Outre sa famille religieuse, elle laisse dans le deuil ses neveux et nièces, ses cousins et cousines et des ami(e)s. Elle fut prédécédée par deux soeurs, Marie-Anna (feu Arthur Lachaîne) et Irène (feu Fred Graham), par 3 frères: Philippe (feu Laurette Lessard), Donat (feu Jeanne Quesnel), Victor (prêtre). Dumont Hospital, Moncton, Monday, May 16, 2005, after a determined battle with cancer. Born in Caraquet, NB, he was 80 years. He was the son of the late Edgar Albert and Eva (Lanteigne) Albert. After serving in Europe in WWII he earned a degree in Civil Engineering at McGill and UN. He worked for the NB Department of Transportation and several Irving Companies. Later, he established several family run businesses in the Road Construction, Lumber, and cranberry cultivation sectors, all in Rexton, NB. Survived by his wife Thérèse, one daughter Jocelyne, three sons André (Sandy), Maurice (Kim) and David (Shirley), one sister Lydwine Chaisson, Bathurst, one brother Auguste Albert, Caraquet, nine grandchildren. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 2-4, 7-9 and Wednesday 24 and 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral. Marion A. Foster 1924 - 2005 SHEDIAC CAPE, NB - Marion Audrey Foster, 80, of Route 134, Shediac Cape, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, May 15, 2005. Born in Lewisville on December 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lena (Elliott) Killam. Marion was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an active member of St. Martin's-in-the-Woods Anglican Church, Shediac Cape, serving with the Anglican Church Women, Ladies Guild and quilting Group. She was also a member of the Silver Sands Senior Club, and enjoyed teaching Sunday School in her earlier years. Marion will be sadly missed by her daughter, Lois (Hugh) Bateman; grandchildren, Tracy (Walter) Prince, Martin (Candy) Bateman; great grandchildren, Lynn, Tristen, Arlena, Samantha, Allyson, Zachary; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alvin L. Foster in 1985; two brothers, Donald and Gerald; and one sister, Enid. No visitation by request. HOLMES, THOMAS WALTER - The death of Thomas W. Holmes, husband of Mary E. Holmes, occurred on May 16, 2005, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Walter and Helen (Butler) Holmes. He was a printer-pressman by trade working for Barnes-Hopkins and then Quebecor. He enjoyed a host of outdoor actives including hunting, fishing and golf and was a member of the ATV Club and the Sussex Golf Club. Besides his wife he is survived by his son Joe Holmes (Crystal) of Saint John, his daughters Mary Couillard (Eugene) of Saint John, Linda Trenholm (Darren) of Oxford, NS, his brother Joseph Holmes (Anne) of Saint John, his sisters Mary Hitchcock of Sussex, Margaret Galbraith (Malcolm) of Woodstock, ON, Patricia Curbishley (Herbert) of Springhill, NB, Agnes Mitchell of Saint John, Jean McKeon (Terry) of Saint John, his grandchildren Alex Holmes and Evelyn and Patrick Couillard, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Victoria Couillard. WEBSTER, MILTON GEORGE - The death of Milton G. Webster, age 82, of Bloomfield, Kings Co, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Monday, May 16, 2005. Milton was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Veysey) Webster. He had a passion for walking and was seen walking almost daily. He also enjoyed playing bingo. He was the happiest when friends and family came to visit. He is survived by his loving companion and the love of his life for 37 years, Gertrude, and their children, Harold (Debbie), Gordon (Wendy), Gerald (Catherine), and daughter, Janet (Rickey Brown); daughter-in-law, Norma; grandchildren, Kelly, Chad, Christopher, Carrie-Anne, Justin, Cheryl, Matthew, and Sarah; as well as eight great-grandchildren. John "Hutch" Ross Hutchinson March 25, 1948 - May 14, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) HUTCHINSON, John Ross "Hutch" - 57, Dartmouth, died peacefully Saturday, May 14, 2005, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by his loving wife and mother-in-law, after a long and very courageous battle with cancer. John was a son of the late Erie Elizabeth Harrison and the late William Everett Hutchinson. Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., John attended Sir James Dunn High School and Sault Collegiate, where he was a member of both the football and track and field teams. After High School John moved to Halifax to attend Saint Mary's University where he was also a member of the football team. He graduated from Saint Mary's with a B.A. and a B.Ed. and went on to teach for several years, working with special needs children. This was a profession he enjoyed very much, but later decided to enter the retail sales business, bringing him to open his first store, The Rye and Pickle Deli. Later he opened Spring Garden Grocery, later moving onto the Colburg Freshmart. Being a very driven man, John also found time to start a renovation business. This was the work he enjoyed most and was a perfectionist with every detail. John was a true friend with a kind gentle manner. He brought happiness to everyone who knew him. John is survived by his adoring wife, Holly; John's daughter Megan and son Cary, both of Windsor, Hants Co.; brothers, Billy (Terry) Sault Ste. Marie; Peter, China; John's niece and nephew, Tina, Toronto; and Chas, Sault Ste. Marie; mother-in-law, Catherine Gallant. John will also be greatly missed