Beloved sister of Lucy, Yolanda, and Anne, she will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. BEAUDRY, Yvonne (age 72) - born February 21, 1933 in Spokane; passed away May 14, 2005 in Coeur d'Alene, ID. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, George Beaudry of Coeur d'Alene, ID; sons: Paul (Sheila) Beaudry of Post Falls, ID, Stephen (Stephanie) Beaudry of Hayden Lake, ID; four grandchildren: Alison Beaudry, Jillian Beaudry, Grey Beaudry, Drake Beaudry; sisters: Ann Duncan and Judy Jaremko; and several nieces and nephews. She was a lifetime resident of the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene area. Yvonne was a car enthusiast, new car dealer, interior decorator, and an exceptional business woman. Yvonne and George began their car dealerships with British Auto Parts in 1960, then Landrover, Rover and Triumph dealership in 1965. Yvonne ran the Datsun/Nissan dealership in 1968, when they moved to Coeur d'Alene; George ran the parts store. Other franchises included Toyota, Volkswagen and Subaru, DeLorean, Maserati, and Jaguar. Yvonne was an excellent cook and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 19, 2005 at 1:00 at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 3423 E. Mr. James Alexander Dunsmore July 29, 1918 - April 16, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Richmond Funeral Home Our Dad passed away peacefully last month at his loving home at Fraserview Lodge. No doubt, he was happy to leave behind his aged body and dance in the clouds with our Mom who predeceased him at Christmastime. It was difficult for us to watch our beloved father struggle with Alzheimer's, but even now just a few weeks later, we are able to remember him as the funny, strong, and remarkable gentleman he was for most of his precious life. Dad wore many hats during his 87 years, literally and figuratively. Photos over the years show Dad hiding his progressively balding head with some kind of memorable covering. We cherish the cap he wore so proudly as part of the WWII Navy. We smirk at the silly hats he dreamed up for special event costumes. We smile at the dapper fedores he wore as he worked his way from salesman to senior manager for Crown Zellerbach Fine Paper. But whether he was wearing the "hat" of husband, father, boss or friend, he was always a man of true integrity, kindess, and honesty. While some people may have used sports to further their careers, Dad participated for the sheer enjoyment of it. He enjoyed golfing with the boys (high score wins, right?). He adored fishing (do bloated spawning fish scooped with a net count?). But above all, he was the best sideline cheerleader for anything his family engaged in, whether it was sports, scholastics, or just plain living. Dad was always the guy we came to when we needed gentle encouragement, honest criticism, or something fixed. While he may have taken longer than other dads to build that gazebo, paint those walls, or invent that turkey lifter, he always did a perfect job. His favourite tinkering was probably done in the garden: roses for him and pansies for Mom. But no matter what he was fiddling with, he did it with tremendous conviction, love and a wonderful sense of humour. It was never for himself, it was always for his family. Dad is remembered and loved by daughter Lynne (Colin), daughter Gail, son Jim (Christy), brother Jack, sister Barbara (Wayne), the grandchildren, the great-grandchildren, and a large extended family of relatives and friends. LEWISTON - Jeannette L. Tetreault, 92, of 16 Hazel St., Auburn, died Monday evening, May 16, at the Marshwood Center for Health Care & Rehabilitation.She was born in Lewiston, Feb. 9, 1913, the daughter of Charles and Delvina Dubois Dube Jr. She was educated in Lewiston schools, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1932 and from the Maine General School of Nursing in Portland in 1936.She was married to Antonio L. Tetreault, on Aug. 14, 1939, and he predeceased her Aug. 3, 2003. She was employed as a private duty registered nurse and was a member of the Auburn Catholic community at Sacred Heart Church.Her life was her family; she loved her family, and her family loved her and will miss her.She is survived by two sons, Jack Tetreault and his wife, Anne, of Lewiston, and Gary Tetreault and his wife, Lucille, of Auburn; six grandchildren, John, Melissa, Marc, Jane, Sally and Charles; six great-grandchildren, Noah, Daniel, Hannah, Rachel, Travis and Tyson; two sisters, Florence Verville of Lewiston, and Lorraine Poirier and her husband, Bertrand, of Auburn; a brother, Arthur Dube and his wife, Helen, of Lewiston; and her dear friend, Dot McAtee of Lewiston.She was predeceased by a sister, Georgette Yorkston; and a brother, Joe Dube.

