was a graduate of the former Sacred Heart School. Marion was a longtime food service employee in the Holyoke Public School System, retiring this year. An avid bowler, she was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. Marion is survived by her beloved husband Donald Plasse. A son Donald at home. Two Daughters: Patricia Geanacopolos of South Hadley and Kim Decaro of Southwick. Two Brothers: William Kennedy of FL and James Kennedy of Cambridge. Three Grandchildren: Nicole and Ashley Geanacopoulos and Crystal Decaro, as well as several nieces and nephews. QUEENSBURY, NY -- Hilda M. Hamelin, 85, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2005 at The Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Queensbury. Born on June 21, 1919 in Ausable, N.Y., she was the daughter of Raymond and Marjorie (Thomas) Pelkey. Hilda was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and baking. She was a 4-H leader for ten years in Saratoga and volunteered at Glens Falls Hospital. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Henry F. Hamelin on December 25, 1997, two brothers, Albert Pelkey and Alfred Pelkey, one sister, Violet Mayette and a granddaughter Renee Dion. Survivors include her children, Henry J. Hamelin and his wife Pauline of Saratoga Springs and Marjorie Dion of Ariz.; her grandchildren, Ian Hamelin of Saratoga Springs and Jolene Dion of Long Island; one sister, Alberta Patten of Glens Falls; and one brother, Raymond Pelkey of Keeseville. Marion Cecelia (Phenix) White, 93, passed into eternal rest at her home on Sunday, (May 15, 2005). Marion was born in Hartford on October 31, 1911 and was the daughter of the late Claude and Beatrice (Dowd) Phenix. She graduated from Weaver High School and was employed by the City of Hartford until her retirement in 1970. Marion appreciated life's many blessings and took great pleasure in sharing time with family and friends. A caring and loving person, Marion always put the needs of her family before her own and was admired and respected by all who knew her. She will be remembered as a kind, unselfish and caring mother who sacrificed her personal time to care for her husband, sisters, brothers and many others. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. FLAGER BEACH, Fla. -- Kenneth Malcolm Poirier Sr., 79, of Flagler Beach, formerly of Middleboro, died Friday, May 13, 2005, in a Florida hospital following an illness. He was the husband of Priscilla J. (Melville) Poirier. They were married nearly 57 years. Born in Rochester, he was the son of the late Joseph and Annie (Dovins) Poirier. He was raised and educated in Middleboro and moved to Flagler Beach a year ago. He was a stationary steam engineer at Crown Services in South Boston for more than 15 years, retiring in 1979. He was a bus driver with Bill's Taxi in Bridgewater and delivered milk in the area. Mr. Poirier was a member of the Elks Lodge 1548, Wareham, a life member of the Middleboro Sportsmans Club and the Mitchell Memorial Club. He enjoyed shellfishing, salt and freshwater fishing and boating. Survivors include his widow; three sons, Robert E. Poirier of Raynham, Kenneth M. Jr. and Norman E. Poirier, both of Middleboro; two daughters, Ruth E. Young of Flagler Beach and Sherry L. Shay-Wassell of Hanson; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Mimi was born in Quebec City, Canada, in 1915, graduated from Cathedral High School in 1934, married in 1941 and lived in Burlington. Most of her life was devoted to being a housewife and mother. During her latter years, she worked as a supervisor of the lunch program at Thayer School, worked as a secretary at Burlington High School and at St. Jospeh's Nursing Home. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Eldos, and belonged to several bridge clubs. A memorial service will be held in the near future.