by family pets, Ralphie and Jake. He was predeceased by stepfather, Charles Henry Harrison (Sault Ste. Marie). Many thanks to all of our wonderful friends and family for their love and support and an extra special thanks to friends Michelle and Pablo for the extensive help and support during John's illness. David Shpirko November 01, 1924 - May 13, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Jenkens Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre Mr. David Shpirko, aged 80 years, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a long illness at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on Friday, May 13, 2005. David was born in the home of his maternal grandparents John and Helena Jarva in Schreiber, Ontario on November 1, 1924 and as a young child he moved with his parents Daniel Shpirko and Salme Jarva to Fort William. Many people retain fond memories of the May Street store and barbershop that were his family’s business for many years. David attended high school at F.W.C.I. and was an outstanding rugby player. He became a wireless mechanic with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served on the west coast. David became employed with Cochrane-Dunlop Hardware Ltd. and was appointed Manager of the branch serving North Western Ontario. He was a respected businessman who took great pride in serving our local industries. David married Shirley Keith on August 10, 1951 and they had two daughters, Debra and Allyson. Their 53 year marriage has been a model of devotion, love and respect. They took great pleasure in family and community life and in relationships with many treasured close friends. David belonged to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. He was an avid curler and golfer and both he and Shirley belonged to the Fort William Country Club for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a committed and proud attendant at annual Remembrance Day ceremonies and was immensely proud of his country. He read widely, taking a keen and intellectual interest in many subjects. He was a story teller – always regaling us with stories about events that happened in his youth. He built his own family home. David loved to travel and exposed his family to many interesting and broad experiences. He contributed generously to charities and interests of his choice and was open to the world and to people. David was kind, intelligent and compassionate. Mr. Shpirko is survived by his wife Shirley Shpirko, daughters Debbie Bennett and Allyson Shpirko, granddaughter Lindsay Bennett of Hamilton as well as nieces and nephews. We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to Rev. Bert Vancook, Dr. Paul Watson, Anne Ross, Laura Devereaux and the many nurses on 2A and in hemodialysis and the physio and occupational therapists. Sandra Hajduk (Simpson) November 05, 1939 - May 15, 2005 Peacefully on May 15, 2005, Sandra passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age 65 years with her husband at her side. Lucy Drawson (née Kulikowski) The family of Lucy Drawson, of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, sadly announces her passing on Monday, May 16, 2005, two days before her 93rd birthday. Lucy came to Poplar Bay as a three year old where her mother and father, Anna and Adam Kulikowski, began to homestead. She married George Drawson in 1932. They moved to Bird River where the Drawson family were pioneers. Later, George and Lucy moved from Bird River to Poine du Bois and then to Lac du Bonnet when George retired from City Hydro. George and Lucy were married until his passing in 1990. Lucy leaves behind her beloved son Gordon (Margaret), grandson Gregory (Krista) and Gary (Alanna) and her four great grandchildren Erin, Morgan, Connor and Lia. She is also survived by sisters Emma Hrychaney of Lac du Bonnet and Selma Putrus of Vancouver, British Columbia; brothers John and August Kulikowski of Lac du Bonnet. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Wilma Drawson and brothers Carl and George. OBITUARY DANIEL FUNDYTUS January 21, 1919 - May 14, 2005 Peacefully, on Saturday, May 14, 2005, Daniel passed away at the Pinawa Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Constance, daughter Susan Cowan, son Gary Fund (Merle) and granddaughter Erin. Daniel was predeceased by his father Julian and his mother Natalie, his brother Murray and his sisters Jean and Irene. Daniel was born in Winnipeg in 1919. He and Constance were married in Montreal in 1945 and on March 10, 2005, celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary in Pinawa. Daniel worked at Northern Electric Co. for twenty-five years and at Atomic Energy in Pinawa for eleven years prior to his retirement. The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the loving care given by Dr. A. Petkau and all the Pinawa Hospital staff members during the past year. Cremation has taken place. Great-grandmother of Sarah, Trevor, Kathryn and Seamus. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all family members and many friends who have remained dear to her over the years. She was entrusted to Complexe Funeraire Guay Inc., 146 St. Louis, St. Eustache. Family will receive condolences on Thursday, May 19 from 12 to 2 p.m., followed by a prayer gathering, thence to Ste. Agapit Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of the Manoir St. Eustache for their exceptional care. Donations to the Canadian Institute for the Blind would be appreciated.