MADAWASKA - Ronald Pelletier, 73, died peacefully May 17, 2005, after enjoying a life blessed by God. He was born April 18, 1934, in Madawaska, the son of Alfred and Emiline (Long) Pelletier. He was a Korean War veteran, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Thomas O. Cyr American Legion Post No.147 of Madawaska. After developing a passion for photography in the Army, Ron and his wife, Lorraine attended school in New York and later returned to Madawaska to open and operate Pelletier's Studio and Camera Shop. Ron spent years as a professional photographer capturing memories for people throughout the St. John Valley. With Ron, nobody remained a stranger for very long and he made new friends wherever he went. A comic at heart, he always found something to joke about. He will be truly missed but fondly remembered by all who loved the man who was the source of smiles. Ron is survived by his love and best friend, Lorraine (Michaud) Pelletier of Madawaska; three children and six special grandkids, Vivian Soucy, her husband, Charles and their children, Nicole and Nate of Madawaska, Jim, his wife, Sherry and their children, Julia and Devan of Madawaska, Dan, his wife, Carolyn and their children, Ben and Colby of Desert Hills, Ariz. Funeral services will be held Friday 10 a.m. at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Groton - Joy Gauthier, wife of Dr. George J. Gauthier, passed to Eternal Life from her home in the arms of her loving husband, children, sister and friends after a long, courageous battle with lymphatic cancer. She endured seven years of treatment with dignity and grace.She was born to Gerald and Rosilda (Vachon) Steenbergen on July 20, 1945 in Laconia, N.H., and was always known by her middle name, Joy, which personified her warm and peaceful spirit and personality.She and George were married while they were students at U.N.H. and moved to Colorado Springs. They became avid campers and toured much of the Rocky Mountain area with their children. She helped with the Brownies, served as president of Sacred Heart School Parent Guild for two years, volunteered in the library, and worked to promote pro-life values in schools, at malls and in several pro-life marches in Washington. She was known for the creative birthday cakes she made for each of her children's birthdays. In 1976, she became an avid runner and participated in local road races and fun runs. With her children she also did several John Kelly New Years Day "Run and Plunges". One of her greatest pleasures was completing three East Lyme Marathons with her best ever time at age 50.She studied at the University of New Haven and earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration Magna Cum Laude in 1996. She worked for Pfizer for 14 years in the Personnel Department and in Clinical Research Regulatory Affairs, retiring in 1998. Soon thereafter she developed follicular lymphoma and underwent every known treatment for the disease including being the first patient in a Phase I study at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute which shows promise for a cure for this disease.Joy's great loves in life were her family and numerous friends around the world. With George she introduced the Marriage Encounter Program to many churches in southeastern Connecticut in the early 1970's. For years they did marriage preparation of young couples for the Norwich Diocese and in later years with dozens of individual couples in the Couple-to-Couple marriage preparation program. She also was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Choir.She and George traveled when they could with a highlight trip to the Oberammergau Passion Play in Germany. They were actively involved with button collecting groups at the state and national level and she won awards especially for her celluloid button collection and displays. She served as secretary of NERBA (New England Regional Button Association). She was an avid bird-watcher and traveled extensively in search of rare and beautiful species.Her children are Pamela Award and her husband, Dana, of Waterford, Mark and his wife, Dr. Lara Ault, with their son, Ethan, of Philadelphia, Drs. Lisa and Jeffrey Miceli, and their son, Jack, of New London, and Luke and his wife, Jenifer, with their children, Alexa and Ian, of Groton. Her only sibling is her beloved sister, Mary Jane Garcia-Rios and her husband, Dr. Jose Garcia-Rios, and their sons, Anthony and Kirk of Valparaiso, of Florida. She is survived by her loving mother-in-law, Lucille Gauthier, of Manchester, N.H., and five other brothers and sisters-in-law, and a dozen nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to count. She is also survived by her godmother, Mrs. Pauline LaCroix, of Alstead, N.H.She would want to be remembered by one of her favorite sayings "All I ask of you is forever to remember me as loving you".A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 20, 2005, at Sacred Heart Church, Groton, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic, following the Mass. (Sabourin) Albert, of 329 Walton St., died Monday afternoon, May 16, in her home after an illness.She was born November 4, 1934, in Montpelier, Vermont, the daughter of the late Armand and Irene (Caron) Sabourin. Mrs. Albert worked for Shamrock Liquors, DeMoulas Market and McDonald’s. She was a member of St. Anthony di Padua Parish. She was past President of the Italian American War Veterans in Malden. She was also Deputy Representative at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Bedford. Mrs. Albert was a member of the Sons of Italy Christoforo Columbus Regina Elena Lodge # 169, the second Lodge established in the state of Massachusetts. She was also an auxiliary member of the American Legion. She was an avid bingo player and a Parent Professional at St. Anthony School.She leaves her husband, Joseph Albert; 2 sons, Michael Albert and his wife Sandra of San Jose, CA, and Joseph A. Albert and his wife Susan of Westminster; 3 daughters, Mary L. Boudreau of Fitchburg, Anna Presutti and her husband Robert of Weathersfield, CT, and Joan M. Albert of Saco, ME; 1 brother, Edward Sabourin and his wife Anna of Fitchburg; 2 sisters Lucille Cochran of Leominster, Clair Scott and her husband Douglas of Claremont, NH; 8 grandchildren, Ross Albert of Westminster, Amy Boudreau of Athol, Beth Ann Boudreau of Fitchburg, Robbie Presutti and Michael Presutti, both of Weatherfield, CT, Cary Albert, Courtney Albert, and Nicholas Albert, all of Ft. Campbell, KY.The funeral will be held Friday, May 20, from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Anthony di Padua Church, 84 Salem St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.Calling hours are Thursday, May 19, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. in the funeral home. WYOMING, Del. -- Raymond H. Bonin, 91, a resident of Wyoming and formerly of Long Beach, Miss., and Lowell, died Saturday, May 14, at the Capitol Health Care Nursing Home in Dover. He was the husband of the late Cecile M. (Morrissette) Bonin and Jean (Stewart) Bonin.He was was born in Springfield, Mass., on Jan. 14, 1914, son of the late Joseph R. and Angeline (Peloquin) Bonin.Mr. Bonin served in the Navy during World War II.He worked as a pipe fitter for Merrimack Mills, Raytheon Co., and Lowell General Hospital before retiring in 1978.While a resident of Lowell's Centralville, Mr. Bonin was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church, and was a former member of the Lowell Lodge of Elks, the Salem-Derry Lodge of Elks and the Dracut Senior Citizens.In 1984, Mr. Bonin moved to Long Beach, Miss., and was a communicant of St. Mary Church there. He was also a member of the Long Beach Yacht Club and the Gulf Coast Jazz Society.Mr. Bonin had been a resident of Wyoming since 2000.His survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Senior Master Sgt. Richard R. Bonin Sr. and Blanche Y. Bonin, of Biloxi, Miss.; a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine M. and Richard B. Woten of Wyoming; seven grandchildren, Elaine L. Geiser, Deborah A. Barron, Richard R. ROY Napoleon (King) The entire Canadian farming and agribusiness community is mourning the loss of one of its best-known members. Napoleon Roy (King), 93, a pioneer in hybrid seed production, died Monday, May 16, 2005. Roy put Dover Township on the world map with his varied agribusiness ventures over nearly a century. They included establishment of the highly-successful King Grain Company, which provided employment for hundreds of Pain Court and Chatham-Kent area residents. The life-long Pain Court resident received numerous honours throughout his life. He was inducted into the Kent County Agricultural Hall of Fame in 1989, a year after receiving a Ministry of Agriculture and Food Centennial Award. Roy became an honourary life member of the Canadian Seed Trade Association in 1982. He was named Agriculturalist of the Year in 1978 by the Chatham and District Chamber of Commerce and received a Queen's Medal in 1977. Roy was recognized by the Quebec government in 1971 for outstanding service to the development of grain corn in that province and was later given an honourary life membership in the Canadian Seed Growers' Association. In 1975, Roy was presented with an OAC Centennial Medal from the Ontario Agricultural College in Guelph for his contributions to the world of agriculture. In addition to being among the first to produce hybrid seed corn in Canada, Roy introduced the Pride Brand to Canada and marketed seed corn across Canada and the United States and developed good marketing ventures in France and Chile. The King organization was responsible for establishing a corn milling facility in Chatham. He promoted the sale of Canadian soybeans in Pacific Rim countries, farmed on Walpole and St. Anne's Islands in the St. Clair River and is credited with promoting the use of certified seed and herbicides in Quebec. Roy is a past-president of the Chatham and District Chamber of Commerce, a former Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow, past-chairman of the St. Joseph's Hospital Advisory Board, a founding member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and past-president of the Immaculate Conception Church Parish Council. He was once described by life-long friend, Joseph Richer, as a "man with a dream and a mission. His dream - agriculture, his mission - a burning desire to be the best." Richer said Roy had all of the qualities of a leader - a religious man with faith in himself, possessed confidence in himself and instilled it in those around him.Roy was born in 1912 in Pain Court, the oldest in a family of 9 children. His parents were the late Henri Roy and the former Anna Pinsonneault. Roy's first wife, Pauline Caron, died in 1948. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite Brule, 9 children, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 7 sisters. Layton Ducote, Sr., of Bisbee, AZ, died peacefully in Phoenix Sunday morning, May 15, 2005 at the age of 96. At his side was his wife of 73 years, Berniece. Layton was born in Cottonport, La., in July 1908, the second of seven children. He went to New Mexico as a young man to work with his uncle Felix Gauthier in the dry goods business. He married Berniece in January 1933. He is survived by his four children, Layton, Jr. of Phoenix, Don of Sierra Vista, Diane (Michael) Quinn of Phoenix and Richard (Wendy) of Tucson. He is also survived by his brother, Ray of Baton Rouge and 12 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. He was a long-time employee of Phelps Dodge in Bisbee, an accomplished carpenter, a loving husband and family man. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 22, 2005 at 10:30 AM at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr., Chandler, AZ 85225. Memorial Contributions to Hospice of The Valley, 1510 E. Helen Vincent March 29, 1923 - May 15, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home It is with utmost sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother on May 15, 2005. Helen was born March 29, 1923 to Isaac and Helene Derksen in Neuendorf, Russia and came to Canada via Mexico in 1926. She grew up in Fusilier and Bournemouth, Saskatchewan, moving to Winnipeg in 1942. She worked at the Royal Bank for ten years. Helen married Lester Vincent in 1950, and together they ran X-L Refrigeration for many years, Helen answering the phone, bookkeeping and raising four children. Her house was filled with animals, and always had a dog and a budgie, plus rabbits, finches, gerbils, mice, cats, rats, fish and even a crow. The neighbourhood children envied us as living in the house with the rabbit and the apple tree. Helen had a great faith in God, and belonged to Bethel Mennonite Church, where she worked in the Sunday School for fifty years as a teacher and a coordinator. She loved all the children and missed seeing their smiling faces during her illness. Left to cherish her memory are her children Pat (Phil), Wendy (Jim), James (Renate) and Ina (Weldon), grandchildren Tim, Tyler, Nicole, Caitlin, James, Neil, Rachel and Nathaniel, sisters Anne (Bill Easton) and Elvira (Frank Letkeman), sister-in-law Lil Derksen, dear friends Anne Giesbrecht and Mary Thiessen, and many nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband Lester, and her brothers Peter and Isaac. Pallbearers will be Tim Tynes, Tyler Tynes, James McGugan, Gary Letkeman, Phil Tynes, Jim McGugan. Honourary pallbearer Nathaniel Hiebert. Funeral services will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church, 870 Carter Ave. on May 20 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Ave., followed by a reception back at the church. Mary was born Aug. 11, 1928 in Crilly, Ont. She was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Ellen Milmore; brother, Denis Milmore; first husband, Charles Walsh; second husband, James Hubert; and daughter, Denise Milmore. Mary is survived by her children, Leonard (Betty) Walsh, Charles (Michelle) Walsh, Stewart (Jodi) Hubert, and Kimberly (Blair) Bruyere, all of Fort Frances, Ont.; grandchildren, Christine, Tina, Tammy, Cheryl, Elaine, Roger, Bobby, Joanie, Angela, Stacey, Jerimiah, Anissa, James, and Tyrel; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and all the people we brought into her life and she adopted as a part of her family. The great love of Mary’s life was her family. She loved to spend time over coffee telling stories, reminiscing, and just being part of their lives. Mary was a member of the Salvation Army and enjoyed her time with the Circle of Life Friendship Circle at the UNFC. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the East End Hall. In accordance with Mary’s wishes, cremation will take place.
